What it detects

Displacement FVGs — tagged when the middle candle of the 3-bar pattern (the actual displacement candle) trades through the most recent confirmed swing high or low, signalling a genuine structure break
HTF Alignment
FVGs from the next-higher relevant timeframe are automatically transposed onto the current chart as gray-shaded zones, making it easy to identify where higher-timeframe imbalances sit without switching charts.

Opening Range Strategies: Use the gap zones as immediate support and resistance for the first few hours of trading. Price will often test the edges of the gap before reversing or accelerating.
The "Gap Fill" Trade: If price enters the gap and gains momentum, it will often gravitate toward the opposite side of the gap (the "fill").
Midline Rejections: Watch price action closely as it approaches the gap's midline. The 50% level of a gap is a classic hidden barrier where intraday reversals frequently occur.

① WEEKLY LOCATION — the previous week's value area is the equilibrium. Price inside it = the 70 % phase → stand down. Price above VAH or below VAL = imbalance → hunt. The shaded zone on the chart is that balance; the background wash tells you at a glance which phase you are in (mint = imbalance up, red = imbalance down, gold = balance).
② EQUILIBRIUM TEST + REJECTION — the week opened outside the balance, price came back to TEST the weekly value area and was aggressively traded away from it again. That rejection is the proof that the market no longer wants to be in equilibrium.
③ TREND OF EQUILIBRIUM — the sequence of daily VPOCs. Rising VPOCs mean fair value itself is migrating up: the distribution of the participants' equilibrium is trending, which is exactly what a fast trade WITH the trend needs. Flat or overlapping VPOCs = balance = no trade. Drawn as a staircase over the session VPOCs.
④ PRIOR-DAY VALUE AREA BREAK — the previous session's value-area edge is transferred onto the execution timeframe as a thick green line. Price has to ACCELERATE through it, not drift.
⑤ SINGLE PRINTS — the indicator reads the running session's TPO grid and counts price rows that only ONE bar ever touched. Those rows are marked as a cyan SINGLE PRINT zone: the market moved so fast that no business was done there = aggressive buyers or sellers, not passive rotation.
⑥ P / b MICRO SHAPE — the micro profile of impulse + the small balance that forms on it is measured. POC in the upper part = P (aggressive buyers shifting equilibrium up) → long. POC in the lower part = b (sellers shifting it down) → short. A symmetric D is skipped. This is the P/b/D profile-shape logic used by two-time World Cup Championship of Futures Trading winner Patrick Nill.

Most FVG tools draw every three-candle gap and call it a day. Chart full of boxes, no way to tell which one was actually worth anything. This one scores the displacement that created each gap, tracks its fill lifecycle bar by bar, then bins every completed zone into quartiles and reports whether the score actually separated the good gaps from the noise — on your symbol, your timeframe.

THE MECHANICS
📐 Displacement score (0–100) — a weighted composite of gap size (in ATR), displacement-candle range (in ATR), and body/range ratio. Every weight and every normalization point ("gap ATR = full score at X") is a user input.
🔍 Measure-only probes — structure-break (did the displacement candle take out the most recent confirmed pivot?) and volume ratio (displacement volume vs. average) are computed, exported to alerts, and binned in the harness — kept out of the composite until they earn a place.

