### Multi-Timeframe Bias
The indicator treats each timeframe according to its role in the market hierarchy:
**1D → Macro Bias**

This allows the indicator to distinguish between a genuine trend reversal and a simple lower-timeframe retracement.

### Reversal Detection

🎯 How To Trade It — Two Approaches
Everything hinges on one read the Matrix gives you at a glance: is higher-timeframe structure lining up, and is price being pulled toward unfilled liquidity?
◾ 1) Trade into confluence toward liquidity (the core thesis)
Use when a high-strength zone on a higher panel lines up with a resting liquidity pool in the same direction.
▪️ Scan the four panels for a strong OB or FVG (7+) on H1/H2/H4 sitting where price is heading.
▪️ Confirm a naked liquidity pool (BSL below / SSL above) as the magnet — the untested pools are where price is drawn.
▪️ Entry: as price reaches the higher-timeframe zone, in the direction of the unfilled liquidity beyond it.
▪️ Stop: beyond the zone; if price closes through and accepts, the level failed — stand aside.
▪️ Target: the nearest resting pool in your direction; the opposite-side pool if the move extends.
⚖️ The cleanest version: H1 and H2 panels both print a strong bull OB at the same area, a fat buy-side pool sits just below unconsumed, and the M30 panel shows price rotating down into it. What it is
Most "smart money" tools just spray BOS and CHoCH labels wherever price crosses a line. This one follows the actual process the method teaches, as an ordered sequence, and only signals when each step has happened in the right order. It is written from scratch; it implements widely-taught price-action concepts (liquidity, structure, displacement, SMT, killzones) rather than reusing anyone's code.
The sequence it trades
• Liquidity sweep — price raids an obvious swing high or low (where stops rest) and closes back inside. The failed raid, not the level itself, is the trigger. Sweeps are tagged, and the swept buy-side and sell-side liquidity are drawn and labelled.
• Market structure shift (MSS) — after the sweep, a displacement candle (a body larger than an ATR multiple) must break the short-term structure in the opposite direction. Structure is tracked one break per level: each swing can only produce one BOS or CHoCH, so the labels land exactly where the shift occurs instead of being repeated on every bar. This is the direct fix for the "random label" problem common to naive structure scripts.
• SMT divergence — an optional confluence filter. Set a correlated instrument and the tool checks whether that instrument confirms the sweep's new extreme. The indicator instantly detects shifts in market structure. When price breaks through previous lower highs or higher lows, it labels them as BOS (Break of Structure) to indicate trend continuation, or CHoCH (Change of Character) at points where the trend changes direction. These breakouts are the most fundamental Price Action components for understanding where the price wants to go.
2. Order Blocks and High-Probability Entries (Re-Tests)
When a BOS or CHoCH occurs, the indicator automatically draws "Order Block" zones, which highlight where the institutional volume that initiated the breakout is concentrated.
Why it matters: Order Blocks (OB) are areas where "smart money" enters the market with large volume. After these breakouts, price often retraces (re-tests) these zones to grab liquidity. Order Blocks — two detection methods
OBs are detected at the structural origin of the move that broke structure, not blindly at the last opposite candle. Two methods are exposed:
Structural Extreme (default, stricter) — scans backward inside the walk-back window and selects the most-extreme qualifying opposite-color candle. This is the cleaner output and the one you want on a working chart.
Last Opposite Candle — the simpler heuristic. Useful for comparison and for replicating the look of older SMC scripts.
Optional above-average-volume filtering, configurable mitigation rule (wick-touch vs close-through), per-side count cap (1–10), and a structural walk-back window let the OBs stay relevant instead of cluttering up old territory.
Fair Value Gaps — ATR-filtered
FVGs use the standard three-candle imbalance definition, but only register when the gap exceeds a configurable ATR multiple. This is the difference between a clean chart and a wallpaper of 1-tick gaps. Hard caps on count per side, optional extension bars, and an optional "keep mitigated FVGs faded" toggle (off by default to prevent accumulation) round out the controls.
JOAT enhancements (new vs every other SMC script)
Three concepts most public SMC scripts skip — implemented here as proper, gated layers:
Inversion FVGs (iFVG) — when an FVG is mitigated and the polarity flips within a configurable bar window, the gap is re-rendered with a multi-stop gradient so you can see the flipped zone. Off by default because it adds visual density; turn it on when you specifically want to read polarity flips.
Breaker Blocks — an OB that gets mitigated and then holds on the opposite side for a configurable bar count is re-tagged as a Breaker Block in its own palette color. This is one of the strongest re-entry concepts in SMC and almost never implemented correctly in public scripts.
Mitigation Block tag — the first OB created after a BOS is tagged "MB" so you can read which block carries the most structural significance.
Liquidity — equal highs / lows and real sweeps
Equal highs / lows are detected with an ATR-relative tolerance over a configurable scan depth. Liquidity sweeps are detected against actual structural pivots (the minor-pivot output, not a rolling ta.highest ) — so a sweep is registered when a wick punctures a recent pivot extreme and the bar closes back inside, which is what the term actually means in the textbook. A cooldown prevents double-prints of the same sweep.
Premium / Discount array
Two equilibrium methods:
AVWAP Equilibrium (default) — equilibrium is anchored to the most recent major structure event, so the PD array drifts with trend rather than re-anchoring on every minor pivot. This is the institutional read.
Range Midpoint — the classic 50% of the most recent major leg.
A toggleable multi-stop gradient render paints premium and discount as shaded regions instead of just lines. Configurable stop count keeps it tunable.
HTF context
Optional previous-day, previous-week, and previous-month H / L overlays in their own per-timeframe colours. Optional midpoint lines. When enabled, the HTF read also contributes to the confluence score — because no zone is really meaningful without HTF agreement.
Confluence Score (0–100)
Every order block carries an aggregate confluence score derived from:
Zone size relative to ATR
Displacement quality of the move that produced it
Volume on the originating bar relative to the rolling average
Overlap with active FVGs
(Optional) HTF level proximity
A "Hide zones below score" input lets you mute lower-quality blocks. A separate alert threshold fires when a zone above your minimum score is created. The score is also rendered into the confluence heatmap dashboard.
Dashboard (confluence heatmap)
A compact, monospaced table positionable to any of nine corners with a per-row vertical alpha gradient. Reads the current bias, nearest premium / discount zone, count of active OBs, count of active FVGs, and the highest confluence score on the chart. Background transparency is user-controlled so it never visually competes with structure.
How to read it
The intended workflow is structure-first, confluence-second. Wait for a BOS or MSS in the direction you want to trade. Look at the OB or breaker block at the origin of the move — its confluence score is your edge proxy. If the zone has an iFVG or active FVG overlap, the score will reflect it. HTF agreement (previous-day midpoint, previous-week high, etc.) is the final filter. Liquidity sweeps before the structural break are a particularly clean confluence — they indicate the move broke because liquidity was taken first.
Originality / what's reused
The SMC vocabulary (BOS, CHoCH, MSS, OB, FVG, premium/discount) is, of course, public-domain market-structure language. The implementations here — the adaptive ATR-confirmed pivot engine, the structural-extreme OB scan, the iFVG gradient render, the breaker block detection, the mitigation block tagging, the AVWAP-anchored PD array, the confluence-score aggregation, and the heatmap dashboard — are written from scratch and tuned together. No third-party code is reused.
Open source
Published open-source under the default Mozilla Public License 2.0. The source is fully readable: every helper function is documented inline, every input has a tooltip, and the file is sectioned with banner headers so you can navigate it like a textbook chapter. If you want to fork it, please keep the credit and please make it materially better — that is what open-source SMC actually needs.
Limitations
SMC is a structural read, not a signal generator — Quant SMC Pro does not print buy/sell labels. It prints zones and structure; you decide the entry. Equal H/L detection and structural sweeps rely on minor-pivot output, so on very illiquid instruments those layers may be sparse. Confluence scoring is heuristic by definition — it ranks zones by features that historically correlated with significance; it does not predict reactions.

