Brownian Motion Residual [JOAT]BROWNIAN MOTION RESIDUAL
A regime classifier rooted in the sqrt(T) scaling law of geometric Brownian motion. Under a true random walk, the standard deviation of T-bar returns scales as σ₁ · √T — that is the central fact of Brownian motion in continuous time. Markets violate this scaling in revealing ways: when they trend, dispersion at long horizons grows faster than √T; when they mean-revert, it grows slower. Brownian Motion Residual measures that violation across three horizons simultaneously, aggregates it, and surfaces a single Z-like residual that classifies the market into Strong MR / MR / Random / Trend / Strong Trend.
The sqrt(T) scaling law, restated
For a Brownian process with per-bar volatility σ₁:
σ(T-bar return) = σ₁ · √T
For a real market the observed σ at horizon T can be measured directly. The residual is the deviation of the observed value from the Brownian-implied value:
residual(T) = σ_observed(T) − σ₁ · √T
When the residual is positive , dispersion at T is greater than Brownian predicts — the market is trending (price travels further than a random walk in T bars). When it is negative , dispersion is less than Brownian predicts — the market is mean-reverting (price ends up closer to home than a random walk would).
Optional normalisation by σ₁ · √T turns the residual into a unit-less percentage of expected dispersion, so the same threshold values are meaningful across instruments and timeframes.
Three horizons, weighted blend
A single horizon is noisy. Brownian Motion Residual reads three horizons simultaneously (default 5 / 20 / 100 bars), each independently toggleable and weighted (default 1.0 each). The horizons are aggregated into a single residual line — the script's headline metric. Toggling off the short horizon makes the read smoother and slower; toggling off the long horizon makes it more reactive. Configurable.
A configurable EMA on top of the aggregated residual suppresses single-bar noise without lagging the regime view.
Two-tier classification
The aggregated residual is mapped to one of five regimes by two symmetric thresholds (default ±1 mild, ±2 strong):
Strong Trend — residual > +2. Aggressive momentum regime.
Trend — residual between +1 and +2. Trending.
Random — residual between −1 and +1. Brownian-like.
MR — residual between −2 and −1. Mean-reverting.
Strong MR — residual < −2. Aggressive reversion regime.

How to read it
Three reads, in order of conviction:
Strong Trend / Strong MR entry — the highest-conviction read. The market has decisively departed from Brownian scaling in one direction. Pair with a momentum tool in Trend regimes, a reversion tool in MR regimes.
Residual crossing zero — the regime fault line. Even before crossing a threshold, a sustained sign flip means the underlying distribution has rotated; the next threshold cross will confirm the new regime.
Per-horizon disagreement (when enabled) — when the short horizon is in trend regime but the long horizon is in MR regime, the market is in a nested state: short-term momentum inside a longer reversion. This is the textbook setup for fade-the-extreme intraday plays inside a wider range.
Suggested settings
Defaults (σ₁ window 100, observed σ window 60, horizons 5/20/100, equal weights, log returns ON, normalisation ON) are tuned for 15m–4H on liquid markets. For lower timeframes drop horizon 3 to 50. For HTF (daily+) raise horizon 3 to 200 and σ₁ window to 200. Log returns are theoretically correct and the recommended default — the script's regime classification depends on the scaling law, which assumes log returns; switch off only for research.
Originality
The √T Brownian scaling law is textbook continuous-time finance — the central piece of Bachelier's 1900 thesis and the foundation of every diffusion model in pricing. The implementation here — the per-horizon σ measurement pipeline, the σ₁-anchored Brownian baseline with optional normalisation, the three-horizon weighted aggregation, the EMA-smoothed residual classifier with two-tier thresholds, the per-horizon overlay layer, the regime-tinted background, and the dashboard — is JOAT-original. No third-party code reused. The use of residual against Brownian as a regime classifier is the original quantitative contribution.
Limitations
The √T law is exact only for Brownian motion — real markets have fat tails, autocorrelation, and discrete bars, so the measured "residual" is always non-zero even in a regime that looks random. The thresholds (±1 / ±2) are calibrated to be the regime boundaries empirically; tighten or loosen if your instrument has unusual variance behaviour. Per-horizon σ values need their respective windows populated to be meaningful — early bars give a warm-up read.

