1 — Smart Support & Resistance Zones
AlphaX Edge automatically detects, merges, and manages S/R zones using pivot-based swing detection. Each zone is:
Built from confirmed swing highs and lows using a configurable swing length
Merged automatically when two levels fall within a user-defined ATR multiplier — preventing zone clutter
Color-coded by role: yellow-green for confirmed support, red for confirmed resistance, gray for untested levels
Aged out after a configurable number of bars to keep the chart clean and relevant
Upgraded from neutral to confirmed only after a minimum number of touches — preventing weak levels from triggering signals
When price approaches a confirmed zone from above, the zone acts as resistance. When approached from below, it acts as support. Broken zones flip polarity — a broken resistance becomes support and vice versa — and are tracked for retest opportunities.
2 — Breakout Detection with Anti-Fake Filter
A breakout is confirmed only when all of the following conditions are met simultaneously:
The candle body closes convincingly beyond the zone boundary (not just a wick poke)
The candle body represents at least 40% of the total candle range — no doji or indecision candles
Volume confirms participation (configurable: require spike or simply above-average volume)
A cooldown timer prevents repeated breakout labels during choppy back-and-forth action
RSI is not at an extreme overbought/oversold level — unless ADX confirms the trend is genuinely strong (preventing exhaustion breakout entries)
3 — Trend Structure Analysis
AlphaX Edge tracks market structure using higher swing pivots — independently from the S/R zone engine. It identifies:
Higher Highs + Higher Lows → confirmed uptrend structure
Lower Highs + Lower Lows → confirmed downtrend structure
Trend line drawn automatically connecting the most recent pivot lows (uptrend) or pivot highs (downtrend)

Why it's the strongest: The volume spike occurring immediately after or alongside the breakout label confirms that institutional participation is behind the move. A breakout without volume is frequently a trap — a breakout with a volume spike right after is significantly more likely to follow through.
How to enter:
Wait for the breakout label to appear AND see the volume spike dot on the same or next 1–2 candles
Enter at market on the close of the volume spike candle, or on a small pullback into the broken level
Stop loss: just below the broken resistance (for longs) or just above the broken support (for shorts) — beyond the zone boundary
Target: next S/R zone visible on the chart, or a 1.5–2x ATR minimum

How to use the trend label:
Treat it as a directional bias reset — from this point forward, only look for long setups (after UPTREND ▲) or short setups (after DOWNTREND ▼)
Wait for the first confluence triangle signal that appears after the trend label — this is your primary entry in the new trend direction
Alternatively, wait for price to pull back to the nearest S/R zone or EMA and generate a confluence signal there
The closer the first post-label triangle is to an S/R zone and the 21 or 50 EMA, the higher the trade quality

⚠ The Stretched Breakout — When to Be Careful

Stretched breakout without volume spike → Stand aside or reduce size significantly. The move has likely already travelled the bulk of its range for this leg, and a snapback to the EMAs is the more probable next event.
Stretched breakout with volume spike within 1–2 candles → Momentum is genuine, but manage it differently:
Do not chase — wait for a small pullback toward the broken level or the Fast EMA
Use a tighter stop and reduced position size

EMAs converging and flattening — when all three EMAs cluster together and move sideways, there is no directional bias. Signals in this environment are lower quality regardless of score.
No active trend label — if neither UPTREND ▲ nor DOWNTREND ▼ has appeared recently, the market is in a structural no-man's-land. Wait for structure to develop.
Dashboard shows WEAK TREND — STAND ASIDE or MIXED — STAND ASIDE — these verdict states indicate that ADX is below threshold or bull and bear scores are close. Both are warning signs.
Squeeze is ON (● SQUEEZE ON in dashboard) — do not enter during an active squeeze. Wait for the squeeze to fire (◆ SQUEEZE FIRED) and for a directional confluence signal to follow.
Rapid alternating UPTREND/DOWNTREND labels — if the trend structure labels are flipping frequently, the market is whipsawing. The cooldown filter reduces this, but the message is clear: no clean trend is present.

