This script visualizes the four major forex trading sessions alongside the four ICT killzone windows, with three analytical additions that most session scripts do not include: a per-session VWAP line, a Daily Open reference, and an Asia range midpoint that extends forward into the London and New York sessions.
It works on intraday timeframes. The number of historical session days displayed is configurable.
█ SESSIONS
Four sessions are available, each independently toggleable:
• Tokyo — 09:00–18:00 Asia/Tokyo
• London — 08:00–17:00 Europe/London
• New York — 09:30–16:00 America/New_York
• Sydney — 07:00–16:00 Australia/Sydney (off by default)
Each session draws a high/low line pair with a soft glow layer behind it, a midpoint dotted line at 50% of the session range, and optional quartile lines at 25% and 75%. A semi-transparent fill box covers the active session range and fades when the session closes. Historical sessions are preserved as lighter boxes and lines, controlled by the Historical Sessions (days) setting.
Session labels are positioned at the horizontal midpoint of the session and display the session name, current range in points, the range as a percentage of ATR(14), and the live VWAP value.
When two sessions are active simultaneously — London and New York from approximately 13:00–17:00 UTC, or Tokyo and London around 07:00–09:00 UTC — an overlap box is drawn over that window in a distinct color.
█ ICT KILLZONES
All four ICT killzone windows are implemented, each individually toggleable under a master switch:
• Asia KZ — 20:00–00:00 America/New_York
• London Open KZ — 02:00–05:00 America/New_York
• NY Open KZ — 07:00–10:00 America/New_York
• London Close KZ — 10:00–12:00 America/New_York
Each killzone box uses a dotted border when closed and switches to a solid border while the window is currently active. This makes it immediately clear at a glance whether a killzone is live or historical.
Most published session scripts include only two killzones (London Open and NY Open). The Asia and London Close windows are included here because they are part of the complete ICT framework — the Asia killzone in particular is where a significant portion of daily liquidity is engineered before the London session opens.
█ SESSION VWAP
A VWAP line is calculated independently for each session. It resets to zero at each session open and accumulates using the standard (High + Low + Close) / 3 × Volume formula throughout the session. This is not a daily or weekly VWAP — it is a session-scoped VWAP that resets with each new Tokyo, London, and New York open.
Price above the session VWAP indicates the session is currently net bullish in terms of volume-weighted price. Price below indicates net bearish. The VWAP value is also shown in the live metrics table and in the session label.
Sydney VWAP is not calculated as volume data on that session is generally unreliable outside of ASX-listed instruments.
█ DAILY OPEN LINE
A horizontal line is drawn at the price level at which the new day opened — specifically at midnight New York time (00:00 America/New_York). This corresponds to the ICT "00:00 line" or daily open reference, which is used in ICT methodology as a key intraday reference level for assessing whether price is trading at a premium or discount relative to the daily range.
The line extends forward through the trading day and refreshes at each midnight NY transition.
█ ASIA RANGE MIDPOINT EXTENSION
When the Tokyo session closes, the midpoint of its high-low range is calculated and projected forward as a dashed line into the London and New York sessions. This level — the 50% point of the Asian range — is referenced in ICT methodology as a key intraday equilibrium. London and New York sessions frequently interact with this level before establishing directional bias.
This extension is drawn automatically and requires no manual input. It is toggled by the Asia Range Mid Extension setting.
█ LIVE METRICS TABLE
A table in the corner of the chart displays eight columns for each active session:
• SESSION — name, color-coded to the session
• STATUS — ACTIVE or CLOSED
• RANGE (PTS) — current range in price ticks

The Historical Sessions (days) input controls how many past session blocks remain visible. The script uses a millisecond-based time window rather than a bar count, so the lookback is stable across different timeframes. Setting this to 1 shows only the current day's sessions. Setting it to 5 retains the last five days. Objects beyond the limit are deleted automatically to manage Pine's drawing object limits.

