Supply & Demand Zones - Zone Forge [AFD]
Two zones on your chart. One came from a four-bar coil that price left in a single decisive candle. The other took twenty bars to go nowhere and slid out the bottom. Your indicator drew them identically.
That difference is measurable at the moment each zone forms - how tight the base was, how hard price left it - and it is measurable from the same two numbers the tool already had to compute in order to find the zone at all. Almost every zone tool computes them on the way past and throws them away.
Zone Forge keeps them. Every zone is scored on how it was constructed, and the score is painted rather than printed: a well-built zone carries more glow and deeper fill, a marginal one recedes into the background. No letter, no number, nothing to decode. The chart sorts itself.
Why it matters
A supply or demand zone is a fussy construction pretending to be a simple one. It needs a short, tight cluster of bars - the base - that price then left decisively in one direction. Both halves are measurable, and the ratio between them separates a coil that broke from a range that drifted. This describes how an area formed, and says nothing about what price does next.
At a glance
Four patterns, each switchable - rally-base-drop and drop-base-drop become supply; drop-base-rally and rally-base-rally become demand. Turn off the ones you do not trade.
A grade on every zone - built from two ratios the engine already computes, tiered Strong, Standard and Weak, and shown as vividness rather than as a label.
A one-way lifecycle - Fresh, Tested, Broken. A broken zone never returns to fresh, and a tested zone steps further back with each additional test.
Detection in one click - Scalp, Intraday or Swing set base length, tightness and departure strength together. Custom exposes all three.
Measured against your chart's own volatility - base height and departure distance are both in ATR(14) units, so one setting means the same thing on a $4 stock and a $400 one.
Nine colour themes - Signature, Neon, Muted, Mono, Terminal, Midnight, Ocean, Ember, and Paper for light charts, plus Custom. Three appearance presets over the top - Signature, Clean and Minimal - plus a Custom that leaves every control acting on its own.
Four alert conditions - new demand zone, new supply zone, zone tested, zone broken, as four separate entries in the alert dialog rather than one.
Three Data Window values for screening - distance to the nearest demand zone, distance to the nearest supply zone, and whether price is inside one.
How a zone is built
A base is a run of bars whose whole height fits inside Base tightness x ATR(14). A departure is a bar that CLOSES beyond that base by at least Departure strength x ATR(14) - the close, never the high or the low, so a spike that closes back inside draws nothing.
Both halves must be complete. A zone is created from a finished base and a finished departure, and appears on the bar that closes the departure, not before.
Two rules that change what you see:
A tight run LONGER than Base max length is rejected as a range. It is not trimmed to its last few bars and admitted anyway.
The departure is measured against the PREVIOUS bar's ATR, so the departure bar's own range cannot inflate the threshold it has to clear.
The grade, stated plainly
grade score = (departure distance / required distance) / max(base height / height limit, 0.50)
A zone that cleared the departure requirement by 3x off a base using half its allowed height scores well above one that cleared it by 1.1x off a base that used all of it. Only just qualifying on both counts scores 1.0x.
Weak, Standard and Strong are fixed thresholds on that score, and the tier is decided on the bar that creates the zone.
The score is computed once and is never recomputed. A zone already on your chart does not restyle itself later.
Grade emphasis sets how far apart the three tiers LOOK, from nearly identical to a wide visual split. It changes appearance only, never which tier a zone is in.
The tiers describe construction. They are not a ranking of what is likely to happen at a zone, and no tier is presented as the one to trade.
The lifecycle
Fresh - price has not come back yet. Brightest.
Tested - price traded into the zone and it held. The fill and glow step back, and each further test steps them back again up to a fixed limit, so an area that has been worked repeatedly recedes on its own rather than vanishing.
Broken - price closed through it. Hidden by default, because showing them roughly triples what is on the chart.
You choose what counts as each. Break rule is close-through or wick-through; Test rule is wick-touch or close-inside. Break beats test on the same bar, and the lifecycle only ever runs one way - a broken zone never becomes fresh again.
Flip broken zones, off by default, draws a fresh zone of the OPPOSITE type at the same levels when a zone breaks. The broken zone stays broken - this creates a new zone rather than reversing an old one, so nothing already on your chart changes what it claims to be. One generation only.
How it differs from a standard zone tool
The grade is a consequence of the construction, not a bolt-on - a swing-pivot band inflated by a fixed ATR width has no tightness to measure, and a fair-value gap has no base at all. Only something that finds a consolidation and THEN measures the move away from it has the two numbers to divide.
Strength is the visual language - the ranking is carried by glow and fill depth, so the chart is read at a glance instead of decoded. No letter appears on the box unless you ask for one.
The chart is kept bounded on purpose - a cap per side, a maximum age, broken zones hidden, and an overlap rule that will not admit a new zone sitting on top of a live one.
A theme system, not a colour picker - nine curated palettes, one of them built for a light chart, and three appearance presets over the top.
Nothing about the grade is hidden - the score is one division, the two thresholds it divides are the same ones detection already applied, and every constant is a named value in source you can read. A trust signal, not the pitch: what you are here for is the zones.
The visuals
Layered glow, not a flat rectangle - concentric halo boxes off a single Glow intensity control, with a floor so no layer is ever invisible. Glow spread sets how far the halo reaches.
Fill, border and edges are independent - each carries its own colour, width and style, and each can be switched off. Border off leaves the fill and the glow; fill off leaves an outline.
Emphasise nearest zone - thickens the border of the zone closest to price on each side.
50% line - the midpoint mitigation level, off by default, with its own colour and style.
Labels - Type, Type + age, Type + grade, Type + touches or Age; four positions, four sizes, a bar offset; worded Supply/Demand, the full pattern name or the trade shorthand. Every label carries a hover breakdown: pattern, span, state, age and grade.
Zone count table - a small optional panel counting what is on the chart.
Master opacity - fades every colour together in one control, without touching any individual setting.