Bullish BOS: price closes above the last confirmed swing high — signals trend continuation to the upside.
Bearish BOS: price closes below the last confirmed swing low — signals
trend continuation to the downside.
BOS labels appear directly on the chart at the point of the break.
ENGINE 3 — CHANGE OF CHARACTER (CHoCH)
A Change of Character is a reversal signal — the first indication that the current trend may be ending and a new one beginning. It is the most important signal in Smart Money analysis.
Bullish CHoCH: in a confirmed downtrend (lower highs, lower lows), price breaks above a recent lower high for the first time — this signals a potential reversal to the upside.
Bearish CHoCH: in a confirmed uptrend (higher highs, higher lows), price breaks below a recent higher low for the first time — this signals a potential reversal to the downside.
CHoCH labels are clearly marked on the chart and distinguished from BOS.
ENGINE 4 — FAIR VALUE GAP (FVG)
Fair Value Gaps are imbalance zones left behind by aggressive institutional buying or selling. Price frequently returns to these zones to rebalance before continuing in the original direction.
Bullish FVG: a gap between the high of the candle two bars ago and the low of the current candle — shown as a teal shaded zone.

Before looking at any signal, check the dashboard. Confirm Market Bias, Structure, and EMA Stack all point in the same direction. Trade only when at least two of the three agree.
Step 2 — Identify the Trend Lines
Watch where the major trend lines are relative to current price. The support line (teal/blue) and resistance line (red) define your trading range and structural boundaries.
Step 3 — Wait for SMC Confluence
Before entering on a trend line touch, check whether a CHoCH has recently occurred in your direction. A CHoCH near a trend line is one of the highest-probability setups this indicator generates.
Step 4 — Watch for FVG Zones
If a Fair Value Gap is present near the trend line, this adds further confluence. Institutional traders frequently use FVG zones as entry triggers.

Most liquidity indicators show you levels. They draw a box where a swing high or low formed and wait for price to return. They do not tell you whether the return matters. Shark Hunt works differently.
It does not just detect liquidity zones. It hunts what happens at them — mechanically, bar by bar, through a multi-layer confirmation engine that evaluates wick penetration, volume, rejection strength, and optional pattern confluence before a signal fires. Every condition has a purpose. Every filter reflects something that institutional order flow actually leaves behind.

