Look at the SIGNAL section of the panel.
HTF Trend shows ▲ BULL or ▼ BEAR based on a confirmed higher
timeframe EMA. Only take setups in this direction.
Counter-trend setups are automatically penalised by the score.
STEP 2 — WAIT FOR THE ENTRY WINDOW
When score reaches your Signal Threshold (default 75), the panel
shows "✓ ENTRY WINDOW" and a green Entry Zone box appears on the chart.
Do not enter below this threshold — conditions are not aligned.
STEP 3 — CHECK THE CAUTION ROW
The panel always shows your weakest component.
Caution: Momentum ↓ → wait for a strong candle close
Caution: Session ↓ → wait for market session to open
Caution: Structure ↓ → you may be entering against the trend
Fix the caution before entering.
STEP 4 — LOOK FOR PRIME AND PERSISTENCE
PRIME label (score ≥80) = all 5 factors aligned. Best entries.

2. PROXIMITY (default 25%)
Measures distance from the nearest confirmed pivot high or low

HA is the headline use, so it gets dedicated tools:
Double Smooth — runs the Heikin Ashi calculation a second time for an even cleaner trend read with almost no noise. Flips are rarer but more reliable.
Strong Candles — highlights candles with no lower wick (strong bullish) or no upper wick (strong bearish), the candles that mark the heart of a trending move.
Flip Markers — a triangle whenever the candle color changes direction, so you never miss a turn.
Streak Counter — a live count of consecutive same-direction candles for gauging trend strength at a glance.
Candle Patterns (Candles / Bars)
Inside Bars — marks compression bars sitting fully inside the prior bar's range, which often precede an expansion.
Engulfing — marks bars whose body fully engulfs the previous bar in the opposite direction. Bull engulfing below the bar, bear engulfing above.
Baseline Tools
Crossover Markers — triangles at each cross of the baseline reference, the core baseline signal.
Fill To Baseline — shades green above the baseline, red below, so price position is obvious instantly.
Coloring Modes
Direction — each bar colored by close versus its own open.
Momentum — each bar colored by close versus the previous close, regardless of the bar's own direction.
Trend — colored by whether price is above or below its moving average, with an optional trend line.
Single Color — one color everywhere.

Multi-Timeframe — render any higher timeframe on your chart, with an optional setting to show only fully-closed bars.

Recommended Setup
For accurate visuals, keep your base chart on a standard type (Candles or Bars) and use Phantom Chart for the alternative view. If your base chart itself is set to Heikin Ashi or another transformed type, the overlay will reflect those transformed values rather than real prices — a built-in warning label appears when this is detected.
Tip
You can add Phantom Chart more than once to layer multiple views — for example a Heikin Ashi read alongside a clean line of real closes — each instance with its own settings.

The indicator builds support and resistance areas from clustered pivot highs and pivot lows.
A resistance zone appears where price has previously reacted from above.
A support zone appears where price has previously held from below.
These zones are not exact prediction levels. They are visual areas where price has shown previous market interest and where traders may want to pay closer attention.
2. Premium / Balance / Discount Areas
The script divides the recent price range into three visual areas:
Premium area — the upper part of the range.
Balance area — the middle part of the range.
Discount area — the lower part of the range.
This helps traders understand whether price is currently high, low, or balanced within the recent market structure.
3. Dynamic Trend Lines
The indicator can project dynamic trend lines from recent pivot highs and pivot lows.
The red projected line represents the slope of recent highs.
The green projected line represents the slope of recent lows.
These lines are designed for visual structure reading only. They are not automatic entry or exit signals.
4. Dashboard
The dashboard gives a compact summary of the current market context:
Market — bullish, bearish, or neutral trend context based on EMA structure.
Zone — current location of price: support, resistance, premium, discount, balance, or middle.