Create these from PulseWire's alert dialog. How often an alert re-fires while its condition holds is set in that dialog, not in the script. A running alert keeps the inputs, symbol and timeframe it was created with - recreate it after changing any of them.
How to use it
Pick a detection style first - Scalp, Intraday or Swing. It is the only setting that changes WHAT gets found; everything else changes how what was found looks.
Works best on a 5-minute chart or lower - a zone needs a completed base and a completed departure to print, and that pattern completes far more often per session on a fast chart than a slow one, so a 5-minute-or-lower timeframe gives you more zones to read.
Read the fresh zones first - they are the brightest, and they are the areas price has not returned to.
Read the grade as build quality - a Strong zone came from a tight base and a decisive departure, a Weak one only just cleared both tests. Both are drawn, because knowing which is which is the point.
Watch a zone dim - each test steps it further back. A zone tested three times looks like what it is.
Set the look once - Preset gives you the vivid default, a clean one and a minimal one in a click, or Custom to set everything yourself; Colour theme gives nine palettes; Master opacity fades the lot. Then leave it alone.
Hover anything unclear - all 63 inputs carry a tooltip, and every zone label carries a breakdown.
What it deliberately does not do
It reads the open, high, low, close and volume of the chart you have open, and nothing else. There are no request.security() calls, no other symbol, no higher-timeframe import, and no options or order-book data of any kind.
So it does not know about order flow, dealer positioning, or where anyone's orders actually are. Supply and demand here name where a price move ORIGINATED. They do not name a measured book, and the words that would imply otherwise are kept out of every string this script ships.
It draws no entries, exits, targets or arrows, and makes no accuracy, reliability, profitability, probability or future-result claim of any kind. The grade describes an area built from bars that have already printed: a construction score establishes neither future direction nor the quality of any trade. Data, timeframes and what to check yourself
Zones are created from confirmed bars only - a completed base and a completed departure. Once created, a zone's geometry does not move: its top, bottom and left edge are fixed, and only its lifecycle state changes, one way, on closed bars. Confirm it with the bar-replay tool on your own symbol and timeframe before relying on it - a description of mechanism is not that check, and nothing here claims to be.
The three Data Window values read the live close - the two distances and the inside-zone flag. They create, test, break and prune nothing.
The zone count is bounded by Pine's drawing limits - the source declares budgets of 500 boxes, 500 lines and 100 labels, and every glow layer, edge line and label spends from them. Max zones per side and Max zone age are the controls that keep you inside.
Standard time-based candles - on Heikin Ashi, Renko or Range the engine measures those synthetic values rather than traded prices, so the bases it finds are not the bases on your price chart.
Base tightness is not a strictness dial - the zone count peaks in the middle of its range and falls away at both ends, which is why the range stops where it does. Loosening it past the peak draws FEWER zones, not more.
Detection needs history - ATR(14) must exist before anything can be measured against it, so the opening bars of a chart produce nothing.
Originality and credit
Supply and demand zones are old ground. What is new is that the construction is measured, and the measurement is what you see: base tightness and departure distance resolved into one score, that score frozen on the bar that creates the zone, and the ranking expressed as glow and fill depth rather than as a label to decode.

🧭 КАК ЧИТАТЬ ПРОФИЛЬ НА ГРАФИКЕ
1. Начните с положения цены относительно Value Area
Цена между VAL и VAH находится в зоне принятой стоимости. Здесь рынок чаще вращается вокруг POC, тестирует HVN и возвращается к балансу.
Закрепление выше VAH показывает выход из справедливой стоимости вверх. Закрепление ниже VAL — выход вниз. Сам пробой ещё не является входом: смотрите, удерживается ли граница после ретеста и подтверждает ли движение объём.
2. Найдите POC
Яркая розовая линия POC отмечает цену максимальной концентрации объёма. Это главный центр текущего профиля и сильный рыночный магнит.
Если цена находится далеко от POC, рынок может продолжить поиск новой стоимости или вернуться к прежнему балансу. Если цена торгуется около POC, преимущество сторон обычно слабее — здесь чаще появляется шум и двусторонняя торговля.
3. Прочитайте форму гистограммы
Чем длиннее горизонтальная строка, тем больше объёма прошло на этой цене. Короткая строка означает низкое принятие цены.
Основной профиль выполнен в спокойной нейтральной палитре. Тонкая neon-рейка у якоря показывает доминирующую сторону каждой строки: бирюзовый цвет — преимущество Up Volume, розовый — Down Volume. Яркость растёт вместе с дисбалансом.
4. Используйте HVN как зоны принятия
Синие HVN-зоны отмечают локальные пики объёма. Здесь цена может замедляться, формировать консолидацию, повторно тестировать уровень или использовать его как поддержку/сопротивление.
HVN не исчезает после касания. Это уже проторгованная структура рынка, а не ожидающий стоп-пул.
5. Используйте LVN как коридоры непринятия
Янтарные LVN-зоны показывают провалы объёма. Внутри таких участков рынок провёл мало времени, поэтому движение может ускоряться. На границе LVN также возможен резкий отказ, если цена не получает нового объёмного подтверждения.
LVN тоже не удаляется после первого теста: он остаётся частью рассчитанного профиля и перестраивается вместе с выбранным диапазоном.
6. Проверьте BSL и SSL
BSL формируется над подтверждёнными равными swing high — там часто концентрируются стопы продавцов и ликвидность покупателей. SSL строится под равными swing low, где может находиться ликвидность продавцов.
Зона появляется только после подтверждения минимум двух сопоставимых экстремумов и прохождения фильтра качества. В Q учитываются относительный объём, rejection wick и расстояние между подтверждениями.
Состояния зон:
• FRESH — подтверждённая зона ещё не тестировалась.
• TESTED — цена вошла в диапазон, но не прошла его полностью; зона становится визуально слабее.
• OFF — пул остаётся в расчёте, но находится за рабочим ATR-радиусом и временно скрыт с графика.
• SWEPT — дальняя граница пройдена; зона считается собранной и полностью удаляется.
7. Сверьтесь с Delta
Положительная Delta означает, что внутри всего выбранного профиля больше объёма классифицировано как Up Volume. Отрицательная — преимущество Down Volume.
Delta относится ко всему диапазону, а не к последней свече. Поэтому текущая красная свеча может находиться внутри положительного профиля — противоречия здесь нет.