Nested FVG ProNested FVG Pro identifies a specific ICT confluence — a 1-minute Fair Value Gap forming inside an active 5-minute Fair Value Gap — and manages a complete multi-contract trade plan around each signal, with journalling that models how automated orders actually fill rather than assuming ideal prices.
HOW IT WORKS
5-minute context. The script aggregates 1-minute bars into rolling 5-minute candles and scans each completed triplet for a displacement gap: a bullish FVG (BISI) exists where the current candle's low sits above the high from two candles back; bearish (SIBI) is the mirror. Gaps must exceed a minimum size in points — set against your stop distance, so an imbalance smaller than meaningful displacement never becomes context. Qualifying zones are drawn and tracked.
Zone lifecycle. A zone is invalidated when price closes through its far side. Invalidated zones are not deleted immediately: they stop extending, dim, and remain on the chart for a configurable number of bars so past signals can be audited, and they are never removed while a trade is open. An active-zone cap per direction prevents stacking — in a sustained trend, zones pointing with the trend are never closed through, so without a cap they accumulate all session and progressively bias signal generation toward chasing the move.
Inversion mode (IFVG). A gap that price has closed through has failed. ICT treats the violated gap as flipped: a bullish FVG closed below becomes resistance, a bearish FVG closed above becomes support. In IFVG mode the invalidation event flips the zone's direction instead of retiring it, and signals are then taken as price returns into the zone from the other side. Inverted zones are colour-coded distinctly, expire on a configurable age, and retire permanently if closed through a second time. Signal Source selects virgin gaps, inverted gaps, or both.
1-minute trigger. On each confirmed 1-minute bar the script tests for a fresh 1-minute FVG using the same three-candle definition and its own minimum size. A signal fires only where that gap sits inside an eligible 5-minute zone of matching direction, within a proximity tolerance in points around the zone boundaries. The premise: a small-timeframe imbalance printing inside a larger unmitigated imbalance marks continuation pressure in the direction of the higher-timeframe displacement.
Signal gating. Cooldown between signals; a hardcoded one-trade-at-a-time block; an exchange-session filter; six independently configurable time windows with editable start and end times in a selectable timezone; and a daily loss limit in dollars that blocks new signals once reached. The daily reset and zone purge are driven by a change of CME trade date rather than a session-transition test, so they behave correctly regardless of whether bars print during the session gap.
Trade management. Each signal is managed as a ladder measured in points from the entry: a stop, a partial exit that optionally moves the stop to break-even, a main target, an extended target, and an optional fourth-contract runner target. All distances and per-level contract counts are inputs. A per-trade dollar maximum-loss exit closes the position on a confirmed bar if unrealised loss breaches the limit.
Optional entry laddering. Position size can be split across up to three legs — the signal bar's close, consequent encroachment (the 50% level of the 1-minute gap), and the gap's far edge — all sharing one structural stop, so each deeper leg risks fewer points than the one before. Fills are position-weighted and exit quantities are capped to what actually filled, so a trade that displaces immediately never sends exits for contracts it never bought. The trade-off is explicit: setups that run straight to target fill the smallest size while setups that retrace fill the largest.
Execution-modelled journalling — what makes this different. Most signal trackers book trades at exact level prices. In live automation, alerts fire once per bar close and fill as market orders, so real fills land at the trigger bar's close rather than at the level touched intrabar. This script separates plan levels, which drive the triggers, from booked fills, which drive the accounting: with fill booking enabled, every entry and exit in the Trade Tracker, Hourly and Weekly tables is recorded at the trigger bar's close plus a configurable per-fill slippage, and round-turn commissions are netted from every result. Levels can be anchored to the entry fill rather than the gap boundary, so a 20-point stop is 20 points from the price paid. Break-even moves to the position's weighted average fill, matching what a broker-side breakeven order does. The result is a journal that reconciles with a broker statement instead of an idealised one.
A/B variant lab. A read-only shadow journal replays every signal a second time under a different partial distance and break-even rule, reporting both policies side by side with the difference between them. It places no orders and never touches the live journal — it answers whether an exit-policy change would have helped on your own history rather than a hypothetical one.

The script emits complete JSON webhook payloads for every event — entry with quantity, order type and an optional attached stop so a real protective order rests at the broker; partial with an optional broker-side breakeven action; break-even scratch; each target; stop; and emergency exit — with quantities computed from the position-sizing inputs. One alert with the condition "Any alert() function call" drives all of it. Manual traders can ignore this entirely and trade the on-chart levels.
HOW TO USE
Apply to a 1-minute chart — the script builds its own 5-minute context, and other chart timeframes will not behave correctly. Set your ladder distances and dollar-per-point for the instrument, choose your windows and timezone, set the minimum gap sizes and proximity in points relative to your stop, and set the daily and per-trade loss limits. Signals print as triangles with the full R/R ladder drawn to the right; the Trade Tracker logs every signal's outcome net of modelled costs.
LIMITATIONS & NOTES
Outcome detection is evaluated on confirmed bars; live automated fills are bar-close market orders, which is precisely what the execution-modelled tables account for.

Core Concepts & Terminology
FRESH ZONE (0% - 20% Fill): These are levels with minimal prior price interaction. Because the limit orders resting here are largely untouched, these zones act as heavy repulsion areas. When price touches a Fresh Zone, expect a strong "ignition" or reaction.
LIQ VOID (90% - 100% Fill): These are levels where price has interacted heavily, completely depleting the resting limit orders. Because there is no resistance left, price will slice through these areas extremely fast.
The Trading Setup (How to Use)
This indicator is designed for precision entries and high-probability targeting using the following logic:
The Entry (Ignition): Look for trade setups when the price is at or immediately approaching a FRESH ZONE. These unmitigated zones offer the highest probability for a sharp reversal or bounce with excellent risk-to-reward ratios.
The Direction & Targets: Once you get a reaction from a Fresh Zone, look at the surrounding map. You want to trade in the direction of the 100% filled levels (LIQ VOIDs). Because these levels have zero order-book friction, they serve as the cleanest and most reliable Take-Profit (TP) targets. Price is magnetically drawn to these voids and will accelerate to fill them.
The High-Velocity Clusters: If you spot a cluster of fully filled (100%) lines packed closely together, do not attempt to trade reversals there. These clusters indicate massive structural gaps or high-speed transit zones. Expect aggressive, one-sided price action to blast through these clusters without hesitation.
Default Settings
Inertia Threshold (2.56): Filters out market noise and only maps levels that have true geometric weight.
Temporal Lookback (11): The period used to detect the foundational pivots.
Phi Sensitivity (0.382): Determines how close price action needs to be to merge levels and calculate kinetic mass.

- Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD): running buy-minus-sell volume, with Session / Day / Week / None reset anchoring and a Line, Columns or Candle display (candles show open = previous CVD, close = new CVD, wicks from the intrabar delta extremes). DELTA ENGINE (please read)
PulseWire does not provide a true bid/ask tick feed, so delta here is an approximation, not exchange order flow. Historical delta is estimated from lower-timeframe intrabars: an intrabar counts as buy volume when it closes above its open, sell volume when below, and is split evenly on an unchanged close. On the live bar you can optionally accumulate tick-based delta instead (uptick = buy, downtick = sell). Because PulseWire does not store ticks, realtime values built this way can differ from what the same bar shows after a chart refresh. Treat every delta value as an estimate.
ALERTS
Ten conditions: CVD bullish / bearish divergence, bullish / bearish imbalance, stacked bullish / bearish imbalance, absorption at highs / lows, and exhaustion top / bottom.
HOW TO USE
Add it to a symbol that has volume (crypto, futures or stocks — spot forex usually has no real volume, and the tool will tell you so). Intraday timeframes from about 1 minute to 1 hour work best. Turn on the modules you want, set the delta engine (lower-timeframe auto / manual, and optional realtime tick mode), and adjust the per-module thresholds and sizes. Use CVD and its divergences for momentum and non-confirmation, the footprint and profile to see where volume actually traded, and the imbalance / absorption / exhaustion signals as context around swings. Set alerts on any of the ten conditions.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
It combines CVD, footprint, imbalance / absorption and a volume profile in a single indicator, sharing one delta engine and drawing the price-chart modules through force_overlay from a lower pane — a combined order-flow view without stacking several scripts. Drawing counts are budgeted internally so the modules together stay within PulseWire's object limits.
REPAINTING & LIMITATIONS
Confirmed-bar behaviour is stable: footprints are built on closed bars, CVD divergences use confirmed pivots (so they appear a few bars after the pivot — normal pivot lag, not repainting), and the profile is computed over completed bars. The delta approximation is the main caveat: the live bar's delta is an estimate, and if you enable realtime tick mode, the live values will not match the same bar's historical lower-timeframe values after a refresh — this is inherent to how PulseWire exposes data and is noted in the input tooltips. One-second intrabars need a plan with seconds data; without it the tool uses a one-minute fallback, and very old bars beyond the intrabar budget fall back to whole-bar classification. A symbol with no volume cannot produce delta and will show a notice instead.

Smart FVG by EonMetricsSMART FVG
What it does
A "Fair Value Gap" (FVG) is a small gap left behind in price when a move happens so fast that a whole price area gets skipped over — nobody actually traded there. It shows up as a gap between three candles in a row. These gaps often get "filled" later, meaning price comes back to trade through that skipped area before continuing on its way (or reversing). This indicator finds these gaps automatically and draws a box around each one.
It also tells you which gaps look more important: a gap is marked "STRONG" only when BOTH of these are true at the same time — the gap is unusually large (measured against recent average volatility) AND the candle that created it traded on unusually high volume. Both conditions have to be true together; a big gap on quiet volume, or high volume with only a small gap, does not count as Strong. This two-part check is stricter than simply flagging "any big gap," which is what most similar tools do.
How to actually use it (step by step)
Let gaps form naturally as price moves. Each one is drawn as a colored box — green/cyan-ish tones for bullish (demand) gaps, red/orange tones for bearish (supply) gaps.
Pay extra attention to boxes marked "STRONG" — these represent a real, forceful, high-conviction move, not just random noise.
When price comes back down (or up) into a gap box, that's a potential trade opportunity — buy near a bullish gap, sell near a bearish gap — especially reacting at the dotted 50% line drawn through the middle of the box.
Look at the small number in the corner of each box — it counts how many candles ago the gap formed. A small number (fresh gap) is generally considered more reliable than a large number (old, already-tested-many-times gap).
If you turn on the higher-timeframe overlay, you'll also see gaps from a bigger timeframe (marked "HTF") plotted directly on your current chart — these represent bigger, more significant levels than same-timeframe gaps.

Visualization group
Bullish FVG / Bearish FVG — the fill color for ordinary gaps.
Strong Bullish FVG / Strong Bearish FVG — the fill color for gaps that pass the "Strong" test above.
Show 50% Line (EQ) — draws a line through the exact middle of every gap box; this is a common spot for price to react to.