2. How zones are built
Shark Hunt detects liquidity pools at confirmed swing highs and lows using a pivot-based engine. Every zone is scored at the moment of formation using a composite impulse quality score — a weighted combination of body strength, volume relative to average, and bar range relative to ATR. Higher scores mean the move away from the zone was more decisive. When two zones form too close together, the weaker one is removed. Only the more significant level survives.
Zone significance is configurable in three modes:
-Scalp
Short pivot lookback. More zones formed, closer to current price. Suited for fast timeframes and intraday scalp setups.
-Intermediate
Balanced detection. A practical default across most instruments and timeframes.
-Major
Extended pivot lookback. Only the most significant structural levels qualify. Fewer zones, higher conviction per zone.
Each zone extends to the right in real time. A stats label shows the percentage of touches where price held without sweeping — the hold rate — and the estimated liquidity value at the formation bar, calculated as volume multiplied by price. These two numbers tell you how historically respected a zone is and how much institutional interest was present when it formed.
When price closes decisively through a zone, the zone flip logic converts it to the opposite side. A broken demand zone becomes supply. A broken supply zone becomes demand. This mirrors how smart money re-uses levels.
3. Sweep confirmation
A sweep fires only when all enabled conditions are satisfied on the same bar at close.
Wick penetration
The wick must break through the zone boundary by at least a configurable percentage of price. This filters grazes from genuine stop hunts. At 0.05%, small but intentional penetrations qualify. At 0.2% and above, only decisive spikes are counted.
Volume confirmation
The sweep bar must have volume at or above a configurable multiple of the rolling average. Institutional sweeps require size to move price and collect stops. A sweep on below-average volume is usually noise. This filter is toggleable.
Wick rejection
The wick that swept the zone must represent a minimum percentage of the bar's total range. A high rejection percentage means the bar closed far from its sweep extreme — price was pushed back hard. A low percentage means price drifted through and kept going. This filter is toggleable.
Pattern confirmation gates
Three optional gates can be added on top of the base sweep conditions:
- Require Price Failure (SFP): the sweep bar must also close back inside a recent pivot. Stop hunt confirmed by structure.
- Require Wick Trap: the sweeping wick must be at least twice the body size and larger than half an ATR. Pin-bar quality required.
- Require Absorption Bar: the sweep bar must fully engulf the previous candle. One-sided institutional commitment on the sweep itself.
Each gate is independent. Any combination can be active simultaneously. When all three are off, the base filters apply. When one or more are on, they stack as AND conditions — all must pass.
A cooldown setting prevents duplicate signals on the same level by requiring a minimum number of bars between confirmed sweeps.
When a sweep confirms, the zone is marked as swept and fades. A trade block is drawn showing the SL zone and TP zone based on the configured stop loss mode and RR ratio.
4. Price patterns
Five independent price pattern detections run continuously alongside the zone engine. Each can be toggled on or off.
-Price imbalances
Three-candle gaps where price moved too fast for two-sided trading. The gap between the first and third candle is visible as a small filled box. These areas act as magnets — price tends to return. A bull imbalance forms when a bullish candle leaves a gap above. A bear imbalance forms the same way in the opposite direction.
-Absorption bars
A candle that fully engulfs the previous candle in body. The current bar opened inside the prior bar's body and closed beyond it on the opposite side. This shows one side overpowering the other in a single bar — a sign of directional commitment. Marked with a small dot above or below the bar.
-Price failures
A bar that breaks a recent swing pivot with its wick but closes back inside. The market attempted a breakout, ran the stops beyond the pivot, then reversed. This is the mechanical signature of an institutional stop hunt at a structural level. Marked with a clean "F" label in bull or bear color.
-Level break and retest
When price closes through a recent pivot level and then returns to test it from the other side, a retest marker fires. Broken resistance retested as support, and vice versa. The cross marker appears at the retest bar.
-Wick traps
Candles with a wick at least twice the body size and larger than half an ATR. These mark areas of strong rejection. When a wick trap appears at or near a zone, it adds weight to the setup. Marked with a directional arrow.
5. Trade block
When a zone sweep confirms, a trade block is drawn from the signal bar forward. It shows the SL zone in red and the TP zone above or below entry.
Two stop loss modes are available:
-Zone mode
The stop is placed at the zone boundary plus a configurable ATR buffer. Consistent across setups — the SL is anchored to the structural level that defined the zone.
-Wick mode
The stop is placed at the deepest point of the sweep wick plus a configurable ATR buffer. Tighter, and closer to the actual sweep extreme. Can vary significantly bar to bar depending on wick size.
The RR ratio scales the TP distance as a multiple of the SL distance. At 1.0, TP equals SL distance — a 1:1 setup. At 2.0, TP is twice the SL distance. The trade block width in bars is configurable.
The backtest engine runs alongside the live chart. Every confirmed signal is tracked. When TP or SL is reached, the result is recorded as positive or negative R and accumulated in the dashboard.
6. Dashboard
The dashboard is displayed in a configurable position at tiny, small, or normal size.
It shows:
- Active mode: Sweep — on or off. Failure — on or off. Immediately visible at a glance.
- Depth: the current zone significance setting.
- Bull liquidity: number of active bull zones, with fresh zone count.
- Bear liquidity: same for bear zones.
- ATR: current ATR value for the active calculation period.
- Trades, longs, shorts, wins, losses, win rate: cumulative signal statistics.
- Total PnL in R: cumulative result across all signals.
- Expected value in R: average result per trade.
Mode colors are active throughout. In zone sweep mode, bull elements appear in fluor green. In failure entry mode, everything bull switches to fluor cyan. Bear elements remain in fluor red in both modes. The mode switch is visible across every element on the chart — zones, candles, markers, trade blocks, and the dashboard simultaneously.
7. Neon glow
Two independent glow systems are available under the Visuals section.
Neon glow candles
Three stacked plotcandle layers render the candles in fluor color with a soft outer glow. Body transparency and wick and border transparency are separately adjustable — softer body, harder wicks gives the most readable result. Two glow layers control the diffuse outer glow and the inner primary glow independently.
For best results: open chart settings, go to the Style tab, and set the default candle body, border, and wick to fully transparent. This removes the standard PulseWire candle rendering and lets only the glow candles show.
Neon glow zones
Four stacked box layers per zone produce a layered neon glow from the zone boundary outward. A single Zone Glow Strength slider controls all layers simultaneously — lower values produce a more intense neon effect, higher values produce a softer ambient glow.
Both systems work in both modes. When failure entry mode is active, the glow shifts to fluor cyan for all bull elements.
8. ⚡ The Failure Entry engine — the Bonus 🦈
Zone sweeps are the core of Shark Hunt. But not every institutional move starts at a marked level.
Sometimes price sweeps a structural pivot that has no zone drawn on it — a recent swing high or low that formed mid-session, between established zones. The move is decisive: a wick beyond the pivot, a close back inside, and price accelerating in the opposite direction. These are swing failure patterns. They are one of the cleanest institutional signatures available — a stop hunt at a structural level, confirmed by the bar's own price action.
The Failure Entry engine is a fully independent system inside Shark Hunt, built specifically to detect and trade these setups.
When Failure Entry mode is enabled, the zone sweep signal system is suspended. Zones remain on the chart as structural context — they often align with logical TP levels for failure trades. But entries come only from the failure engine.
The failure engine uses its own pivot lookback, separate from the zone detection engine. A dedicated wick size filter measured in ATR is the primary quality gate — it controls how large the failure wick must be relative to current volatility. Small values allow minor structural failures. Larger values require significant spike reversals. This is the primary lever for tightening or loosening signal quality.
A separate wick rejection percentage filter ensures the sweep bar closed convincingly away from its extreme. Volume confirmation with its own multiplier can be applied independently. A cooldown prevents duplicate signals on the same pivot.
The failure engine has its own trade block: fluor cyan for TP, fluor red for SL. The SL can be placed at the wick tip or at the pivot level itself, each with its own ATR buffer. The RR ratio and block width are independently configurable.
Performance is tracked separately. The failure PnL, win rate, and expected value accumulate in their own records and are reflected in the total dashboard figures. Every failure trade contributes to the overall session result.
Enabling failure entry mode changes the entire visual environment. All bull elements — zones, candles, markers, trade blocks — switch from fluor green to fluor cyan. The mode status rows in the dashboard confirm what is active at a glance. Switching modes is one toggle. The chart responds immediately across every element.
The failure engine is not a replacement for the zone sweep system. It is a complementary tool for catching institutional moves that do not begin at a pre-mapped level. Used in combination with the zone context still visible on the chart, it gives Shark Hunt coverage of both types of setup — the anticipated sweep at a known level, and the opportunistic reversal at an unmarked pivot.

