It answers a specific and persistent question that many traders examine manually: how often, in which direction, and by how much does this instrument gap between sessions?
Gap behavior is one of the most systematically consistent patterns across many instruments. Session close-to-open gaps represent a measurable directional displacement — one that either fills (mean reverts) or extends (confirms momentum) in predictable proportions over sufficiently large samples. Session Pulse automates the data collection and visualization for that entire analysis, providing live cumulative statistics on gap frequency, average gap size, maximum gap, and directional bias, refreshed on every bar.
Core Concepts
1. Session Detection
Each of the three sessions (Asia, London, New York) is detected using Pine Script's time() function with a user-configurable session string and timezone. Session transitions are identified by comparing the current bar's session membership to the previous bar's membership. A session start occurs on the first bar where the current bar is inside the session and the previous bar was outside:

2. Gap Calculation and Categorization
A gap is calculated at each session open as the difference between the current bar's open and the previous bar's close, expressed as a percentage of the previous close. Gaps are categorized as Gap Up (positive gap, open above prior close) or Gap Down (negative gap, open below prior close). A minimum gap percentage threshold filters out negligible noise-level gaps that do not qualify as meaningful session displacements:

3. Session Boundary Visualization
At each session start, a vertical dotted line is drawn extending across the chart, and a labeled arrow points down from the top of the price range with the session name (ASIA, LONDON, NEW YORK). The lines and labels are drawn live on the current bar and persist across the chart history:

4. Cumulative Statistics Accumulation
Statistics are accumulated across the full chart history using running counters and accumulators for each direction. For each session type (Asia, London, NY), the indicator tracks: total gap count by direction, cumulative gap size sum for average computation, and the maximum gap in each direction. These statistics build bar by bar and display the full historical picture at any point in time:

How to Use This Indicator
Step 1: Read the Directional Bias
The summary row of the statistics table shows Up Bias % — the percentage of all gaps that have been upward. An Up Bias above 60% on a large sample indicates this instrument has a persistent tendency to gap up at session opens. This is the first, most actionable piece of information from the table.
Step 2: Compare Average Gap Sizes
The average gap rows for Gap Up and Gap Down show the typical magnitude of each type. If the average Gap Down is significantly larger than the average Gap Up, the downside gaps — when they occur — tend to be more violent even if they are less frequent. This asymmetry has implications for stop sizing around session opens.
Step 3: Use Maximum Gap for Range Planning
The maximum gap rows show the largest gap in each direction recorded on the chart. This establishes the worst-case session displacement for this instrument at the current timeframe — useful for setting session-open risk boundaries.
Step 4: Use Session Boundary Lines for Chart Context
The vertical lines with session name labels divide the chart into session periods. On lower timeframes this makes it immediately clear which session each group of bars belongs to, providing context for patterns that occur predominantly in specific sessions.
Step 5: Monitor for Session Open Alerts
Set the session open alerts to receive notifications at each session transition. This is particularly useful on instruments where specific sessions (London or New York) have consistent volatility expansion patterns at open.
Indicator Limitations
Gap detection measures the open of the first bar inside a session versus the close of the last bar outside the session. On timeframes where session transitions do not align cleanly with bar boundaries, gaps may be slightly misattributed
On instruments that trade continuously (24/7 crypto) with no actual session close, the concept of a gap between sessions is less meaningful — the session boundaries exist but price does not actually stop between them
The minimum gap filter is a flat percentage threshold. Instruments with different typical volatility levels require different minimum gap values to produce meaningful categorization
Statistics accumulate from the beginning of the chart's data history. On very long charts or charts with intraday data going back years, early data may represent a different market regime than the current one, diluting the relevance of cumulative statistics
This indicator tracks and categorizes gaps. It does not predict gap fill probability, gap extension probability, or provide entry/exit signals

Most Silver Bullet scripts either draw static colored backgrounds with no analytical value, or detect FVGs across the entire session and overwhelm the chart. This script does neither. It enforces a strict discipline: FVGs are only drawn if they form INSIDE an active Silver Bullet window. Outside-window price action is deliberately ignored. The result is a chart where every marked imbalance carries ICT-legitimate timing context — not noise. 🔹 Methodology
The indicator evaluates the current bar's hour and minute in a user-selectable timezone (New York default, per ICT standard) and identifies three windows: London (03:00–04:00), AM (10:00–11:00), and PM (14:00–15:00). During each window, a three-bar FVG check is performed on confirmed bars: a bullish FVG requires the current bar's low to exceed the high two bars back; a bearish FVG requires the current bar's high to fall below the low two bars back. Gaps are filtered by a user-tunable ATR(14) multiplier to reject insignificant imbalances. Valid FVGs are rendered as time-anchored rectangular zones that extend a configurable number of bars into the future and are marked as mitigated the moment price revisits the opposite side of the gap.
A built-in timeframe guard disables rendering on timeframes of 1 hour and above, because Silver Bullet windows are exactly 1 hour long and cannot be resolved by bars equal to or larger than the window itself. On HTF charts, the panel displays a clean warning message instead of a broken visual.