Multi Time Score StrategyMulti Time Score Strategy is a multi-timeframe backtesting strategy designed for USDJPY on the 5-minute chart.
The strategy measures price position across several timeframes: 5-minute, 15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour, daily, and weekly. The current ATR value is percentile-ranked over the last 100 bars using a percentrank function, producing a real-time volatility percentile reading. Additionally, the system monitors whether Bollinger Bands are compressed inside Keltner Channels — the squeeze condition.
Three scaling states:
Squeeze active (BB inside KC) — multiplier scales down to the Adaptive Min Scale (default: 0.85×). Bands tighten. During a squeeze, price movement is compressed and the natural pullback range is narrower — tighter bands correctly reflect this reduced volatility and avoid giving back gains unnecessarily when the market is coiling

Every time the trend flips, the profile resets and starts building fresh from the new trend origin.
What this means in practice: The profile always shows you the volume distribution of the current institutional delivery move — not an arbitrary date range, not the last N bars, but specifically the price levels where volume has concentrated since the institutional trend began. This is the most relevant possible volume profile for understanding the current trade's context.
Delta weighting:
When Delta-Weighted Volume is enabled (default: on), each bar's contribution to the volume profile is adjusted by the estimated directional bias of that candle:
In a bull trend — the bull volume estimate (close position within the high-low range × total volume) is used. Bullish candles contribute more weight to their price levels than bearish candles

Point of Control (POC):
The single price bin with the highest volume in the current trend segment. This is the price level where the most delta-weighted volume has traded since the trend began — the most liquid price in the current institutional move. Plotted as a solid purple line extending from the trend start to the right edge of the profile. The POC price is displayed live on the dashboard and is available as a take-profit target mode.
Value Area High (VAH) and Value Area Low (VAL):
The price range containing a configurable percentage of total segment volume (default: 70%). The value area represents the zone where the market spent 70% of its time and volume — the institutional fair value range for the current trend segment. VAH is plotted as a dashed yellow-green line; VAL as a dashed red line. These levels act as natural support and resistance within the trend — price frequently respects VAH and VAL on pullbacks before continuing in the trend direction.
High Volume Nodes (HVNs):
Local volume peaks within the profile — bins where volume is higher than both the bin immediately below and the bin immediately above. These are the institutional congregation zones — price levels where significant two-sided activity occurred. HVNs frequently act as magnets: price is attracted to them, and once reached, tends to spend time at them before continuing. The Require PD Zone setting enforces that long signals only fire when price is in discount and short signals only fire when price is in premium. 🚀 How to Trade with AlphaX ANCHOR — Step by Step
Step 1 — Establish Trend Context
Check the dashboard: what is the Anchor Trend? This is your trading direction — only take longs in ▲ BULLISH, only take shorts in ▼ BEARISH
Check HTF Bias — does the higher timeframe agree? A bull Anchor Trend with bull HTF Bias is the ideal setup condition
Check the Adaptive row — is the system in squeeze mode (0.85x SQZ)? If so, bands are tighter and a Band 4 touch is more likely. Expansion mode (1.15x) means wider bands and deeper pullbacks to reach Band 4
Note the POC and VAH/VAL levels on the dashboard and the chart. These are your key target and support/resistance levels within the current trend
Step 2 — Watch for Band 4 Approach
Monitor the heatmap — as price pulls back from the trend high, it moves progressively through the Band 1, 2, 3 fills. By the time price is deep in the Band 3 fill and approaching the solid Band 4 line, a retest touch is imminent
Check the live confluence label near Band 4. Is the bull score at or near the threshold? If so, a signal may fire on the next bar
Check the PD Zone row — is price in discount for a long entry? A Band 4 touch in discount zone is the optimal entry scenario
Step 3 — Enter on the ANCHOR Triangle
A ▲ triangle confirms the Band 4 touch with qualifying confluence. Enter on the close or next bar open
Note whether an HVN level is near the entry price — an HVN + Band 4 confluence entry is the highest-quality ANCHOR setup
The SL Guide dotted line shows your stop reference. The TP Guide shows the POC, opposite extreme, or ATR target depending on your mode setting
Step 4 — Manage with the Band Structure
As the trade moves in your favor, watch the bands ratchet upward (bull) with price — your trailing stop is automatically rising
The POC line is your primary profit target in POC Target mode. As price approaches the POC, consider scaling out
The VAH level (bull trend) acts as the next resistance after POC — if price clears VAH with momentum, the trade has potential to reach the trendHigh
If price pulls back into the Band 3 or Band 4 zone again without a trend flip, this is a secondary entry opportunity — the same confluence check applies
Step 5 — Trend Flip Exit
A close beyond Band 4 triggers a trend flip — the BEAR ▼ ANCHOR label appears, the bands invert, and the volume profile resets for the new trend segment
Exit the prior trend position on the flip bar or the following open
Wait for the new trend to establish and a Band 4 retest to develop in the new direction before re-entering

