Validated with permutation tests on gold and Ethereum. On Bitcoin the detection displays but the statistical edge is not demonstrated; on major forex pairs it is absent. Test it yourself before using it elsewhere.
The background regime changes slowly (weeks): that is by design — it filters, it does not scalp.
## 🔍 Understanding the display (going deeper)
THE THREE LAYERS
Regime (background, default 8H) — a slow Kalman trend filter with hysteresis: the background only colors once the regime is installed (default 3 days, adjustable). Locked at its own bar close: it does not flicker and does not repaint.
Trend (curve, default 1H) — the exact price level that would flip the trend filter, computed in advance: the distance between price and curve measures the strength of the trend.
Your candle (the chart) — the curve is monitored at your chart's granularity: you see the flip before the 1H close (small triangles), the close confirms it (big triangles).
HOW TO READ IT
Green background + bright green curve + GO = every layer agrees: the most favorable long context. Mirror in red for shorts.
Pale green curve = uptrend without an installed regime — weak bias.
Pale red curve = intraday "breather" (recurring windows of weakness inside an uptrend) — a short-lived bias, not an invitation to swing short.
Blue = no statistical edge. The best trade is often no trade.
After a bullish GO, price often retests the curve before continuing: aim for the retest rather than the impulse.

The core insight: a single trailing stop line gives you a binary answer — "in trend" or "flipped". But price interacts with the liquidity zone around the trail in layers: shallow pullbacks, deep sweeps, and full reversals all look different. LTM replaces the single line with a graded four-band matrix, scores every pullback-and-reclaim by depth, candle quality, volume, higher-timeframe alignment and trend maturity, and overlays where volume actually accumulated during the current trend leg — so you can see whether a retest is landing on real acceptance (HVN / POC) or falling into a volume vacuum (LVN).

🧩 WHY THESE COMPONENTS WORK TOGETHER
A trailing stop alone tells you the trend direction but nothing about entry quality — every touch of the line looks the same. A volume profile alone shows you where volume traded but has no concept of trend regime or entry timing. A retest signal alone fires on any bounce, whether it happens in a mature trend with higher-timeframe support or in the dying bars of an exhausted move. Used separately, these tools leave you guessing.
LTM chains them into one pipeline:

The band stack defines the trend and, critically, grades how deep each pullback penetrates (Band 1 = shallow, Band 4 = extreme). That depth becomes the largest single component of the retest score. The score is then adjusted by the reclaim candle's close location, relative volume, trend age, and the higher-timeframe EMA-50 bias — five independent dimensions that a plain trailing stop cannot see. Every confirmed signal is handed to the trade engine, which places a structure-aware stop, three risk-multiple targets and manages break-even. Meanwhile the volume profile is rebuilt from the exact flip bar of the current trend, so POC, Value Area and LVN levels always describe this leg — telling you whether your entry sits on volume acceptance or in a vacuum. Finally, every closed trade feeds the on-chart statistics, so the dashboard shows how this exact configuration has behaved on this exact chart.
Remove any link and the chain breaks: without band depth there is no meaningful score; without the score every bounce is a signal; without the segment-anchored profile the volume context is stale; without the trade engine the signals have no defined risk; without stats you never learn whether the settings fit the instrument.
🔍 WHAT MAKES IT ORIGINAL
1️⃣ Proportional four-band trail geometry — spacing that scales with width.
Most multi-line trails use fixed offsets (base, base+1, base+2 ATR). LTM computes every band as a proportion of the base multiplier:
Band K distance = base × (1 + K_offset × step), giving four multipliers:
— m1 = base
— m2 = base × (1 + step)
— m3 = base × (1 + 2 × step)
— m4 = base × (1 + 3 × step)
With the default Balanced preset (base 4.0, step 0.25) that yields 4.0 / 5.0 / 6.0 / 7.0 ATR. Because spacing is proportional, the geometry of the stack stays visually and behaviorally consistent whether you run tight Scalping bands (2.5 × ATR, step 0.20) or wide Deep Trend bands (6.0 × ATR, step 0.30). Each band ratchets independently (max-lock in uptrends, min-lock in downtrends) and never loosens.
Why this matters: fixed +1/+2/+3 offsets make the stack proportionally "fat" at small base values and "thin" at large ones — proportional spacing keeps pullback depth grading meaningful at any width.
2️⃣ Selectable flip depth — you choose which band defines a reversal.
The trend flips only when price closes beyond a user-chosen band from the previous bar: Fast (Band 2), Balanced (Band 3, default) or Deep (Band 4). Comparing against the previous bar's band value prevents same-bar feedback between the flip and the band update. A warm-up guard (max(3 × ATR length, 60) bars) suppresses all signals until the ATR stack is statistically stable.
Why this matters: flip sensitivity becomes an explicit, single-purpose setting instead of an accidental side effect of band width.
3️⃣ 5-factor retest quality score (0–100) — every signal explains itself.
When price touches any band and then reclaims Band 1 with a directional candle inside the retest window (default 8 bars), LTM computes:
— 📐 Pullback depth (max 25) : Band 2 touch = 25, Band 3 = 18, Band 1 = 15, Band 4 = 10. The maximum touched depth during the pending window is used. Note the deliberate non-linearity: Band 2 scores highest — deep enough to reset liquidity, not deep enough to threaten the trend. Band 4 sweeps score lowest because they often precede full reversals.
— 🕯️ Reclaim candle (max 20) : close location value CLV = (close − low) / (high − low) for longs (mirrored for shorts). CLV > 0.7 → 20 points, > 0.5 → 12, else 5. A reclaim that closes near its extreme shows commitment.
— 📊 Volume (max 20) : current volume vs. the previous bar's 20-period SMA — the spike must not dampen itself by inflating its own average. Volume > 1.2 × baseline → 20, > 1.0 × → 12, else 5. Symbols without volume data receive a neutral 12.
— 🧭 HTF bias (max 20) : aligned with the higher-timeframe EMA-50 direction → 20, no HTF data → 10, against bias → 0.
— ⏳ Trend age (max 15) : 10–150 bars into the trend → 15 (mature, established), under 10 bars → 8 (unproven), over 150 → 5 (aging).
Signals print only when the total meets the Min Retest Score (default 80) and the shared anti-whipsaw cooldown (default 5 bars, deliberately shared across both directions) has elapsed. Every diamond label shows the score, and its tooltip breaks down all five components — no black-box signals.
4️⃣ Non-repainting higher-timeframe bias.
HTF bias compares the higher timeframe's previous closed bar close against its EMA-50, requested with confirmed-bar indexing so the value never changes retroactively. Bias is a soft score component (0/10/20 points), not a hard filter — counter-bias signals can still print if the other four factors are strong enough.
5️⃣ Segment volume profile — range-distributed, anchored to the live trend leg.
The profile is rebuilt on the last bar from the exact flip bar of the current trend (capped by Max Profile Bars, default 500) — no arbitrary lookback padding. Accumulation is range-distributed: each bar's volume is split across every price bin its high–low range overlaps, weighted by overlap fraction:
bin_volume += bar_volume × overlap(bin, bar_range) / (bar_high − bar_low)
This shows where volume actually traded, not where bars happened to close. From the histogram LTM derives:
