Market Structure BOS, CHoCH, HH HL LH LL & Trend Health [LunqFX]Market structure is the skeleton of every trend: a series of higher highs and higher lows, or lower highs and lower lows, until a break says the trend has changed. This indicator maps that skeleton automatically — labelling every swing as HH, HL, LH or LL, drawing each Break of Structure (BOS) and Change of Character (CHoCH) — and adds one thing no other structure tool has: it tells you the trend is failing BEFORE the structure actually breaks.
❶ THE STRUCTURE MAP
▸ SWING LABELS — every confirmed swing point is labelled HH (higher high), HL (higher low), LH (lower high) or LL (lower low). The sequence of those four labels IS the trend, and having it on the chart removes the guesswork from reading price action.
▸ BOS — Break of Structure. Price closes through the last swing level in the direction of the trend: the trend is continuing. Drawn as a dashed line from the broken level with a BOS label.
▸ CHoCH — Change of Character. Price closes through the last swing level against the trend: the trend has flipped. Drawn as a solid, highlighted line — this is the reversal signal smart-money traders wait for.
▸ STRUCTURE CANDLES — the candles themselves are coloured by the structural trend, not by whether each bar closed up or down. Green means the market structure is bullish, violet means bearish, so the regime is obvious at a single glance. Their brightness fades as Trend Health falls.
❷ TREND HEALTH 0–100 — THE EARLY WARNING
Every other structure tool tells you a trend has ended after CHoCH prints. By then the move is already gone. Trend Health measures the two things that decay before every structure break:
▸ EXPANSION — in a healthy trend each new extreme clears the previous one by at least as much as the last leg did. When new highs barely exceed the old ones, the trend is running out of fuel.
▸ RETRACEMENT — in a healthy trend pullbacks stay shallow. When each pullback eats deeper into the previous leg, control is shifting to the other side.
Both are measured on the live leg, normalised by ATR so the score behaves the same on any symbol and timeframe, and blended into a single 0–100 reading. When it drops below your threshold the dashboard flags WEAKENING — while the trend is still technically intact. That is the warning CHoCH cannot give you, because CHoCH is confirmation, not anticipation.
❸ THE STRUCTURE TAPE
Instead of a table of numbers, the dashboard shows a timeline of the last five structure events, oldest to newest: BOS ▲ · BOS ▲ · CHoCH ▼ · BOS ▼. Reading the sequence tells you instantly whether the market is trending cleanly (a run of BOS in one direction) or chopping (CHoCH flipping back and forth) — context you cannot get from a single label on the chart.
❹ HOW TO TRADE IT
1 — Establish the bias from MARKET STRUCTURE in the panel. Bullish structure = look for longs, bearish = look for shorts. Do not fight it.
2 — Use BOS as continuation. A BOS in the direction of your bias confirms the trend is intact; the broken level often becomes support or resistance on the retest.
3 — Use CHoCH as the reversal trigger. A CHoCH against the prevailing trend is the earliest confirmed signal that structure has flipped. Wait for it before trading a reversal.
4 — Use TREND HEALTH for timing and risk. Health above 65 with a run of BOS on the tape = a clean trend, hold your position and trail. Health falling into WEAKENING = tighten stops, take partials, and stop adding — the structure is decaying and a CHoCH becomes more likely.
5 — Read the tape for market state. Several BOS in a row = trending market, trade continuations. Alternating CHoCH = choppy market, stand aside or trade the range instead.
❺ HOW IT WORKS
Swing points come from confirmed pivots, so a swing only exists once the bars on both sides of it have closed. The most recent swing high and swing low become the active structure levels. When a bar CLOSES beyond one of them (a wick-based mode is available), the break is registered: in the direction of the current trend it is a BOS, against it a CHoCH, and the trend state flips. Trend Health compares the size of the current expansion leg with the previous one in ATR units, and the depth of the latest pullback against the leg it retraced, then blends them 60/40 into the 0–100 score. Immediately after a CHoCH there is no second leg to compare yet, so the panel honestly reports NEW TREND instead of a misleading health reading.
Works on every symbol and timeframe — forex, gold, indices, crypto and stocks — because every threshold is either structural or ATR-normalised, with nothing to configure per market.
SETTINGS — swing length (how major a swing must be), break on close or wick, the health threshold that flags weakening, swing labels and BOS/CHoCH lines on/off, number of events kept, structure candles on/off, and dashboard position.
ALERTS — BOS up, BOS down, CHoCH up, CHoCH down, and Structure Weakening (the early warning).
NON-REPAINTING — swings are built from confirmed pivots and every break is validated on bar close. A label or line that has printed never moves or disappears.
Every component here describes the same object — the market's structure — at a different resolution: the swings build it, BOS and CHoCH break it, Trend Health measures its condition, and the tape is its history. That is why they belong in one tool rather than five.

