What it shows
🟢 Green histogram above zero → confirmed bullish trend. Taller bars = stronger trend.
🔴 Red histogram below zero → confirmed bearish trend. Deeper bars = stronger trend.
⚪ Gray histogram near zero → consolidation/range (no clear trend).
How it works
The indicator combines four classic, well-understood concepts so that no single signal can produce a false trend on its own:
1. ADX (trend strength): measures how strongly the market is trending. Below the threshold, the market is treated as consolidation regardless of direction.
2. DI+ / DI− (direction) : the Directional Movement pair decides whether strength is to the upside or downside.
3. EMA position + slope (confirmation) : price must be on the correct side of the EMA and the EMA must be sloping the right way. This filters out counter-trend spikes.
4. ATR & EMA-distance (range detection) : consolidation is flagged when volatility compresses or price hugs the EMA, even if ADX hasn't fully dropped yet.
A phase only changes after the condition holds for a configurable number of candles (Confirmation Bars). This is the key to removing the constant flip-flopping that plagues most trend indicators.
Trend rules
✏️ Bullish = ADX above threshold and DI+ > DI− and price above EMA and EMA rising — held for N bars.
✏️Bearish = ADX above threshold and DI− > DI+ and price below EMA and EMA falling — held for N bars.

Most divergence tools are built to search for reversals. They scan regular bullish and bearish divergence, print many labels, and often mix every oscillator event into the same visual map. This script intentionally takes a narrower lane. It does not try to be a general divergence scanner. It looks only for hidden bullish and hidden bearish divergence, because hidden divergence is most useful when the question is not "is the trend ending?" but "is the trend trying to continue after a controlled pullback?"

🔹 What Makes This Different
This script is separated from both common public divergence tools and our existing AGPro divergence family by design.
It is not a multi-oscillator regular divergence stack. It does not score RSI, MACD, CCI, MFI, and OBV together. That lane is already covered by broader stack-style divergence tools.
It is not an OBV pressure divergence map. It does not study price-versus-participation disagreement through cumulative volume pressure.
It is not a trend dashboard with divergence added as a side feature.
Hidden Divergence Continuation Zones focuses on a single continuation workflow:
1. Confirm that the market has an active directional side.
2. Wait for a valid pullback swing.
3. Compare the new swing against the previous swing.
4. Accept only hidden divergence that supports continuation.
5. Draw a forward pocket from the continuation pivot.
6. Track whether price later triggers from that structure.
That narrow scope is the edge. The script is designed to avoid visual noise and avoid conceptual overlap.
🧭 Core Logic
Bullish hidden continuation:
- the trend filter must support a bullish continuation environment
- price must form a confirmed higher low
- RSI must form a lower low against that higher price low
- the two compared swings must be separated by enough bars
- the structure must be large enough relative to ATR
- the RSI displacement must clear the minimum threshold
- the final continuation score must pass the display threshold
Bearish hidden continuation:
- the trend filter must support a bearish continuation environment
- price must form a confirmed lower high
- RSI must form a higher high against that lower price high
- the two compared swings must be separated by enough bars
- the structure must be large enough relative to ATR
- the RSI displacement must clear the minimum threshold
- the final continuation score must pass the display threshold
The script uses confirmed pivots, so events appear only after the pivot is structurally available. This keeps the logic stable and prevents premature labels from appearing on incomplete swings.
📐 Continuation Score
Each qualified setup is graded with a 0 to 100 continuation score.
The score combines:
- ADX strength above the selected minimum
- ATR-normalized distance between the compared swings
- RSI displacement between the two pivot points
- whether the pullback sits in a continuation-relevant EMA area
- whether the fast and slow EMA structure remains aligned
The default thresholds are designed to keep the chart selective. Normal qualified events are shown as HDC+ or HDC-. Stronger events are shown as PRIME HDC+ or PRIME HDC-.
Lower-intensity confirmed hidden divergence candidates can also be displayed as HDC WATCH labels. These marks are intentionally softer: they add visual context and keep the chart informative, but they do not create continuation pockets or trigger tracking unless the full continuation threshold is reached.
🧩 Continuation Pockets
When a hidden continuation event qualifies, the script projects a forward pocket from the pivot area.
These pockets are not generic support and resistance boxes. They are continuation context zones tied directly to the hidden divergence pivot. Their job is to preserve the important pullback area on the chart after the label appears, so the user can see where the continuation structure was created.
Pocket height is ATR-based, which helps the zones adapt across symbols and timeframes. The number of visible pockets is capped, so older structures are automatically removed and the chart remains clean.
🎯 Trigger Labels
After a hidden divergence pocket is created, the script monitors a limited trigger window.
For bullish continuation, a trigger is printed only when price confirms above the pivot candle reference with the selected ATR buffer.
For bearish continuation, a trigger is printed only when price confirms below the pivot candle reference with the selected ATR buffer.