At the foundation of AlphaX Sniper is a four-EMA Trend Engine that scores the current market structure from -4 to +4 and classifies it into distinct trend states:
Fast EMA (8) — immediate momentum reference, most sensitive to price changes

Slow EMA (55) — the trend backbone, filters short-term noise
Anchor EMA (200) — the macro structural divider; being above or below it determines the dominant bias

🎯 Three-Tier Signal Grading (A / AA / AAA)
Tiered signal labels — AAA signals carry the highest confluence score and strongest setup quality
Once the confluence scores are calculated and all filters pass, signals are graded into three quality tiers:
AAA ▲ / ▼ — Score ≥ 65. Maximum confluence. All major factors aligned. Highest-conviction entries. Displayed with the brightest label color.
AA ▲ / ▼ — Score 45–64. Strong setup with multiple confirming factors. High-quality entry with most conditions in your favor.
A ▲ / ▼ — Score 30–44. Valid setup meeting all trigger and filter requirements, but fewer confirming factors. Still a filtered, quality signal — not noise.
Signals below 30 are never displayed regardless of trigger conditions. The tier label appears directly on the chart with the score printed in parentheses so you can see exactly how strong the confluence was: e.g. ▲ AAA (71) or ▼ AA (52) .
A cooldown window (default: 5 bars) prevents back-to-back signals from firing in quick succession during choppy conditions. Bull and bear cooldowns are tracked independently.

📐 ATR-Based TP/SL Levels
Automatically plotted TP1, TP2, TP3, and SL dashed lines extending forward from every signal bar
Every signal automatically generates a full set of Take Profit and Stop Loss levels based on the current ATR, placing them at configurable multiples of market volatility rather than fixed pip values:
Stop Loss — 1.5× ATR from entry (default) — tight enough to protect capital, wide enough to breathe
TP1 — 1.5× ATR — the conservative first target, ideal for partial profit-taking
TP2 — 3.0× ATR — the primary target for the main portion of the position
TP3 — 5.0× ATR — the extended runner target for strong momentum moves
All levels are plotted as dashed horizontal lines extending 25 bars forward from the signal bar with clean price labels. As price hits each level, a TP1 ✓ / TP2 ✓ / TP3 ✓ marker appears on the chart and the dashboard TP Status updates in real time. When the stop loss is hit, a SL ✕ marker appears and the active trade state resets.
All ATR multiples are fully configurable. Adjust the SL multiple tighter for higher-timeframe trades or wider for volatile instruments like XAUUSD during news events.

🛡 Trailing Stop
A dynamic trailing stop follows the active trade, ratcheting in the direction of the move to protect accumulated profits:
During a long trade — the trail is calculated as close − (ATR × multiplier) and only moves upward, never retracing
During a short trade — the trail is close + (ATR × multiplier) and only moves downward
If price violates the trailing stop, the active trade state resets and the trail line disappears
Default trail multiplier: 2.0× ATR — aggressive enough to capture trends while giving the position room to breathe
The trailing stop is plotted as a step-line in the bull or bear color and updates on every bar in real time.

🗺 Sniper Kill Zones
Shaded entry zones appearing on signal bars — the price area between the entry candle and the stop loss level
On every signal bar, AlphaX Sniper draws a Sniper Kill Zone — a shaded rectangular box that marks the entry price area:
For bull signals — the zone spans from the signal bar's high down to the stop loss level, colored in the bull theme
For bear signals — the zone spans from the stop loss level down to the bar's low, colored in the bear theme
The box extends forward a configurable number of bars (default: 6) to visually represent the entry window
Kill zones serve as a visual reminder of where a valid re-entry or limit order can be placed after the initial signal bar closes. If price pulls back into the zone during the next few bars, the setup is still within its original risk structure.

⏱ Session Filter & Session Quality
Session timing has a direct impact on signal quality. AlphaX Sniper tracks four session windows based on UTC/GMT time:
London/NY Overlap — highest liquidity, strongest follow-through, 100 session quality score
New York — strong directional sessions, 85 quality score
London — clean trend sessions especially in the open, 80 quality score
Asia — lowest liquidity, prone to false moves, 30 quality score — signals here receive an -8 point penalty
The optional Session Filter can be enabled to block all signals outside of London and NY entirely. When disabled (default), the session quality factor still penalizes Asian session signals through the scoring system — you see them, but they score lower.

