HOW THE CONSENSUS WORKS

The engine builds a ribbon of 15 moving averages, spaced from a fast base length
upward (e.g. 10, 18, 26 … 122). Every bar it measures two things across all 15:
• How many is price trading ABOVE?
• How many are SLOPING UP?
These combine into a single CONSENSUS SCORE from 0 to 100:
100% = price above all 15 MAs AND all 15 rising (a fully stacked uptrend)
0% = price below all 15 AND all 15 falling (a fully stacked downtrend)
50% = mixed — the ribbon disagrees
A long signal fires only when consensus rises through your bullish threshold
(default 75%), a short when it falls through the bearish threshold (default 25%).
Half-hearted moves where the ribbon disagrees never trigger.

The moment a signal fires, the engine projects five levels forward and labels each
with its price:
• ENTRY — at the signal close
• STOP LOSS — your risk distance away (ATR or %); this distance defines 1R
• TP1 / TP2 / TP3 — at your chosen R-multiples of that risk (default 1R / 2R / 3R)
Only the most recent signal's plan is shown, so the chart stays clean. The dashboard
mirrors the exact prices, and every alert carries the full plan (Entry/SL/TP1/TP2/TP3)
so it's ready for journaling or automation.

When a market chops, moving averages of every length collapse onto each other — the
ribbon goes flat and thin. The engine measures RIBBON WIDTH (the spread of the 15 MAs,
normalized by ATR) and skips signals whenever the ribbon is compressed below your
threshold. A second Kaufman Efficiency-Ratio gate confirms price is actually trending.
Filtered crosses are drawn faintly (✕) and counted, so you SEE what was avoided.

Market Adaptive Trend [Interakktive]Market Adaptive Trend (MAT) is a diagnostic trend tool that re-tunes its own responsiveness to the live volatility regime — and shows you, in plain English, why it tightened or loosened.
Most "adaptive" trend tools hide their adaptation behind math you cannot audit. MAT does the opposite: it adapts AND it narrates. Every adjustment it makes is shown on the chart, in words, so you can see the reasoning rather than trust a black box.
This is a market-state diagnostic tool, not a signal generator.
█ THE CORE IDEA
A fixed-length moving average has one flaw: it responds the same way in calm markets and violent ones. In a clean trend it lags; in a chop it whipsaws. MAT addresses this by letting the live volatility regime govern how responsive the trend line is — the link most adaptive tools never expose.
MAT continuously measures relative volatility: current ATR divided by its own longer-run average. A reading near 1.00 means volatility is at this market's own baseline; above means more volatile than usual; below means calmer. That single ratio classifies the market into one of three regimes, and each regime changes how the line behaves.
█ THE THREE REGIMES
RIDING (calm) — Volatility below baseline. The line loosens and leans toward its slower estimate, so it rides a clean trend without being shaken out by minor noise.
TIGHTENING (balanced) — Volatility near baseline. The line sits in a balanced blend — neither chasing nor lagging — typical of coiling, pre-expansion conditions.
GUARDED (volatile / stretched) — Volatility above baseline. The line damps its response and becomes slow to flip, and candles tint amber as a caution that conditions are stretched and a flip here is lower-confidence.
█ HOW THE LINE IS BUILT
MAT blends a fast and a slow estimate of price. The blend weight is not fixed — it shifts with the regime above, scaled by an Adaptation Strength input (0 = a fixed blend, 1 = full regime governance). The blended target then drives the visible line through an error-feedback step, so the line moves toward its target proportionally rather than snapping. The calculation uses only confirmed historical data, contains no lookahead, and does not repaint.