— 🟡 POC — the highest-volume bin of the segment, drawn with price and volume label. The strongest magnet / defense level of this leg.
— 📦 Value Area (70%) — expanded symmetrically from POC by always adding the larger neighboring bin until 70% of segment volume is enclosed. VAH / VAL edges act as dynamic S/R.
— 📈 HVN — local volume peaks ≥ 0.55 × POC volume (configurable): acceptance shelves where price tends to stall.
— 🕳️ LVN — local troughs ≤ 0.30 × POC volume inside the Value Area (configurable): volume vacuums that price tends to travel through quickly. Each LVN is labeled and feeds a dedicated break alert.
On symbols with no volume feed (forex, some CFDs) the engine substitutes a true-range proxy per bar, so the profile stays structurally meaningful instead of failing.
6️⃣ Trade engine with strict signal-trade parity.
Every confirmed signal (scored retest or trend flip) acts, with unambiguous rules:
— flat → open a position in the signal direction
— opposite position → reverse (close and enter the new direction on the same bar)
— same-direction position → ignored (no pyramiding, no stop tampering)
There are exactly four closure paths: SL hit, break-even stop-out, TP3 touch, or reversal by an opposite signal. Hit detection uses three safety guards: an entry-bar guard (SL/TP are never evaluated on the entry bar itself), a pessimistic same-bar rule (if a bar touches both SL and a TP, the SL wins — statistics never get the benefit of the doubt), and a break-even latency rule (a stop moved to break-even mid-bar cannot trigger on that same bar — the engine checks against the bar-start stop value).
7️⃣ Wick-anchored stop-loss mode.
Two SL modes at entry:
— Wick-Anchored (default) : SL = signal bar's wick extreme ± 0.25 × ATR buffer, with a minimum distance of 0.5 × ATR enforced. The stop hides behind the structure that produced the signal instead of floating at an arbitrary distance.
— ATR : classic fixed SL Multiplier × ATR from entry.
TP1 / TP2 / TP3 are pure risk multiples of the actual SL distance (defaults 1R / 2R / 3R), so the reward structure automatically adapts to how much room the stop needed. Four risk presets (Conservative 2.5 × ATR SL, TP 1/2/4R; Balanced 1.5, TP 1/2/3R; Aggressive 1.0, TP 1.5/2.5/4R; Scalping 0.8, TP 0.8/1.5/2R) plus full Custom control. Optional break-even moves the stop to entry after TP1.
8️⃣ Honest session statistics with a fixed win definition.
A closed trade counts as a win only if TP1 was touched before closure — including break-even stop-outs after TP1 (you banked at least 1R or protected the position). Everything else is a loss, including reversals that never reached TP1. The dashboard shows closed trades, W/L, win rate with a ▰▱ gauge, and a "Form" strip of the last 10 outcomes. Stats are session-scoped and reset on chart reload — this is transparent live tracking of the current settings on the current chart, not a backtest report.
9️⃣ Trend P&L tracker and theme-aware visual system.
An optional floating label follows price in real time and shows the directional % move since the current trend flip (a falling bear trend shows positive %), anchored by a dotted baseline at the trend start price. The label turns red when the trend is under water. The entire visual layer — band transparencies, heatmap fills, dashboard, profile, SL/TP palette — has separate Dark and Light calibrations (Auto-detected from the chart background), because bright hues that look right on dark charts wash out on white ones. TP lines recolor to solid teal with a ✓ when touched; the SL line dims and the entry label annotates "→ SL (BE)" when break-even activates. SL/TP lines persist after the trade closes as a visual record until the next entry replaces them.
⚙️ HOW IT WORKS — CALCULATION FLOW
Step 1 — Band geometry: The preset (or Custom inputs) resolves the base multiplier and proportional step; four multipliers m1–m4 are derived and multiplied by ATR (default length 13).
Step 2 — Ratcheting trail: In an uptrend each band only rises (max-lock); in a downtrend only falls (min-lock). On a flip the whole stack re-seeds on the opposite side of price.
Step 3 — Flip detection: A close beyond the previous bar's value of the chosen flip band (2/3/4) reverses the trend state. Flip labels print on confirmed bars after the warm-up period.
Step 4 — Pullback tracking: Any touch of Band 1–4 against the trend arms a pending retest with its maximum depth, valid for the retest window; pendings decay each bar and are voided on a flip.
Step 5 — Reclaim and scoring: A directional close back beyond Band 1 triggers scoring: depth (25) + candle (20) + volume (20) + HTF bias (20) + trend age (15). Score ≥ threshold and cooldown elapsed → confirmed signal on bar close.
Step 6 — Trade engine: The signal opens or reverses a position; SL is placed (wick-anchored or ATR), TP1–TP3 are projected as risk multiples; break-even, TP recolors and the four closure paths are managed bar by bar with pessimistic resolution.
Step 7 — Segment profile: On the last bar the profile is rebuilt from the flip bar: range-distributed accumulation → POC → 70% Value Area expansion → HVN/LVN detection → drawing.
Step 8 — Reporting: The dashboard updates trend state, signal state, profile levels, live trade card and session statistics; alerts fire on bar close in within-bar chronological order (management → closures → reversal → entries → info).