📐 Market Structure — BOS & CHoCH
The foundation of smart money analysis is understanding where structure breaks and when character changes .
Break of Structure (BOS)
A BOS occurs when price breaks a swing high or swing low in the direction of the existing trend — confirming that the current trend is continuing. BOS is plotted as a dashed horizontal line at the broken level with a "BOS" label offset slightly above or below for clear visibility.
Bullish BOS — price closes above a prior swing high while the market is already in a bullish structure. This confirms buyers remain in control and the uptrend is intact.
Bearish BOS — price closes below a prior swing low while the market is already in a bearish structure. This confirms sellers remain dominant and the downtrend continues.
Change of Character (CHoCH)
A CHoCH occurs when price breaks a swing high or swing low against the direction of the existing trend — signaling a potential trend reversal. CHoCH is plotted as a dotted horizontal line (visually distinct from BOS) with a "CHoCH" label.
Bullish CHoCH — price closes above a swing high while the market was previously bearish. This is the first structural sign that sellers may have lost control and a bullish reversal is forming.
Bearish CHoCH — price closes below a swing low while the market was previously bullish. This warns that buyers may be exhausted and a bearish reversal could be underway.
CHoCH is the earliest structural reversal signal. When you see a CHoCH followed by a BOS in the new direction, the trend shift is confirmed.
The indicator tracks the internal market trend state automatically. Once a bullish CHoCH fires, all subsequent structure breaks in the same direction are classified as BOS (continuation) until a bearish CHoCH resets the trend — and vice versa.
Swing Classification
When swing point labels are enabled, each pivot is classified as:
HH — Higher High (bullish continuation)
HL — Higher Low (bullish continuation)
LH — Lower High (bearish continuation)
LL — Lower Low (bearish continuation)
This gives you the complete market structure sequence — HH + HL = uptrend, LH + LL = downtrend — at a glance without manually marking swings.

📦 Order Blocks (OB) — With Touch Tracking
Order Blocks are the last opposing candle before a strong move — the zone where institutional orders were placed. AlphaX Structure detects Order Blocks automatically using two methods:
Engulfing Pattern Detection — a candle that fully engulfs the prior candle's body, indicating aggressive institutional entry
Strong Displacement Detection — a candle that breaks through two prior bars' highs or lows, showing powerful directional commitment
Each Order Block is drawn as a filled box spanning the body of the origin candle. The box extends forward in time, remaining on the chart as a potential reaction zone.
What makes this unique — Touch Counting:
Most SMC indicators simply show or hide Order Blocks. AlphaX Structure tracks how many times price retests each Order Block and displays the count directly on the label:
OB — fresh, untested Order Block
OB ×1 — price has retested this zone once
OB ×2 — price has retested this zone twice
OB ×3+ — multiple retests — the zone is weakening
This is critical information. A fresh OB with zero touches is the highest probability reaction zone. An OB that has been tested 3 or more times is significantly weaker — institutional orders at that level have likely been filled, and the zone may fail on the next test.
Mitigation:
When price closes through an Order Block (beyond its far edge), the OB is considered mitigated . It grays out and stops extending — visually clearing the chart while preserving the historical record of where the zone existed.

⚡ Fair Value Gaps (FVG) — With Fill Percentage
A Fair Value Gap is a three-candle imbalance where the wick of the first candle and the wick of the third candle do not overlap — creating a gap in price that represents inefficient price delivery. These gaps act as magnets that price tends to return to and fill.
Bullish FVG — gap between the high of candle 1 and the low of candle 3 (upward imbalance). Price tends to pull back down to fill this gap before continuing higher.
Bearish FVG — gap between the low of candle 1 and the high of candle 3 (downward imbalance). Price tends to push back up to fill this gap before continuing lower.
Each FVG is drawn as a dotted-border box with a midpoint line through the center. The midpoint represents the 50% level of the imbalance — often the precise level where price reacts.
What makes this unique — Real-Time Fill Percentage:
AlphaX Structure calculates and displays how much of each FVG has been filled as price returns to the zone:
FVG — unfilled gap, no price has entered the zone
FVG 35% — price has partially filled 35% of the gap
FVG 72% — price has filled most of the gap
FVG ✓ — gap has been fully mitigated (price closed through the entire zone)
This gives you precision that no standard FVG indicator provides. A gap that is 70% filled but holding at the midpoint is behaving differently than one that was filled in a single candle. The fill percentage helps you judge whether the imbalance has been respected (potential bounce) or is being aggressively closed (continuation through).
A minimum FVG size filter (in ticks) is available to remove insignificant micro-gaps that clutter the chart on lower timeframes.