9 & 15 EMA Strategy [Trade Room]OVERVIEW
This indicator combines a fast/slow EMA crossover (default 9 and 15) with a
trend-slope filter and price-action candle confirmation to generate long and
short signals, along with automatically calculated take-profit and stop-loss
levels based on a user-defined risk:reward ratio.
The EMA 9/15 crossover is a long-standing, widely taught trend-following
concept in retail trading education. This script is my own original
implementation of that concept, built with additional filters to reduce
false signals in choppy conditions.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Trend filter: the script checks whether the fast EMA is above or below
the slow EMA to establish bullish or bearish bias.
2. Slope filter (optional): both EMAs must be sloping steeply enough,
measured as percentage change over a short lookback, to confirm the
move has real momentum rather than chopping sideways. This is adjustable
so it can be tuned per instrument and timeframe.
3. Price action filter (optional): a signal only fires when price pulls
back to the fast EMA and the resulting candle matches one of three
patterns — pin bar, engulfing, or an above-average range "big bar" —
in the direction of the trend.
4. TP/SL: stop-loss is placed at the signal candle's high/low, and take-
profit is calculated as a multiple of that risk distance, set by the
Risk:Reward input (default 1:2).
WHY IT'S USEFUL
Most EMA crossover scripts only plot crossovers, leaving the trader to
manually judge trend strength and risk levels. This script adds an
objective slope threshold and candle-pattern confirmation layer on top of
the crossover, and automatically plots calculated TP/SL levels so risk
is defined before entry, not after.