The unique analytical contribution is the ribbon normalization. Most HMA ribbon indicators simply plot multiple lines and fill between them. Kinetic Ribbon Trail computes the signed spread between the fastest and slowest ribbon line, normalizes it by the 200-bar exponential average of that spread, clamps it to a -1 to +1 range, and uses the result to drive a continuous color gradient between the bear and bull theme colors. 2. Fibonacci Adaptive Trailing Stop
The trailing stop anchors to swing structure rather than to fixed ATR multiples. Confirmed swing highs and lows define a Fibonacci range. Three trail levels are computed from this range at the 0.382, 0.5, and 0.618 Fibonacci retracement. One is selected based on the trail mode: Aggressive, Balanced, or Conservative. A volatility adjustment scales the selected level by the inverse of the current volatility ratio.
The trail ratchets: for longs, it can only move up. For shorts, it can only move down. A flip occurs when price closes through the trail level with body ratio and penetration confirmation.
3. Four-State Regime Detection
A four-state regime classification determines which visual treatments are active: Trend Bull, Trend Bear, Range High-Vol, Range Low-Vol. The classification uses ADX relative to a threshold and the ATR-to-SMA(ATR) ratio. How to Use This Indicator
Step 1: Read the Ribbon Color
A deeply saturated bull color means the ribbon spread is unusually wide — momentum is strong. A muted or transitional color means the spread is near its historical average — momentum is uncertain.
Step 2: Watch for Trail Flips
A signal fires when the Fibonacci trail flips direction and confidence meets the minimum grade. The trade block appears immediately with entry, stop, and three TP levels.
Step 3: Use Regime Context
The four-state regime in the dashboard tells you whether you are in a trending or ranging environment. High-confidence signals in trending regimes carry more structural weight than the same grade in a ranging regime.
Indicator Limitations
Swing detection uses ta.pivothigh() and ta.pivotlow() with a lookback offset. The Fibonacci levels are computed from swings confirmed bars after they occurred
In markets with very shallow swing structures, the Fibonacci range can be small relative to ATR, causing the trail to cluster near the current price and produce excessive flips
The 20-line ribbon increases visual complexity. Reducing the base length and step can make the ribbon more compact on busy charts
The confidence score uses volume as one factor. On timeframes or instruments where volume is not meaningful, this factor should carry less weight
Regime detection uses ADX, which lags price. A trend that begins explosively may be classified as ranging for several bars before ADX responds