Daily VWAP Deviation MapDaily VWAP Deviation Map plots the current exchange day's VWAP and volume-weighted standard-deviation bands around it.
The purpose of this script is to show how far price is trading from the day's volume-weighted mean. Distance is displayed in price units, percent, and sigma distance. This is a context and visualization tool. It does not provide trade-action instructions and it is not a trading system.
What it shows
- Daily VWAP based on the selected source, default hlc3.
- Inner, outer, and optional tail deviation bands.
- Sigma distance from the current day's VWAP.
- A neutral state model that describes price location relative to VWAP.
- A compact dashboard with state, sigma distance, percent distance, VWAP, and volume mode.
- Optional non-arrow event markers for factual band-crossing events.
How it works
At the start of each exchange day, the calculation resets and begins accumulating volume-weighted sums from the current chart bars.
The script maintains:
- cumulative volume
- cumulative price times volume
- cumulative price squared times volume
- session bar count
From these values, it calculates:
VWAP = cumulative price times volume / cumulative volume
variance = cumulative price squared times volume / cumulative volume - VWAP squared
sigma = square root of variance, guarded against rounding noise
The script then calculates:
- raw distance from VWAP
- percent distance from VWAP
- sigma distance from VWAP
All calculations use current chart bars only. The script does not use request.security(), lookahead, or future data. Historical values are not recalculated with future information.
Daily anchoring
The daily reset follows the chart symbol's exchange day and timezone. This reset is used only to anchor the VWAP calculation to the current day. It is not a session highlighter and it does not shade Tokyo, London, New York, or other trading sessions.
Deviation states
The dashboard uses neutral descriptive states:
- Warming up
- Near VWAP
- Inner range
- One-sigma edge
- Two-sigma extension
- Outer tail
These states describe current price location. They do not imply future reversal or continuation.
Bands and multipliers
The inner, outer, and tail band multipliers are user-configurable. The active outer tier is kept above the active inner tier, and the active tail tier is kept above the outer tier. Event markers and alerts follow the active inner and outer band tiers so they remain aligned with the displayed bands when users customize the multipliers.
Volume handling
When usable volume is available, the calculation is volume-weighted. If volume is missing or not positive and fallback is enabled, the script uses an equal-weight fallback so the display can remain continuous. The dashboard discloses this clearly.
The dashboard volume mode can show:
- Volume-weighted
- Equal-weight fallback
- No usable volume
On some symbols, especially certain FX or CFD feeds, volume may represent tick volume or may not be available. This affects how VWAP and deviation bands should be interpreted.
Events and alerts
Event markers are small, neutral, non-arrow plotshape markers. They describe factual events only, such as:
- crossed above the upper inner band
- crossed below the lower inner band
- crossed above the upper outer band
- crossed below the lower outer band
- returned inside from an upper or lower extension
- crossed VWAP
Alerts use the same neutral event logic. The default setting evaluates events on confirmed bars only to reduce intrabar repainting.
Customization
Users can adjust the dashboard position, layout density, text size, plot colors, table colors, marker colors, and transparency settings.
The default dashboard position is Top right padded. It keeps the panel in the upper-right area while using subtle internal spacing to reduce clutter near the chart's right-side price-scale labels. Users can switch to standard Top right or any other available table anchor.
The default layout is Compact for a clean chart. Standard and Detailed layouts are available for users who want more information.
Intended use
This indicator is designed for intraday charts. On daily or higher timeframes, the script avoids showing misleading daily VWAP deviation bands and displays an intraday-use notice instead.
Limitations
This script is not financial advice and not a trading system.
Distance from VWAP does not guarantee reversal or continuation.
Default settings are starting points, not optimized settings.
Early-session VWAP and sigma readings can be sensitive because fewer bars have been accumulated.