10. How to use
10.1 Initial setup
1. Set zone significance to match your timeframe. Major works well on 3m and 15m as a starting point.
2. Enable the filters you want active. Volume confirmation and wick rejection are on by default — these are the minimum recommended filters.
3. Set your RR ratio. The default of 1.0 is conservative. Adjust based on your own risk management rules.
4. Decide whether to use zone mode or failure entry mode. Both can be tested and compared using the dashboard statistics.
5. If you want neon glow rendering, set default chart candles to transparent first, then enable the glow toggles.
10.2 Reading the chart
Zones in fluor green are bull liquidity pools — unfilled stop clusters below recent swing lows. Zones in fluor red are bear liquidity pools above swing highs. The opacity and label show how historically respected each zone is.
When price approaches a zone, watch the sweep confirmation criteria. A qualifying bar at close triggers the signal and draws the trade block.
"F" labels mark price failure patterns. When an F appears near a zone boundary, it strengthens the setup. A price failure at a liquidity zone is the clearest confluence available in Shark Hunt — a structural stop hunt confirmed by both the zone engine and the failure pattern simultaneously.
Imbalance boxes, absorption dots, retest crosses, and wick trap arrows all provide additional context. None of them are trade signals by themselves. They are confluence indicators — the more of them align with a zone sweep, the higher the contextual quality of the setup.
10.3 Illustrative bull scenario
Educational example only. Not a trading recommendation.
A swing low forms with strong impulse score. A bull liquidity zone is drawn below it, showing 100% hold and a high liquidity value. Several bars later, price dips into the zone with a sharp wick on elevated volume. The wick is larger than the body, covering more than 25% of the bar range. The bar closes above the zone boundary. A fluor green triangle fires below the bar. The trade block appears showing the TP zone above and the SL zone below. An "F" label also appears on the same bar — the zone sweep and the price failure both confirmed simultaneously.
10.4 Illustrative bear scenario
Educational example only. Not a trading recommendation.
Price rallies into a bear liquidity zone marked from a prior swing high. The approach candle is an absorption bar — a dot appears above it. On the next bar, a sharp spike above the zone on high volume forms a wick that covers more than 25% of the bar range, closing back below the zone top. The sweep confirms. A fluor red triangle fires above the bar. The trade block drops from entry to the TP target below. A wick trap arrow also marks the same bar — strong institutional rejection at a known supply level.
10.5 Using failure entry mode
Enable failure entry mode when you want to trade swing failure patterns without requiring a pre-mapped zone.
The zone boundaries remain on the chart. Use them as context. A failure trade that targets a nearby bull or bear zone as its TP has structural justification for the exit level.
The min failure wick (ATR) setting is the primary quality control. Start at 0.4. If you see too many minor failures firing, raise it. If the engine is missing moves you can see visually, lower it.
The dashboard will show failure-specific statistics. Compare the failure win rate and expected value to the zone sweep statistics. Over time, this data tells you which setup type performs better on your instrument and timeframe.
10.6 Timeframe guide
- 1m–2m: scalp depth, loose filters, high zone count, failure mode useful
- 3m–5m: recommended default settings, both engines perform well
- 15m: major depth, tighter wick penetration, fewer but higher quality setups
- 30m and above: increase pivot lookback for both zone and failure engines
11. Tip
The zone hold percentage is information. A zone with 0% hold has been swept every time price visited it. That is a weak zone — it may not hold the next time either. A zone at 95% hold has defended itself repeatedly. That is a level with a track record.
Volume confirmation is your noise filter. On most instruments, genuine institutional sweeps show up on volume. A sweep on below-average volume is usually a retail move or a thin-market spike. Keep volume confirmation on unless your instrument has unreliable volume data.
The pattern confirmation gates stack. Requiring price failure, wick trap, and absorption simultaneously will produce very few signals — but the ones that fire will have three independent confirmations in addition to the base sweep conditions. Use the gates selectively based on how many signals your timeframe normally generates.
Zone glow and candle glow are independent. You can use zone glow without candle glow, or both together. The neon rendering is a visual choice — it does not affect signal logic.
Failure mode changes everything visually. When you enable it, the entire chart shifts to fluor cyan for bull elements. This is intentional — it makes the mode switch obvious. There is no ambiguity about which engine is active.
The dashboard expected value is the most useful long-term metric. A positive expected value means the average signal generates profit over time. A negative value means the current settings lose on average even if the win rate looks reasonable. Track it across sessions to validate your configuration.