💰 Liquidity Sweeps
Liquidity sweeps occur when price wicks beyond a recent high or low but closes back inside the range — indicating a stop hunt or liquidity grab by institutional players. This is one of the most important concepts in ICT methodology.
Buy-side Sweep — price wicks above the recent highest high (grabbing buy-stop liquidity) but closes back below with a bearish candle. This often precedes a reversal lower. Labeled as "$ sweep" above the bar.
Sell-side Sweep — price wicks below the recent lowest low (grabbing sell-stop liquidity) but closes back above with a bullish candle. This often precedes a reversal higher. Labeled as "$ sweep" below the bar.
The lookback period for defining "recent" highs and lows is configurable, allowing you to tune sensitivity from tight scalping sweeps to broader swing-level liquidity grabs.
Liquidity sweeps are most powerful when they occur at key levels — equal highs/lows, Order Block zones, or previous day/week extremes. When a sweep aligns with an OB or FVG, the probability of a reaction increases significantly.

⚖ Equal Highs & Equal Lows (EQH / EQL)
When two consecutive swing highs or swing lows form at approximately the same price, they create a liquidity pool . Retail traders place stops just beyond these levels, and institutional players know exactly where those stops are clustered.
EQH (Equal Highs) — two swing highs at nearly identical prices. A dashed line extends forward marking this level as a target for buy-side liquidity sweeps. Market makers frequently drive price above equal highs to trigger stops before reversing.
EQL (Equal Lows) — two swing lows at nearly identical prices. A dashed line marks this as a sell-side liquidity target. Expect price to sweep below before potentially reversing.
The tolerance for what counts as "equal" is configurable as a percentage (default 0.02%). This prevents false matches while catching genuinely significant double-top and double-bottom liquidity formations.
Equal Highs and Equal Lows are prime targets — when you see price approaching an EQH from below or an EQL from above, be prepared for either a sweep-and-reverse or a clean breakout. The market structure context (BOS vs CHoCH) and the presence of nearby Order Blocks will help you determine which scenario is more likely.

🔥 Displacement Candles
Displacement represents aggressive institutional commitment — a candle whose body is significantly larger than normal, showing that smart money entered with force. AlphaX Structure identifies displacement candles using two criteria:
The candle body must exceed the Average True Range (ATR) multiplied by a configurable factor (default 2.0×)
The body must occupy more than 60% of the total candle range (strong body-to-wick ratio — institutional candles close near their extreme, not in the middle)
Bullish displacement candles are marked with a diamond below the bar. Bearish displacement candles are marked with a diamond above the bar.
Displacement candles are the engine behind structure breaks . When a BOS or CHoCH is accompanied by a displacement candle, the move has genuine institutional backing. When structure breaks occur on weak, indecisive candles, the break is more likely to fail.
Additionally, displacement candles often create Fair Value Gaps . When you see a displacement diamond next to an FVG box, you know the imbalance was created by a powerful move — making that FVG a higher-probability reaction zone.