OVERVIEW
This is an anchored-VWAP framework that turns a single VWAP line into a complete fair-value workspace. It plots an anchored VWAP, a faster "decayed" VWAP, a rolling VWAP, proper volume-weighted standard-deviation bands, higher-timeframe VWAP levels that act as support and resistance, and a regime read — and it calibrates its own signals against the symbol's own past so you can see how often they actually followed through. Everything is derived from one idea (volume-weighted price) so the components reinforce each other rather than competing for screen space.
WHY THESE COMPONENTS ARE COMBINED (and how they work together)
A plain VWAP tells you fair value but nothing about momentum, dispersion, higher-timeframe structure, or reliability. Each component here answers a different one of those questions, and they are meant to be read together as one picture:
- ANCHORED VWAP is the reference: fair value accumulated since a chosen event (the session, a swing pivot, or a manual click). Every other element is measured relative to this line, which is why it sits at the centre of the engine rather than being one more overlay.
- DECAYED FAST VWAP is the same VWAP with an exponential half-life applied to its volume weights, so it responds faster to recent flow. On its own a fast line is just noise; paired with the anchored line it becomes a momentum signal — when the fast line crosses the slow line, near-term flow has shifted relative to fair value. This is a fast/slow pair built from a single construct, not two unrelated indicators.
- VOLUME-WEIGHTED SIGMA BANDS measure dispersion around fair value. They are computed from the running second moment (sigma = square root of E - (E )^2), volume-weighted and reset-aware, not a price-only standard deviation slapped onto the VWAP. Because the bands scale with volume-weighted dispersion, "stretched" means the same thing on any instrument and in any regime — which is what lets the cross and stretch signals be compared and calibrated across assets.
- ROLLING VWAP provides a second, independent cross of the anchored line, so a shift confirmed by both the decayed and the rolling line carries more weight than either alone.
- MULTI-TIMEFRAME VWAP LEVELS are the rolling VWAP computed at 3x, 5x and 15x the chart timeframe and drawn as horizontal levels. Higher-timeframe fair value is where larger participants transact, so these levels frequently act as support and resistance. They are coloured by role — green when a level sits below price (support), red when above (resistance) — and weighted by horizon, so the longer-timeframe level is visually the heaviest.
- REGIME + CALIBRATION are the quality layer. An efficiency-ratio and ADX read classifies the market as trending, mixed or choppy, and (optionally) filters the cross signals so they are not taken in chop. Separately, the script tracks, past-only, how often a cross was followed by a move and how often a stretch reverted toward fair value, reporting each as a percentage with a confidence interval. This is what separates a measured framework from a drawing tool: the signals are scored against the instrument's own history.
Read together: the anchored VWAP gives you fair value, the bands tell you how stretched price is, the decayed/rolling crosses tell you when flow shifts, the higher-timeframe levels tell you the structure price is moving inside, the regime tells you whether to trust a signal, and the calibration tells you how those signals have behaved here before.
HOW TO USE IT
1. Pick an anchor mode in settings — Session, Pivot High, Pivot Low, or Manual (click a bar). The anchored VWAP and its bands rebuild from that point.
2. Use the trend-coloured anchored VWAP as fair value. Price above it is in the upper half of value, below it the lower half.
3. Watch the decayed line crossing the anchored line (triangles) as a momentum-shift cue, and treat crosses that occur in a non-choppy regime as higher quality (the regime filter does this for you when enabled).
4. Treat the +/- sigma stretches (circles) as extension — price is far from fair value and historically prone to revert; the table shows how often that has happened on this symbol.
5. Use the 3x/5x/15x VWAP levels as support/resistance targets and invalidation references; alignment of price above or below all three is shown compactly in the table.
6. Read the table for direction, extension (as a z-score), regime, higher-timeframe alignment, and the past-only follow-through rates.
WHAT MAKES IT ORIGINAL
It is not a single-line VWAP or a generic band script. The combination is the point: a decayed fast/slow VWAP pair, a correct volume-weighted sigma from the running second moment, multi-timeframe VWAP support/resistance, regime-gated signals, and a per-symbol calibration of both the cross and the stretch. The calibration in particular — measuring the script's own signals against the symbol's own past rather than assuming they work — is not something a standard VWAP provides.
WORKS ON ANY ASSET (universal)
The price SOURCE is selectable in the settings, so the engine runs on any market — futures, indices, FX, crypto, or stocks. VWAP requires volume; on symbols that report none, you can borrow volume from a reference symbol so the script still functions. All thresholds are sigma- and ATR-relative, so nothing is tied to one instrument's price scale.
SETTINGS SUMMARY
- Data Source: price source (default HLC3) and an optional volume-borrow symbol for no-volume instruments.
- Anchor & Lines: anchor mode, pivot length, manual anchor time, decay half-life, rolling window, slope smoothing.
- Signals & Regime: stretch threshold (in sigma), and an option to show crosses only in a non-choppy regime.
- Higher-Timeframe VWAP: show the 3x/5x/15x bias, and draw them as support/resistance levels.
- Calibration: enable tracking, evaluation horizon, and minimum follow-through in ATR.
- Visuals: Auto/Dark/Light theme, bull/bear colours, gradient fill, line glow, table, and table position.
The script also prints its name, the symbol and the timeframe on the chart so it is always clear what is being viewed.
LIMITATIONS (please read)
- Pivot anchors confirm only after the pivot length in bars, so a new pivot anchor appears with that delay (it is always drawn at its true historical bar).
- The higher-timeframe levels are live VWAPs and firm up as their higher-timeframe bar closes.
- Calibration is descriptive of past behaviour only and is not a forecast.
- Everything here is probabilistic context, not a prediction or a guarantee.