Цена удерживается выше VAH, профиль расширяется вверх, Delta поддерживает покупателей, а впереди находится BSL. Контекст бычий, пока возврат под VAH не отменил выход из стоимости.
ПОИСК ЦЕНЫ ВНИЗ
Цена закрепляется ниже VAL, Down Volume усиливается, а ближайшая SSL расположена ниже. Медвежий контекст сохраняется, пока цена не вернулась внутрь Value Area.
БЫСТРОЕ ПРОХОЖДЕНИЕ
Цена входит в LVN без встречного объёма. Внутри низкообъёмного коридора движение может ускориться до следующего HVN, границы VA или активного liquidity pool.
СБОР ЛИКВИДНОСТИ

🗺 HOW TO READ THE CHART
START WITH VALUE
Price between VAL and VAH is trading inside accepted value. This is usually a two-sided auction: POC attracts price, HVNs can hold rotation and the center of the profile often produces more noise than its edges.
Holding above VAH signals price discovery above value. Holding below VAL signals price discovery below value. A single breakout is not enough on its own — watch whether the boundary survives a retest and whether directional volume supports the move.
READ THE POC
The bright magenta POC marks the highest-volume price in the selected range. It acts as the profile’s center of gravity.
Price close to POC is usually balanced. Price far from POC may be building a new area of value or preparing a rotation back toward the old one. Context decides which path is active.
READ THE PROFILE SHAPE
Long horizontal rows represent heavier participation. Short rows show low acceptance.
The main histogram uses a restrained neutral palette. A thin neon rail at the profile anchor shows row-level direction: teal for Up Volume dominance, pink for Down Volume dominance. Stronger imbalance produces a brighter rail without recoloring the entire histogram.
HVN — ACCEPTANCE
Blue HVN zones mark local volume peaks. These are areas where the market previously agreed on price. Expect slower movement, consolidation, support/resistance behavior or repeated tests.
An HVN does not disappear after a touch. It represents completed volume structure, not uncollected stops.
LVN — REJECTION AND FAST TRAVEL
Amber LVN zones mark local volume valleys. Price spent less time there, so movement may accelerate through the corridor until it reaches the next HVN, Value Area boundary or active liquidity pool.
LVNs remain part of the calculated profile and update when the selected range changes.
BSL / SSL — CONFIRMED LIQUIDITY
BSL appears above confirmed equal swing highs, where short stops and breakout liquidity can cluster. SSL appears below confirmed equal swing lows, where long stops and sell-side liquidity may sit.
A pool requires at least two comparable confirmed pivots and must pass the adaptive Q filter. The script does not print every high and low as “liquidity.”
Liquidity states:
• FRESH — confirmed and not yet tested.
• TESTED — price entered the zone without completing the full sweep; the zone fades.
• OFF — still calculated but outside the active ATR work radius, so it is hidden from the chart.
• SWEPT — price cleared the far boundary; every drawing for that pool is deleted.

Price is inside Value Area and close to POC or an HVN. The market is accepting price. Chasing the middle of the profile offers less structural clarity than waiting for a reaction at VAH, VAL or a nearby liquidity zone.
BULLISH PRICE DISCOVERY
Price holds above VAH, directional volume remains constructive and BSL is active overhead. The bullish auction remains valid while price accepts above value; a return below VAH weakens that read.
BEARISH PRICE DISCOVERY
Price holds below VAL, Down Volume expands and an SSL pool remains below. The bearish auction stays active until price regains the Value Area.
LVN TRAVEL
Price enters an LVN without opposing participation. The low-volume corridor may provide a faster route toward the next HVN, POC, VA boundary or liquidity target.

A rolling volume-density profile rendered directly onto the price chart. Over a configurable lookback window the indicator distributes each historical bar's volume across every price bin its high-low range covered, then draws the resulting distribution as color-graded horizontal lines at each bin's midpoint. Point of Control and Value Area (70 % of total volume) are computed automatically, and a compact right-side histogram mirrors the profile in the future-offset zone. Built for intraday and swing traders who want a live, minimal read of where the market actually did business — the real liquidity anchors, not manual pivots.
How it works:
The indicator recalculates every N bars (default 5). On each recalc it finds the highest and lowest price of the lookback window, splits that range into a configurable number of bins (default 40), and iterates through every bar in the window. For each bar its volume — or a unit weight if volume weighting is disabled — is added to every bin whose price range the bar crossed. The result is a density array: the more time price stayed inside a bin and the higher the volume of those bars, the larger its density value. Bins are drawn as thin horizontal lines at their midpoints, with color and transparency scaled by the ratio of bin density to peak density.
The Point of Control is the bin with the largest total. Value Area is grown outward from POC, alternately taking whichever adjacent side holds more volume, until 70 % of the entire distribution is covered — VAH becomes the upper boundary of that region and VAL the lower. A right-side density histogram in the chart's offset zone re-renders the same profile in bar-chart form, and the level labels (POC / VAH / VAL) sit past the histogram so they never overlap the main heatmap. The information panel in the top-right corner shows the numeric price of each level and its signed percentage delta to the current close, color-coded green when the level sits above price, red when below, gray at parity.