Z-Score Flow Pro [JOAT]Z-SCORE FLOW PRO
A rigorously-statistical mean-reversion oscillator built on top of two of the cleanest primitives in market analysis — the Z-score of price against its own rolling mean and the EMA-smoothed RSI — and wrapped in a regime-aware visual and signal pipeline that knows when not to fire.
Why Z-score
A Z-score answers the question every reversion trader is really asking: "How many standard deviations is price from where it usually sits?" It is regime-aware by construction — when realised volatility expands, the same dollar move produces a smaller Z; when it contracts, the same dollar move produces a larger Z. That means the signal levels (Z = ±2, ±3, etc.) carry the same statistical meaning across instruments and timeframes, which a price-distance level never does.
Z-Score Flow Pro uses:
Z-score core — close vs SMA basis, normalised by rolling stdev, over a configurable lookback (default 100).
EMA trend filter — a long EMA (default 50) decides which side of the chart the engine considers in-regime. Signals are weighted by regime alignment, not blindly suppressed.
Smoothed RSI — RSI is computed, then EMA-smoothed (default 8-bar) to eliminate the single-bar whipsaws that plague the raw indicator without re-introducing visible lag.
A signal needs both the Z-score and the smoothed RSI to be at extremes on the same side — that AND-gating is what removes most of the false signals that pure RSI or pure Z systems produce.
Signal engine
A Buy signal requires Z ≤ Buy threshold (default −2.0) and smoothed RSI ≤ oversold level (default 30). A Sell signal requires Z ≥ Sell threshold (default +2.0) and smoothed RSI ≥ overbought level (default 70). A configurable cooldown prevents back-to-back signals; the labels respect the EMA regime filter so the strongest read is when signal direction agrees with the EMA trend.
Background heatmap (JOAT enhancement)
The chart pane is tinted bull or bear with an intensity proportional to |Z|. The mapping is linear: at Z = 0 the heatmap is nearly invisible, at |Z| = the saturation threshold (default 1.5) the tint reaches its loudest configured opacity. Both ends are tunable, so you can dial the heatmap from "barely there" to "institutional cockpit". This is the cleanest at-a-glance read of how stretched the market is right now — you do not need to read the Z value itself.
Divergence engine (JOAT enhancement)
A slope-comparison divergence runs in parallel: it compares the slope of the Z-score against the slope of price over a configurable lookback. A bullish divergence requires price slope negative and Z slope positive; bearish is the mirror. Both slopes must exceed a small epsilon to suppress flat-region noise, and a divergence cooldown spaces them out. Divergences print directly in the chart pane in the palette colour.
Slope-coloured Z-mean line
The Z-score's own running mean is plotted as a slope-coloured ribbon: bull / bear / flat colours based on the slope over a configurable sensitivity window. The shadow underneath the line uses an alpha-modulated version of the same colour so the line visually breathes with regime.
Dashboard
A compact monospaced table, positionable to any of nine corners, with togglable cell transparency. Rows surface:
Current Z-score and its direction (Rising / Falling / Flat).
One-year (252-bar) percentile of Z — how unusual the current reading is in its own recent history.
Smoothed RSI and its slope direction.
Active EMA regime (Up / Down / Neutral).
Distance of Z from its own min/max range (position-in-Z, 0–100%).
Alerts
Alerts are exposed for buy / sell signals, divergences, regime flips, and a configurable Z-extreme alert that fires when |Z| crosses a user-set high level (default 3.0). The extreme alert is the cleanest "the market is genuinely far from home" trigger this script produces and is suitable for end-of-day notification workflows.
How to read it
Three reads, in order of conviction:
Background heatmap — a glance tells you whether you are in a normal-Z regime (no tint) or stretched (bright tint). Most of the time, do nothing.
Signal labels — fade extremes only when both Z and RSI agree, and respect the EMA regime — counter-trend trades into a sustained EMA-aligned move are lower-conviction by definition.
Divergences — the highest-conviction reads. A bullish divergence with the heatmap saturated bear and the signal in the right direction is the cleanest setup the engine can produce.
Suggested settings
Defaults are tuned for 1H–4H on liquid markets. For 5m–15m, drop Z period to 50 and RSI period to 9. For daily and above, raise Z period to 200 and EMA trend filter to 100. The thresholds (±2.0 Z, 30/70 RSI) are intentionally classic — they correspond to the textbook two-sigma deviation and are well-understood; loosen them only if you are running on a less-liquid instrument.
Originality / what's reused
Z-score and RSI are public-domain mathematics, used here as primitives. The implementation — the smoothed-RSI gating, the slope-coloured Z-mean line with alpha shadow, the |Z|-driven background heatmap, the 252-bar percentile rank, the divergence epsilon filter, and the AND-gated signal pipeline — is JOAT-original and tuned together. No third-party code reused.
Open source
Published open-source under the default Mozilla Public License 2.0. Every section is banner-headed, every helper is documented inline, every input carries a tooltip. The Z-mean line, the heatmap, the divergence engine, and the dashboard are each in their own isolated module so you can study or adapt any single piece without reading the whole file.
Limitations
Z-score mean-reversion is a counter-trend tool by definition. In sustained one-sided trends the Z will live at an extreme for many bars and the signals will give back giveback — the EMA regime filter exists to warn you when you are in this state. The 252-bar percentile rank needs ~1 year of data to be meaningful; on shorter histories it warms up to neutral. Divergences are non-repainting but carry the natural lag of slope-over-window comparison.

Order Pressure Cloud [JOAT]Order Pressure Cloud is an open-source Pine Script v6 overlay that estimates directional pressure from close location value, candle body bias, and volume participation. It then projects that pressure around an ALMA/EMA blended basis as a volatility-adjusted cloud.
The script is designed for pressure context. It does not read real order book data. Instead, it creates a transparent price-and-volume proxy that can show whether bars are closing toward highs or lows, whether volume is participating, and whether price is holding above or below the adaptive basis.
Core Concepts
1. Close Location Value
The close location value measures where the candle closes inside its high-low range. A close near the high produces positive pressure, while a close near the low produces negative pressure.

A bullish trend is shown when the EMAs are stacked cleanly:

A bearish trend is shown when the EMAs are stacked the opposite way:
Fast EMA < Medium EMA < Slow EMA < Anchor EMA
This is different from a basic two-line crossover.
A single moving average can show direction, but a stacked EMA structure can show both direction and trend quality.
When the EMAs are separated and aligned, the trend structure is cleaner.
When the EMAs compress or cross, the market may be losing structure.
When the structure is mixed, candles can turn grey. This is a visual warning that the trend is no longer clean.