How to Use This Indicator
Step 1: Choose Your Anchor

Step 2: Read Band Levels as Statistical Reference
The 0.5 band is one half standard deviation from VWAP — a mild deviation typical of normal trending behavior. The 1.618 band is the extreme extension zone. Price at the 1.618 band has a statistical reversion probability above 99.7%, but this does not mean reversion is imminent or guaranteed.
Step 3: Check the Reversion Probability
Read the Reversion Prob row in the dashboard. As Z-score rises above 2, reversion probability exceeds 95.4%. This quantifies how unusual the current deviation is relative to the full history from the anchor point.
Step 4: Confirm with Order Flow Score
The Order Flow score reflects whether the current bar has institutional characteristics. A high score (above 60) during a VWAP cross suggests genuine participation. A low score (below 30) during a cross suggests a potentially false signal.
Indicator Limitations
The VWAP standard deviation widens significantly with the anchor period. Bands anchored to a six-month period will be very wide; bands anchored to one day will be tight. The global sensitivity parameter must be adjusted accordingly
The Z-score probabilities assume normally distributed returns, which markets do not produce. Fat tails mean extreme Z-scores occur more frequently than the percentages suggest
The synthetic order flow score uses tick volume as a proxy for actual order flow. On assets with low tick frequency, this approximation is less reliable