Overview
Previous Day Pivot Path is an intraday reference-level study built from the confirmed OHLC values of the previous selected trading day. It plots the current day's central pivot and support/resistance levels, then records the first chart bar in which each level is reached and assigns a compact arrival rank.
The script is intended for traders and researchers who want to identify the current day's mathematically derived reference levels without converting them into buy/sell instructions. It does not predict whether a level will hold or break, and it does not present win-rate, profitability, or performance claims.
What makes this implementation different
1. First-arrival path instead of static lines only
Each tracked level begins the day as pending. When the selected price source first reaches it, the script records an arrival rank and can place a numbered badge at the corresponding time.
If more than one previously unreached level is reached in the same chart bar, those levels receive the same rank. OHLC bars do not reveal the true tick-by-tick order inside that bar, so the script deliberately avoids inventing an intrabar sequence that the available data cannot prove.
2. Reached-level fading and next-level focus
Reached levels can fade automatically. The nearest unreached level can receive stronger line emphasis and an optional translucent focus halo. After all displayed levels have been reached, the focus can fall back to the nearest level or remain inactive.
This visual hierarchy separates completed parts of the day's path from levels that remain unvisited, while preserving the exact horizontal prices.
3. Confirmed previous-day data
All daily formula inputs are requested from the last completed daily bar. Open time, close time, open, high, low, and close are all offset by one daily bar before they are used. The current developing daily high, low, or close is never used in the pivot formulas.
The script also checks that the completed daily session is chronologically aligned with the selected intraday source day before it initializes new levels or arrival events.
4. Source-session freshness protection
Three OHLC source modes are available:
- Automatic: uses chart-context OHLC on standard candles and standard-symbol OHLC on non-standard charts.
- Chart context: preserves the chart's ticker modifiers, session, adjustment, and chart-type context.
- Standard symbol: removes non-standard ticker modifiers and uses standard market OHLC.
When the selected standard source has no bar aligned with the current chart timestamp, the script does not reuse an old forward-filled OHLC value. Arrival events pause, and existing drawings remain fixed at the last valid source bar until aligned data becomes available again.
5. Session-aware day handling
The script uses a trading-day key suitable for markets whose sessions cross midnight. This prevents a simple calendar-date change from being treated as the session boundary on many overnight Forex and futures markets.
If the first loaded dataset begins after the selected source day's opening bar, the earlier first-arrival sequence is unknowable. For that one partial day, arrival tracking and open-dependent features are conservatively bypassed rather than reconstructed from incomplete history.
6. Time-anchored persistent drawings
Persistent lines, boxes, right-edge labels, and arrival badges use UNIX-time coordinates. This avoids relying on very old bar_index coordinates on dense second charts and keeps historical drawings independent of the number of bars elapsed since their creation.
7. Multiple formula families plus an editable research mode
The script includes:

The custom mode lets users select the pivot center and edit three previous-range multipliers. The multipliers are sorted from smallest to largest before assignment to R1/S1, R2/S2, and R3/S3.
8. Price-grid and duplicate-level controls
Calculated levels can remain raw, round to the nearest minimum tick, or round outward so resistance is rounded upward and support downward. When rounding produces the same price for multiple logical levels, the script can merge them into one line and one badge with a combined code such as P/R1.
9. Researchable arrival definitions
Users can define a first arrival with:
- Wick range
- Candle body range
- Confirmed close crossing
Optional tolerance can be exact, a number of ticks, or a percentage of the previous-day range. Gap crossings can be counted or ignored. Arrival ranking can follow only displayed levels, the selected depth, or all levels produced by the formula.
10. Deliberate chart hygiene
The default presentation prioritizes P, R1/S1, and then outer levels through width, line style, transparency, and optional reached-level fading. Right-edge labels support automatic text contrast and horizontal lane staggering when prices are close.
Optional context references include:

The center can be HLC3, HLCC4, OHLC4, midpoint, or previous close. Three editable multipliers are applied symmetrically to the previous-day range after being sorted from smallest to largest.
Arrival timing
Confirmed bar
This is the reproducible default. An arrival is recorded only after the chart bar is confirmed.
Live bar
Live timing is available for wick arrivals. Intrabar-persistent state latches a wick touch across realtime updates of the open bar. Because all levels first reached inside the same chart bar share one rank, the script does not claim a tick-level order that bar data cannot establish.
Body and close-cross modes automatically use confirmed bars to avoid transient open-bar signals.
Non-standard charts
Heikin-Ashi, Renko, Kagi, Line Break, Point & Figure, and Range bars can be synthetic or approximate. Automatic mode uses standard-symbol OHLC for the level and event source on non-standard charts, but arrival events are paused by default. Users can explicitly allow them for research after accepting the chart-type limitation.
The script is designed for time-based intraday charts. Tick charts and daily-or-higher charts are intentionally rejected with a visible notice rather than processed with ambiguous session assumptions.
Language and user interface
English is the default dynamic chart language. Selecting 日本語 changes dynamic labels, tooltips, safety notices, session-brief text, and language-aware alert() messages. Input names remain short bilingual labels so both English and Japanese users can configure the study.