QIFM SMC Market Structure is a rule-based charting indicator designed to identify and display developing market structure using a custom Two-Candle Retracement framework.
The indicator combines:

• Pending and confirmed Change of Character levels

This is a market-structure analysis tool. It does not place trades, calculate position size, or provide guaranteed buy and sell signals.
ORIGINALITY AND PURPOSE
The central feature of this indicator is its custom structure-confirmation sequence.
Instead of defining every local high or low as market structure, the script waits for a specific two-candle retracement condition before establishing a pending BOS level. Confirmed BOS and CHoCH events are then used to control where the indicator searches for FVG and Order Block zones.
The main original component is the sequencing of:
Impulse extreme → 2CR/2CG confirmation → pending BOS → confirmed BOS → protected CHoCH point → confirmed CHoCH → structure-leg FVG and OB filtering.
This structure-based filtering is intended to reduce the number of randomly marked gaps and blocks that are not connected to a confirmed market-structure event.
1. TWO-CANDLE RETRACEMENT: 2CR AND 2CG
The indicator uses two types of retracement confirmation.
2CR — Two-Candle Red Retracement
During a developing bullish structure:
• The script records a bearish candle as the first retracement candle.
• The next bearish candle must close below the low of the first bearish candle.
• When this condition is completed, the pattern is marked as 2CR.
• The highest price reached before the confirmed retracement becomes the pending bullish BOS level.
2CG — Two-Candle Green Retracement
During a developing bearish structure:
• The script records a bullish candle as the first retracement candle.
• The next bullish candle must close above the high of the first bullish candle.
• When this condition is completed, the pattern is marked as 2CG.
• The lowest price reached before the confirmed retracement becomes the pending bearish BOS level.
Inside-range behavior is also evaluated while the pattern is developing. A candle contained within the tracked range does not automatically confirm the retracement.
2. PENDING AND CONFIRMED BREAK OF STRUCTURE
After a valid 2CR or 2CG pattern, the script creates a waiting BOS line.
Bullish BOS:
• A 2CR confirms the retracement.
• The preceding bullish extreme becomes the pending BOS level.
• A bullish BOS is confirmed when a candle closes above that level.
Bearish BOS:
• A 2CG confirms the retracement.
• The preceding bearish extreme becomes the pending BOS level.
• A bearish BOS is confirmed when a candle closes below that level.
The waiting BOS line and the confirmed BOS line have separate style, width, and color controls.
A wick through the BOS level is not sufficient. BOS confirmation is based on the candle close.
3. PENDING CHoCH POINT
After a confirmed bullish BOS, the lowest point of the confirmed retracement becomes the bearish protected structure level.
After a confirmed bearish BOS, the highest point of the confirmed retracement becomes the bullish protected structure level.
This protected level is displayed as:
P.CHoCH — Pending Change of Character
The active pending CHoCH line represents the level that must be broken to confirm a potential change in the current market structure.
Users can separately display:
• The current pending CHoCH level
• Previous pending CHoCH levels
4. CONFIRMED CHANGE OF CHARACTER
A CHoCH requires two consecutive candle closes beyond the active protected level.
Bearish CHoCH:
• The current structure is bullish.
• Two consecutive candles close below the active bearish P.CHoCH level.
• The script marks a confirmed bearish CHoCH.
• The internal trend state changes from bullish to bearish.
Bullish CHoCH:
• The current structure is bearish.
• Two consecutive candles close above the active bullish P.CHoCH level.
• The script marks a confirmed bullish CHoCH.
• The internal trend state changes from bearish to bullish.
The candle colors are not used for CHoCH confirmation. Only the two consecutive closing prices relative to the protected level are evaluated.
5. DUAL CHoCH
The Dual CHoCH feature tracks an additional structural reference following a confirmed change in direction.
It is intended to highlight a secondary two-close break beyond the previous structural extreme. This can help users distinguish an initial change of character from a more developed structural transition.