Summary
This indicator measures how statistically crowded the current trade has become and reports the reading on a 0 to 100 scale with four named tiers: Healthy, Late, Crowded, and Climax Risk. It is not a top or bottom caller. The goal is to give traders an explicit picture of how stretched price has become relative to historical context, so they can avoid late entries, tighten stops, or take profit when the reading enters extreme territory.
Eight independent factors are combined into the composite score. The pane shows a histogram of the score plus reference lines at the tier thresholds; the background of the pane is tinted when the reading enters the Crowded or Climax Risk tier; a dashboard summarizes the contributing factors.
What is original here
Many public indicators measure one dimension of exhaustion (most commonly distance from a moving average, or RSI level). The contribution of this script is the combination of eight diverse factors that together describe trade crowding from different angles: spatial extension (EMA distance, VWAP distance), persistence (consecutive same-direction candles), momentum exhaustion (RSI percentile), participation extreme (volume climax), volatility expansion (ATR percentile), behavioural rejection (failed continuation wicks with hysteresis), and price/momentum divergence. Each factor weight is exposed as an input so users can audit and tune the composite. The script also deliberately treats divergence and failed-wick signals with a multi-bar hysteresis so single-bar prints do not produce one-bar spikes in the score.
How it works
The trend direction used by the script is the immediate-bar EMA slope. The trend EMA length is configurable (default 50).
The eight factors are computed each bar.
1. EMA distance. Absolute distance from the trend EMA in ATR units, scaled to 0-100.
2. VWAP distance. Absolute distance from an anchored VWAP (Session, Week, or Month — user-selectable) in ATR units, scaled.
3. Candle streak. Number of consecutive same-direction candles aligned with the trend. The counter resets to zero on the first counter-direction bar and the score scales with the streak length.
4. RSI percentile. RSI is computed and percentile-ranked over the configurable lookback. The percentile is taken on the trend side (uptrend uses RSI percentile directly; downtrend uses 100 minus the percentile) so that extreme readings always indicate crowding in the direction of the trend .
5. Volume climax. A discrete score: 100 when volume is in the top decile, 60 in the top quartile, 30 above the median, 0 otherwise.
6. ATR percentile. Current ATR percentile over the lookback.
7. Failed continuation wick. When the current bar prints a wick against the trend direction that exceeds the body by a factor of two, a five-bar hysteresis counter is set. The score decays linearly to zero over five bars. This prevents one-bar wick noise from spiking the score and then disappearing.
8. Price-momentum divergence. Price prints a new N-bar extreme but RSI does not. Bearish divergence in an uptrend, or bullish divergence in a downtrend, sets a five-bar hysteresis just like factor 7.
All factors are weighted (user-configurable), averaged, and clamped to 0-100. Tier mapping:
Healthy : 0 to 40
Late : 40 to crowded_threshold (default 70)
Crowded : crowded_threshold to extreme_threshold (default 85)
Climax Risk : extreme_threshold to 100
Repainting and data integrity
All factors are computed on confirmed-bar values; alerts are gated by barstate.isconfirmed. No request.security() calls are made — the script operates entirely on the chart timeframe. The hysteresis counters for divergence and failed-wick reset deterministically and do not look forward.
How to read the chart
The composite is plotted as a colored histogram in the indicator pane. The color reflects the current tier (green for Healthy, orange for Late, pink for Crowded, red for Climax Risk).
Reference lines mark the tier thresholds.
The pane background is tinted when the reading enters the Crowded or Climax Risk tier.
The dashboard panel shows the current tier, each contributing factor's reading, and the composite score.
Inputs
Inputs are grouped into four sections.
Core Settings : trend EMA length, ATR length, RSI length, percentile lookback, divergence lookback, VWAP anchor.
Score Tuning : a 0 to N weight for each of the eight factors, the Climax Risk threshold, the Crowded threshold.
Visual Settings : histogram toggle, dashboard toggle, background-tint toggle, panel position and size, panel background color.
Any Alert() function call conditions : per-alert toggles.
Alerts
Four alert conditions are provided:
Entered Crowded Zone (score crossed the Crowded threshold from below)
Entered Climax Risk Zone (score crossed the Climax Risk threshold from below)
Divergence Detected (a price-momentum divergence triggered this bar)
Exhaustion Cooling (score fell back below the Crowded threshold from above)
Each is declared via alertcondition() and is fired programmatically through alert() when the corresponding input toggle is enabled, using alert.freq_once_per_bar_close. Alert messages include {{ticker}} and {{interval}} placeholders.
How to use this script
This is a profit-taking and late-entry-avoidance tool, not an entry trigger.
Apply on the timeframe where you make trading decisions.
While the score is Healthy or Late, the trend can continue to extend; this is not a fade signal.
When the score enters Crowded or Climax Risk on the trend side, tighten stops on existing trend trades, scale out, or avoid late entries.
The Divergence alert is a secondary signal — it indicates internal momentum disagreement but is not a reversal call on its own.
The Exhaustion Cooling alert can be used to identify the end of a stretched move, which sometimes precedes a fresh trend or a multi-bar consolidation.
Limitations and honest caveats
"Crowded" does not mean "imminent reversal". Strong trends can stay crowded for extended periods.
The composite is a heuristic, not a probability.
The divergence factor requires that price prints a new N-bar extreme. Divergences that occur without a fresh extreme will not be detected.
The VWAP factor uses a single anchor at a time (Session, Week, or Month). Multiple simultaneous VWAP comparisons are not supported.
The streak counter resets on a single counter-direction candle, which can cause sharp drops in the streak factor that do not necessarily indicate the trend is over.
The script makes no prediction about when or how a stretched trend will end.