This means traders can compare two different views of the market:

When both agree, the setup has cleaner directional context.

Why this indicator is different
Most indicators answer one question. A moving average tells you the trend direction. An oscillator tells you momentum. A session box tells you the time. A volume indicator tells you participation. Each one is useful. None of them tells you where you are.
Before placing a trade, a trader needs to answer several questions simultaneously. What session is active and what does that mean for the type of price action to expect? Where does the macro trend stand? Is volume confirming the move or contradicting it? Are there open imbalances nearby that price may return to? How much of the day's expected range has already been consumed? Where are the key structural levels — pivots, the daily open, prior week references?
Answering each of these questions separately requires stacking tool after tool until the chart becomes unreadable. Compass answers all of them at once.
It is not a signal indicator. It does not fire arrows or tell you when to buy or sell. What it does is something more fundamental: it gives you a complete read of the market environment before any decision is made. Sessions, trend, volume, imbalances, range levels, pivots, psychological references — all in one overlay, all configurable, all on one chart.

1. Overview
Compass is a comprehensive market context indicator that combines eleven independent analysis frameworks into one unified overlay. Every component is individually toggleable. Six presets are included for different trading styles, from fast scalping to full multi-component analysis.

2. EMA suite
Five exponential moving averages are plotted simultaneously: EMA 5, EMA 13, EMA 50, EMA 200, and EMA 800. Together they cover short-term momentum, medium-term trend direction, macro trend, and long-term structural bias.
The EMA 50 is wrapped in a dynamic cloud calculated from two standard deviations of price. The cloud expands during volatility and contracts during consolidation. A widening cloud indicates active price discovery. A thinning cloud indicates equilibrium or compression before a directional move.
The EMA 200 is the primary macro bias filter. Price above it defines a broadly bullish environment. Price below it defines a broadly bearish environment. This is shown in the dashboard at all times.
The EMA 800 provides long-term structural context, particularly useful on mid to higher timeframes where it marks the gravitational center of multi-month price structure.
All five EMA lengths are configurable. Each has individual color and transparency controls. An EMA label option displays the current value at the right edge of each line.
3. EMA cross system
The EMA cross tracks a configurable fast EMA crossing a configurable slow EMA and marks the crossover bar. All candles after a cross continue in the direction of that cross until the opposite cross fires.
Three display modes are available: show both the fast and slow EMA lines, show a single consolidated EMA line, or hide the EMA lines entirely while keeping the crossover signals visible.
This component is a trend state indicator, not a trade trigger. A bull cross does not mean buy. It means the short-term trend has shifted upward relative to the medium-term average.
Signals and candle coloring can be toggled independently.
4. Stochastic RSI
The stochastic RSI component runs a standard stochastic RSI calculation and generates background color alerts based on crossover conditions at configurable band levels.
Four alert types are available, each independently toggleable:
Middle band crossover — K line crosses D line near the 50 level. Indicates a possible trend shift in momentum.
Overbought/oversold crossover — K line crosses D line from overbought or oversold territory. Indicates a potential reversal from an extreme.
Entering overbought — K line crosses above the upper band. Indicates that momentum has moved into overbought territory.
Entering oversold — K line crosses below the lower band. Indicates that momentum has moved into oversold territory.
The dashboard displays the current stochastic RSI state and the RSI value. RSI appears in green when above the midline and in red when below. Regular bullish and bearish divergence is detected automatically and shown in the dashboard as a directional label. When divergence is active, a thin reference line appears on the price chart marking the divergence candles.
5. PVSRA volume vector analysis
PVSRA analysis colors candles based on volume relative to the 10-bar average and the relationship between volume and candle spread.
Four vector types:
Green vector — bullish bar where volume is at or above the green/red threshold (default 200% of the 10-bar average), or where volume multiplied by spread is the highest of the last 10 bars. Indicates strong bullish institutional participation.
Red vector — same conditions on a bearish bar. Indicates strong bearish institutional participation.
Blue vector — bullish bar where volume is at or above the blue/violet threshold (default 150% of average). Indicates elevated bullish volume below the institutional threshold.
Violet vector — same conditions on a bearish bar. Indicates elevated bearish volume.
Grey — no vector conditions met. Normal volume.