Dual CHoCH lines, labels, colors, widths, and styles can be customized separately.
6. STRUCTURE-BASED FIBONACCI LEVELS
When a valid 2CR or 2CG creates a pending BOS setup, the indicator calculates Fibonacci levels across the relevant structure range.
The visible default levels are:
• 0.50
• 0.618
• 0.70
• 1.00
The script can display:
• The current structure Fibonacci
• A selected number of previous Fibonacci structures
• Individual Fibonacci level labels
• Custom colors, widths, and line styles
The 0.50-to-1.00 portion of the calculated range is also used internally as a location filter for qualifying FVG and Order Block zones.
In bullish structure, this generally represents the deeper or discount side of the measured range.
In bearish structure, this generally represents the deeper or premium side of the measured range.
Fibonacci levels are reference locations only. They are not automatic trade-entry signals.
7. FAIR VALUE GAP LOGIC
The script does not search for FVGs across every candle on the chart.
It searches for FVGs only inside confirmed BOS and CHoCH displacement legs.
Bullish FVG requirements include:
• A three-candle bullish wick imbalance
• The third candle’s low is above the first candle’s high
• The third candle closes above the second candle’s high
• Additional inside-candle checks reject compressed or fully contained formations
• The FVG and its associated Order Block must be positioned within the active Fibonacci filtering band
Bearish FVG requirements include:
• A three-candle bearish wick imbalance
• The third candle’s high is below the first candle’s low
• The third candle closes below the second candle’s low
• Additional inside-candle checks reject compressed or fully contained formations
• The FVG and its associated Order Block must be positioned within the active Fibonacci filtering band
Only qualifying structure-leg FVGs are displayed.
8. ORDER BLOCK LOGIC
For each accepted FVG pattern, the script defines the full high-to-low range of the first candle in the three-candle FVG formation as the associated Order Block.
The OB is therefore directly connected to:
• A confirmed BOS or CHoCH leg
• An accepted three-candle FVG pattern
• The active Fibonacci location filter
Bullish and bearish Order Blocks have separate visibility and color settings.
The OB zones are analytical reference areas. They should not be treated as guaranteed reversal or entry locations.
9. FVG AND OB MITIGATION
Users can choose between two FVG mitigation methods.
First Touch:
The zone is considered mitigated when price first enters the FVG boundary.
Full Fill:
The zone remains active until price reaches the opposite boundary of the FVG.
When mitigation occurs, users can choose to:
• Keep the zone as faded historical information
• Hide the completed zone
The associated OB is updated together with its corresponding FVG.
Historical zones show where a valid structure-leg imbalance previously existed. They do not indicate that the zone remains tradable.
10. PREVIOUS DAY AND PREVIOUS WEEK LEVELS
The indicator can display:
• PDH — Previous Day High
• PDL — Previous Day Low
• PWH — Previous Week High
• PWL — Previous Week Low
These values are taken from completed daily and weekly periods.
PDH and PDL alert conditions are included. An alert can be triggered when price touches the active Previous Day High or Previous Day Low for the first time relative to the preceding chart bar.
The levels are contextual liquidity references and are not independent buy or sell signals.
11. OPTIONAL CANDLE ANALYSIS
The optional live candle-analysis panel displays:
• Candle status: live or closed
• Bullish, bearish, or doji classification
• Open, high, low, and close
• Candle-body percentage
• Upper and lower wick sizes
• Full-range or body-inside classification
• Direct 2CR or 2CG close test
Users can also enable candle coloring based on the same classifications.
The panel is intended for studying the conditions used by the structure engine. It is not an order-execution panel.
HOW TO USE THE INDICATOR
1. Use a standard candlestick chart.
2. Select the symbol and timeframe appropriate for your analysis.
3. Observe whether the script is tracking a bullish or bearish structural sequence.
4. Wait for a confirmed 2CR or 2CG marker.