⚠ Identifying Low-Quality Conditions — When Not to Trade
Stand aside when:
Trend flips are occurring rapidly — multiple ▲ / ▼ ANCHOR flip labels in quick succession indicate a choppy, oscillating market where the Band 4 trailing stop is being crossed repeatedly. The volume profile will be very short (few bars since last flip) and the POC will be meaningless. Wait for a trend to establish and sustain for at least 10–15 bars before looking for Band 4 retest entries
HTF Bias opposes the anchor trend — a bull ANCHOR trend with bear HTF Bias means the current timeframe is moving against the higher timeframe flow. Band 4 retest entries in this environment carry significantly reduced success rates
ADX ✗ on the dashboard — the market is not trending. ANCHOR is a trend-following system by design — Band 4 touches in ranging markets frequently result in immediate trend flips rather than continuations
HVN Count shows 0 — the volume profile has not yet built enough data to identify volume nodes. This typically occurs immediately after a fresh trend flip. Wait for the trend to develop more bar history before relying on HVN confluence
Adaptive shows 1.15x (expansion) and price is approaching Band 4 rapidly — high-volatility expansion phases can produce fast, aggressive moves to Band 4 and beyond. Reduce position size in expansion mode entries
Price is in premium for a bull entry or discount for a bear entry — the PD Zone filter will block these automatically when enabled, but if disabled, be aware that entries at the wrong side of equilibrium carry structurally poor risk/reward
The ideal ANCHOR setup condition:
Anchor Trend established for 15+ bars — sufficient history for meaningful volume profile
HTF Bias aligned with trend direction
ADX ✓ confirming a trending market
Adaptive at 1.0x or 0.85x (normal or squeeze — not expansion)
Price in discount (bull) or premium (bear)
Band 4 touch coincides with a visible HVN level

All signals are confirmed on bar close — the indicator is non-repainting by design. Band positions and trend state finalize on confirmed bars only
The volume profile is recomputed on every bar using the full trend segment history. On very long trend segments (hundreds of bars), this computation is resource-intensive. The max_bars_back is set to 5000 to accommodate extended trend segments. If you notice performance degradation on very low timeframes with long chart history, reduce Profile Rows or reduce the chart's visible bar count
The volume profile is rendered only on the last bar and redrawn on every real-time update. Historical bars show the band structure but not the profile rendering — the profile always reflects the current trend segment state
When a trend flip occurs, the volume profile resets completely. The first few bars after a flip will show a very short profile with minimal data — meaningful HVN confluence typically requires 15–20+ bars of trend history to develop
The adaptive scale is based on ATR percentrank over 100 bars. On instruments or timeframes with less than 100 bars of history, the percentrank may not be fully calibrated. This is a warm-up effect and resolves naturally as history accumulates
The session filter is off by default because ANCHOR is designed as a multi-session trend system. Unlike scalping systems that are most effective during active hours, ANCHOR band retests can occur at any time during a developing trend. Enable the session filter only if you specifically want to restrict entries to active trading hours on your instrument
The Trade Status section tracks position direction from signal to exit within the chart session — it does not connect to your broker or brokerage account

█ TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
WT3D Spread takes a two-symbol spread — either subtract or ratio — and feeds it into the WaveTrend 3D (WT3D) oscillator engine. WT3D operates on tanh-bounded, quadratic-mean-normalised derivatives, which means the absolute scale of the input is irrelevant; only the rate-of-change shape matters. That property makes spreads a natural fit, because pair-trade dynamics, relative outperformance, and cross-asset divergence are all rate-of-change questions on relative price.
This script is not a re-skin of WT3D. The oscillator core is jdehorty's open-source WaveTrend 3D — credited and linked in full at the bottom — but the surrounding machinery is new and addresses problems the original wasn't built to solve.
█ WHAT THIS SCRIPT ADDS ON TOP OF WT3D
1. Two-symbol spread layer
A second symbol is selectable as an input. The script computes either close1 − close2 (Subtract) or close1 / close2 (Ratio) on the chart's timeframe and routes the resulting series through WT3D's normalisation pipeline as the source. Leg 1 is always the chart symbol and is read directly from `close` rather than through `request.security()` — one fewer security call and no exchange-prefix ambiguity.
Leg 2 is the reference you're measuring against. Common patterns: a broad-market benchmark (SPY, QQQ) for relative-strength against the market; a sector index ETF (XLK for tech, XLE for energy, XLF for financials, GDX for miners, etc.) for sector-relative strength; a single peer ticker for direct pair comparison; or a macro proxy (DXY, GLD, BTC) for currency or hard-asset framing. Because leg 1 follows the chart automatically, you can pin leg 2 to a fixed reference and arrow through a watchlist to rip through comparisons in sequence — each chart change reruns the spread, the oscillator, and the info table against the new chart ticker.
Subtract is the right choice when both legs trade at similar absolute prices (FX crosses, sector ETFs in the same band). Ratio is the right choice when prices differ by an order of magnitude (a $30 stock vs a $500 index ETF, or an altcoin vs BTC), and is also the more honest framing for "outperformance" — d(A/B)/dt carries a B term that doesn't cancel under quadratic-mean normalisation, so the signal genuinely responds to relative dynamics rather than to whichever leg happens to have the larger absolute moves.
2. Currency Mode — calendar-time inflation drag
Optional. When enabled, the info table shows the spread's real (inflation-adjusted) value alongside the nominal value, plus a running purchasing-power drag percentage. Inflation can be pulled live from FRED's T10YIFR series (the bond market's 5-year-5-year forward inflation expectation, used in preference to backward-looking CPI because the indicator is forward-anchored) or set manually for non-USD currencies or scenario testing.
The decay is calendar-time-based, not bar-based: pp_value at any bar equals (1 − inflation)^(years_since_anchor), with years_since_anchor computed from wall-clock timestamps. This matters because the conventional approach of compounding a daily decay factor per bar over-applies the drag on intraday timeframes (six 4H bars × one daily decay each per session) and under-applies it across weekends (no chart bars form while inflation continues). The calendar-time formulation works identically on 1H, daily, or weekly charts and correctly accounts for weekend and holiday gaps.
This adjustment is display-only and does not affect oscillator signals.
3. Anchor Lead tracking
Optional. Locks an anchor bar at the left visible edge on first render and tracks each leg's percentage return from that anchor onward. The info table shows which leg is leading "since anchor," by how many percentage points, and the underlying returns of both legs for context. Useful for separating long-baseline winners from short-term noise — the rolling lead/trend rows above answer "who's winning right now," and the anchor row answers "who's actually won over the period you've been watching."