Use the FVG zone as a retest entry reference with risk defined beyond the gap. The panel's countdown and per-window FVG tally help you gauge window quality in real time. At the end of each day, the L / AM / PM tally shows which window produced the most imbalances — a quick read on session character.
🔹 Limitations & Transparency
This indicator does not predict direction. It does not backtest or display historical win rates — such figures on a time-window tool would be statistically misleading without an execution model. FVG detection uses the standard 3-bar definition; alternative definitions (implied fair value, BPR, inversion FVGs, etc.) are not covered by design. The tool is timezone-sensitive: if your data feed's timestamps drift from the selected timezone's DST boundaries, window alignment can shift by one bar around DST transitions. On timeframes equal to or greater than 1 hour, the script deliberately disables all rendering to avoid producing a misleading visual.

Overview
The Unicorn Model Detector identifies one of the most discussed setups in Inner Circle Trader (ICT) and Smart Money Concepts literature: the Unicorn Model. A Unicorn forms when a Breaker Block and a Fair Value Gap (FVG) overlap inside the same price zone — a pocket where prior swing liquidity has been swept and an unfilled imbalance still exists at the retest. The detector scans for these overlaps, tracks every occurrence through its full lifecycle, and reports aggregate statistics in a compact on-chart panel. It is a detection and bookkeeping tool, not a trading strategy.
Unique Edge
Most breaker and FVG scripts publish either zones in isolation or require the user to eyeball the overlap. This detector does the overlap match automatically and only draws a zone when both conditions are present on the same chart area with the same directional bias. A strict causality rule is enforced — the Breaker must form first (after liquidity sweep) and the FVG must appear during or after the retest, which matches the true ICT Unicorn definition. A pairing that consumes a given breaker and FVG is removed from future candidate pools, so the chart never stacks redundant zones from the same source structure. A Loose overlap mode is also provided for users who prefer an ATR-based proximity interpretation instead of strict geometric intersection.
Methodology
1. Swing pivots are detected with a configurable left/right length using ta.pivothigh and ta.pivotlow.
2. When a confirmed pivot forms, the body range of the pivot bar is stored as the potential Breaker source zone.
3. A Breaker Block is registered when price closes through the previous-bar swing level in the opposite direction.
4. A Fair Value Gap is registered when a 3-bar formation produces an unfilled imbalance (low > high for bullish, high < low for bearish) and the gap exceeds a user-defined ATR multiple.
5. A Unicorn is spawned when a same-direction Breaker zone and FVG zone overlap vertically AND the FVG formed at or after the Breaker (causality check).
6. A configurable cooldown prevents consecutive spawns from clustering, improving signal hygiene.
7. The overlap rectangle becomes the tracked zone. Zone mid is the reference entry, the stop is placed 0.4 times the zone height beyond the structure boundary, and the target is projected at the user-defined R-multiple.

Once detected, each zone is stored, rendered, tracked through time, and updated as price interacts with it.
Instead of stopping at basic FVG detection, this script continues to follow the structure after creation. It monitors whether the gap remains active, whether price returns into it, whether mitigation occurs, how old the structure has become, and how strong or weak that mitigation event appears relative to the gap itself.

METHODOLOGY
1) Detection Logic
The script scans for standard 3-bar fair value gap structures.
Bullish FVG:
current low > high from two bars back
Bearish FVG:

A minimum size filter relative to ATR is applied so that very small gaps can be ignored when desired.
2) Structure Tracking
After detection, each FVG is stored and tracked over time. The script keeps the zone on the chart, extends active zones forward when enabled, and updates their visual state as the market evolves.
This allows the chart to preserve the structural memory of imbalance zones instead of treating every new gap as an isolated event.
3) Aging and Visual Decay
Older gaps gradually lose visual priority through fade logic. This helps newer or more relevant structures stay readable while old zones move into the background.
Optional controls can also suppress distant legacy zones when they become both old and far from current price.
4) Mitigation Logic
The script monitors how deeply price returns into each gap. When the user-defined mitigation threshold is reached, the FVG is marked as mitigated.