Width Mode — controls how far the box stretches to the right: "Dynamic" keeps growing the box to reach today's candle in real time, "Fixed" stops the box at a set number of candles wide, "Extended" stretches the box all the way to the right edge of your screen forever.
Fixed Width (bars) — how many candles wide the box is, only used when Width Mode is set to Fixed.
Min FVG Size (x ATR) — the smallest gap size the script will bother drawing, measured against recent average volatility. Raise this to ignore tiny, insignificant gaps; set to 0 to see every gap no matter how small.
Mitigation group (mitigation = "price has now traded back through the gap")
Delete Mitigated Zones — when turned on, a gap box disappears completely once price fills it. When off, it stops growing and stays on the chart as a faded historical marker.
Mitigation Level — decide what counts as "filled": either price reaching the halfway (50%) point of the gap, or price completely closing the entire gap.
Mitigation Confirmation — decide what counts as reaching that level: any wick poking into it ("Wicks"), or a full candle close past it ("Close" — stricter, fewer false triggers).
Imbalance Age group
Show Age Label — displays a small number (like "34b") showing how many candles ago the gap was created.
Fade Old Zones — when turned on, gap boxes slowly become more transparent as they age, so your eye is naturally drawn to the freshest ones.
Max Age for Full Fade (bars) — how many candles it takes for a gap to reach maximum fade/transparency.
Strong Imbalance group
Mark Strong Imbalances — master on/off switch for the whole Strong-gap detection described above.
Min Gap Size (x ATR) — how big the gap must be (relative to recent volatility) to count toward "Strong" — this is one of the two required conditions.
Min Volume (x SMA 20) — how much higher than the recent 20-candle average volume the gap-forming candle's volume must be — this is the second required condition. Both this and the size condition must be true at the same time.
Show 'STRONG' Tag — shows the word "STRONG" written inside qualifying gap boxes.
Labels group
Show Labels — master switch for all text written inside gap boxes (age number, STRONG tag, HTF tag). Turn this off to hide all text and keep only the colored boxes.

Market Microstructure Pulse [JOAT]MARKET MICROSTRUCTURE PULSE
A composite microstructure oscillator that fuses three lower-timeframe-reconstructed flow primitives into a single bounded pulse line — the tick imbalance, the aggressive ask/bid streak, and the single-bar massive imbalance event. The pulse tells you in one number whether buyers or sellers are currently dominant at the tape level, and whether that dominance is at warning or extreme intensity.
Lower-timeframe reconstruction
Real microstructure lives below the chart timeframe. The pulse engine pulls intrabar prints from a configurable LTF (default 1 minute; auto-mode picks ~1/20 of the chart TF) and classifies each tick via the standard tick rule. The classified ticks are then EMA-smoothed by a configurable pulse length (default 14) and optionally volume-weighted (default ON) so a heavy print contributes proportionally more to the read than a light one.
The output is a smoothed signed value bounded approximately in where:
+1 — all recent ticks were buy-classified.
−1 — all recent ticks were sell-classified.
0 — perfectly balanced flow.
Aggressive streak histograms
Two separate counters track consecutive same-side ticks — one for aggressive asks, one for aggressive bids. When a streak exceeds the Aggressive Streak Min threshold (default 5), it qualifies as institutional persistence. The two histograms are rendered as a colour-coded background to the pulse line so you can see at a glance which side has been running consecutively. EMA-smoothed for visual stability.
Massive imbalance event
A single-bar event: when one side's share of total bar volume exceeds imbalancePct (default 80%), a Massive Imbalance event fires. This is the script's strongest single-bar read — institutional decisiveness landing on the tape.
Two-tier threshold system
Pulse Warning — |pulse| above the warning threshold (default 0.50). Inner band, visual reference.
Pulse Extreme — |pulse| above the extreme threshold (default 0.70). Triggers the Pulse Extreme alert and tints the chart background.
A toggleable Aggression Flip Marker prints a glyph at the bar where the pulse sign actually flips — useful for catching the moment dominance rotates sides.

Pulse Extreme — fires when |pulse| crosses above extreme threshold.
Aggression Flip — fires when pulse sign flips (positive ↔ negative).
Massive Imbalance — fires when a single bar's directional share exceeds the imbalance threshold.
How to read it
Three reads, in order of conviction:
Massive Imbalance alert at a structural level — the highest-conviction single read. Institutional decisiveness landed on the tape at a known S/R; the next directional move is more conviction-aligned with the imbalance side.
Pulse Extreme + matching aggressive streak — sustained dominance. The pulse is decisively past its extreme threshold AND the streak histograms show consecutive same-side runs above the streak minimum. This is the regime where momentum tools have their largest edge.
Aggression Flip after extreme — exhaustion read. The pulse hit extreme then flipped sign; the institutional commitment that drove the extreme has just rotated. Often produces clean reversals.
Suggested settings
Defaults (1m LTF, pulse EMA 14, streak EMA 7, volume-weighted ON, ±0.50 / ±0.70 thresholds, 80% imbalance, 5-tick streak min) are tuned for 5m–15m charts on liquid futures and crypto. For lower-timeframe scalping, drop LTF to 15s or 30s (Premium plan required) and pulse EMA to 8. For HTF, set LTF auto-mode and raise streak min to 10. The volume-weighting is the recommended default — without it, equal-tick instruments dominate the read regardless of size.