An optional language-aware alert() call can include the reached level codes, shared rank, symbol, timeframe, and selected calculation method. Alerts describe observable level events only; they are not trade recommendations.
Suggested workflow
1. Use a standard candlestick intraday chart for the most direct interpretation.
2. Keep Automatic, Traditional, Nearest tick, Confirmed bar, and Wick for the conservative defaults.
3. Select the desired level depth and optional previous-day references.
4. Enable live timing only when intrabar wick monitoring is required.
5. Create alerts from the neutral first-arrival or confirmed P-cross conditions as needed.
6. Use Market Replay and several symbols/session types before relying on customized settings.
Important limitations
- A previous-day pivot is a mathematical reference, not a prediction that price will reverse or continue.
- Data vendors can revise historical bars, and exchange session definitions can differ across instruments.
- Standard-symbol mode can intentionally have no aligned bar outside its selected session. In that case, events pause instead of carrying stale OHLC forward.
- The first loaded partial source day cannot provide a complete earlier arrival sequence.
- A chart bar cannot prove the order of multiple level touches inside that bar; those first touches share one rank.
- Live wick tracking reacts to realtime updates. Reloaded historical bars contain finalized OHLC, not the original tick stream.
- Synthetic chart bars may not represent executable market prices. Arrival tracking on such charts is disabled by default.
- The study does not provide entries, exits, position sizing, stop placement, or performance statistics.

Managing Risk and Trailing Stops: If you enter long at a support line, use that level as your risk floor. If price flushes below it, the indicator will instantly turn the line grey and dashed, letting you know the setup is invalid and it is time to cut the trade.

The script is designed to show where price has recently reacted, how those reactions are grouped into zones, and how the same reaction context can be studied both in the current live chart and in historical visible-range views.
It does not generate trading signals. It does not provide entries, exits, targets, stops, position sizing, win rate, or performance claims.
## What it shows
This script can display:
- Live reaction zones based on confirmed pivot reactions.
- Support-like, resistance-like, mixed, and inactive reaction roles.
- Touch count, freshness, ATR-normalized reaction strength, width penalty, and a visual zone score.
- Visible Range Research context for historical chart study.
- Local Window Levels across the visible historical window.
- A compact dashboard with neutral context information.

The displayed zones and local levels are historical reaction context. They are not predictions.
## Context modes
The script includes three context modes:
### Live
Live context shows the current reaction-zone state at the latest bars. This is the normal current-chart view. Live context can extend active zones to the right for readability.
Live is the only context that can trigger alerts.
### Visible Range Research
Visible Range Research reconstructs the reaction context as it existed at the right edge of the currently visible chart range.
This mode is intended for historical visual study. When the user scrolls or zooms the chart, the research view recalculates for that visible range.
Visible Range Research does not trigger alerts.
### Auto Hybrid
Auto Hybrid is the default mode.
When the latest bars are visible, the script uses Live context. When the chart is scrolled back into historical data, the script switches to Visible Range Research.
## How it works
The script uses confirmed pivot highs and confirmed pivot lows as reaction events.
A support-like reaction is based on a confirmed pivot low. A resistance-like reaction is based on a confirmed pivot high.
Nearby reactions are clustered into reaction zones. Each zone stores information such as:
- center price
- zone width
- first and last reaction
- touch count
- support-like and resistance-like reaction counts
- average and maximum reaction strength
- invalidation state
- visual quality information
Zones are scored using a configurable combination of touch count, freshness, ATR-normalized reaction strength, width penalty, quality information, and invalidation state.
Only confirmed pivots are used. Unconfirmed pivot points are not displayed.
## Local Window Levels
Visible Range Research includes a local-window layer built directly from confirmed pivot reactions.
Local Window Levels are independent from the right-edge context zones. This means smaller reactions on the left, center, or right side of the visible historical chart can remain visible even if they later become part of a broader context zone.
Local Window Levels can:
- appear on the left, center, or right side of the visible chart
- start and end inside the visible window
- continue from the visible left edge if they already existed at that point
- end before the visible right edge
- show smaller historical reaction areas that may not be obvious from broader zones alone
This behavior is intentional. The local layer is for historical visual study, not for prediction.
## Local detection quality
The local layer includes quality controls for confirmed pivot reactions.
Balanced Quality is the default profile. It is designed to reduce obvious noise while still keeping useful local reaction context visible.
Exploratory shows more local reactions for broader visual study.
Strict and Very Strict reduce the number of local levels by requiring stronger reaction quality.
Local reaction quality can consider:
- ATR-normalized reaction distance
- wick or close-away validation
- local pivot prominence
- same-swing duplicate suppression
- short-term local clustering
Line density is controlled before a local level is confirmed. Confirmed local levels are not hidden merely for visual clarity in the rendering stage unless a hard object limit or explicit user setting applies.
## Historical visual study
In Visible Range Research, local levels are drawn relative to the currently visible chart window.
A local level does not need to extend to the visible right edge.
Short lines, mid-window lines, and lines that end before the right side of the chart are normal. They show where local reaction areas existed during that historical view.
This mode helps users study how reaction areas formed, continued, changed, or stopped being relevant across past market structure.
## Dashboard
The dashboard provides compact context information, including:
- current view context
- active zone count
- nearest lower reaction zone
- nearest upper reaction zone
- highest zone score
- last confirmed reaction age
- detection status
The dashboard uses neutral wording. It does not recommend any trading action.
Dashboard text size, backdrop strength, position, and right-side spacing are adjustable for readability near the price scale.
## Alerts
Alerts are live-context event notifications only.
Available alert events include:

Lower timeframes and highly volatile symbols can produce more local levels.
Strict settings may remove useful reactions. Exploratory settings may show more lines.