🎯 Why equal highs and lows matter
When price makes a high, pulls back, then makes another high at the same level, stops pile up just beyond that level — breakout orders, protective stops, resting liquidity.
The more times price taps the same level, the more orders accumulate there. Those pools are what larger participants hunt. This tool maps them automatically and then tells you whether each pool got raided or genuinely failed.
🔍 How pools form
The indicator finds swing highs and lows, then groups any that sit within a configurable tolerance of each other into a single pool.
A pool needs at least a minimum number of touches (default 2) to display. The pool line is drawn at the extreme of the cluster — the highest of the equal highs, or lowest of the equal lows — because that is where the stops actually rest. A small × marks each individual swing that built the pool, and the line thickness and badge show the touch count.
Each pool resolves in one of these ways:

If 3-touch pools on your instrument sweep far more often than they break, that's a measured edge you can trade around. If 2-touch pools are a coin flip, you know to demand more confluence. Only fully resolved pools are counted, active pools are excluded, so the rates can never be inflated by in-progress levels. The denominator is honest: what you see is what actually happened.

-Designed for intraday and swing timeframes. Very low timeframes produce many small pools; adjust tolerance and swing lookback to suit.
-Detection uses standard swing pivots. A peak whose neighboring bar wicks slightly higher may not register as a separate pivot, so not every visual high becomes a pool — tune the swing lookback and tolerance to match how you read structure.
-The equal tolerance is the single most important setting. Too tight and genuine equal levels are missed; too loose and unrelated highs merge. Start moderate and adjust to your instrument.
-The sweep-rate table describes the pools on your loaded chart history. It is a measurement of what happened, not a prediction of what the next pool will do.

Signal Logic: The SIGNAL column counts four conditions per timeframe — RSI above/below 50, price in/above the Golden Zone, price above/below the S/R midpoint, and EMA bias direction. When 3 or more conditions align bullish, the signal reads LONG. When 3 or more align bearish, it reads SHORT. Otherwise, NEUTRAL.
A confluence bar at the bottom aggregates all timeframes. When the majority of conditions across all four timeframes agree, it displays STRONG BULLISH or STRONG BEARISH CONFLUENCE.

Mini SMC Screener watches up to 5 symbols at once and answers a question no single-chart indicator can: WHERE is something happening right now. Instead of flipping through charts, you read one small table: market structure direction and the freshest Fair Value Gap event for every symbol on your list.
HOW IT WORKS
The script scans each symbol on the timeframe you choose (empty = chart timeframe) and reports two independent readings per symbol.
🔵Structure — a strict MSS/BOS engine. Swing points are confirmed pivots (a candle with N higher/lower candles on both sides). A close above the last confirmed swing high in a downtrend is a Market Structure Shift to bullish; a close below the protected swing low in an uptrend shifts structure bearish. Between shifts, breaks of structure in trend direction keep updating the protected level. The column shows the current state: ▲ Bull or ▼ Bear.
🔵FVG — a three-candle imbalance tracker. A Fair Value Gap forms when the first and third candle of a three-candle sequence do not overlap (the low of the newest candle stays above the high of the candle two bars back, or the mirror for bearish). The gap between them is unfilled territory. The engine registers a gap only when its height clears an ATR-based minimum size, keeps it active until price trades through its far edge (a full fill), and reports the freshest of two events:
- New — a qualifying gap just formed (displacement is happening now)
- Retest — price traded back INTO a still-open gap (the return many traders wait for)
Each event ages out of the table after a configurable number of bars, so the column only ever shows fresh information — an FVG event from 200 bars ago is not a setup and is not displayed.
Why the two are combined in one script: they answer the two halves of the same scanning question. Structure tells you the directional context of a symbol; the FVG event tells you that something tradeable is happening there right now. One without the other is either context with no trigger, or a trigger with no context — a scanner needs both on one row to be useful.
KEY FEATURES
- 5 symbol slots, each with its own on/off toggle — defaults cover crypto, forex, gold and an index; replace them with your own watchlist
- Structure column: live Bullish / Bearish read from confirmed swing pivots (non-repainting state machine — the state changes only on a confirmed close through a level)
- FVG column: New / Retest events with age in bars ("now", "3b", …); the cell background lights up when the event happened on the current bar
- ATR size filter — noise-sized gaps never make it into the table
- Freshness windows for FVG events, so stale signals disappear on their own
- Alerts: per-symbol alert() messages (structure flips, new FVG, FVG retest) plus two named conditions — "Structure flip (any symbol)" and "FVG event (any symbol)"
- Scan timeframe input — scan a higher timeframe than your chart; a warning shows if you accidentally scan below the chart timeframe (unreliable by design on PulseWire)

HOW TO USE
1. Add the indicator to any chart and open Settings → Symbols. Replace the default tickers with the instruments you actually follow.
2. Pick a Scan Timeframe — the chart timeframe or higher. A common setup: chart on M15, scan on M15 or H1.
3. Read rows left to right: Structure gives you the direction bias, FVG tells you whether a fresh imbalance or a retest is in play on that symbol.
4. The combination many traders look for: structure and a fresh FVG event pointing the SAME way — e.g. ▲ Bull structure plus a bullish FVG retest.
5. Set an alert with "Any alert() function call" to get the detailed per-symbol messages without watching the table.

A note on how the scan works under the hood: each symbol is evaluated in its own sandboxed context via request.security — the full engine state (structure machine, active gap list) is kept separately per symbol, and signals commit on bar close. Disabled slots still consume their data request (a PulseWire compile-time requirement); the toggle hides the row.
This tool reports structure state and imbalance events. It does not generate buy/sell signals, targets or stop levels — what you do with a reading is your decision. It is not financial advice; always do your own analysis and manage your own risk.