The problem Market Phase Detector solves is context. Trend-following entries during range conditions produce whipsaws. Mean-reversion entries during strong trending moves produce losses against the dominant flow. Knowing the regime before interpreting any other signal improves the relevance of every decision made from it. Market Phase Detector makes that determination automatically, updates it bar by bar, and visualizes both the current regime and every structural event that contributed to it — including labeled BOS and CHoCH events with horizontal level lines, live swing extension lines at the right edge, and an institutional-grade dashboard.
Core Concepts
1. Swing Detection and Pivot Tracking
Price structure is derived from pivot highs and lows confirmed using ta.pivothigh() and ta.pivotlow() with a configurable symmetric lookback. The lookback controls sensitivity — a value of 5 requires 5 bars on each side of the pivot to confirm it, producing only the most structurally significant swings. Each confirmed pivot updates the tracked level and resets its broken flag to allow new break detection on the next cycle:

2. Break of Structure vs Change of Character
Two structural event types are distinguished and tracked independently. A Break of Structure (BOS) occurs when price closes through the previous swing extreme in the same direction as the current structural bias — confirming continuation. A Change of Character (CHoCH) occurs when price closes through the previous swing extreme against the current structural bias — signaling a potential regime flip:

Every event is labeled directly on the chart with a horizontal line at the break level and a text label (BOS +, BOS -, CHoCH +, CHoCH -). Running counts of each type are tracked and displayed in the dashboard.
3. Three-Factor Regime Gate
The regime classification evaluates all three inputs simultaneously before assigning a state. Structure bias is set by BOS and CHoCH events. The volatility gate compares current ATR to a moving average of ATR multiplied by a contraction threshold — when ATR falls below this level the market is classified as compressed and the regime defaults to Range regardless of structure or momentum. Momentum uses a smoothed rate-of-change that must confirm the structural direction:

A confidence score (1-3) counts how many of the three factors currently agree and is displayed in the dashboard, allowing the trader to distinguish a fully confirmed 3/3 regime from a weaker 2/3 reading.
4. Swing Level Extension Lines
The current unbroken swing high and swing low are extended as dotted horizontal lines to the right edge of the chart with price labels. These serve as the nearest structural reference levels — the next points where a BOS or CHoCH could occur. They are deleted and redrawn each bar using barstate.islast so they remain current without consuming the indicator's line budget:

How to Use This Indicator
Step 1: Read the Current Regime
Check the REGIME row in the dashboard. BULLISH, BEARISH, or RANGE appears in its corresponding color. This is the primary output. Use it to establish directional bias before consulting any other signal source.
Step 2: Check Confidence Score
The Confidence row shows how many of the three inputs align (e.g., 2/3). A 3/3 reading means structure, volatility, and momentum all agree. A 2/3 reading means one factor is diverging. Weight directional decisions higher during full 3/3 alignment.
Step 3: Monitor CHoCH Events
Each CHoCH label marks a structural break against the current bias — a warning that the regime may be shifting. When a CHoCH appears, watch whether subsequent bars confirm a new opposing BOS or whether the previous regime resumes.
Step 4: Use Swing Extension Lines as Forward Reference
The dotted right-edge lines mark the current unbroken swing levels — the nearest structural break zones. Knowing how close price is to these levels frames where the next BOS or CHoCH could occur.
Step 5: Apply Regime as a Filter
Market Phase Detector is designed as a context layer, not a standalone signal generator. Apply the regime output as a filter to your existing tools: only take long signals when the regime is Bullish, only take short signals when Bearish, and step aside or apply mean-reversion logic when Range is active.
Indicator Limitations
Pivot detection confirms swingLen bars after the pivot forms, creating a natural offset between the candle where the swing occurred and when it is labeled. This is intentional non-repainting behavior
The volatility gate may temporarily classify a new trend as Range immediately after a volatility expansion if ATR has not yet risen above the threshold. This resolves within a few bars as ATR normalizes
In slow, grinding markets, momentum may repeatedly lag structure, resulting in extended Range readings during mild trends
Market Phase Detector classifies current market state. It does not predict future price direction or generate entry/exit signals

The first structure engine identifies pivot highs and pivot lows using a configurable pivot length. Once a pivot is established, the script monitors whether the price breaks above the active high or below the active low.
A break above the tracked high triggers a bullish structural event.

⚪ Adaptive Average Core
At the center of the indicator is a dynamic average that adjusts its response speed using structure activity.
The script converts BOS events into a directional impulse:
bullish BOS → positive impulse
bearish BOS → negative impulse
This impulse is smoothed into:
bosAct = activity strength
bosBias = directional pressure
Those values control how quickly the average reacts and how strongly it gets pushed in the active structure direction. When the structure activity is quiet, the average behaves more slowly. When structure becomes active, it accelerates and leans into the prevailing directional break.

This produces a trend line that is both smoother than the raw price and more structurally aware than a standard moving average.
⚪ Multi-Speed Internal Average Stack
The adaptive average is not built from just one line. Internally, the script calculates five related adaptive components using different multipliers, creating a fast-to-slow response stack around the same structural core.
⚪ Structure Midpoint Anchoring
To keep the average tied to evolving market structure rather than drifting too freely with price, the script also uses the midpoint between the current active structure high and low as an anchor.
This midpoint acts as a stabilizing force. When the structure is well-defined, the internal averages are gently pulled back toward the structural center, helping the line remain more aligned with the active price framework.

⚪ Live High / Low Structure Strength Model
The second structure engine tracks broader live highs and lows using a separate pivot length. These are not plotted as static levels — the script scores them based on the sequence of BOS and ChoCH events generated by Structure Engine 1.
Weights used in the current code:
ChoCH = 1
BOS = 3
These points are accumulated into bullish and bearish buckets for both the live high and live low. The net values are then translated into simple strength labels:
Weak
Medium
Strong
This creates a live read on whether the current high is stronger resistance or the current low is stronger support.
So the indicator is not only tracking structure breaks, but also maintaining a running estimate of how structurally strong the current high and low levels are.
⚪ Directional Cloud Model
This version uses a layered cloud derived from the adaptive average.
The main adaptive line is b3. That line is smoothed and then compared to a short EMA reference of hlc3 to create intermediate cloud layers between the adaptive line and the reference line. This produces a graded visual zone that reflects both slope and price relationship.

⚪ Follow Trend Bias Through the Adaptive Average
Use the main adaptive line and cloud to quickly read market direction:
Bullish cloud + rising average → uptrend
Bearish cloud + falling average → downtrend
Flat, mixed, or narrow cloud → consolidation/indecision
Because the average reacts to structure (BOS/ChoCH) instead of just price movement, it tends to give a clearer trend read than standard moving averages, especially in structurally driven markets.
⚪ Use BOS / ChoCH for Regime Shifts
The BOS and ChoCH labels are useful for identifying when the structure is continuing versus when it is changing character.
ChoCH suggests a meaningful break against prior structure and may indicate an early regime shift.
BOS suggests continuation in the active structural direction
This makes the indicator useful not only for trend following but also for spotting when a prior directional assumption may be weakening.
⚪ Map Live Support and Resistance Strength
The live High / Low lines and their strength labels help frame the current structure map.
A Strong High suggests overhead resistance is being reinforced by bearish structure.
A Strong Low suggests support is being reinforced by bullish structure.
Weak readings suggest the level is less structurally defended.
This can be useful for filtering breakout expectations, fade setups, or risk placement around active market boundaries.