The session VWAPs — NY, London, and Asia — reveal the price acceptance or rejection developing within each regional trading block. When price holds above the NY VWAP but stalls beneath the Daily VWAP, that tension itself is actionable information. Technical Architecture
Each VWAP anchor is computed through a dedicated VwapInstance User-Defined Type (UDT). This object maintains the running sums required for both the VWAP price and the volume-weighted population standard deviation, using the mathematically correct formula σ² = E − E ² . Deviation bands derived from this are true volume-weighted standard deviations — not ATR estimates or fixed percentage offsets.
The Rolling VWAP runs on a High-Fidelity Sliding Time-Window Engine . Rather than anchoring to a calendar boundary, it maintains four parallel arrays (price-volume, volume, squared price-volume, and timestamps) to continuously evict data older than the user-defined window. This produces a genuinely time-accurate rolling VWAP at any timeframe, not a bar-count approximation.
Session resets (NY, London, Asia) use a one-minute anchor window via time("1", range, timezone) , which fires accurately across all chart timeframes — not just 1-minute charts.
Features & Functionality
Daily VWAP: Anchors at each calendar day open using hlc3 as the price source. Resets correctly on the first bar of every session including overnight gaps. Paired with optional volume-weighted standard deviation bands (two configurable multipliers for ±1σ and ±2σ levels).
Daily VWAP Wave (H/L): Plots two companion VWAPs anchored to the daily high and low respectively, with a filled channel between them. WHAT IT SHOWS
Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD)
The core of the indicator. CVD accumulates signed volume throughout each session — positive when buyers are aggressive, negative when sellers dominate. Resets at the start of every new session so you always see the current day's order flow in isolation. An EMA signal line rides on top — when CVD crosses below its signal, bias turns bearish; above it, bullish. The fill colour shifts green/red to make the bias instantly readable.
CVD Divergence Labels
When price makes a new session high but CVD fails to confirm (DIST label) — that is distribution: institutions selling into retail buying. When price makes a new session low but CVD holds up (ABS label) — that is absorption: buyers stepping in as price flushes stops. These are the two highest-conviction signals in the indicator. Both are validated against real tick data.
Per-Bar Delta Histogram
Shows the signed volume of every individual bar — how hard buyers or sellers hit at that exact moment. Weighted by bar body ratio so doji bars don't falsely signal. High-volume bars are flagged with a marker. Absorption bars (high volume + tight range — the classic sign of an iceberg order defending a level) are marked with a diamond.
Session-Anchored VWAP with Standard Deviation Bands
VWAP resets each session and is calculated from the true volume-weighted average price. The ±1σ bands approximate the 70% Value Area — the zone where most of the day's business occurred. The ±2σ bands mark the outer extremes. Price extended beyond ±2σ with declining CVD is one of the strongest mean-reversion signals available.
Intraday POC (Point of Control)
Tracks the price level with the highest volume of the current session in real time. The POC is drawn as a dashed gold line extending right. This is the fair value anchor — price gravitates back to it repeatedly throughout the session and into the next day.
Value Area High (VAH) and Value Area Low (VAL)
Derived from the VWAP standard deviation bands. VAH = VWAP +1σ, VAL = VWAP -1σ. These are the boundaries of accepted value. Price breaking outside them and failing to hold is the definition of a Failed Auction — the primary trade setup this indicator is built around.
Virgin POC Detection
Tracks the POC of the previous two sessions. If price has not returned to a prior session's POC since that session ended, that level is "virgin" — untouched high-volume ground. When price finally reaches it, a circle marker appears on the chart (VP for 1-session-old, VP2 for 2-session-old). Virgin POCs produce the strongest reactions of any level because they contain trapped participants at their cost basis. Lines for VP1 and VP2 are drawn on the chart automatically each session and the live price levels are shown in the info table.
Failed Auction Signals (FA↑ / FA↓)
A Failed Auction occurs when price spikes outside the Value Area then returns back inside, rejecting the breakout. FA↑ (triangle up, below bar) fires when price has recently been below VAL and recovered back into value with positive delta and CVD above its signal line — buyers reclaimed the level. FA↓ (triangle down, above bar) fires when price has been above VAH and falls back with negative delta and CVD below its signal line — sellers rejected the breakout. Both signals are confirmed by CVD direction, not price alone.

Asia (purple), London (gold), and NY (green) session backgrounds so you can instantly see which session produced which price action. LON and NY open labels appear at the exact opening bar of each session.

Introduction
Vanta Delta Cartography is an open-source liquidity and auction-mapping indicator. It combines session VWAP bands, a developing volume profile, POC/value-area/VWMP references, estimated CVD impulse, pivot-confirmed divergence, absorption scoring, naked POC memory, and compact execution plans.
The goal is to show where the active session is accepting value, where pressure is imbalanced, and where a confirmed bid-side or ask-side plan appears.
Core Concepts
1. Manual Session VWAP
The script calculates session VWAP from cumulative price-volume and volume during the configured active session. Weighted deviation bands create inner and outer auction zones around VWAP.
2. Developing Volume Profile
The active range is divided into rows. The script estimates total volume, buy pressure, and sell pressure inside each row, then derives POC, value area high, value area low, VWMP, and imbalance shelves.
3. Estimated CVD Impulse
CVD is estimated from candle-derived delta. Fast and slow CVD lines create impulse context, while pivot-confirmed divergence identifies disagreement between price and participation.
4. Naked POC Memory
Prior session POC levels can be stored until price revisits them. This gives the chart a memory of unfinished auction references.
5. Auction Quality Gate
Long and short plans require location, delta, quality score, and a supporting event such as POC reclaim, value-area reaction, divergence, or shelf pressure.