The Session Confluence Tracker is an open-source overlay indicator that monitors the Asian, London, and New York trading sessions simultaneously, tracking each session's high and low, counting consecutive bullish or bearish sessions (streaks), detecting overstretch conditions, and identifying confluence zones where multiple sessions share overlapping price levels. It gives traders a structured view of how liquidity develops across the global trading day and where institutional interest is concentrating.
Built with Pine Script v6, the indicator uses custom types for session data, streak tracking, confluence zones, session momentum, session gaps, and session pivots.
Why This Indicator Exists
Session-based analysis is a cornerstone of institutional trading. Different sessions have distinct characteristics — the Asian session often establishes a range, London tends to break that range, and New York frequently continues or reverses the London move. However, most session indicators simply draw boxes around session times. This indicator goes further by:
Streak analysis: Counts how many consecutive sessions have been bullish or bearish, revealing directional persistence that simple session boxes cannot show
Overstretch detection: Compares the current session's range to its historical average. When a session extends significantly beyond its norm (configurable ratio, default 1.5x), it flags a potential exhaustion point
Confluence detection: Identifies price levels where two or more sessions share overlapping highs or lows within a configurable tolerance, highlighting zones of multi-session institutional agreement
Session momentum: Tracks the directional strength within each session, not just whether it closed up or down
Gap detection: Monitors gaps between session closes and opens, which often act as magnets for price
Core Components Explained
1. Multi-Session Tracking
The indicator tracks three configurable sessions with default times aligned to major global markets:
Asian Session: Default 1800-0300 (EST) — typically the lowest volatility, range-setting session
London Session: Default 0300-1130 (EST) — the highest volume session, often sets the daily direction
New York Session: Default 0800-1600 (EST) — overlaps with London for the most liquid period of the day
Each session is tracked independently with its own high, low, open, close, and volume data. Session boundaries are drawn as colored boxes on the chart, and session highs/lows extend as horizontal lines until the next session begins.
2. Streak Analysis
The streak engine counts consecutive bullish (close > open) or bearish (close < open) sessions for each market. This reveals directional persistence that is invisible on a standard chart:

When a streak reaches the minimum threshold (default 3 consecutive sessions), it is highlighted on the chart. Long streaks in a single direction often precede reversals, while the start of a new streak can confirm a trend change.
3. Overstretch Detection
Overstretch occurs when a session's range significantly exceeds its historical average. The indicator calculates the average session range over a lookback period and compares the current session's range against it:
Overstretch ratio >= 1.5x: The session has extended well beyond its norm — potential exhaustion
Overstretch ratio >= 2.0x: Extreme extension — high probability of mean reversion
Overstretch signals are plotted as markers above or below the session, giving traders a visual warning that the session may be running out of steam.

4. Confluence Zone Detection
When the high or low of one session falls within a configurable ATR-based tolerance of another session's high or low, the indicator identifies a confluence zone. These zones represent price levels where multiple sessions have found significant support or resistance:

Confluence zones are drawn as highlighted horizontal bands on the chart. The strength of the confluence (how many sessions agree) determines the visual intensity. A zone where all three sessions share a similar level is considered the strongest form of multi-session agreement.
5. Session Momentum and Gaps
Session momentum measures the directional conviction within each session using the relationship between the close and the session's range. A session that closes near its high has strong bullish momentum; one that closes near its low has strong bearish momentum.
Session gaps — the difference between one session's close and the next session's open — are tracked and visualized. These gaps often act as magnets, with price tending to fill them during the subsequent session.

How to Use This Indicator
Step 1: At the start of your trading day, review the Asian session range. This range often defines the battlefield for London and New York. Note the Asian high and low as key levels.
Step 2: As London opens, watch for a break of the Asian range. A decisive break with volume often sets the daily direction. Check the streak count — if London has been bullish for 4+ consecutive sessions, be cautious of a reversal.
Step 3: Monitor overstretch conditions. If London extends 1.5x or more beyond its average range, the move may be exhausted. This is especially relevant if the overstretch occurs at a confluence zone.
Step 4: Look for confluence zones. A price level where the Asian high aligns with a previous London low is a zone of multi-session institutional interest. These levels often produce strong reactions.
Step 5: During New York, check for session gaps from the London close. Price frequently fills these gaps early in the New York session.
Step 6: Use the dashboard for a quick overview of all sessions, streaks, and confluence strength.