Both thresholds are configurable directly from the settings panel. Blue and violet signals are strictly exclusive from green and red — a bar cannot qualify for both simultaneously.
Vector candle zones draw boxes at each vector candle location and remain active until price moves through the zone, marking areas where elevated institutional activity was detected at the time the candle formed.
The PVSRA override input allows a different symbol to be used for the volume calculation. This is useful when the charted instrument has unreliable volume data, such as CFDs, perpetual swaps, or instruments where the primary volume is on a related market.
6. Market sessions
Eight global trading sessions are tracked simultaneously, each with automatic DST awareness. Sessions are displayed as expanding boxes with high and low lines and a real-time label showing the session open.
Sessions included:
- London: 08:00–16:30 UTC
- New York: 14:30–21:00 UTC
- Tokyo: 00:00–06:00 UTC
- Hong Kong: 01:30–08:00 UTC
- Sydney: 22:00–06:00 UTC
- EU brinks: 08:00–09:00 UTC
- US brinks: 14:00–15:00 UTC
- Frankfurt: 07:00–16:30 UTC
DST is handled automatically for London, New York, and Sydney. No manual adjustment is needed. Each session can be toggled individually, and box color, transparency, and label color are fully configurable per session.
Session context matters because market behavior differs significantly depending on which participants are active. London and New York overlap produces the highest volume and fastest price movement. Tokyo and Sydney sessions tend to consolidate. The brinks windows mark the transition periods where session highs and lows often form.
7. Range levels
Three statistical range frameworks measure the expected price range for the current period based on historical averages.
Average daily range (ADR) — the expected high and low for the current trading day. When price reaches the ADR level, the day's expected range has been consumed. Moves beyond the ADR are extension moves that occur with lower statistical probability and often mean-revert. The dashboard shows ADR % used — how much of today's expected range has already been consumed. Above 80% indicates the day is approaching its expected limit.
Average weekly range (AWR) — the same concept applied to the current week. Useful for assessing how much room the week has left to move.
Average monthly range (AMR) — the same concept applied to the current month. Provides macro context for position sizing and target expectations.
Each framework includes a 50% midpoint level marking the center of the expected range. The ADR measure from daily open option calculates the range starting from that day's open price rather than the statistical high, making the levels static for the entire day.
All three frameworks have individual lookback period inputs, color controls, line styles, and label toggles.
8. Pivot points
Classic pivot points are calculated from the prior day's high, low, and close. Levels include PP, R1/S1, R2/S2, R3/S3, and M mid-point levels between each major level.
Pivot points provide structural reference for the current session. Price above PP defines a broadly bullish day structure. R levels act as potential resistance targets. S levels act as potential support targets. M levels provide intermediate precision references between major pivots.
All levels can be toggled individually. Lines extend rightward from the prior session and can optionally extend in both directions. Each level has individual color and line style controls.
9. Daily open
A horizontal line marks the current day's opening price. This is one of the most referenced structural levels among short-term traders because it defines the starting point for the day's price discovery.
Price above the daily open reflects a bullish session bias. Price below reflects a bearish session bias. When price oscillates around the daily open without committing direction, the session is in balance — a lower probability environment for trend trades.
Historical daily opens can optionally be shown as reference for prior day context.
10. Fair value gaps
A fair value gap is a three-bar imbalance where price moved through a range without leaving two-sided trade — the low of the upper candle is above the high of the lower candle (bullish gap) or vice versa (bearish gap). These areas represent unfinished business where the market may return to achieve balance.
Gaps are filtered by a minimum width threshold expressed as a multiple of ATR. Gaps narrower than the threshold are excluded. Partial absorption is tracked — as price returns into the gap, the fill color changes to show how much of the imbalance has been recovered.
Fully mitigated gaps can be kept on the chart as historical reference or deleted automatically to maintain a clean view.
11. Psychological levels
Weekly psychological levels mark the prior week's high and low as calculated by a specific session-anchored method. These levels represent deliberate structural references where participants have previously committed size — breakouts and rejections around these levels tend to be more intentional than random price noise.
Three GMT offset options accommodate the session anchor calculation for different global market structures. Two mode options are available: crypto (weekly reset on Saturday Sydney open) and forex (weekly reset on Monday Tokyo open).