🎯 Quick start:
1. Add the indicator to your chart and pick a Band Width Preset: Scalping for 1–15M, Balanced for most timeframes, Deep Trend for D–W position trading.
2. Set the Higher Timeframe Bias one or two steps above your chart (e.g. 1H while trading 15M).
3. Choose a Risk Preset that matches your style, or leave Balanced.
4. Watch the dashboard: Trend + HTF Bias aligned means you only consider signals in that direction with full conviction; the retest diamonds do the timing.
5. After 15–20 closed trades, read the Stats section and tune Min Retest Score up (fewer, cleaner signals) or down (more signals) for your instrument.

— 🚫 No repainting. All signals, entries and alerts are confirmed on bar close (barstate.isconfirmed). The trend flip compares against the previous bar's band value. The HTF bias uses the higher timeframe's previous closed bar, so its value never changes retroactively. A warm-up guard suppresses signals for the first max(3 × ATR length, 60) bars.
— 📐 The segment volume profile is a live construct. It is redrawn on the last bar for the current trend leg and evolves as the leg grows — this is by design (it describes the present segment), and historical profile states are not preserved.
— 📊 Session statistics reset on chart reload. They are transparent live tracking of the current settings on the current symbol and timeframe — not a backtest, and past performance does not guarantee future results.
— ⚖️ Same-bar ambiguity is resolved pessimistically. If one bar touches both a stop and a target, the stop wins in the statistics. Intrabar sequence cannot be known from OHLC data, so the engine never gives itself the benefit of the doubt.

Profile Agreement
The script compares the valid Supertrend profile directions.
Agreement Score ranges from about -100 to +100:
- +100 means all valid profiles are upward.
- -100 means all valid profiles are downward.
- near 0 means profiles are mixed.
Agreement requires the base profile to be valid and at least two valid profiles to be available. A single valid profile is not treated as profile agreement.

Boundary Distance
The base Supertrend boundary is used as the active boundary.

Transition Pressure describes proximity to the active Supertrend boundary.
It is calculated from the distance to the boundary and the selected pressure ATR window.
A higher value means price is closer to the active boundary.
This does not tell users what will happen next. It only describes proximity to the active boundary.
Flip Age
Flip Age counts how many bars have passed since the base profile last changed direction.
This helps users see how long the current base structure has persisted.
Boundary Touch Context
A boundary touch is observed when price touches or approaches the active Supertrend boundary within the selected ATR tolerance.
The script tracks Boundary touch age.
The touch event is rising-edge based, so it does not repeatedly fire every bar while price stays near the boundary.
Flip Cascade Context
The script tracks whether fast, base, and slow profiles have recently changed into the same current base direction within the selected cascade lookback.

Volume Profile Supertrend [HexaTrades]Volume Profile Supertrend re-imagines the classic Supertrend. Instead of trailing bands built from pure volatility (ATR), it builds them around the levels where real volume has traded the Point of Control and Value Area.
The philosophy is simple: a normal Supertrend follows volatility; this one follows where the market accepts value. Price tends to gravitate to, and trend away from, the zones where the most business gets done. By anchoring the trend engine to value migration, the indicator aims to stay on the right side of the move while filtering out a portion of low-quality volatility noise.
Everything is computed internally in Pine; no built-in Volume Profile tool is used, so it works on any symbol and timeframe that has volume.
💡How it works
1. Rolling Volume Profile:
It looks back over the last Profile Lookback bars, finds the high–low range, and divides it into Number of Rows price buckets. Every historical bar's volume is distributed across the buckets its range spans, producing a fresh volume distribution on every candle.
2. POC, VAH & VAL:
POC (Point of Control) : the price bucket with the highest traded volume (the "fairest price").
Value Area: the script expands outward from the POC until it captures the chosen Value Area % (default 70%) of total volume.
VAH / VAL: the upper and lower edges of that Value Area.
3. Smoothing & Supertrend bands:
POC, VAH, and VAL are smoothed with EMAs to remove jitter. Two trailing bands are then built, exactly like a Supertrend:
Lower band = smoothed VAL − (ATR × buffer) → support used while bullish.
Upper band = smoothed VAH + (ATR × buffer) → resistance used while bearish.
The bands only trail in the trend-following direction, so they lock in as the price advances.
4. Trend flip:
The trend is bullish while price holds above the lower band, and flips bearish when price closes below it (and vice-versa). The flip is evaluated against the previous bar's confirmed bands, so closed candles never change.

🔶Bullish:A green line sits below the price. The market is accepting a higher value; treat pullbacks toward the line as the trend "breathing." A flip to red is your warning.

Every standard SuperTrend applies the same ATR multiplier across all market conditions — the same constant during a strong trending breakout, a narrow choppy range, and a volatility spike. A value calibrated for one regime is miscalibrated for the others. Most traders compensate by manually switching timeframes or parameters. This script automates that decision.
The question it asks: what if the ATR multiplier were selected from historical bars that most resembled the current market regime — matched by Hurst state and volatility rank — rather than set by the user as a fixed constant?