The script uses confirmed pivot highs and confirmed pivot lows only.
A pivot reaction is processed only after the required pivot-right confirmation bars have passed.

WHAT IT DOES
This indicator detects support and resistance zones from confirmed price pivots, then tracks when price breaks through a zone and "flips" its role - broken resistance becomes support, broken support becomes resistance. Flipped zones are recolored and highlighted for a configurable number of bars, and flip events fire markers and alerts. A ladder table lists the nearest zones above and below current price, sorted by distance, so you can read the immediate S/R structure at a glance without scanning the chart.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Zone creation: Swing highs and lows are detected with ta.pivothigh / ta.pivotlow. Each confirmed pivot creates a zone centered on the pivot price. Zone half-width is either a multiple of ATR (adaptive to volatility) or a fixed dollar amount, selectable in settings.
2. Zone maintenance: Nearby zones are merged when their midpoints fall within an ATR-based merge threshold. New pivots that land inside an existing zone's dedup radius are discarded instead of stacking duplicates. Zones farther from price than a distance cap (the larger of an ATR window and a percent-of-price window) are pruned, and if more zones remain than the per-mode maximum, the farthest ones are evicted. This keeps only the structurally relevant levels on the chart.
3. Flip detection: On each confirmed bar close, every zone is tested against the break method you select. "Close" requires the candle to close beyond the zone edge plus an ATR-based confirmation buffer. "Wick" allows the high/low to trigger the break. When a zone is broken upward it is reclassified as support; broken downward it becomes resistance. The flip bar is recorded so recently flipped zones render in a stronger highlight color and are tagged "S Flipped" / "R Flipped" until the highlight age expires.
4. Flip throttling: A minimum-bars-between-flips setting suppresses repeated flip signals on the same side within a short window, reducing noise in choppy conditions.
5. Trading modes: Scalping, Intraday, Swing, and Position modes each carry their own independent parameter set (pivot length, zone width, confirmation buffer, flip throttle, zone count, distance caps). "Auto" selects the mode from the chart timeframe. "Manual" exposes a fully custom set. This lets one script behave sensibly from 1-minute charts to weekly charts without retuning on every timeframe change.
6. EMA cloud: An optional 9/21 EMA cloud (lengths configurable) provides directional context behind the zones. Green fill when fast is above slow, red when below.
NON-REPAINTING DESIGN
All flip state changes are gated on barstate.isconfirmed, so flips, markers, and alerts only occur on closed bars and do not change after the fact. The optional higher-timeframe confirmation uses request.security with a confirmed-bar offset so the higher-timeframe value never previews an unclosed HTF bar: on closed chart bars it reads the current HTF value, and on the developing bar it reads the last closed HTF value. Pivots by nature confirm only after the right-side lookback completes, so zones appear a fixed number of bars after the actual swing point - this is inherent to pivot detection, not repainting.
HOW TO USE IT
- Leave Trading Mode on Auto to let the script pick parameters from your chart timeframe, or select a mode explicitly to tune it.
- Watch the ladder table for the three nearest resistance zones above price and three nearest support zones below, with price and percent distance for each. An asterisk marks recently flipped zones.
- "Flip Up" markers print when resistance is confirmed broken and reclassified as support; "Flip Dn" marks the opposite. These are commonly read as breakout-and-retest context: a fresh flip zone is a candidate area for price to retest from the other side.
- Enable MTF Close Confirmation to require the break to hold on a higher timeframe before a flip registers, which filters out breaks that only exist on the chart timeframe.
- Three alerts are available: flip to support, flip to resistance, and any flip.

Principle One : Math, Not Judgment
All level calculations are pure formulas: entry midpoint, ATR multiples, R:R ratios. No conditional logic.No "if RSI is overbought then shift the stop." The same inputs always produce the same outputs.Why this matters: reproducibility. If you mark a Long on BTCUSD at 18:00 with these settings, then check the same chart tomorrow, the zones will be in the same place relative to that bar. There is no hidden state, no learned behavior, no drift.
Principle Two : One Decision, Many Outputs
The only decision you make is Long or Short. From that one bit of information, the indicator produces nine distinct visual elements (two zones, entry mid, SL, TP1, TP2, SFlip, LFlip, direction badge with R:R) each of them quantitatively derived

The Entry Midpoint
The entry midpoint (entryMid) is the single most important value the indicator computes. Everything else zones, SL, TP, flips — is derived from it.
Reference Selection
Two reference lines are pulled from the chart:
• EMA Fast (default length 20) — the standard short-term trend follower
• BB Basis (SMA-20) — the midline of the Bollinger Band system
The indicator then picks the appropriate one based on your chosen direction:

Rationale: For a Long, you want to enter on a pullback toward a support reference — the higher of the two candidates is usually closer to current price, making fills more likely. For a Short, the inverse.
ATR Clamping
Raw EMA/BB references sometimes sit too close to (or too far from) current price to be useful as entry zones. The indicator clamps the entryMid into a sensible band defined by ATR:

How to Use Each Zone
Z1 (first fill, solid amber): Your primary entry. Allocate the larger portion of your intended position size here. Typical approach is 60-70% of position into Z1.
Z2 (averaging, dashed amber): Only triggers if price pushes past entryMid into the deep zone. Allocate the remaining 30-40% here. Beyond Z2, the next reference is SL — if price reaches SL without bouncing, the trade is invalidated and you accept the loss as planned.
Warning: Z2 is for averaging, NOT for unlimited adding. The math assumes total position cost basis falls between entryMid and Z2's deep edge. Adding outside Z2 voids the SL/TP geometry — your actual R:R will not match what's displayed.
Stop Loss (SL)

• Beyond TP2: You are now in a runner. The trade has paid its R, your downside is zero (breakeven SL). Let the winner work.
Flip Lines (SFlip & LFlip)
Flip lines mark the points where your directional thesis is broken. If price closes past a flip line, you should re-evaluate — possibly exiting and flipping direction.