OVERVIEW
FVG Imbalance Tracker automatically detects, draws and tracks Fair Value Gaps (FVG), also known as imbalances. It marks each gap as a zone, extends it until price returns, and tells you when the gap has been mitigated (filled). An optional 50% midline (Consequent Encroachment / CE) and a higher-timeframe table give you context at a glance.
WHAT IS A FAIR VALUE GAP
A Fair Value Gap is a three-candle pattern where the first and third candles do not overlap, leaving a price range that was crossed in a single, one-sided move:
- Bullish FVG: the low of candle 3 is above the high of candle 1.
- Bearish FVG: the high of candle 3 is below the low of candle 1.
That untraded range is an imbalance. Price frequently returns to it later to "rebalance" before continuing, which is why these zones are useful as potential reaction areas.
HOW IT WORKS
1. On the close of every third candle, the script checks for a gap between candle 1 and candle 3.
2. If a gap is found (and passes the optional ATR size filter), a zone is drawn from the pattern to the right.
3. Each zone keeps extending until it is mitigated. You choose what mitigation means:
- Full fill: price fully closes the gap.
- 50% (CE): price reaches the midpoint (Consequent Encroachment).
- Touch: price reaches the near edge of the gap.
4. Once mitigated, the zone is dimmed and stops extending (or is removed, if you prefer).
HOW TO READ IT
- Green zones = bullish Fair Value Gaps (potential demand / support areas).
- Red zones = bearish Fair Value Gaps (potential supply / resistance areas).
- Solid, extending zone = still unmitigated.
- Dimmed zone = already mitigated.
- Dotted midline = the 50% (CE) level of the gap.
- Multi-timeframe table: shows the latest imbalance direction on three higher timeframes (Bull / Bear / –) for higher-timeframe context.
SETTINGS
- Detection: optional ATR filter to ignore small gaps, ATR length, minimum gap size (× ATR), and maximum gaps kept per side.
- Mitigation: choose Full fill, 50% (CE) or Touch, and whether mitigated gaps stay dimmed or are removed.
- Visual: colors for bullish/bearish gaps, box transparency, optional border, optional 50% midline, optional labels, label size.
- Multi-timeframe table: enable/disable, the three timeframes, and table position.
REPAINTING
Gaps are confirmed on the close of the third candle, so a zone does not appear and then disappear intrabar.
ALERTS
Three alerts are available: "New bullish FVG", "New bearish FVG" and "FVG mitigated". Add them from the alert dialog and set them to trigger once per bar close.

Three modes, behaviourally identical:
Footprint API — uses request.footprint() with a configurable aggregation (Auto / 1m / 3m / 5m / 15m / 30m). Native bid/ask volume per row when your plan supports it.
Reconstructed — uses request.security_lower_tf() to sample intrabar prints, then assigns each tick to buy or sell via the standard tick rule. Configurable LTF (1m / 3m / 5m / 15m / 30m).
Auto — picks Footprint when available, falls back to Reconstructed. The recommended default.
A configurable Profile Rows input (default 24, max 80) sets the vertical resolution — each chart bar's intrabar volume is bucketed into N horizontal price slices and the footprint is built from those buckets.
Imbalance detection (Bookmap diagonal)
The institutional definition of an imbalance is diagonal , not lateral :
A buy row is imbalanced when buy ≥ ratio × sell (this row's buys vs the row below it's sells).
A sell row is imbalanced when sell ≥ ratio × buy (this row's sells vs the row above it's buys).
The ratio is configurable (default 3.0× — the institutional norm). An optional minimum-row-volume filter mutes illiquid wick rows from being counted as imbalances. When N or more same-side imbalances occur inside a single bar, the Burst alert fires.
Stacked imbalance zones (the headline)
Stacked imbalances are the textbook order-flow structural read: N consecutive same-side imbalanced rows on top of each other. They mark where price had to gap through multiple thin levels to print — and they are reliable revisit zones.
Minimum stack count is configurable (default 4 consecutive rows).
Each stack zone is drawn as a box extending right by a configurable bar count.
Optional glow border on stack zones (toggleable).
Maximum active zones is capped (default 8) — older zones shift out FIFO.
POC + Value Area
Per-bar Point of Control (the row with the highest volume), Value Area High and Value Area Low (the 70%-volume centred range) are computed and toggleable. POC is rendered as a dot; VAH / VAL as lines. A configurable POC Shift Threshold (in mintick units) fires the POC Shift alert when the POC jumps more than the threshold bar-over-bar.
Delta flip detection
Per-bar delta (buy − sell) is computed continuously. The delta-flip alert fires only when delta switches sign after at least N consecutive same-sign bars (configurable, default 5). This filters out the micro-fluctuations that pure-sign-flip detectors would noise on.
Per-bar footprint ladder (optional, heavy)
When enabled, inline labels at every row of every recent bar (configurable history depth) show the buy × sell tuple per row — the full Bookmap-style read. This is visually rich but rendering-heavy; keep it off when scrolling long histories or running on low-end hardware.

