Macrodoser Moving Average CloudsMacrodoser MA Clouds is a configurable trend-visualization indicator that plots five independent moving-average clouds—ten moving averages in total—directly on the price chart.
While moving-average clouds are a familiar concept, this implementation is designed to provide a more complete and flexible workspace in a single indicator. Its distinguishing feature is the combination of five separately configurable clouds, multiple moving-average types, optional direction-colored MA lines, customizable visuals, and deliberate cloud layering.
HOW IT WORKS
Each cloud consists of a short moving average and a long moving average calculated from the same selected price source.
• When the short MA is greater than or equal to the long MA, the cloud uses its configured bullish color.
• When the short MA is below the long MA, the cloud uses its configured bearish color.
The optional MA lines have their own directional coloring. Each line uses its bullish color while rising and its bearish color while falling. This means the line colors represent the slope of each individual average, while the cloud color represents the relationship between the short and long averages.
MOVING-AVERAGE OPTIONS
Each cloud can independently use one of five calculation methods:
• EMA — Exponential Moving Average
• SMA — Simple Moving Average
• HMA — Hull Moving Average
• WMA — Weighted Moving Average
• RMA — Running Moving Average
This makes it possible to build an all-EMA ribbon, use a different MA type for each cloud, or create a custom combination for a particular market or trading style.
DEFAULT CLOUDS
The default configuration uses the closing price as the source and EMA calculations with the following short/long lengths:
• Cloud 1: 5 / 13
• Cloud 2: 9 / 13
• Cloud 3: 21 / 50
• Cloud 4: 100 / 200
• Cloud 5: 400 / 800
These defaults provide several views of market structure, ranging from short-term momentum to much longer-term trend context. They are starting points only and can be changed to suit the instrument and timeframe being analyzed.
CUSTOMIZATION
Every cloud includes independent controls for:
• Visibility
• Short and long MA lengths
• Price source
• Moving-average type
• Plot offset
• MA-line visibility
• Rising and falling colors for each MA line
• Bullish and bearish cloud colors
• Color transparency
The MA lines can be hidden for a cleaner cloud-only chart or displayed when the exact averages and their individual directions are useful.
PURPOSEFUL CLOUD LAYERING
The clouds use a deliberate drawing order. Cloud 5 is drawn first at the bottom of the visual stack, followed by Clouds 4 through 1. Cloud 1 is therefore the top layer.
When using the clouds from faster to slower, place the shortest-term pair in Cloud 1 and continue toward the longest-term pair in Cloud 5. This keeps faster clouds visible above slower clouds and produces more intuitive blending when transparent colors overlap.
A different ordering can be used intentionally, but reversing this structure may allow a longer-term cloud to cover shorter-term information.
WAYS TO USE IT
The indicator can help visualize:
• Short-, medium-, and long-term trend structure
• Bullish or bearish alignment across several MA pairs
• Changes in momentum as individual averages turn
• Moving-average crossovers and cloud transitions
• Compression, expansion, and overlap between trend horizons
• Areas where different trend horizons agree or conflict
For example, several bullish clouds stacked above their respective longer averages can indicate broad trend alignment. Mixed cloud states can highlight a transition or disagreement between short- and long-term structure.
IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
Moving averages are lagging calculations derived from historical price data. They do not predict future price movement, and cloud transitions can produce false or rapidly changing indications in sideways or volatile markets.
The current, unfinished chart bar can change as new price data arrives. Plot offsets move the display forward by the selected number of bars for visual purposes; they do not provide future information or change the underlying calculations.