💪 Candle Strength Dots
An optional feature that marks individual candles based on their relative strength compared to the ATR:

🎯 Premium & Discount Zones
The indicator calculates the current trading range using a configurable lookback period and divides it into:
Premium Zone — the upper 25% of the range, shaded with the bear color. In ICT methodology, the premium zone is where smart money sells. Buying in premium is inherently risky.
Discount Zone — the lower 25% of the range, shaded with the bull color. This is where smart money buys. Selling in discount is inherently risky.
Equilibrium (EQ) — the exact 50% midpoint of the range, marked with a dotted cross line. This is the fair value level. Price above EQ is in premium territory; price below EQ is in discount territory.
The Premium and Discount zones are drawn using boxes and lines that do not affect the chart's price scale — your candles will always display at their natural size regardless of the range lookback setting.
The dashboard displays your exact position within the range as a percentage: "DISCOUNT 18%" means price is in the lower 18% of the range — deep discount. "PREMIUM 85%" means price is in the upper portion — extended and vulnerable to pullback.

🚀 How to Read AlphaX Structure — Step by Step
Step 1 — Identify the Trend
Check the dashboard: what does STRUCTURE say? What does EMA BIAS say?
If both agree (both bullish or both bearish), you have a confirmed directional environment
If they disagree, the market may be in transition — wait for alignment
Step 2 — Locate Key Levels
Identify active Order Blocks — these are your primary reaction zones
Note any unfilled FVGs — price is likely to return to these imbalances
Check for Equal Highs or Equal Lows — these are liquidity targets
Step 3 — Determine Premium or Discount

Designed for intraday to swing timeframes — M1 through H4. Works on daily and weekly charts but intraday timeframes provide the best resolution for OB and FVG detection.
Premium and Discount zones are drawn using boxes and lines on the last bar only — they do not affect the chart's vertical price scale. Your candles will always display at their natural size.
Structure detection uses bar close confirmation — a swing high or low must be confirmed by the configured number of bars on each side before it is recognized as a pivot.
The maximum number of drawings for OBs, FVGs, structure lines, and EQ lines are all independently configurable. Older drawings beyond the limit are automatically removed.
Touch counting on Order Blocks uses a de-duplication method — price must leave the OB zone and re-enter to count as a new touch. Consecutive bars inside the same OB count as one touch.
FVG fill percentage is calculated based on the deepest penetration into the gap — even if price subsequently leaves the zone, the fill percentage reflects the maximum penetration achieved.
All calculations are non-repainting — signals are confirmed on bar close.

How the trend change is detected:
Price crosses above Fusion Slow while the Fusion Slow slope turns upward → Bullish

A cooldown timer prevents repeated labels during choppy transitions — configurable via Trend Label Cooldown
Once a trend label fires, it sets the directional context for all subsequent signals. During a BULL trend, only long entries and long exits are generated. During a BEAR trend, only short entries and short exits are generated. This eliminates counter-trend noise entirely.

After a trend is established by the Fusion label, the AlphaX Pro engine monitors for high-confidence re-entry opportunities within that trend. These appear as small triangles:

Re-entry signals are generated by six independent trigger types, all running simultaneously:
Divergence Trigger — WPR divergence against price (price makes new low but WPR makes higher low, or vice versa)

Exhaustion Recovery — Price shows exhaustion at a level while the broader trend remains intact

Exit signals appear as small gray ✕ marks and fire only after at least one re-entry signal has occurred in the current trend. This prevents premature exit markers from appearing before you have even entered.
During a BULL trend — a sell-side signal from the Pro engine triggers an exit ✕ above the bar
During a BEAR trend — a buy-side signal from the Pro engine triggers an exit ✕ below the bar
Exit markers indicate that counter-trend momentum is building . They do not necessarily mean the trend is over — but they warn that the current move may be losing steam. Use them to:

⚠ Identifying Choppy / Ranging Markets — When NOT to Trade
Choppy market condition — EMAs converging, Fusion Cloud collapsed, no clear trend labels. This is when you step aside.
Knowing when to stay out is just as important as knowing when to enter. AlphaX Vision gives you clear visual cues that the market is in a choppy, range-bound state:
How to identify choppy conditions:
Fusion Cloud disappears or becomes paper-thin — when Fusion Fast and Fusion Slow are nearly overlapping, the cloud collapses. No cloud = no trend = no edge.
EMAs converge and flatten — when the Fast EMA (yellow-green dots), Medium EMA (gray line), and Slow EMA (dark gray line) all cluster together and move sideways, the market has no directional bias.
Frequent color switches — if the Fusion system is rapidly alternating between bullish and bearish with labels appearing in quick succession, the trend cooldown filter is doing its job blocking most of them, but the underlying message is clear: no clean trend.
No re-entry triangles appearing — even after a trend label fires, if the Pro engine cannot find a single re-entry opportunity that meets the confidence threshold, the "trend" is likely a false start.
Cloud color is gray (neutral) — when neither bullish nor bearish conditions are met, the Fusion lines turn gray. This is the indicator explicitly telling you: this is a no-trade zone.
What to do during choppy markets:
Do not force entries — wait for the cloud to expand and a clean trend label to form
Look for the EMAs to fan out and separate — this confirms that a new directional move is developing
Wait for the first re-entry triangle after a trend label before committing capital — the triangle confirms the trend has real momentum behind it
Consider switching to a higher timeframe temporarily to find structure — if the 1-minute is chopping, the 5-minute or 15-minute may show a clear trend that the 1-minute will eventually follow

The prior day's open and close prices plotted as separate lines — useful for identifying whether the current day is trading above or below the previous day's range midpoint and for gauging bullish or bearish displacement.
Previous Day Midpoint (PD Mid)
The exact 50% equilibrium of the previous day's high-to-low range. A key reference level for mean reversion setups and judging whether price is premium or discount relative to the prior day.

Standard SuperTrend has one fixed multiplier. It works great in trending markets but gets chopped apart in ranging conditions. This version solves that by detecting the current market regime and adapting in real time.
The indicator classifies every bar into one of three regimes:
TRENDING: ADX above threshold + normal ATR. Multiplier stays at base. SuperTrend works as intended.
RANGING: ADX below threshold + compressed ATR. Multiplier tightens slightly for faster response. Band draws as a dotted line to warn you.
VOLATILE: ATR expanding well above its historical average. Multiplier widens to absorb the noise and prevent false flips.
The regime is determined by two factors: the ATR ratio (current ATR vs its moving average over the lookback period) and the ADX reading. This gives you a structural view of market conditions, not just price direction.
◈ Adaptive Multiplier
When adaptation is enabled, the multiplier adjusts dynamically:
In volatile regimes, the multiplier increases proportionally to how expanded the ATR is. This widens the band and filters out noise-driven flips.
In ranging regimes, the multiplier drops to 85% of base. Tighter bands let you catch the transition when a real trend starts.
In trending regimes, the multiplier stays at base. No adjustment needed when conditions are ideal.
The multiplier is capped between 0.5x and 2x of your base setting so it never goes extreme. You can see the current adaptive multiplier in the dashboard at all times.
◈ AI Signal Scoring
Every SuperTrend flip gets a quality score from 0 to 100 based on 5 factors:
Volume Surge (0-20 pts): Volume on the flip bar vs 20-period average. Higher volume = more conviction behind the move.
Displacement (0-25 pts): How far price closed beyond the band on the flip. Bigger displacement = stronger breakout.
Trend Alignment (0-20 pts): Does the flip direction match the EMA trend? Aligned signals score higher.
Regime Quality (0-15 pts): Signals in trending regimes score highest. Ranging regime signals get penalized.
Band Distance (0-20 pts): How far price traveled to reach the band before flipping. Wider gap = more conviction.
Bright signals (★) score above 70 and represent high-quality flips with multiple factors confirming. Dim signals (○) score 40-69 and are worth watching but carry more risk. By default only bright signals display.
◈ Visual System
The band uses a neon glow effect (three layered plots) that makes it easy to track on any chart. The band color itself tells you the current regime at a glance:
Green/red glow = trending regime, normal SuperTrend behavior.
Amber glow = volatile regime, multiplier has widened to absorb noise.
Gray dotted line = ranging regime, multiplier tightened, use caution.
A subtle background tint appears during volatile (amber) and ranging (gray) periods so you can see regime context without looking at the dashboard. Both the glow and background tint can be toggled off in settings.
The gradient fill between price and band is available but off by default. Enable it in settings if you prefer that style.