How to read it
Three reads, in order of conviction:
Stacked imbalance zone — the highest-conviction read. Price had to plough through multiple thin levels to print. Future revisits are reliable reactive zones.
Delta flip after run — regime-change signal. When delta has been net-buying for many bars and finally flips net-selling, the auction direction has just rotated.
POC shift through a structural level — value migration. When the POC moves through a previous-day VAH or VAL, value has migrated and the next session's bias often follows.
Suggested settings
Defaults (1m reconstruction LTF, 24 rows, 3.0× imbalance ratio, 4-stack minimum) are tuned for 5m–15m charts on liquid markets. For 1m scalping, drop rows to 16 and stack minimum to 3. For HTF macro (1H+), raise rows to 36 and stack minimum to 5. The 3.0× imbalance ratio is the institutional Bookmap norm; tighten to 2.5× for more frequent imbalance prints.

A bar-level bid/ask proxy is computed from close position within the high-low range. A 93% decay factor is applied each bar, producing a running imbalance score that emphasizes recent activity while retaining historical context.
4. Four-State Regime Classification
The regime is determined by two binary conditions: ADX above threshold (trending vs. ranging) and ATR ratio above threshold (high vs. low volatility). This produces four states: Trend Bull, Trend Bear, Range High-Vol, Range Low-Vol. Each state receives a distinct background tint. How to Use This Indicator
Step 1: Identify the Regime
Check the dashboard Regime row. Smart money signals only fire in Trend Bull or Trend Bear states. During Range states, no signals are generated regardless of VWM direction.
Step 2: Watch for VWM Zero Cross
The VWM crossing zero in the direction of the trend regime is the primary trigger. Ensure no vacuum is active on the signal bar — vacuum bars inhibit signals because they represent suspect moves without genuine counterparty support.
Step 3: Check Imbalance Score
The imbalance score reflects cumulative directional bias in bid/ask proxy. A score above the gate threshold in the trend direction adds confidence. A score contradicting the trend direction is a warning.
Step 4: Use IR Bands as Dynamic Reference
The Information Ratio bands widen in low-Sharpe environments (price distributing far from VWAP) and narrow in high-Sharpe environments (price efficiently priced near VWAP). These bands serve as dynamic reference levels rather than fixed targets.
Indicator Limitations
VWM uses tick volume as a proxy for institutional participation. On forex spot and some crypto venues, tick volume may not accurately represent actual participation
The microstructure imbalance score uses bar close position as a bid/ask proxy. This is an approximation — actual bid-ask data is not available in standard PulseWire data
Regime classification uses ADX and ATR ratio, both of which lag price. A trend beginning explosively will be classified as ranging for several bars until indicators respond
The Information Ratio Band width is driven by a 20-bar Sharpe estimate, which is an extremely short window for a reliable Sharpe computation. It should be interpreted as a dynamic band-width scaler rather than a statistically significant Sharpe ratio

HTF Profile Projection is a live higher-timeframe X-ray. It takes the current, still-forming candle of a higher timeframe (for example the 4H or Daily candle) and projects it to the right of live price, then fills it with a horizontal profile that shows what is happening INSIDE that candle: where volume is concentrating, where buyers or sellers are dominating each price zone, and where price moved through empty space.
The goal is to let a trader read the internal structure of the higher-timeframe candle without leaving the current chart. Instead of seeing the 4H candle as a single block, you see its anatomy — the price levels that hold the most activity, the zones controlled by buyers versus sellers, and the thin gaps the candle ran through quickly. Every bar in the profile is built from real chart-bar data accumulated since the higher-timeframe candle opened, not drawn manually.
WHAT IS THE THEORY BEHIND THIS INDICATOR?
A higher-timeframe candle is a summary. A single 4H or Daily candle compresses hours of two-sided auction into one open, high, low, and close — and in doing so it hides where the volume actually traded and which side was in control at each price. Two candles with an identical body and identical range can have completely different internal structures: one built on heavy buying absorbed near the lows, the other on distribution near the highs. The standard candle cannot show that difference.
Most tools that try to surface this are built around the wrong constraint. Single-timeframe volume profiles describe the visible range, not the live higher-timeframe candle. Intrabar dissection tools that read true sub-candle data depend on functions that require additional data subscriptions and will not load on standard plans.
HTF Profile Projection takes a different route: it accumulates the chart's own bars since the higher-timeframe candle opened, and distributes each bar's activity across the price range it actually traversed. This reconstructs the internal volume and directional balance of the forming higher-timeframe candle using only standard data feeds — and projects it forward as a single, readable object.
The practical value: when price returns to a higher-timeframe candle later, the levels that mattered inside it — the high-volume node, the buyer- or seller-dominated zones, the empty imbalance gaps — are common revisit and reaction areas. Seeing them while the candle is still forming gives structural context that the candle body alone cannot.
HTF PROFILE PROJECTION FEATURES