Layer 1 — Hurst Exponent (Regime Gate)
The Hurst Exponent is computed via Rescaled Range (R/S) Analysis. It measures the degree of long-range dependence (memory) in the price series:
H ≥ 0.55 → Persistent (trending) — SuperTrend active, signals enabled
H ≈ 0.50 → Random walk — candles turn gray, no signal generated
H ≤ 0.45 → Anti-persistent (mean-reverting) — signals suppressed
The Hurst gate is the first filter. Signals only fire when market structure is historically associated with persistence — not randomness or mean-reversion.
Layer 2 — Garman-Klass Volatility Rank
Garman-Klass (1980) estimates realized volatility from OHLC prices rather than close-to-close returns, capturing intrabar price range and making it more sensitive to volatility changes. The current reading is percentile-ranked against recent history (0–100%) and used as the second feature dimension for the KNN search.
Layer 3 — KNN Multiplier Optimizer
K-Nearest Neighbors searches a rolling memory bank of feature pairs from previous bars. For each current bar it finds the K most similar historical bars by Euclidean distance in that 2D feature space. From those neighbors it retrieves the ATR multipliers that were in effect — weighted by the profitability of the bar that followed. The result is the AI Multiplier: a context-aware value drawn from the most similar past conditions, not a fixed constant.

Modern Adaptive Supertrend [GBB]Modern Adaptive Supertrend
Supertrend is probably the most copied trend indicator on PulseWire. Most of the copies inherit the same handful of weaknesses so this is my attempt to fix the ones worth fixing, test the result properly, and be straight about the fix that didn't pan out.
If you have used the classic Supertrend you already know the idea. It is a volatility-based trailing line. It sits below price in an uptrend, above price in a downtrend, and it flips when price closes through it. Simple, fast to read, works on any chart. That simplicity is why it spread everywhere, and it is also where the trouble starts.
WHAT GOES WRONG WITH THE CLASSIC VERSION
Three things. The distance from price never adapts, so a clean trend and a sideways mess get treated exactly the same. The lookback never changes speed. And it flips on a single touch, so one wick through the line flips your bias and the next bar flips it back. That last one is the whipsaw everyone complains about. Run the classic as an always-in system on the 1h or below and in my testing it bleeds out. It only really holds up at 4h and above, where the trends are big enough to pay for all the flipping.
WHAT THIS VERSION DOES DIFFERENTLY
Two changes that work (and one that didn't but I left in place for you to experiment with)
The commit filter . This is the one that did the real work. Instead of flipping the moment price tags the line, price now has to close past it by a margin, about half an ATR by default, and optionally hold for a bar before the flip counts. That single change cut false flips by roughly 60% across the timeframes I tested. Same trend read, far less noise.
The adaptive distance . The band widens when the market is trending cleanly so it holds the move instead of shaking you out, and it also widens in chop, because a tight band in a range is a whipsaw machine. The only place it tightens is the transition, when a new move is just starting and you actually want it responsive. It judges trend versus chop against the market's own recent behaviour rather than a fixed threshold, because fixed thresholds do not travel well on crypto. I found that out the hard way.
The one that didn't work . I also built an adaptive lookback that was meant to let the indicator change speed with the market's rhythm. It added nothing. On crypto the rhythm turned out stable enough that adaptive just gave me a slower copy of the same line. It is still in the settings as an experimental toggle, switched off by default. Maybe you can find a tweak to make this feature work? If yes send me a DM :-)
One thing to be clear about before the settings. This is a trend filter, not a trading system. On raw direction it is right about 48% of the time, which is a coin flip, because Supertrend follows trend, it does not predict it. The value is in a cleaner trend read and lower drawdown, not in calling tops and bottoms. More on that at the bottom.
SETTINGS
Preset
Classic, Modern, or Custom. Classic is the textbook indicator, unchanged, so you can put it side by side. Modern is the default and what I recommend. It is timeframe aware: on 1h and below it runs both the adaptive distance and the commit filter, and above 1h it runs the commit filter only, because the adaptive distance did not add anything at higher timeframes in testing. Custom lets you toggle the layers yourself.
Commit filter (hysteresis)
- Commit buffer: how far past the line price has to close before a flip counts, measured in ATR. Default 0.5. Higher means fewer flips and slower turns.
- Persistence: how many closed bars the break has to hold before it flips. Default 1.
Adaptive distance (regime multiplier)
- Trend gain: how much wider the band gets in a clean trend. Default 0.8.
- Chop gain: how much wider it gets in a range. Default 0.5.
- Percentile window: how much recent history it uses to judge trend versus chop. Default 500 bars. Shorter reacts faster but is jumpier.
Adaptive period (experimental, off by default)
Turns on the adaptive lookback described above, with min and max clamps on the range. The defaults are in there, but as I said, it did not improve results. Leave it off unless you want to poke at it yourself.
Classic settings
ATR period and multiplier. Used by the Classic preset and as the base the other layers build on. Defaults 10 and 3.
Display
Direction-coloured line, an optional fill between price and the line, and flip markers. There is also an optional regime readout that shows whether the engine currently sees trend or chop. Off by default to keep the chart clean. Turn it on if you want to see what it is "thinking".
Alerts
Separate flip-up and flip-down conditions, plus an optional JSON payload if you want to wire it into a webhook.
HOW TO USE IT
As one input, not the whole decision. It answers a single question, which way is the trend leaning right now, with less noise than the classic gives you. It does not tell you where to enter or where price goes next. Use it to set your bias, then bring your own levels, structure, or entry trigger for the rest. Treating a trend filter as an entry system is how people lose money with a tool that is working exactly as designed.