Fast Response Length – Controls how quickly the adaptive average reacts during active structure conditions. Lower values make the fast side of the average more responsive.
Slow Response Length – Controls the baseline smoothness of the adaptive average when structure activity is low. Higher values slow the line down and reduce noise.
BOS Directional Push – Adds directional pressure to the adaptive average using smoothed BOS bias and ATR. Higher values increase directional drift after structural confirmation.
Pivot Length (Structure Engine 1) – Defines how sensitive the BOS / ChoCH engine is. Lower values generate more structure events; higher values focus on broader swings.
Pivot Length (Structure Engine 2) – Defines the broader live high/low structure map. Higher values create more stable but less reactive levels.

The core idea: Fibonacci levels are only meaningful when drawn from the correct swing points. Most Fibonacci tools on PulseWire require manual drawing — you select the swing high and low, and the levels appear. The problem: selecting the wrong swing, forgetting to update after a new structure break, or drawing from a minor swing that doesn't reflect the current trend leg. This indicator solves all three: the Fibonacci anchors update automatically on every structure break, trail the live edge as price extends, and lock when a confirmed pivot arrives — always reflecting the most relevant swing for the current market structure.
🧩 WHY THESE COMPONENTS WORK TOGETHER
Fibonacci retracement levels alone are static S/R lines. Structure detection alone tells you trend direction. Engulfing patterns alone fire everywhere. Confluence scoring alone has nothing to score against.
This indicator chains them into a dependency pipeline:
ATR-filtered swing detection → HH/HL/LH/LL classification → BOS/CHoCH structure breaks → Fibonacci anchor from structure swing → Live edge trailing + pivot locking → Fib level calculation → Confluence scoring (price vs Fib levels) → Premium/Discount zone classification → Engulfing pattern detection in structural context → Entry signal with cooldown
The swing detection feeds the structure engine — without confirmed pivots, no BOS/CHoCH can fire. The structure breaks anchor the Fibonacci levels — without a break, there's no swing to draw from. The Fibonacci levels feed the confluence scorer — without levels, there's nothing to score proximity against. The confluence score plus the premium/discount zone filter the engulfing patterns — without context, engulfing patterns produce too many false entries. And the signal cooldown prevents clustering from this entire chain.
Removing the structure detection breaks the Fibonacci anchoring. Removing the ATR filter floods the structure with noise swings. Removing the confluence scoring allows entries at non-Fibonacci prices. Removing the premium/discount filter allows bullish entries in premium (where sells should occur). Each component eliminates a specific failure mode.
🔍 WHAT MAKES IT ORIGINAL
1️⃣ Structure-anchored Fibonacci with live edge trailing.
The Fibonacci engine uses a 4-phase lifecycle:
Phase 1 — Anchor on structure break: When a BOS or CHoCH is detected:
— Bullish break: top = current high (live, will trail), bottom = most recent swing low (locked)
— Bearish break: bottom = current low (live, will trail), top = most recent swing high (locked)
This instantly draws Fibonacci levels from the break point.
Phase 2 — Trail live edge: As price extends beyond the initial break, the live edge (top for bull, bottom for bear) updates to the new extreme. Fibonacci levels recalculate continuously to reflect the current move. This captures the full extent of the breakout without waiting for a pivot confirmation.
Phase 3 — Lock on pivot: When a confirmed swing high (for bullish trailing) or swing low (for bearish trailing) is detected by the pivot engine, the live edge locks to that confirmed pivot. The Fibonacci levels stop updating and represent the confirmed swing range.
Phase 4 — Update on new swings: When a new confirmed swing arrives that differs from the current locked anchor, the Fibonacci levels update to the new structure — always reflecting the most recent confirmed swing.
This lifecycle means the Fibonacci levels are always relevant: immediately reactive after a break (phases 1–2), then structurally confirmed once a pivot is detected (phases 3–4).
2️⃣ ATR-filtered pivot detection with noise suppression.
Standard ta.pivothigh/ta.pivotlow detects every local extreme, including minor fluctuations that don't represent real swing points. The ATR filter requires:
— For a swing high: the distance from the pivot high to the most recent swing low ≥ ATR × multiplier (default 0.5)
— For a swing low: the distance from the most recent swing high to the pivot low ≥ ATR × multiplier
This ensures only swings of meaningful size (relative to current volatility) are used for structure detection and Fibonacci anchoring. The multiplier is configurable: lower (0.2–0.3) for more granular structure, higher (0.8–1.0) for only major swings.
3️⃣ BOS / CHoCH structure detection with bias tracking.