Indicator Limitations
Session times are based on exchange time or a configurable timezone. Ensure your timezone setting matches your intended market hours.
Streak analysis requires sufficient historical data. On newly listed instruments or very high timeframes, streak counts may be limited.
Overstretch detection uses historical averages, which can be skewed by outlier sessions (e.g., major news events).
Confluence zones are based on proximity of session levels, not on the reason those levels formed. Not all confluences will produce reactions.
The indicator is most useful on intraday timeframes (1m to 1H) where session boundaries are meaningful. On daily or weekly charts, session tracking is less relevant.
Session overlap periods (London/New York) can produce complex price action that is harder to attribute to a single session.

Geometric Rails
Trendlines (“rails”) are drawn between consecutive swing highs and swing lows and extended forward.

Three-candle imbalance gaps are detected and drawn as shaded boxes.
When a gap fills to its midpoint it converts into an inverted FVG, which can act as a continuation or re-entry zone.

Premium / Discount Zones
Using the most recent major swing high and low, price is divided into:

Support & Resistance Clustering

No single indicator is reliable on its own. A CHOCH can fail. An Order Block can break. A sweep can be a fakeout. But when 4-6 different signals all agree at the same time — that's when the probability is in your favor.
Smart Confluence requires a core trigger (CHOCH, Sweep, or EQ-Grab) PLUS enough confirmations to reach the minimum confluence threshold before any signal fires. This eliminates most false signals.

1. Market Structure Detection
Automatic Swing High/Low identification with Change of Character (CHOCH) — the moment a downtrend breaks above the last swing high (bullish) or an uptrend breaks below the last swing low (bearish). CHOCH is worth 2 confluence points.

Detects stop-hunt patterns where price sweeps below recent lows (or above recent highs) and reverses. These sweeps indicate smart money collecting liquidity before the real move. Worth 2 confluence points.

These are built from pivot calculations on close , not on raw high and low extremes, which gives the levels a close based structural character.

🔹 Calculations
1) Pivot Based A-Level and V-Level Detection
The script calculates pivots using close, not high or low:

A level becomes unfresh when price first touches it by wick while the level is still active.

This means a wick touch weakens the level visually, but does not break it.
8) Break / Deactivation Logic
A level becomes inactive only when price crosses through it, not merely when it is touched.

Logic: Bias is determined by comparing price relative to the 20 EMA and checking for Market Structure alignment. Green = Bullish, Red = Bearish.
2. The "First Hour" Trading Range (No-Bias Strategy) Following ICT’s specific logic for days when bias is unclear, this tool automatically highlights the 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM (New York Time) trading range.
Range High & Low: Defining the volatility of the opening hour.
Equilibrium (50%): The "Line in the Sand." Price holding above the 50% signals bullish strength (Premium); price below signals bearish weakness (Discount).
Quadrants (25% & 75%): Deep discount/premium zones for precision entries.
3. Session-Specific Fair Value Gaps (FVG) The indicator automatically detects and draws Fair Value Gaps that form only within that critical first hour of trading.
Auto-Extension: Boxes extend to the right until price "mitigates" (fills) them.
Consequent Encroachment (C.E.): Automatically plots the 50% dashed line inside every FVG, a key institutional support/resistance level.
Smart Mitigation: Once a gap is filled, the box changes color (user-selectable) to indicate it is no longer an active magnet.
How to Use This Indicator
This tool is designed to identify Confluence:
Check the Dashboard: Look for alignment on the Daily and 4H timeframes (e.g., Both Green).
Wait for 10:30 AM EST: Allow the script to draw the First Hour Range.
Trade the Confluence:
Bullish Setup: If the Dashboard is Green, look for price to hold above the 50% Equilibrium of the First Hour Range. Look for entries inside Bullish FVGs that form near the 50% or 75% levels.
Bearish Setup: If the Dashboard is Red, look for price to reject the 50% Equilibrium and stay in the lower half. Target Bearish FVGs near the 50% or 25% levels.
Settings & Customization
Dashboard Toggle: Show or hide the table to keep charts clean.
Colors: Fully customizable colors for Range High/Low, FVGs (Bullish/Bearish), and Mitigated gaps.
Text Positioning: Adjust FVG labels (Left/Center/Right) to prevent visual clutter on candles.