The chart's candlesticks are dynamically colored using a visual gradient. The script measures the normalized distance of the closing price from the trendline. When price is near the trendline, candles assume a neutral slate-blue tone. As momentum carries price further away, the color interpolates into bright Cyan (Bullish) or Magenta (Bearish), immediately illustrating trend strength.
• Cloud Fill
A semi-transparent cloud is drawn between the primary trendline and a smoothed moving average of the typical price. This creates a visual "value zone" on the chart, helping users quickly identify the spatial relationship between the current trend anchor and the smoothed price core.
• HUD Dashboard
A comprehensive heads-up display is positioned in the top-right corner of the chart. It outputs real-time diagnostic data:
- Direction: Displays the current structural bias (Bullish/Bearish).
- Signal: Indicates if an actionable Buy or Sell signal is present.
- Override: Shows the status of the Breakout Override (Off, Nominal, or Engaged in Orange).

When a directional flip occurs and the matrix conditions are met, explicit "BUY" (Upward pointing, subtle green) or "SELL" (Downward pointing, subtle red) labels are plotted precisely at the trendline level.
• Non-Standard Chart Warning
If the user applies the script to Heikin Ashi, Renko, Line Break, Kagi, or Point & Figure charts, a bold Red warning table will appear in the top-left corner. This warns the user that standard signals may repaint due to the synthetic price data of non-standard charts.

• Identifying Entries
Wait for a clear crossover of the closing price over the dynamic trendline. For a valid entry, ensure the HUD Dashboard confirms the matrix conditions are "Active" and not "Flat." The emergence of a defined BUY or SELL label serves as the primary action trigger.
• Managing the Trade
Once in a position, the dynamic trendline serves as a logical trailing stop-loss level. As the trendline steps in the direction of the trade, users can manually trail their risk. The color gradient on the bars provides a secondary gauge; fading colors suggest weakening momentum and a potential reversion to the mean.
• Regime Awareness
Monitor the VF Regime status on the dashboard. In "Alpha" or "Beta" (lower volatility), expect tighter bands and slower movements. In "Gamma" or "Delta" (extreme volatility), be prepared for wider stops and aggressive price action. The indicator will automatically handle the mathematical adjustments, but position sizing should reflect the increased environmental risk.
• Repaint Warning Note
Always utilize this indicator on standard candlestick or bar charts. The underlying calculations depend on absolute close, high, and low values. Applying this to Heikin Ashi will cause lookahead bias and repainting signals.
🏆 Golden Rule — Before You Trade This Indicator:
Never rely on the default settings, every asset behaves differently. Every timeframe has its own rhythm. Default settings are a starting point — not a strategy.
The best configuration is the one you build yourself, through deliberate testing:
Adjust the settings methodically until false signals are minimized and entry/exit accuracy is maximized.
Test on your specific asset. Test on your specific timeframe. Then lock in what works.