Method overview in plain language
Base measures
Return basis. The engine measures directionality with an efficiency ratio, defined as absolute net change over a window divided by the sum of absolute bar to bar changes over the same window. Values closer to 1 indicate directional movement. Values closer to 0 indicate noise.
Range basis. Optional robust clipping uses a rolling mean and a scaled mean absolute deviation of price around that mean to define a dynamic clamp band for extreme bars.
Components
• Robust Clip. Optional step that clamps extreme deviations of the input series so single spikes do not disproportionately shift the MA state. Use it on wick heavy markets or news driven sessions. Disable it if you want raw sensitivity.
• Adaptive Alpha Core. The smoothing rate adapts between a fast and slow anchor using the efficiency ratio. In directional regimes the MA accelerates. In noisy regimes it slows down.
• Base Length Shaping. A second light smoothing stage ties each line to its fast, medium, or slow horizon so the trio remains coherent instead of behaving like three unrelated formulas.
• Zero Lag Assist. Optional phase compensation that slightly pulls the line toward its recent direction to reduce lag. It is strongest on the fast line and tapered on medium and slow. Disable it if you prefer maximum stability in chop.
• Reliability Score. A composite confidence estimate built from medium efficiency, MA stack coherence, and normalized medium slope strength. It is designed as a gating variable, not as a prediction.
Fusion rule
The three lines are produced by the same adaptive engine with different base lengths. The adaptive alpha uses the efficiency ratio to interpolate between the fast and slow anchors, then squares the result to damp small changes, similar in spirit to classic adaptive averages but implemented as a coherent three speed suite. Reliability is a weighted composite of:
• medium efficiency as the directionality signal
• a stack coherence score that is true when Fast is above Medium and Medium is above Slow, or the symmetric bearish condition
• medium slope strength normalized by recent average absolute slope

This script does not print buy or sell markers. It provides context states.

The Retail Forex Sentiment Indicator provides sentiment data for major and cross currency pairs. This indicator displays retail trader positioning using retail brokers data, showing what percentage of retail traders are long or short on each forex pair.

Methodology and Scale Calculation
---------------------------------
This indicator operates on a **-50 to +50 scale** with zero representing perfect market equilibrium.
Scale Interpretation:
- **Zero (0)**: Market balance - exactly 50% of traders long, 50% short
- **Positive values**: Majority long (buying) pressure
- Example: If 63% of traders are long, the indicator shows +13 (63 - 50 = +13)
- **Negative values**: Majority short (selling) pressure
- Example: If 92% of traders are short, the indicator shows -42 (50 - 92 = -42)

How to Use
----------
1. **Auto Mode** (Default): Enable "Auto-load Sentiment Data" checkbox to automatically display sentiment for the current chart's currency pair
2. **Manual Mode**: Disable auto-load and select from the dropdown menu for specific currency pairs
3. **Interpretation**:
- Values above 0 (green line) indicate retail traders are net long (greed/bullish sentiment)
- Values below 0 (red line) indicate retail traders are net short (fear/bearish sentiment)
- Extreme zones (+35 to +50 and -35 to -50) indicate strong positioning

Contrarian Trading Approach

The primary purpose of this indicator is based on the fundamental market principle that **the majority of retail forex traders are wrong most of the time**, and currency pairs typically move opposite to the positions held by the majority of retail participants.

- **Contrarian Signal**: When the majority of retail traders are positioned on one side, consider opportunities in the opposite direction
- **Trend Exhaustion Signal**: When retail traders finally flip to trade WITH an established trend after being wrong for extended period, this often signals trend exhaustion

- High greed readings (majority long) -> Consider short opportunities
- High fear readings (majority short) -> Consider long opportunities
- Sudden sentiment flip during established trends -> Potential trend reversal signal

Auto-Detection Support

The indicator supports automatic detection of various broker ticker formats including:
- Standard pairs (EURUSD, GBPUSD, etc.)
- CME Futures symbols (6E, 6B, JY, etc.)
- Micro futures (M6E, M6B, MJY, etc.)
This functionality is powered by regex pattern matching. However, for some CME futures pairs—particularly those involving JPY, CAD, and CHF—auto-detection may not work properly. In such cases, disable the auto-load checkbox and manually select the ticker from the dropdown menu.