4. Lead and trend analysis
Always on. Two rows in the info table summarise the current state of the spread: "Leading" identifies which leg is currently outperforming, measured against a 20-bar SMA of the spread and gated by a volatility-aware tie threshold so noise doesn't flip the label. "Trend" answers whether that lead is expanding, holding, or contracting versus five bars ago. Helps interpret the oscillator at a glance.
5. Info table
Theme-aware (auto-detects from the chart background, or force Dark/Light). Shows the two legs colour-tinted to match the bullish/bearish oscillator palette, the live spread value, the lead and trend rows, the optional anchor row, and the optional Currency Mode block.
█ READING THE OSCILLATOR
A bearish reading in this script is not a value judgment. It means Leg 2 is currently outperforming Leg 1 — exactly the same information as "Leg 1 is currently underperforming Leg 2," but the colour convention narrates one of those two readings and silences the other. Whether a red oscillator is good news for you depends entirely on which leg you own, are considering rotating into, or are using as a benchmark.
The green/red colour scheme is inherited from absolute-asset analysis, where in jdehorty's original WT3D red = bad makes perfect sense because there is only one asset and one perspective. On a relative-strength indicator the same colours code "which side is currently winning the spread," not "good versus bad." This is the central conceptual difference between WT3D Spread and the original.
Two pieces of the UI exist to keep this explicit. The "Above 0 ▲" and "Below 0 ▼" rows at the top of the info table show, in live tickers, exactly which symbol the convention maps to for your current pair — so the framing stays visible on every glance and you never have to memorise which colour means what. The "Leading" row further down names the actual winner in plain language regardless of the colour shown. If you want to soften the framing visually, the Use Mirror toggle in Signal Settings renders the chart symmetrically, making both perspectives equally weighted.
█ WHEN TO USE WHICH SPREAD MODE
The default is Ratio because it works universally. Stock divided by SPY, altcoin divided by BTC, a sector ETF divided by a broad-market ETF — all are dimensionless, bounded, and read as relative-strength in the conventional way. The oscillator responds to genuine relative dynamics regardless of how differently the two legs are priced.
Use Subtract instead when both legs trade at similar absolute levels and you specifically want the spread in raw price units. EUR/USD vs GBP/USD, two large-caps in the same band, two sector ETFs around the same price — Subtract gives you a clean dollar (or basis-point) reading. With unequally-priced legs, Subtract is misleading: a 2% move on the cheaper leg is dwarfed by a 0.5% move on the more expensive leg, so the oscillator ends up tracking the dominant leg's volatility rather than the actual relative dynamic.
█ WHAT THIS ISN'T
This is a momentum and divergence tool for spreads, not a statistical-arbitrage toolkit. If your workflow requires cointegration testing, residual half-life estimation, rolling hedge-ratio computation, or stationarity diagnostics, this isn't that. Use it for timing relative-strength shifts and spotting divergences within the WT3D framework, applied to a custom spread you've chosen.
Currency Mode is a display feature for showing real-value erosion against an inflation series. It does not feed back into the oscillator, and it makes the most sense when at least one leg of the spread carries fiat-currency exposure (a USD-denominated commodity, a currency index, a real-asset-vs-fiat pair). On a pure equity-vs-equity spread the Real Value row is technically computable but conceptually thin.