█ OVERVIEW
Most ribbon-of-moving-averages tools either average the ribbon or rely on simple crossovers. This one asks a different question: is the ribbon consistently ORDERED? A cleanly stacked ribbon signals real trend conviction; a tangled, crossing one signals chop — often before any single moving average has crossed another.
█ WHAT IT DOES
Plots a live moving-average ribbon directly on the price chart (choice of 7 MA types, up to 10 MAs), plus a rank-concordance score (-100 to +100) in its own pane. Classifies the ribbon into four bands — Strong Bullish, Weak Bullish, Weak Bearish, Strong Bearish — colours the chart background accordingly, and shows a table with the current band, how long price has been in it, and historical base rates (average forward return and win rate) for each band.
█ THE THEORY BEHIND IT
Ribbon tools usually throw away information about HOW consistently the ribbon is stacked, collapsing it to an average or a single crossover event. This tool instead measures rank concordance — a public, long-established statistical concept (related to Kendall's tau) that quantifies how well two orderings agree with each other. Applied to a moving-average ribbon: compare every pair of MAs, shorter-period against longer-period, and score whether their relative ordering is consistent with a clean trend. A ribbon where every shorter MA sits above every longer one (or below, for a downtrend) scores near the extreme; a tangled, crossing ribbon averages out near zero. This is a different statistical question than "is price above its moving average" or "how efficient was the recent price path" (see the Regime Classifier for that approach) — it is specifically about internal agreement across the whole ribbon at once.
█ HOW IT IS CALCULATED
1. Build a ribbon of N moving averages (configurable type and count), with periods increasing linearly from a base period by a fixed spacing.
2. For every pair of MAs (i, j) where i has a shorter period than j: score +1 if MA > MA (bullish-consistent ordering), -1 if reversed, 0 if tied.
3. Sum all pair scores and normalise by the number of pairs compared, scaled to -100..+100.
4. Optionally EMA-smooth the raw score, which is otherwise a somewhat steppy pairwise count, for a cleaner read.
Classification occurs ONLY on confirmed bar close — the band never flips mid-bar and reverses. The MA ribbon itself plots live, exactly like any moving average on any chart; that is normal behaviour, not repainting. Only the concordance score and its band classification are held to confirmed bars.
█ SETTINGS & CONFIGURATION
• Source, MA Type (SMA / EMA / WMA / RMA / HMA / DEMA / TEMA)
• Base Period and Period Spacing — set the shortest MA and the gap between each successive one
• Ribbon Size (3-10 MAs) — more MAs smooth the read but add lag from the longest one; fewer react faster but are noisier
• Score Smoothing Length — EMA smoothing on the raw concordance score (set to 1 for none)
• Strong Threshold — the score above which (or below its negative) a band counts as "Strong" rather than "Weak"
• Forward Return Window — the horizon used for the base-rate table
• Show MA Ribbon on Chart — toggle the ribbon overlay off if you only want the concordance pane
• Ribbon gradient colours (short end / long end) and band colours are fully configurable
█ HOW TO USE IT
Use it as a trend-conviction filter alongside your existing process. Strong Bullish/Bearish bands indicate a cleanly stacked ribbon — a higher-conviction environment for trend-following approaches. Weak bands, or frequent flips between Weak Bullish and Weak Bearish, indicate the ribbon is loosely ordered — more caution warranted for trend-following, and potentially a more favourable environment for mean-reversion approaches instead. Check the base-rate table's sample count before assuming any one band is systematically favourable.
Works on any asset and timeframe; ribbon size and spacing should be tuned to the timeframe you trade (a wide, long-spaced ribbon on a low timeframe will lag heavily).
█ LIMITATIONS
• This is a ribbon of moving averages — inherently lagging by construction. It confirms alignment after price has already moved, and this cannot be removed without curve-fitting.
• Near-zero or Weak readings are common in choppy, range-bound conditions and do NOT predict a breakout direction — they only describe the ribbon's current state of (dis)agreement.
• Ribbon size is a real trade-off: more MAs smooth the read but add lag from the longest included MA; fewer MAs react faster but are noisier.
• The concordance score and band update on confirmed bar close only. The ribbon MA lines themselves plot live, like any moving average — that is normal behaviour, not repainting.
• Historical base-rate stats need a meaningful sample count (check N) before being trusted, especially for less common bands.
• Four bands are a deliberate simplification of a continuous reality. Markets do not actually occupy discrete states.

Average Top / Bottom ChannelsThis script is designed to simplify price action by creating an average top and average bottom channel around the market. Instead of focusing on every candle, wick, and short-term price fluctuation, the indicator calculates recent swing highs and swing lows, averages them, and displays a clean visual range where price is moving over time.
The upper line represents the average of recent price tops, while the lower line represents the average of recent price bottoms. The area between them acts like a simplified trend channel, helping identify whether price is moving higher, lower, sideways, or stretching outside its normal range.
My preferred way to use this script is to hide the regular price chart after adding the indicator. This removes visual noise from the candles and makes it easier to focus on the overall direction, structure, and trend behavior. After that, I adjust the settings to fit the market and timeframe I am viewing.
Lower sensitivity settings make the channel react faster to recent price movement, while higher sensitivity settings create a smoother channel for broader trend analysis. The goal is not to predict every candle, but to simplify the chart so the larger trend and average price range become easier to see. Indicator