14. How to use
14.1 Initial setup
Select a preset that matches your primary trading style. Adjust the session timezone to match your location or your primary exchange. If you trade an instrument with unreliable volume data, enable the PVSRA override and set it to a correlated liquid instrument. Set the ADR lookback period to your preference — 14 days is a standard starting point. For FVGs, set the width filter to 0.5 or higher to exclude minor gaps.
14.2 Reading the dashboard
The dashboard is the fastest way to orient yourself on a new chart or a new session. Check session, EMA cross direction, EMA 200 position, stoch RSI state, and ADR consumed before anything else. Five seconds to a full picture of where the market stands.
14.3 Reading the chart
Check EMA alignment. When EMA 13, EMA 50, and EMA 200 are stacked in the same direction, the trend is more significant than a single crossover. Divergence between them reflects a transition or competing timeframe pressures.
Check ADR percentage. Below 50% means the day has statistical room to move. Above 80% means the day is near its expected limit and extension moves are less probable.
Look for open FVGs near current price. An unmitigated FVG in the direction of the prevailing trend is a precision reference area where price has historically returned.
Check the psy level. If price is approaching the prior week's high or low, be aware that participant behavior around those references tends to be deliberate.
14.4 Timeframe guide
1 minute to 3 minutes — clean scalper preset, candle coloring set to EMA cross.
5 minutes to 15 minutes — clean scalper or signal focus preset.
30 minutes to 1 hour — full context preset, use ADR and pivot points.
4 hours to daily — full context or minimal preset.
14.5 Tips
PVSRA override — use when your broker's volume data is unreliable, when you trade a CFD or derivative with synthetic volume, or when you want spot market volume for a futures chart.
Master opacity offset — adding 10 to 20 increases overall transparency and dims the chart if it feels cluttered. Subtracting 10 to 20 makes all elements more prominent. This shifts all transparency values simultaneously without changing individual settings. Only active in custom preset.
Not every component needs to be active at once. Most traders will find three to four components provide the context they need for their specific setup.

What It Does
For each of 5 user-defined EMA lengths, the indicator simulates a simple long-only strategy:
Buy when price closes above the EMA (when flat)
Sell when price closes below the EMA (when long)
Equity starts at 100 and compounds across trades using the close-to-close return of each trade
A 6th strategy row tests the classic Golden/Death Cross:
Buy when the fast EMA crosses above the slow EMA (Golden Cross)
Sell when the fast EMA crosses below the slow EMA (Death Cross)
Special first-bar handling: if the fast EMA is already above the slow EMA at the start of your backtest window (i.e., we're mid-trend with no fresh Golden Cross to wait for), the strategy enters immediately at that bar's opening price. All strategies are compared against a Buy & Hold baseline that starts at the close of the first in-range bar. If a position is open at the last bar, its equity is marked-to-market so every strategy is compared on equal terms — fully invested vs. partially invested at the cutoff.

Most scalping indicators fire from a single calculation — a crossover, a threshold breach, a momentum flip. The problem is that any single calculation is easily fooled by noise, spikes, and choppy price action. AlphaX Pulse Scalper is built on a fundamentally different architecture: four completely independent layers, each measuring a different dimension of market behavior , each casting a vote on every bar. Only when enough votes align does a signal fire.
This is not a filter applied on top of a signal. The confluence is the signal.