### What it is
A Supertrend rebuilt to fix the three things that frustrate everyone who uses the
plain version, and to tell you **how trustworthy each trend flip is** before you act
on it. A classic Supertrend uses a **fixed ATR multiplier** (an arbitrary guess that
whipsaws in volatile markets and lags in calm ones), it **flips on noise** (every
marginal poke through the band reverses it), and it gives you **no sense of quality**
(a great flip and a junk flip look identical). ST ARC addresses all three, then
scores every flip 0–100 and — crucially — **calibrates that score to what actually
happened on this symbol**, so the number is accountable rather than decorative.
It runs on **any symbol, asset class, timeframe and market**. The raw data source
and every optional feed are user-selectable; nothing is hard-coded to a market.
### Why these components are combined (mashup rationale)
Each layer removes one specific, nameable failure of the plain Supertrend and feeds
the next — none is decorative:
1. **Adaptive multiplier** — the band width is no longer fixed. The ATR multiplier
becomes a series that scales with a **volatility rank** (how high current ATR
sits versus its own recent history): wider when volatility is high to cut
whipsaw, tighter when calm, and wider still when trend **efficiency** is low
(choppy tape). The ATR *length* can also adapt to the measured dominant cycle.
2. **Confirmation gate (de-whipsaw)** — a raw flip is only **confirmed** when the
close breaches the prior band by a minimum fraction of ATR *and* a minimum number
of bars have passed since the last flip, evaluated on closed bars
(non-repainting). This fixes the "flips on noise" problem.
3. **Regime classifier** — efficiency ratio + trend strength + a volatility-cluster
measure label the market Trend / Range / Volatile, so flips are trusted or
discounted by context.
4. **Multi-timeframe agreement** — three higher-timeframe Supertrends (multiples of
your chart timeframe) are read with no repainting and counted for agreement; a
signal that all higher timeframes oppose can be vetoed.
5. **Flip-strength score + conviction with hard vetoes** — at each flip a 0–100
strength is built from breach depth, trend strength, efficiency, MTF agreement,
regime alignment, volume thrust and volume delta, then gated by hard vetoes
(volatility spike, higher timeframes opposed, a fresh flip inside a chop regime,
cross-asset conflict). The output is one verdict plus a strength grade.
Remove any single layer and a specific Supertrend failure returns — that is the
justification for combining them.
### How it is original
ST ARC keeps a **self-calibrating quality engine**. It records every confirmed flip
and, a fixed window later, checks whether price actually ran a **favourable target
(measured in ATR)** in the flip's direction — i.e. whether the trade *worked*, not
merely whether the line avoided re-flipping. From that it reports, on the dashboard
and on each flip label, the **realized win-rate of past flips at each strength tier**
on this very symbol, plus the average favourable excursion. It can even **auto-learn
the strength threshold** at which flips have historically met a target win-rate and
use that as the action filter. A stock Supertrend tells you nothing about the quality
of its own signals; this one is accountable to its own track record.
### What it plots
- A single **Supertrend line** on price, green up / red down, with the flip triangle
**colour-graded by strength** (strong = solid, weak = faded) and a small
**strength label** on each flip (score + grade).
- An optional **second, slower Supertrend** (thinner line, contrasting colour,
diamond markers) for fast/slow confluence, with a DUAL agreement readout.
- A compact **dashboard**: verdict, regime, direction, the live adaptive multiplier
and ATR length, the flip state with its strength and that tier's realized
win-rate, MTF agreement, the calibration stat, dominant cycle, a risk-based size
reference and any active veto.
### How to use it
1. Trade with the line: long bias while it is below price (green), short while above
(red). The line is a natural trailing stop.
2. Act on **confirmed flips** (the triangles), not raw touches, and weight them by
the **strength score** — strong flips in a Trend regime with higher-timeframe
agreement are the high-quality ones; weak flips in a chop regime are the ones to
skip.
3. Use the **conviction / strength gates** and any active **veto** as a filter; the
optional **auto-learned strength cutoff** suppresses the verdict on flips weaker
than the level that has historically met your target win-rate.
4. The size shown is an ATR-based reference for journaling, not an order.
5. Alerts cover confirmed flips, the conviction verdict, raw flips and the secondary
Supertrend.
### Settings (use on any asset / market)
- **Raw data source** — `hl2`, `hlc3`, `close`, `ohlc4`, or point it at **another
indicator's plot**. This is what lets it work on any instrument or on your own