PROJECTED HTF CANDLE
🔹 What It Does
Reads the live, still-forming higher-timeframe candle and draws it (body + wicks) to the right of live price, color-coded by its direction. The horizontal profile attaches inside its price range.
🔹 Method
The higher-timeframe OHLCV is read via request.security() with lookahead=barmerge.lookahead_off, so no future information is used. The candle and its profile update in real time as the higher-timeframe bar forms — the intended live behavior — and reset cleanly when a new higher-timeframe period opens. If the chart timeframe is at or above the selected higher timeframe, the profile is hidden and a guard note is shown, because one chart bar covering the whole period cannot produce a meaningful internal read.
RANGE-SPREAD MOVEMENT PROFILE
🔹 What It Does
Splits the higher-timeframe candle's range into horizontal price buckets and fills each with the activity that occurred there.
🔹 Method
Since the higher-timeframe candle opened, each chart bar's volume and signed direction are accumulated, then distributed across every bucket the bar's low–high range spans — not dumped at a single midpoint. This range-spread approach makes both the per-zone volume and the per-zone buy/sell balance reflect where price actually traded inside the candle, rather than collapsing onto one level.
AUTOMATIC RESOLUTION
🔹 What It Does
The number of price buckets is chosen automatically from volatility. The higher-timeframe range is divided by the average chart-candle size (ATR), so each fraction of the profile corresponds to roughly one typical move of the chart timeframe.
🔹 Why It Matters
Calmer markets produce a finer profile; volatile markets produce a coarser one. The resolution matches the instrument and timeframe automatically, bounded between 4 and 50 buckets to keep the chart readable.
BUY/SELL DOMINANCE (DELTA MODE)
🔹 What It Does
In Delta mode (the default), each zone is colored by which side dominated: green for net buyers, red for net sellers, and gray for balanced zones where heavy two-way trade produced no clear winner. Bar length shows the magnitude of the imbalance.
🔹 Method
Each chart bar is classified by the sign of close versus open and contributes its volume as signed activity (+ for an up bar, − for a down bar). The net per zone is a direction-based proxy for buy/sell pressure, computed locally on standard data feeds — it is not exchange order-flow data, which Pine cannot access without additional subscriptions.
🔹 Volume Mode
Switching Source Metric to Volume colors the profile by a cold-to-hot intensity gradient instead, showing how much traded at each price regardless of direction.
IMBALANCE ZONES
🔹 What It Does
Price zones with little or no activity render distinctly. A contiguous run of empty buckets marks an imbalance — a price range the higher-timeframe candle moved through quickly with little participation.
🔹 Why It Matters
These gaps are not drawn as separate boxes; they emerge from the ABSENCE of activity in the profile. They are common revisit targets, since price often returns to fill ranges it previously skipped.
POINT OF CONTROL MARKER
🔹 What It Does
A horizontal marker tags the dominant bucket — the price level with the most activity (Volume mode) or the strongest net dominance (Delta mode). A label reports that level's share of the period's total.
LIVE INFO PANEL
🔹 What It Shows
A compact corner panel reports the higher timeframe in use, the percentage of the period elapsed, the Point of Control price, the number of imbalance zones, and the total higher-timeframe volume. When the chart-timeframe guard is active, the panel collapses to a single notice so the user always gets feedback.
🔹 Customization
The panel can be placed in any of the four chart corners and rendered in several font sizes. The display language is controlled by the System Language input.
HOW TO USE
This indicator is not a signal generator. It is a structural X-ray: it shows the internal anatomy of the forming higher-timeframe candle.
🔹 Setup
Set the Higher Timeframe input above your current chart timeframe (for example chart 15m, HTF 4H). The forward candle appears to the right of live price. If the chart timeframe is at or above the HTF, the profile hides and the guard note appears.
🔹 Reading Delta Mode (default)
Green zones mark prices where buyers dominated, red where sellers dominated, gray where the auction was balanced. The Point of Control marks the most decisive level inside the candle.
🔹 Reading Volume Mode
The rainbow profile shows where the most volume traded. Long bars are high-activity nodes; gaps are low-volume imbalance zones.

IMPORTANT NOTES
HTF Profile Projection works on any chart timeframe below the selected higher timeframe. It is built for liquid instruments with reliable volume data: crypto perpetual contracts, large-cap equities, futures, major forex pairs. On low-volume instruments the profile becomes less reliable.
This is a real-time tool. The forming higher-timeframe candle and its profile update intra-period by design; the profile resets when a new higher-timeframe period opens. It uses only request.security() and chart-bar accumulation, so it runs on standard data feeds without footprint() or request.security_lower_tf().