Instead of guessing which EMA length works best for a given stock or timeframe, this indicator runs the math for you and shows the answer in a single glance, ranked against simply holding the asset.
What It Does
For each of 5 user-defined EMA lengths, the indicator simulates a simple long-only strategy:
Buy when price closes above the EMA (when flat)
Sell when price closes below the EMA (when long)
Equity starts at 100 and compounds across trades using the close-to-close return of each trade
A 6th strategy row tests the classic Golden/Death Cross:
Buy when the fast EMA crosses above the slow EMA (Golden Cross)
Sell when the fast EMA crosses below the slow EMA (Death Cross)
Special first-bar handling: if the fast EMA is already above the slow EMA at the start of your backtest window (i.e., we're mid-trend with no fresh Golden Cross to wait for), the strategy enters immediately at that bar's opening price. This avoids the unrealistic outcome of sitting in cash for years waiting for a cross that already happened.
All strategies are compared against a Buy & Hold baseline that starts at the close of the first in-range bar. If a position is open at the last bar, its equity is marked-to-market so every strategy is compared on equal terms — fully invested vs. partially invested at the cutoff.

How To Use
Add the indicator to any chart — works on stocks, ETFs, crypto, forex, any timeframe.
Choose your backtest window (e.g., 1 Year, 5 Years, or Lifetime).
Scan the table to see which strategy historically beat Buy & Hold on this asset.
Use the on-chart GC / DC labels to spot historical and live cross events. Right-click any marker → Add Alert to be notified on new crosses.
Tip: Test the same EMA lengths across daily and weekly timeframes and across different assets. You'll usually find that what works on a steady index like SPY does not work on a volatile single stock, and vice versa. That's the entire point of the table — to make those differences visible instead of assumed.

Notes & Limitations
All strategies are long-only — no shorts, no leverage, no stops, no commissions, no slippage. This is a clean rule-based comparison, not a turnkey trading system. Live results will differ.
Entries and exits use close prices, except for the GC/DC strategy's first-bar entry when already in a golden state, which uses open.
Open positions at the last bar are marked-to-market so the comparison vs. Buy & Hold is apples-to-apples.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Use this as a research and screening tool.
The GC/DC strategy uses separate EMA lengths from the 5 table EMAs by design, so you can run 9/21/50/100/200 in the table while still testing the classic 50/200 cross.

🎯 Purpose & Design Philosophy
VWAP is one of the most watched value references across intraday and swing trading contexts.
The problem is that price can cross VWAP many times without meaningful control transfer. This script was built to separate casual VWAP interaction from stronger acceptance, rejection, and reversion behavior.
The design philosophy is to make VWAP context visually readable: where control sits, which side is accepted, whether reversion risk is rising, and whether the shift has quality.
⚡ Why This Script Is Different
Most VWAP tools plot a line, add bands, and leave interpretation entirely to the user.
This script does NOT simply mark every VWAP touch as important and does NOT treat every cross as a trend signal.
Instead, it frames VWAP as a control zone: acceptance above, acceptance below, rejection back into value, and mean-reversion risk are all organized into one visual map.

The script calculates a rolling volume-weighted control line using price and volume over the selected control window.

Adaptive Momentum Velocity Ribbon🔶 OVERVIEW
Risk management is the backbone of successful trading, but static trailing stops often fail to account for the "momentum" of a move. The Kinetic Trailing Stop & Targets is an adaptive volatility-based system designed to breathe with the market.
Unlike standard ATR trailing stops that move at a fixed distance, this indicator uses a "kinetic" engine. It calculates the relationship between price momentum and current volatility to determine how aggressively the stop should follow price. When momentum is high, the stop "tightens" to protect profits; during quiet periods, it expands to avoid being "stopped out" by minor noise.
🔶 THE KINETIC ENGINE: HOW IT WORKS
The indicator relies on a multi-layered calculation to determine the stop-loss placement:
Dynamic Volatility Ratio: The tool tracks the current ATR relative to its 50-bar high. This creates a "Volatility Ratio" that dictates the width of the buffer.
Momentum-Responsive Stepping: The stop doesn't just trail; it "steps." If the price makes a significant move (measured by a Momentum Score), the stop reacts kinetically, jumping closer to price to lock in gains.
The Guard Distance: To prevent the stop from becoming too tight and causing "premature exits," a minimum Guard Distance is maintained, ensuring price always has a statistically significant "air gap" to fluctuate within.
🔶 AUTOMATED TARGET MILESTONES
A standout feature of this tool is the Target Level System . The moment a trend flips (indicated by the diamond shapes), the indicator marks that price as the "Trend Origin."
Fixed Percentage Scaling: The indicator projects horizontal milestones (e.g., +2%, +4%, +6%) from the origin point.
Historical Milestone Logging: When price hits a target, a dashed line and label are permanently fixed to the chart, allowing you to see exactly where profit-taking opportunities occurred.
Active Target Tracking: The dashboard displays the next upcoming target and exactly what percentage "distance" remains until it is hit.