A built-in Signal Profile lets you choose between Responsive, Balanced, and Selective behavior. This inverse relationship is not perfect on every bar, but over any meaningful sample it dominates. The toolkit reads TVC:DXY (US Dollar Index) daily data on every bar. Bull signals across all modules require a weak Dollar context (DXY close below open). Bear signals require a strong Dollar context. Psychological Price Levels -- Gold reacts consistently at $50 and $100 round numbers. Institutional orders cluster at $4,500, $4,550, $4,600, and similar levels. Structure Modules
03 EMA Inversion — Three EMAs (21, 55, 200) with ribbon fill. The indicator tracks Fair Value Gaps that form during trend moves. 10 S/R Zones — Builds support and resistance zones from volume-weighted pivot clustering. Nearby pivots are merged into zones. When price returns to a broken zone from the other side, it is flagged as a retest. Ghost zones keep broken levels visible with faded opacity. Star ratings provide a quick strength summary. 13 Session Range — Tracks the OHLC of Asia, London, and NY sessions in real time. A candle panel visualizes each session's range as a mini candlestick. 25% retracement lines for the London range identify the level where NY price action tends to react. H/M/L/O reference lines project key session levels forward. Regime classification analyzes the session structure pattern (e.g., London Partial Up, London Full Range). Asia sweep detection identifies whether the Asia high or low was taken during London. A stats table shows historical percentages for session behavior patterns.
15 Session Killzones — Draws boxes for Asia, London, NY AM, and NY PM killzone periods. When a killzone closes, its high and low are recorded as levels. These levels extend forward as dashed lines until price sweeps through them. Anticipation bars project the levels further for planning. When a sweep occurs, a detection label marks the bar. Session name labels identify each killzone box.
20 AlgoPath — Plots previous day high and low as horizontal lines. The equilibrium level (midpoint of PDH and PDL) is drawn as a dashed line. London session open and NY session open are drawn when each session begins. New day background shading marks the daily boundary. Whale candle detection flags abnormally large candles — those with body size exceeding a configurable ATR multiple — with session-colored labels showing the session name and exact time.
Volume and Correlation Modules
07 Minicharts — Displays Silver (XAG/USD), Dollar Index (DXY), and Gold Futures (GC1!) in a correlation panel. Each symbol shows EMA position (above/below). SMT (Smart Money Technique) divergence detection flags when Gold moves in the opposite direction to a correlated asset — a potential early warning of reversal.
14 Institutional Volume — Identifies accumulation and distribution phases using volume clustering analysis. When multiple high-volume candles with consistent directional bias appear within a lookback window, the indicator flags the zone. Climax volume detection identifies bars where volume × range reaches the highest level in the lookback period. Zone boxes mark the accumulation or distribution area on the chart.
21 Swing TPO — Builds Time Price Opportunity distributions anchored to swing points. The price range between swing pivots is divided into bins, and each TPO period assigns a letter to every visited bin. Gradient-colored boxes range from cool (low activity) to warm (high activity). The POC (Point of Control) line marks the highest-activity price. Psychological level detection flags when the POC lands near a $50/$100 round number.
22 VWAP — Dual-anchor Volume Weighted Average Price. The primary anchor resets on Session, Week, or Month boundaries. An optional second anchor provides a longer-term VWAP for confluence. Standard deviation bands at 1σ and 2σ show statistical extremes. Previous period VWAP, VAH (Value Area High), and VAL (Value Area Low) levels persist as reference lines with price labels. Band touch signals flag when price reaches the 2σ extreme. Slope direction indicates whether the VWAP is rising, falling, or flat.
How to Use
1. Open indicator settings. Under "Module Select," enable 1–2 modules.
2. Configure "Gold Settings" for session filtering, DXY, and psychological levels.
3. Apply to XAUUSD on your preferred intraday timeframe (5m–4h recommended).
4. Use the Style tab to show/hide individual signal shapes.
5. The module panel (top right) shows all 22 modules with the active one highlighted in gold.
Shared Infrastructure
Session Detection — Automatically identifies Asia (19:00–03:00 ET), London (03:00–09:00 ET), and New York (09:00–17:00 ET). Each module reads the current session for parameter adjustment and signal filtering.
DXY Feed — Pulls TVC:DXY daily open and close. Determines whether the Dollar is strengthening or weakening on the day. All modules use this for macro alignment.
ATR Normalization — All distance calculations (band widths, displacement thresholds, target projections) are normalized to the 14-period ATR. This ensures consistent behavior across timeframes and volatility regimes.
Psychological Level Engine — Configurable interval ($25, $50, or $100). Detects proximity to round numbers and flags signals near these levels with ★ markers. Multiple modules use this for confluence scoring.
Signal Bus — When any active module generates a Buy or Sell signal, it writes to a shared signal bus. The unified output shapes fire from this bus, providing a consistent visual regardless of which module produced the signal.
Module Panel — The top-right panel lists all 22 modules. The active module is highlighted in gold. Inactive modules are dimmed. Session, DXY, and daily range are displayed in the header and footer.

Module Select — 22 boolean toggles, one per module. Default: Module 01 ON, all others OFF.