📐 Layer 1 — EMA Ribbon (Trend Structure)
The first layer is a triple EMA ribbon using a Fast EMA (default: 8), Slow EMA (default: 21), and Signal EMA (default: 50). This layer answers a single question: is the market in a clean, structured trend right now?
Bull condition: Fast EMA above Slow EMA, Slow EMA above Signal EMA, and price closing above all three — a full stack alignment confirming upward momentum structure.
Bear condition: The full inverse — Fast below Slow below Signal, with price below all three.
Why this matters: The ribbon does not react to a single crossover. All three EMAs must be stacked in order and price must be on the correct side. This eliminates the vast majority of false crossover signals that plague simple dual-EMA systems. The ribbon is also plotted directly on the chart as a gradient-filled channel — bull fills in yellow-green, bear fills in red — giving you immediate structural context at a glance.

⚡ Layer 2 — Squeeze Momentum (Energy Detection)
The second layer is built on the TTM Squeeze principle — one of the most reliable pre-breakout detection systems in technical analysis. It works by measuring the relationship between two volatility envelopes: Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels.
Squeeze state: When the Bollinger Bands compress inside the Keltner Channels, the market is coiling — volatility has contracted and energy is building. These periods of compression historically precede the strongest directional moves. The squeeze state is displayed as a subtle orange background tint on the chart, and flagged on the dashboard as ⚡ BUILDING — giving you advance warning that a breakout is loading before it happens.
Momentum direction: The raw momentum value is calculated using a linear regression of price position relative to the midpoint of the recent high-low range. When this value is positive and rising , the squeeze is releasing to the upside. When negative and falling , it is releasing to the downside.
Layer 2 votes bull when: Momentum value is above zero and accelerating upward.
Layer 2 votes bear when: Momentum value is below zero and accelerating downward.
Why this matters: This layer catches the energy behind a move, not just the direction. A breakout with strong squeeze momentum behind it is fundamentally different from a breakout on low momentum — and this layer distinguishes between the two on every bar.

📊 Layer 3 — Volume Delta (Institutional Pressure)
The third layer is a proprietary volume delta model that estimates the real buying and selling pressure behind each candle — without requiring exchange-level order flow data.
How it works: Each candle's volume is split into bullish and bearish components based on the candle's close position within its high-low range. A candle closing near its high attributes most of its volume to buyers; a candle closing near its low attributes most to sellers. These estimates are smoothed using an EMA to eliminate single-bar noise. A secondary OBV slope (On-Balance Volume) is calculated over the configured lookback and used as an independent confirmation of the dominant pressure direction.
Layer 3 votes bull when: The bull volume EMA exceeds the bear volume EMA, the delta EMA is positive, and the OBV slope is rising — all three volume signals agree on buying pressure.
Layer 3 votes bear when: The full inverse — bear volume dominates, delta EMA is negative, OBV slope is falling.
Why this matters: Price can move in any direction on any bar. Volume delta tells you whether real capital is flowing in the direction of that move. A price breakout accompanied by genuine volume pressure is a high-confidence breakout. A price breakout on weak or opposing volume is a trap. This layer is the system's protection against price manipulation and false breakouts.

📡 Layer 4 — VWAP Deviation (Institutional Bias)
The fourth layer uses the Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) with dynamically calculated standard deviation bands to identify where price stands relative to institutional value.
Band structure: Two band pairs are calculated — ±1σ and ±2σ — using a volume-weighted standard deviation formula applied across the session. These bands represent statistically significant deviations from the session's fair value anchor.
Layer 4 votes bull when: Price is above VWAP (institutional bias is bullish) but has not yet extended beyond the +2σ band — confirming trend direction without chasing a stretched, overextended move.
Layer 4 votes bear when: Price is below VWAP but has not extended beyond the -2σ band.
Why this matters: VWAP is the single most widely watched intraday reference level used by institutional desks, market makers, and algorithms. Price above VWAP means institutions are net buyers for the session. Price below means net sellers. The 2σ filter prevents the system from entering during climactic exhaustion moves — precisely the moments when reversal risk is highest and reward is lowest.
The bands are plotted directly on the chart — VWAP as a purple line, ±1σ as dotted yellow-green and red circles, ±2σ as solid outer boundaries — so you always have the full VWAP context visible alongside your signals.