Core engine
The trail is built on an ATR-based adaptive band with an EMA center. The band ratchets in the direction of the position, meaning it only tightens and never loosens during an active trade. Defaults are tuned for NSE intraday: ATR period 9 (vs the typical 14), a base multiplier of 2.0 for Nifty and 2.25 for BankNifty, and a 14-period trail EMA.
An optional adaptive volatility multiplier reads the 100-bar ATR percentile rank and automatically widens the band in high-volatility regimes and tightens it in low-volatility ones.
Dynamic Quality Score (0 to 100)
Every signal is scored across five components. The weights are not fixed. They shift automatically based on what is happening in the market right now.
HTF Bias checks whether the higher-timeframe trend aligns with the signal. On a 15-minute chart, it reads the 1-hour. On a daily chart, it reads the weekly. The score is graduated: full marks for alignment, partial for neutral, zero for opposition.
Volume confirms whether institutional participation is present. For index charts where PulseWire reports zero volume, this weight is automatically redistributed to regime and HTF so the score stays meaningful.
RSI Momentum uses a gradient rather than a binary switch. A strong trending RSI scores full marks. A marginal RSI near the 50 line scores partial. An opposing RSI scores zero. This prevents overbought long signals from scoring the same as ideal momentum entries.
Market Regime combines ADX, Choppiness Index, and linear regression R-squared into a composite 0-100 regime score. Trending markets score high. Choppy markets score low. This score flows directly into the quality calculation.
Breakout Strength measures how decisively price pierced the trail band, capped at 3x ATR. Clean decisive breakouts score higher than marginal ones.
Signals are graded A (75 and above), B (55 to 74), or C (below 55). You can set a minimum quality threshold to filter out lower-conviction signals entirely.
Smart auto-adjust weight model
Three layers work together:
The base preset differs by instrument type. Index charts redistribute the volume weight (unavailable) to regime and HTF. Equity charts keep volume as a full component.
The auto-adjust layer shifts weights in real time based on session context. During the opening volatility window (09:15 to 09:45), HTF weight increases and breakout weight falls because gap-open band pierces are unreliable. During the expiry last-90-minute window, regime weight rises because IV-driven choppiness dominates. In high-volatility environments, regime rises and RSI falls.
The custom override layer lets you set your own weights via sliders if you want full control. The dashboard shows a live weight sum check to confirm your sliders add up correctly.
India-specific session intelligence
Session gate. Signals are blocked outside 09:15 to 15:30 IST. No false signals from pre-market or after-hours data.
Opening volatility window. Signals between 09:15 and 09:45 carry a ⚡ warning flag. This is the highest-noise window on NSE, where gap opens, institutional order flow, and retail panic all collide.
Expiry warning. Tuesday is Nifty and FinNifty expiry. Thursday is Sensex and BankNifty expiry. Signals during the last 90 minutes of those days (13:00 to 15:30) carry a 🔔 warning flag. Signals still appear so you can make your own judgment, but the flag tells you to apply extra scrutiny.
All three flags can appear together on the same signal. The dashboard also shows a live session status row so you always know which context you are trading in.
Risk management
Four presets: Conservative (SL 2.5x ATR), Balanced (SL 1.5x ATR, recommended for index), Aggressive (SL 1.0x ATR), and Scalping (SL 0.8x ATR). All three TP levels are expressed as R-multiples of the SL distance so the reward-to-risk relationship scales automatically with volatility.
Break-even option moves the stop to entry after TP1 is hit, letting the trade run to TP2 and TP3 risk-free. For intraday options trading, consider disabling this as IV spikes can trigger the BE stop before the real move to TP2 develops.
Dashboard
A unified four-section panel shows live trade status (direction, grade, SL/TP levels, R:R gauge, bars in trade, session status), market context (regime with visual gauge, HTF bias, volume, RSI, ATR), active weights (live readout of all five components plus mode indicator), and session statistics (signals by grade, win/loss count, win rate, average R-multiple, break-even saves, position flips).
How to set it up
Set the instrument type first: Index or Equity. For indices, also select the subtype (Nifty/FinNifty, BankNifty/Sensex, or MidcapNifty). This drives the base weight preset and shows ATR multiplier guidance on the dashboard.
For Nifty on 15-minute charts, the recommended starting configuration is ATR 9, multiplier 2.0, trail EMA 14, Balanced risk preset, adaptive multiplier on, ratchet on.
For BankNifty or Sensex, raise the multiplier to 2.25 or 2.5 to account for the wider intraday range.
For daily chart swing trading on equities, use ATR 13, trail EMA 21, Conservative or Balanced preset.