Default Flip multiplier: 2.0 × ATR. The asymmetry is deliberate: one flip line coincides with your SL(because if SL is hit, the thesis is dead by definition); the other sits one extra ATR's worth out, marking the point where the OPPOSITE trade would now make sense.

Common Mistakes To Avoid
• Re-running the indicator after price has moved. The zones recompute live on each bar. If you
formed your thesis at one bar's close, place your orders at THOSE levels, not the levels the indicator shows three bars later.
• Flipping direction without exiting first. Toggling Long → Short while a Long position is open
generates new zones for the Short setup but does NOT close your Long. Close manually first.
• Trading both directions on the same chart. Don't load two instances. Use one chart per
directional view. If you need to see both, use chart layouts (vertical split).
• Ignoring the SFlip / LFlip lines. These are not decorative. When price breaks them on a closing
basis, your thesis is broken. Acknowledge it.
• Over-tweaking the ATR multipliers per trade. Pick a setting per timeframe and stick with it for at least 20 trades before adjusting. Frequent tweaking is curve-fitting.

Multi-symbol Supply & Demand zone scanner that displays the status of up to 40 instruments in a single table. Built on the same detection logic as Svopex Supply &
Demand Zones (base + explosive ATR candle pattern), but extended to portfolio-wide screening with on-chart zone drawing for the active symbol.
What it does
For each of up to 40 user-defined symbols (default: NAS100, XAU, EURUSD, US30, SPX500, WTICO, XAG, BTC + 27 main and cross OANDA currency pairs), the scanner detects
supply and demand zones in real time and shows in the result table where price currently sits relative to those zones.
Detected statuses (priority order: IN > NEAR > WAS_IN > none):
- IN SUPPLY / IN DEMAND — price is currently inside an active zone
- NEAR SUPPLY / NEAR DEMAND — price is within nearMult × ATR of the zone edge
- WAS IN SUPPLY / WAS IN DEMAND — price was inside a zone within the last N closed bars but is no longer in/near it (zone has been broken). Useful as a follow-up
signal after price entered a zone and the zone was invalidated
- (blank) — no relevant state
The table can be filtered to show only hits, and rows update as the chart timeframe changes — the scanner always operates on the chart's current TF.
Zone detection logic (identical to Svopex Supply & Demand Zones):
- 1 to N "base" candles with body ≤ baseBodyPct × ATR
- Followed by an explosive candle with body ≥ explMult × ATR
- The high/low of the base candles defines the zone boundaries
- The zone is invalidated when price breaks through it according to breakPct threshold (with optional wick or body-only mode)
On-chart zone drawing
For the current chart symbol, the scanner also draws supply (red) and demand (green) boxes the same way as Svopex S&D Zones — so you can use it as a single-symbol
indicator and as a multi-symbol scanner in one. Switching the chart to any other symbol redraws the boxes for that symbol.

Parameters
Symbols (1–40)
- Each slot accepts a BROKER:TICKER format (e.g. OANDA:EURUSD, BINANCE:BTCUSD). Empty slots are skipped (mapped to chart symbol internally and deduplicated by Pine).
Zone detection
- Max base candles (default 3, range 1–6) — maximum number of base candles that can precede the explosive move.
- Base body ≤ ATR × (default 0.5) — the body of base candles must be at most this multiple of ATR.
- Explosive body ≥ ATR × (default 1.5) — the body of the explosive candle must be at least this multiple of ATR.
- ATR length (default 14) — period for ATR calculation.
- Max active zones per side (default 20, range 1–100) — how many supply/demand zones to track per symbol; oldest are dropped when the limit is exceeded.
Zone Break
- Include wicks (else body only) (default true) — when ON, the break check uses candle high/low (wicks); when OFF, only body (max/min of open, close).
- Break threshold (%) (default 0, range 0–100) — how far price must penetrate the zone to invalidate it. 0 = zone breaks at first touch of the near edge, 50 = breaks
at midline, 100 = breaks only after fully crossing the zone.
Proximity
- Near threshold (ATR ×) (default 1) — distance from zone edge (in ATR units) within which price counts as "NEAR".
Was-in zone
- Bars back for 'was in zone' (default 10, range 1–50) — lookback window for the WAS_IN status. If price was inside a zone within the last N confirmed bars but is no
longer there, the symbol shows WAS IN SUPPLY / WAS IN DEMAND. Only triggers when no IN/NEAR status applies.

- Draw zones for current chart symbol (default true) — toggles zone box rendering on the chart.