Sensitivity: Controls the "Kinetic" response. Higher sensitivity makes the stop jump more aggressively during momentum spikes.
Band Multiplier & Guard Distance: These two settings define the "outer" and "inner" limits of your stop-loss width.
Level Spacing (%): Set the distance between your target milestones (e.g., set to 1.0 for every 1% move).

Trend Following: Use the Kinetic Stop to ride long-term trends without getting shaken out by volatility spikes.
Scaling Out: Use the automated Target Levels as objective signals to scale out of a position (e.g., close 25% of the trade at each milestone).
Volatility Filter: By observing the distance between the price and the stop, you can visualize "volatility expansion"—if the gap is widening, the market is becoming more chaotic.

Fuzzy ADXVMA vs ADXVMA
The fuzzy dead zone forces a consolidation state (yellow
flat) where a pivot or trend change would present otherwise. When the MA finally turns green or
red, it exceeds the noise floor and considered a more reliable directional
commitment, not a minor fluctuation.
- Flat duration before the cross determines signal quality; XO after
15+ bars flat = base resolved (high conviction), XO after 3 bars
flat = noise (low conviction).
- 7-tier regime gradient (D Trend at score 5 down to Potential Chop
at 0) shows the trend proving itself bar by bar across multiple
lookbacks.
- Two alert systems with multi-layer filtering (not vanilla crossovers).
Regime-confirmed fires only at early pivots. Volatility-confirmed
fires only when bar participation validates the MA shift.

HOW IT WORKS
ADX measures trend strength on a 0-1 scale and feeds it directly into
the MA smoothing factor. High ADX = MA tracks price. Low ADX = MA holds
still. The fuzzy factor adds a dead zone so tiny movements register as
flat instead of false trend changes. Three simultaneous lookbacks give
you short-term, medium-term, and weekly context without switching charts.
DASHBOARD
Regime state at a glance. The header row shows a badge that flags
conflicting events; the second row shows the current regime label with
a 7-tier color gradient; the third row shows direction pivot events.
ALERTS
Two independent alert systems, both multi-layer filtered. Regime-confirmed:
the regime pivot is the signal; price crossing the selected ADXVMA is just
the trigger. Only fires at early pivots (score 1-2), ignoring mid-trend
crosses entirely. Volatility-confirmed: the ATR bar expansion is the
signal; the ADXVMA momentum shift is the trigger. Only fires when the bar
shows real participation (high/low extends beyond open +/- ATR), ignoring

The objective is simple: separate efficient VWAP reclaims from noisy or late recoveries that may look promising at first glance but fail to show durable acceptance.
This makes the script useful for traders who want more context than a basic VWAP cross. A standard cross can show that price moved from one side of VWAP to the other. This script is designed to evaluate the quality of that transition.
UNIQUE EDGE
The focus here is not generic VWAP direction bias and not a simple above/below state model.
The main edge of the script is its reclaim-quality framework. It evaluates the reclaim as a sequence rather than as a one-line event:
1) reclaim strength,
2) post-reclaim acceptance,
3) retest behavior,

5) failure risk.

A reclaim that closes back above VWAP with a strong bar, holds acceptance, and survives a disciplined retest should not be treated the same as a reclaim that occurs late, stalls immediately, or fails after a shallow recovery. Is this reclaim simply back above VWAP, or is it actually behaving like a higher-quality recovery?
METHODOLOGY
The script starts by tracking session VWAP and identifying reclaim attempts after price has spent time below it.
Once a reclaim is detected, the script evaluates several components:
1) Reclaim strength
The reclaim bar is assessed using distance from VWAP, body efficiency, and close location within the bar. This helps distinguish decisive recoveries from marginal crosses.
2) Acceptance above VWAP
After the reclaim, the script measures whether price is actually holding above VWAP over the next bars. Stable acceptance is treated differently from mixed or poor acceptance.
3) Retest behavior
The script checks whether price revisits VWAP inside a defined tolerance area and whether that test is held constructively. A confirmed retest is handled as separate information rather than being merged blindly into the initial reclaim.
4) Timing quality
Reclaims that occur after an extended stay below VWAP, or later in the intraday session, can be penalized. This allows the script to separate timely recoveries from delayed ones.
5) Failure logic
A reclaim can later be downgraded if price loses structure below VWAP after the recovery. This failure layer is intentionally more selective so that minor noise is not treated as a meaningful reclaim breakdown.
The result is a compact grading model that produces a readable chart-first output instead of a large diagnostic dashboard.