The trail produces the raw signal. The regime engine tells you whether the market is even capable of trending right now. The quality score weighs five independent confluence factors against that regime. The grade compresses the score into a single letter you can act on. The risk layer then drops your SL, three TPs, and break-even logic onto the chart automatically — so the moment the signal fires, you already see the trade plan.
Without the regime engine, you'd take signals in chop. Without the quality score, you'd treat every flip equally. Without the risk levels, you'd still be calculating SL and TPs manually after the signal. Each component covers a blind spot of the others.
🔍 WHAT MAKES IT ORIGINAL
1️⃣ Ratcheted ATR Trail with Adaptive Volatility Multiplier.
The trail center is an EMA (default 21) of close, with bands at ±ATR × multiplier (default base 1.618 — the golden ratio). When the Ratchet option is on (recommended), the lower band only moves up in a long position and the upper band only moves down in a short — never loosens, only tightens. On a direction flip, the band resets to its raw value.
When the Adaptive Volatility Multiplier is on, the base multiplier auto-scales based on the 100-bar ATR percentile rank:
— Low vol (rank < 30) → multiplier × 0.8 (narrower band, catch the move earlier)
— Mid vol (30–70) → multiplier × 1.0 (default)
— High vol (rank > 70) → multiplier × 1.25 (wider band, avoid noise wicks)
Why this matters: a fixed multiplier overreacts in calm markets and gets whipsawed in volatile ones. Percentile-rank scaling keeps the trail behavior consistent across market conditions.
2️⃣ Composite Market Regime Score (0–100) — three-factor blend.
Each bar, three independent measurements vote on whether the market is trending or choppy:
— ADX (weight 40%) : standard Directional Movement ADX, length 14. Score = min(ADX / 50 × 100, 100). High ADX = strong directional pressure.
— Choppiness Index (weight 35%) : ChopIdx = 100 × log10(sum(TR, N) / (highest(high, N) − lowest(low, N))) / log10(N), then inverted to a trend score: chopScore = 100 − ChopIdx. Length 14. Low choppiness = clean directional movement.
— R² Linearity (weight 25%) : R² = correlation(close, bar_index, 50)². Measures how linearly price is moving. R² near 1 = clean trend, R² near 0 = pure noise.
Final regime score = ADX × 0.40 + chopScore × 0.35 + R² × 100 × 0.25.
Thresholds:
— Score ≥ 60 → Trending (green)
— Score < 35 → Choppy (red) — signals flagged with ⚠ or hard-skipped
— Between → Mixed (yellow)
Why three indicators instead of one: ADX measures strength but lags. Choppiness measures range expansion but can spike on news. R² measures linearity but is noisy on short windows. Combined and weighted, they cover each other's failure modes.
3️⃣ 5-Factor Quality Score (0–100) with letter grading.
When a trail-flip signal fires, it's scored on five confluence factors:
— HTF Bias (max 30 points) : higher-timeframe (4× current TF by default) EMA-50 bias. Match = 30, against = 0, HTF data missing or filter off = 15 (neutral credit).
— Volume Confirmation (max 20 points) : volume > 20-bar SMA × 1.3 (configurable). Auto-bypassed and given full credit on volume-less instruments (FX).
— RSI Momentum (max 20 points) : bullish signal needs RSI > 50, bearish needs RSI < 50.
— Regime Score (max 20 points) : regimeScore × 0.20.
— Break Strength (max 10 points) : how far past the band close pierced, capped at 3 × ATR. breakStrength = min(|breakDist| / ATR, 3) / 3 × 100, then × 0.10.
Grades:
— Score ≥ 75 → A (high-quality, all factors aligned)
— Score ≥ 55 → B (acceptable, most factors aligned)
— Score < 55 → C (weak — most factors against, consider skipping)
A "Min Quality Score" input lets you hide everything below a threshold (e.g., set to 55 to show only A and B grades).
4️⃣ Risk Presets with Per-Trade Snapshot Locking.
Four risk presets (plus Custom) auto-set SL × ATR and TP1/TP2/TP3 as R-multiples:
— Conservative : SL 2.5 × ATR, TP 1R / 2R / 4R

Critical detail: SL and TP multipliers are snapshotted at entry . If you change the preset mid-trade, the open position keeps its original levels — and the Avg R statistic stays accurate (each closed trade contributes its own-time R values).
5️⃣ Break-Even Logic with Diagnostic BE-Save Counter.
When Break-Even After TP1 is on (recommended), reaching TP1 automatically moves the stop-loss to entry price. From the next bar onward, any wick at entry stops out at break-even instead of original SL — letting winners run risk-free to TP2/TP3.
A dedicated BE Saves counter on the dashboard tracks wins that closed because BE-stop fired (TP1 reached but TP3 didn't). A high BE-save ratio is a diagnostic signal that your TP3 may be too far — consider tightening.
6️⃣ Same-Bar Hit Guard + Realistic Closure Logic.
Two guards prevent unrealistic results:
— Entry-bar hold : SL/TP hits are ignored on the entry bar itself. A hairpin wick can't instantly stop out a fresh position.
— Same-bar SL+TP1 : if both SL and TP1 are hit on the same bar, the trade closes as a LOSS (conservative — mirrors realistic broker behavior on a single wick).
Closures are routed through a single classifier function so flip-closures, SL-closures, and TP3-closures are all tallied identically.
7️⃣ Flip Detection + Dedicated Flip Alert.
A "flip" is when an opposite signal fires while a position is still active. The old trade is classified and counted (its TP-reached state determines W/L and R-multiple), THEN the new position opens. A dedicated POSITION FLIP alert fires in addition to the new buy/sell alert, with from-direction, to-direction, prior entry, and new entry — useful for closing managed positions externally.