How to Use This Indicator
Step 1: Read the session auction
Use VWAP, value area, and POC to determine whether price is accepting above control, below control, or rotating around value.
Step 2: Check pressure shelves
Imbalance shelves show where estimated participation is concentrated. These areas can act as reaction context.
Step 3: Watch CVD impulse and divergence
Strong CVD impulse supports continuation. Divergence warns that price and participation are not confirming each other.
Indicator Limitations
CVD and pressure are estimated from candles and volume, not true exchange delta.
Volume profile rows are approximations based on chart data and selected lookback.
Session behavior depends on the selected session template.
Divergence uses pivot confirmation and can appear after the pivot candle.

Most VWAP band implementations calculate standard deviation using only intraday price variance. This creates a well-known flaw: at the start of each session, when very few bars have been processed, the bands collapse to near zero and are practically useless. As the session progresses, the bands gradually widen — but asymmetrically, because early price swings distort the variance calculation.
This indicator solves that with a fixed daily ATR seed.

HOW THE ATR SEED WORKS

Before the session opens, the indicator fetches the previous day's closing price and ATR from the daily timeframe. These two fixed values are used to calculate a minimum band width that holds constant throughout the entire trading day — it does not fluctuate with intraday price movement.
The standard deviation used for the bands is then taken as the larger of two values: the real-time intraday price variance, or the fixed ATR-based seed variance. This means the bands are always at least as wide as the prior day's volatility warrants, while still expanding naturally when intraday price action is more volatile than usual.
The result is symmetric, stable bands from the very first bar of the session.

PROXY VOLUME ENGINE

Many brokers and CFD platforms do not provide real volume data. Without volume, a VWAP calculation loses its core meaning.
This indicator includes a built-in Proxy Volume Engine that automatically detects the current symbol and maps it to a liquid equivalent source with real volume data. For example, XAUUSD is mapped to COMEX:GC1!, EURUSD to FX:EURUSD, BTCUSD to BINANCE:BTCUSDT, and so on — covering over 80 symbols across all major asset classes. If the platform provides native volume, it is used directly. If not, the proxy volume is applied transparently with no action required from the user.