The indicator tracks a persistent structureBias variable (+1 bullish, −1 bearish, 0 neutral):
— BOS (Break of Structure) : close breaks above the most recent swing high while bias is already bullish (or below swing low while already bearish) — trend continuation
— CHoCH (Change of Character) : close breaks above swing high while bias was bearish, or below swing low while bias was bullish — trend reversal
Each break requires: barstate.isconfirmed + the swing level hasn't been broken before (tracked via lastBrokenHigh/lastBrokenLow). Structure lines are drawn from the swing point to the break bar with configurable style (solid/dashed/dotted) and width.
4️⃣ Weighted confluence scoring (0–100).
The indicator measures how close the current price is to each Fibonacci level (within ATR × tolerance) and assigns weights by Fib importance:
— 0.236 → weight 1.0 (minor level)
— 0.382 → weight 1.5 (shallow retracement)
— 0.500 → weight 2.0 (equilibrium)
— 0.618 → weight 2.5 (golden ratio — highest weight)
— 0.786 → weight 1.5 (deep retracement)
Swing highs/lows within tolerance add +1.0 each. Total weight × 10 = confluence score (capped at 100). Classification: Strong (≥ 60), Moderate (≥ 30), Weak (> 0), None (0).
The tolerance is ATR-based (default 0.3× ATR) — on a volatile instrument, the "near" zone expands proportionally. On a quiet instrument, it tightens. This prevents false confluence readings from both too-tight and too-loose proximity checks.
5️⃣ Premium / Discount zone classification.
Using the 0.500 Fibonacci level as the equilibrium:
— Premium : close > Fib 0.500 — price is above equilibrium (expensive relative to the swing)
— Discount : close ≤ Fib 0.500 — price is below equilibrium (cheap relative to the swing)
This classification is used as a context filter for engulfing patterns: bullish engulfing patterns are only marked when price is in discount or at a confluence zone. Bearish engulfing patterns are only marked in premium or at a confluence zone. This prevents the most common engulfing failure mode: bullish patterns at the top of a range and bearish patterns at the bottom.
6️⃣ Context-filtered engulfing pattern detection.
The engulfing pattern detection requires:
— Current candle body > EMA(body, 14) — above-average body size (not a doji)
— Previous candle body < EMA(body, 14) — smaller previous candle (setup for engulf)
— Current candle fully engulfs previous candle's body
— Context filter: in premium/discount zone OR confluence weight ≥ 1.5
Bearish engulfing (▼): marked when price is in premium or near a Fib level — a reversal pattern at resistance. Bullish engulfing (▲): marked when price is in discount or near a Fib level — a reversal pattern at support.
7️⃣ Dual-path entry signals with cooldown.
Two entry paths:
— Engulfing + Structure + Confluence : engulfing pattern in context + structure bias aligned + confluence weight ≥ 1.5
— CHoCH (trend reversal) : any confirmed CHoCH — strong reversal signal, no additional confluence required
Both paths subject to signal cooldown (default 5 bars) to prevent clustering. Buy/Sell signals are displayed as labels (off by default — enable in Visual Settings).
8️⃣ Golden Zone + Target Zone visualization.
Two highlighted zones drawn as semi-transparent boxes:
— Golden Zone (0.500 – 0.786): the highest-probability retracement area. Where most retests find support/resistance.
— Target Zone (−0.500 – −0.618): the Fibonacci extension target for the next leg. Where price typically reaches after a confirmed retracement entry.
Both zones extend rightward by the configurable extension (default 20 bars) and update with Fibonacci level changes.
9️⃣ Seven configurable Fibonacci levels.
Individually toggleable: 0.236, 0.382, 0.500, 0.618, 0.786, −0.500, and Target (−0.618). Each drawn with distinct line styles — 0.618 is the thickest and most opaque (golden ratio emphasis), 0.236 is the thinnest (minor level). A dotted reference line connects the swing low to swing high showing the measured move.
⚙️ HOW IT WORKS — CALCULATION FLOW
Step 1 — Pivot detection: ta.pivothigh/ta.pivotlow with configurable lookback. ATR filter removes minor swings (swing size must exceed ATR × multiplier).
Step 2 — Swing tracking: Most recent two swing highs and two swing lows stored with bar indices. Each new swing is compared to previous → HH/HL/LH/LL classification.
Step 3 — Structure detection: Close breaks above swing high → BOS (if bias already bullish) or CHoCH (if bias was bearish). Same logic inverted for bearish breaks. Structure bias updated.
Step 4 — Fibonacci anchoring: On break → live edge set at current extreme, locked edge at swing. Live edge trails with price. Locks when confirmed pivot arrives. Updates on new swings.
Step 5 — Level calculation: fibLevel = swingHigh − (swingHigh − swingLow) × ratio for each ratio. Extension targets use negative ratios.
Step 6 — Confluence scoring: For each Fib level, check if |close − level| ≤ ATR × tolerance. Add weighted score. Include swing level proximity. Cap at 100.
Step 7 — Entry logic: Path A: engulfing in context + bias + confluence ≥ 1.5. Path B: CHoCH. Both respect cooldown.