Typical usage
- Open any chart and timeframe — the scanner immediately shows which symbols in your watchlist are in/near a zone.
- When you change the chart timeframe, the scanner recomputes all symbols on the new TF.
- When you switch the chart to a symbol from the list, you see its zones rendered as boxes directly on the chart.
Limitations
- Pine Script enforces a hard limit of 40 unique request.security calls per indicator — hence the 40-symbol cap. Empty slots are mapped to the chart symbol and
deduplicated, so the actual call count depends on how many distinct tickers you populate.
- Zone boxes are drawn only for the active chart symbol (price-axis scaling makes cross-symbol overlay meaningless).
- With breakPct=0 and useWicks=true, zones have a short life (a single wick touch invalidates them) — the WAS_IN status acts as a follow-up signal in that mode.
Tip: For longer-lived zones, raise breakPct to 50–100% — IN/NEAR statuses will then persist as long as price holds the zone. For a classic S&D screener, the

**Premarket High/Low**
This indicator tracks the highest high and lowest low made during the US equity premarket session (04:00–09:00 ET by default) and projects those two levels as horizontal lines across the regular trading session (09:30–16:00 ET). Many traders use premarket extremes as intraday support and resistance — breaks above the PM high or below the PM low often coincide with momentum moves during regular hours.
**How it works**
During premarket, the script records the running high and low of that window. Once premarket closes at 09:00, the levels lock in and are drawn as horizontal lines that extend through to the 16:00 close. Lines do not carry over past the close — each trading day gets its own fresh PM range.

How It Works
Each zone is built through a three-stage pipeline — pivot confirmation, volatility-scaled construction, and lifecycle tracking.
A swing is detected when a bar's high is higher than the surrounding pivotLen bars on both sides (for resistance), or the low is lower (for support). Because the right-side requires N bars of confirmation, zones appear with a deterministic pivotLen -bar lag and do not repaint once drawn
At the moment a pivot confirms, the script measures the 200-bar ATR as it existed pivotLen bars ago — that is the volatility context at the actual swing bar, not the current bar. The zone is then drawn as a box extending ±(ATR/2) around the pivot price
Each zone is stored in an SRZone user-defined type that bundles its box, midline, label, pivot level, and a boolean broken flag. Two arrays — one for resistance, one for support — hold the active inventory
On every bar, unbroken zones have their right edge extended forward. When the close exceeds the top of a resistance zone (or falls below the bottom of a support zone), the zone stops extending, is marked broken, and a labeled marker is drawn at the break bar
How the Components Work Together
Three design decisions interact to produce the final behavior.
The pivot detection answers where market structure previously turned — these are locations where orders likely clustered and will likely cluster again on retest. The ATR scaling answers how wide the reaction range around that pivot should be, because a pivot formed during a low-volatility session does not represent the same defensive range as one formed during a volatile expansion. Combining the two produces zones that are structurally anchored but volatility-proportional.
The close-based break filter then handles the noise problem. The most common false break is a wick that tags the level, prints a panic candle, and reverses immediately. By requiring a full close beyond the zone, the indicator rewards conviction moves and ignores exploratory probes — the break is registered only when price has committed to the new regime.
Trading Ideas and Insights
Repeated tests of a fresh resistance zone without a closing break frequently precede a sustained reversal. The more times a zone is defended, the more meaningful the eventual breakout becomes
When a resistance zone breaks and then holds as support on retest, that flip is a classic structural shift — an opportunity to align with the new direction using the flipped zone as a clear invalidation level
Support zones broken during strong trending conditions rarely hold on retest. Support broken during ranging conditions often reforms because the market was simply oscillating — context from the broader trend matters
A cluster of multiple pivots at similar prices (three or four zones stacking) marks a confluence area that carries more weight than an isolated swing
Past behavior at these levels does not guarantee future reactions. Treat zones as bias filters rather than standalone signal generators.
Unique Aspects
Most S/R indicators use fixed-distance zones, round numbers, or percentage bands. This one scales zone thickness to a rolling ATR measured at the exact bar of the pivot — so a 2020 level and a 2024 level on the same chart can have very different zone widths depending on the volatility regime that produced them
Zones freeze on break rather than being deleted, preserving a visual history of which structural levels have been tested and lost. This acts as a passive context map for traders reading price action
State is managed through a UDT array rather than a flat set of lines, which makes the extend-until-broken behavior clean and predictable — each zone owns its own break detection logic
How to Use
Add the indicator to any chart and timeframe you actively trade. 1H and 4H are good starting points for swing traders; lower timeframes work but will produce more zones and benefit from a higher pivot lookback value
Identify the nearest active support zone (green) and resistance zone (red) — these are the first levels price is likely to react to
Watch for one of two outcomes: a controlled approach followed by rejection (fade setup), or a decisive close through the zone (breakout setup). The indicator labels the breakout or breakdown automatically

Customization
Pivot Lookback Length (default: 15) — Bars required on each side of a swing for confirmation. Lower values (5-10) produce smaller, more frequent zones suitable for scalping. Higher values (20-30) isolate only major structural swings and reduce chart clutter
Zone Width (ATR Multiplier) (default: 1.0) — Scales the ATR-derived zone thickness. Raise to 1.5-2.0 on volatile instruments where zones should absorb normal noise; lower to 0.5 for tighter precision-entry levels
Support / Resistance Color — Visual differentiation between bullish and bearish zones, their midlines, and labels
Zone Transparency (default: 85) — Controls the fill opacity of zone boxes. Values around 80-90 keep price action readable inside the zone
Limitations to Be Aware Of
The pivot confirmation delay equals the lookback length. A 15-bar lookback means the zone is drawn 15 bars after the actual swing high or low. This is fine for levels (they do not repaint) but unsuitable for entries at the exact swing bar
Zones do not automatically merge. When multiple pivots form within an ATR of each other, their zones will overlap on the chart. Increasing the pivot lookback reduces this visual clutter
Break detection uses close , not wicks. A bar can spike well beyond the zone and return inside without triggering a break — by design, but worth remembering on volatile instruments with large intrabar swings