UNIQUENESS
HTF Profile Projection is unique in how it unifies three reads into one object. Most higher-timeframe context tools stack separate features: a candle outline, fair-value-gap rectangles, and volume-spike markers. This indicator merges them — the forward higher-timeframe candle and its volume-by-price profile are a single object. High-activity zones appear as the profile's longest bars; imbalance zones are not drawn at all, they emerge from the absence of activity in the profile. What makes it different
Traditional volume profile shows raw volume distribution. Aurora Compass weights each candle's contribution by a normalized Negative Volume Index delta, emphasising bars where institutions tend to transact (NVI-up days). The result highlights levels of smart-money concentration, not just raw turnover.
Full-chart-width HVN zone boxes (not just thin borders) make the top three nodes obvious across the entire visible price history.

How it works
Higher-timeframe rollover is detected via ta.change(htfTf). No request.security is used. The profile is constructed from local bars within the interval.
The price range within the active interval is binned into res slices. For each bin, the script accumulates total volume and smart-money-weighted signed volume.
POC is the bin midpoint with the maximum total volume. Value Area is computed by expanding outward from POC until cumulative volume reaches 70%.
Top three bins by volume become HVNs. Bottom three become LVNs, where breakouts tend to accelerate through low-resistance areas.
Sweep markers fire when a wick pierces an HVN boundary and the body closes the other side.
POC drift in ATR units is tracked across interval boundaries. Imbalance is the absolute net signed volume divided by total volume.
Reading the chart
Heatmap boxes for each bin, transparency-modulated by relative volume share. Smart-money weighting tints them mint or red according to net flow direction.
POC dashed horizontal line extends across the visible chart with a right-edge price label that includes the inter-interval drift in ATR units.

How traders use this
HVN reactions : the top-three HVN zones are the levels most likely to attract price retests. Look for rejections or breakouts at these levels.
LVN acceleration : when price enters a low-volume bin, expected travel speed is faster. These are thin-air zones useful for measured-move targets.
Sweep then reclaim : a bull sweep where price wicks below an HVN and closes above is a classic stop-hunt-then-reverse pattern.
POC drift : a series of mint trail segments showing upward POC migration across multiple HTF intervals is a structural up-trend signal independent of price action on the LTF.
Value Area : trading within Value Area is range / rotation behavior. Trading outside is trend / discovery behavior.
Limitations
The profile is built from local LTF bars within an HTF interval. Resolution and quality scale with how many LTF bars fit in the HTF window. Daily HTF with 1-minute LTF gives the richest profile.
Smart-money weighting via NVI is a proxy. It is not a substitute for true tick-level order-flow data.
HVN / LVN selection is recomputed each bar and may shift as new volume arrives within an interval. Once the interval closes the profile is locked.
For very illiquid instruments the profile is sparse and the levels are less informative.
Compatibility

Introduction
Delta Imbalance Map is an open-source imbalance mapping tool that identifies fair value gaps and scores them using gap size, candle drive, volume rank, and lower-timeframe participation tilt. The goal is to show not only where an imbalance exists, but whether the participation behind it is meaningfully tilted.
The problem this indicator solves is noisy zone plotting. Many imbalance tools mark every three-bar gap with equal importance. Delta Imbalance Map uses permissive defaults so important gaps appear often, then manages overlap so newer or stronger zones replace stale overlapping zones. Each active zone can carry its own compact right-edge data tag with price range, score, participation lead, and gap size in ATR units.
Core Concepts
1. Three-Bar Imbalance Detection
The script detects bullish gaps when the current low is above the high two bars back, and bearish gaps when the current high is below the low two bars back.
bullGap = low > high
bearGap = high < low
2. Lower-Timeframe Participation Split
The script requests lower-timeframe volume, close, and open arrays. Intrabars closing up are counted as buyer participation, intrabars closing down are counted as seller participation, and flat intrabars are split.
3. Composite Zone Score
Each new zone receives a quality score from gap size relative to ATR, lower-timeframe tilt, candle body drive, and volume rank. Optional minimum tilt and volume-rank inputs can tighten the feed when a chart becomes too busy.
4. Overlap Management
If a new zone overlaps an existing zone, filled overlaps are cleared and active overlaps are resolved by score. This keeps a generous stream of zones without stacking many boxes at the same price.
5. Zone Rails and Data Tags
Each imbalance draws a subtle outer glow box, direction-colored gradient edge, green buy-participation section, red sell-participation section, dashed top and bottom price rails, a dotted internal participation split line, and compact labels beside the related zone. Indicator Limitations
Lower-timeframe participation is a candle-direction volume proxy, not true bid/ask delta
Some lower timeframes may not be available on every PulseWire plan or symbol
Fair value gaps can remain open for long periods or fail to react when revisited
Signals and zones are created on confirmed bars to reduce repaint risk