— 🚫 No repainting. All signals require barstate.isconfirmed. Alerts fire once per bar close. The HTF security() call uses the canonical non-repaint pattern (close + ema with lookahead_on), reading the closed HTF bar without future leakage.
— 📐 The trail flip is the raw signal source; quality score and filters only suppress, never invent signals. Same-bar SL+TP1 always resolves as a LOSS (conservative bias toward stop).
— 📐 Statistics counters are session-scoped — they reset on script reload, input change, or by incrementing the "Reset Stats Counter" input. The Stats section is descriptive, not predictive: past behavior on a chart does not guarantee future behavior on the same chart.
— ⚖️ Win = TP1 reached (regardless of how the trade ultimately closed). Avg R assumes 1/3 position partitioned at each TP. These are conventions; your live execution may differ.

While traditional TPO profiles use letters (A, B, C...) to denote time periods and static colors for volume/time areas, this script introduces two highly original mechanics to add value to the community:
Sequential Numbering: Instead of letters, each TPO block is numbered sequentially (1, 2, 3...) based on its formation order. This drastically simplifies reading the flow of time within a session.
MA Deviation Gradient Coloring: The most unique feature is its coloring logic. TPO blocks are not colored randomly. Instead, their color is determined by their deviation from a baseline Moving Average (acting as the market's center of gravity).
■Calculations & Output
To ensure complete transparency in how the visual data is generated, here is the specific calculation used for the block colors:
Formula: Deviation % = ((Price / MA) - 1.0) * 100.0
Why this calculation? This calculates the exact percentage distance between the TPO block's price level and the baseline Moving Average at the time that specific block was formed. It visualizes how "overextended" the market was when time was spent at that price.
Actual Output: The output is a percentage float value (e.g., if the MA is $100 and the block price is $102, the output is 2.0 or 2%). This value is then clamped by the user-defined Max Deviation % input (default 2.0%).
Color Mapping: The clamped percentage is fed into a gradient. Negative deviations (undervalued relative to MA) shift towards Cyan, while positive deviations (overvalued) shift towards Magenta.

Identify Value Areas: Look for the "POC" (Point of Control) line, which indicates the price level where the most time (highest number of blocks) was spent.
Assess Reversion Risk: Blocks that are bright Magenta or bright Cyan indicate that time was spent far away from the Moving Average. Traders can use this to visually gauge if a breakout is sustainable or if a mean-reversion is likely.

20 / 200 SMA Strategy - This Pine Script strategy is a 20 SMA / 200 SMA trend-following strategy designed for back testing and potential bot automation.
The main idea is to identify market direction using the relationship between the 20 simple moving average and the 200 simple moving average. When the 20 SMA is above the 200 SMA, the strategy looks for buy opportunities. When the 20 SMA is below the 200 SMA, it looks for sell opportunities.
The script includes three entry modes:
Original Cross Entry waits for the 20 SMA to cross the 200 SMA, then looks for price to close on the correct side of the 20 SMA.
Trend Pullback Entry allows entries after the market is already trending. For buys, the 20 SMA must be above the 200 SMA and price must cross back above the 20 SMA. For sells, the 20 SMA must be below the 200 SMA and price must cross back below the 20 SMA.
Relaxed Testing Entry is a more flexible testing mode that enters when price is on the correct side of the 20 SMA while the 20 SMA is on the correct side of the 200 SMA. This mode is useful for confirming that the strategy is working and producing trades.
The default risk management uses a 100-point take profit. The default stop loss is placed behind the last opposing candle beyond the 200 SMA. For a buy setup, the stop is placed below the last bearish candle below the 200 SMA. For a sell setup, the stop is placed above the last bullish candle above the 200 SMA. The user can also choose a fixed-point stop loss or recent swing stop.
The strategy includes optional filters such as a 200 SMA slope filter, candle-color confirmation, and a distance filter to avoid entries that are too far from the 20 SMA. It also plots the 20 SMA, 200 SMA, buy/sell labels, debug markers, and stop-loss/take-profit lines on the chart.