🧠 The Confluence Gate — Live Scoring System
On every bar, each of the four layers independently casts its vote. The results are tallied into a live confluence score displayed in real time on the dashboard.
Bull score: 0–4 points. One point for each layer voting bullish.
Bear score: 0–4 points. One point for each layer voting bearish.
Signal fires when: The score meets or exceeds the configured minimum (default: 3 of 4), the ADX filter confirms a trending market, and the session filter confirms active market hours.
Score thresholds and what they mean:
4 / 4 — maximum confluence. All four independent engines agree. The highest-conviction setup the system can produce. Enter full size.
3 / 4 — strong confluence. Three of four layers aligned. The default threshold — high quality with reasonable frequency.
2 / 4 — weak confluence. Available if you lower the minimum, but not recommended. Two engines agreeing is not meaningful convergence.
The confluence score is printed directly on the signal label (e.g., 3/4 or 4/4 ) so you know at a glance exactly how strong every setup is at the moment it fires. The dashboard continuously displays the live bull and bear scores — even between signals — so you can watch confidence building in real time before the signal appears.
Edge triggering: Signals only fire on the bar where the score first crosses the threshold — not on every bar the score remains above it. This prevents signal spam during extended trend runs and ensures every triangle on the chart represents a distinct, fresh entry event.

🛡 ADX Filter — Trend Quality Gate
Before any signal reaches the chart, it must also pass the ADX (Average Directional Index) filter . ADX measures the strength of the current trend regardless of direction — a reading below the threshold indicates a choppy, ranging market where trend-following signals have low reliability.
Default threshold: 20. When ADX is below this level, all signals are suppressed — even if the confluence score is 4/4. This is the system's protection against the single most common failure mode of scalping indicators: firing confidently into sideways, oscillating price action.
The ADX value and pass/fail status are displayed live on the dashboard so you always know whether the market structure supports trading at any given moment.

🕐 Session Filter — Active Hours Gate
The Session Filter restricts signals to a configurable active trading window (default: 07:00–20:00 exchange time). Outside this window, signals are suppressed regardless of confluence score.
Why this matters for scalpers: Low-volume pre-market and post-market hours produce the most misleading signals of any period. Spreads widen, liquidity thins, and momentum moves that look compelling on the chart are frequently reversed the moment the main session opens. The session filter eliminates this entire class of false setups automatically.
The dashboard displays a clear ✓ ACTIVE or ✗ OFF-HOURS status so you always know whether the filter is open or closed.

🎯 Dynamic ATR Exit System
AlphaX Pulse Scalper uses a fully dynamic ATR-based exit system with three simultaneously active exit mechanisms — each serving a distinct role in protecting profit.
Stop Loss: Fixed at entry based on the pivot low (bull) or pivot high (bear) minus an ATR buffer (default: 1.2× ATR). Displayed as a solid red line below price for longs, above for shorts. This is your maximum risk boundary — it does not move.
TP1 — Partial Target (50%): Set at 1.8× ATR from entry. When price reaches TP1, scale out 50% of the position and let the remainder run to TP2. A small circle marker appears at the TP1 bar.
TP2 — Full Target: Set at 3.5× ATR from entry. When price reaches TP2, the full position exits and the system resets. A labeled TP marker appears on the chart.
ATR Trailing Stop: The most important of the three. From the moment a trade opens, a trailing stop moves dynamically with price — always positioned 1.5× ATR behind the current bar's low (for longs) or high (for shorts). The trail is displayed as a live orange line on the chart. As price advances in your favor, the trail advances with it. If price reverses and hits the trail before reaching TP2, the trade exits at the trail level rather than waiting to give back all gains.
Why the trailing stop changes everything: Fixed TP levels work in textbook trends. In the real market, strong impulses often exceed TP2 before reversing — and weak impulses stall before even reaching TP1. The ATR trailing stop captures whatever the market gives, without predetermining a ceiling on your profit. In strong trending conditions, a single Pulse Scalper signal with an active trail can run 5–10× ATR before stopping out.
All three exit levels — SL, TP1, TP2, and the trailing stop — are plotted as live lines on the chart as long as a trade is active, then cleared automatically when the position closes.

Squeeze just released but score is only 2/4 — the squeeze fired but not enough layers confirmed the direction. This is a low-conviction breakout — wait for the next setup