Summary
This indicator detects Donchian-style breakouts (a close beyond the highest close or lowest close over a user-configured lookback) and scores each breakout from 0 to 100 across seven independent factors of supporting evidence. The output is a composite "Evidence Score" with a tier label of Strong, Valid, Mixed, or Weak. It is intended as a quality filter for continuation entries — traders use it to separate breakouts that occur in supportive context from breakouts that occur on thin volume, late extension, or counter-trend conditions.
What is original here
Breakout detection from prior-bar Donchian extremes is standard and is already present in many public scripts. The contribution of this script is the seven-factor evidence panel applied at the moment of the breakout. The factors quantify the breakout's pre-conditions (compression), the breakout's immediate character (volume, ATR expansion, close location), its position relative to mean (VWAP distance), and its alignment with higher-timeframe context. The combination — and the transparency of each factor's contribution to the final score — is what differentiates this script. Each factor weight is exposed as an input so the model can be inspected, tuned, or partially disabled.
How it works
Breakout detection uses the highest close and lowest close over the prior donchian_len bars, indexed by so the breakout level is the previous bar's extreme rather than the current bar's own extreme. A bullish breakout is registered when the current close exceeds the prior-bar highest close; the bearish case is symmetric. To avoid re-firing on every bar that remains above the prior high, only the first breakout (a transition from "not broken" to "broken") is treated as a signal. Optionally, a "Require Compression Before Breakout" filter rejects breakouts that do not follow a mature Bollinger Bandwidth compression — useful in choppy markets. Signal evaluation is gated by barstate.isconfirmed.
When a breakout is detected, the following seven factors are computed.
1. Compression score. The Bollinger Bandwidth at the prior bar, expressed as a percentile rank over the configured lookback. The score is inverted: tight pre-break (low BBW percentile) yields a high score, while a breakout from already-expanded volatility yields a low score.
2. ATR expansion score. The current bar's ATR percentile rank. High ATR percentile means the breakout is moving with thrust, not just drifting across the level.
3. Volume score. The current bar's volume percentile rank.
4. Close-location score. Where the close sits within the bar's high-low range. For a bullish breakout the score rewards a close near the bar's high; for a bearish breakout, a close near the bar's low. A weak close (in the middle of the range or against direction) indicates indecision.
5. VWAP distance score. The absolute distance from an anchored VWAP, expressed in ATR units. A breakout that is already extended from VWAP scores lower than a breakout that occurs near the mean. The anchor is user-selectable: Session, Week, or Month.
6. HTF alignment score. A higher-timeframe trend reference is fetched and the breakout direction is compared against the HTF trend. Aligned breakouts score full credit; neutral HTF scores half; counter-HTF scores zero.
7. Compression-to-expansion confirmation. A binary factor that earns full credit only when the prior bar was in a mature compression and the current bar shows clear expansion (ATR percentile above a threshold). This captures the classic "coil release" pattern.
The composite is the weighted average of all seven factors. Tier mapping:
Strong : score 80 or higher
Valid : score 60 to 79
Mixed : score 30 to 59
Weak : below 30
Repainting and data integrity
Signal generation and labels are gated by barstate.isconfirmed. Donchian extremes are indexed by so they refer to the prior bar's high or low, not the current bar's own value. The higher-timeframe trend reference is fetched with request.security() using a prior-bar source together with barmerge.lookahead_on — the standard non-repainting idiom that returns the last confirmed HTF bar's value. This pattern does not access future data.
How to read the chart
The Donchian rails (prior-bar highest and lowest closes) are plotted as thin green and red lines so the breakout level is visible.
A small triangle marks the breakout bar (below for bullish, above for bearish).
A directional tier label is placed on the breakout bar, color-graded from red at low scores to green at high scores. Text shows the tier and numeric composite score.
An "Evidence Board" dashboard panel displays each of the seven factors as a row, with gradient cells reflecting that factor's contribution, plus the composite score and tier.
All sub-scores are also output as hidden plots for use in the Data Window and alert messages.
Inputs
Inputs are grouped into five sections.
Core Settings : Donchian lookback, Bollinger Band length and standard-deviation multiplier, percentile-rank lookback, ATR length.
Filters : HTF trend reference, VWAP anchor (Session / Week / Month), optional "Require Compression Before Breakout" toggle.
Score Tuning : a 0 to 1 weight for each of the seven factors.
Visual Settings : panel position, panel size, label cap, marker toggles.
Any Alert() function call conditions : per-alert boolean toggles.
Alerts
Four alert conditions are provided: Strong Bull Breakout (bullish breakout with score at or above 80), Strong Bear Breakout, Any Breakout with Score ≥ 70, and Any Breakout with Score ≥ 80. Each alert is declared via alertcondition() for the native PulseWire alert UI and is fired programmatically through alert() when the corresponding input toggle is enabled. Programmatic alerts use alert.freq_once_per_bar_close. Alert message templates include {{ticker}}, {{interval}}, and {{close}} placeholders.
How to use this script
This is a continuation filter, not a complete system.
Look for a chart setup where a breakout would be your trade thesis (range break, base break, retest of a prior high, etc.).
Wait for a breakout marker.
Read the Evidence Board panel. A Strong or Valid score with HTF aligned is the highest-conviction case.
A Weak score on a Donchian breakout usually indicates either thin volume, no prior compression, or counter-trend pressure — useful as a "skip this one" signal.
The script does not place orders or define stops; sizing and exits remain the user's responsibility.
Limitations and honest caveats
The composite is a heuristic evidence weighting, not a probability. A Strong tier does not imply a specific success rate.
Fast news-driven breakouts may print with little prior compression and may receive lower scores than they deserve. The "Require Compression" filter is therefore off by default; users who want it strict can enable it.
The anchored VWAP uses a fixed anchor choice (Session, Week, or Month). It does not support multiple simultaneous VWAPs or user-defined anchor points.
Donchian breakouts on the current chart timeframe may not align with breakouts a user perceives at higher timeframes; consider the HTF alignment factor as a coarse check, not as multi-timeframe structure analysis.
The script does not include any backtesting, position sizing, or order management logic.