Most indicators tell you where price is. This one tells you where the market lives. The Support Band + Volume Profile is built around a single idea: price gravitates toward zones where real participation has happened, and it respects dynamic boundaries defined by the market's own momentum structure. This indicator surfaces both at once — a trend-adaptive zone on price and the volume history behind it.
How It's Calculated
Trend Direction (ADX + 200 SMA)
Market direction is read continuously using the DMI system — DI+ vs DI− for directional dominance, with the 200 SMA as a tiebreaker when they are equal. There is no neutral state. The indicator always commits to bull or bear, and all colors and zone behavior follow from that.
The Support Band (SMA 20 / EMA 21)
The innermost layer is a filled zone between the 20-period SMA and the 21-period EMA. These two averages are nearly identical in length but calculated differently, so the gap between them stays tight — producing a precise dynamic level rather than a wide smear. This is the mean of the recent trend. In a bull market it is the floor price returns to on pullbacks. In a bear market it is the ceiling price fails at on rallies. Green in a bull trend, red in a bear trend.
The Kijun Band — Main Trend Support and Resistance
The outer layer is the primary structural boundary of the indicator. The Kijun-Sen and Tenkan-Sen form a filled zone that acts as the main dynamic support in uptrends and the main dynamic resistance in downtrends, derived from Ichimoku Cloud. When price holds above this band the trend is intact. When price breaks through it and cannot reclaim it, the trend is in trouble.
Both lines adapt their lengths based on market conditions — compressing when momentum is strong and price is trending cleanly, expanding when conditions are weak or choppy. This means the boundary zone tightens in fast trends and widens when the market is uncertain, automatically adjusting to the environment. The lines are colored cyan in a bull regime and magenta in a bear regime, keeping them distinct from the inner band at all times.
The Kijun line within that band is the single most important level to watch. It is the baseline the trend must hold. Everything else in the indicator gives context to what happens at the Kijun.
Volume Profile — Reading the Zones

The volume profile is drawn to the right of price covering the last 240 bars. It answers the question the bands cannot: how much real participation has happened at each price level. A band sitting on a high-volume node is structurally different from a band sitting in empty space.
Point of Control (POC): The price level with the highest total volume — the market's center of gravity. When the POC aligns with the Kijun or the support band, that level is not just a moving average. It is a price the market has repeatedly chosen, making it the highest-conviction read the indicator can produce.
Value Area: The central 68% of all volume, shown as the brightest bars on the profile. The edges of the Value Area are high-probability reaction levels. Price approaching from outside tends to stall at the boundary or accelerate into the core. When the band zone overlaps a Value Area edge, dynamic structure and volume history are stacked at the same level.
Buy/Sell Split: Every row is divided between buying volume (green) and selling volume (red). When one side exceeds 60% it renders as a strong single color. This shows not just where volume was high — it shows who was in control. A dominant green node below price is demand. A dominant red node above is supply.
Low Volume Gaps: Rows with very little volume are structural gaps. Price moves through them quickly with little friction and accelerates until it hits the next meaningful cluster. When the band sits at the edge of a gap, a break can be fast and directional.
Freshness Fade: Recent volume glows brighter. Older volume fades. This prevents the profile from treating a level from 200 bars ago the same as one from yesterday.
Price Pivot S/R Lines
The last three swing highs and swing lows drawn as horizontal dashed lines — red for resistance, green for support. These are price memory. The exact levels where the market has previously reversed.
Bollingerbands
Custom Bollinger bands that can be toggled on to see outer lines of directional trend
How to Read It
The zone between the support band and the Kijun boundary is the core read. Green means the corridor is support — healthy pullbacks happen here. Red means it is resistance — rallies fail here. A tight narrow zone signals strong trend momentum. A wide zone signals a slower or more uncertain market.
The Kijun line is the level that matters most. A pullback that holds above it and bounces is trend continuation. A close below it is a warning. A reclaim from below is the first sign of a potential reversal. Every trade setup built with this indicator lives or dies at the Kijun.
The volume profile tells you whether the Kijun level carries real weight. A Kijun sitting on a large green volume node has been defended by buyers repeatedly — it has structural backing. A Kijun sitting in thin faded volume is unproven. When the POC and the Kijun are at the same price, that is the strongest signal this indicator can produce.
Value Area edges add a second volume-based reference layer. Watch for the band or Kijun to overlap with the top or bottom of the Value Area — that is confluence of two independent structural forces at the same level.
Pivot lines show the nearest price structure above and below. A green pivot just below the Kijun in a bull trend means two separate historical references are stacked — structural and volume-based support reinforce each other.
How to Trade With It
Bull Trend Pullback
Band is green. Price pulls back into the support band or toward the Kijun. Check the volume profile — is there a high-volume green node or the POC near that level? If yes, the zone has volume backing. Wait for a reversal signal inside the zone. Enter long with a stop below the Kijun. The nearest green pivot below is your hard invalidation.
Bear Trend Rally
Band is red. Price rallies into the band or toward the Kijun. Check the volume profile — is there a high-volume red node or the POC near the Kijun? If yes, the resistance is volume-confirmed. Wait for rejection inside the zone. Enter short with a stop above the Kijun. The nearest red pivot above is your invalidation.
Volume Gap Move
When price breaks out of the band and enters a low-volume section of the profile, expect the move to accelerate. There is no structural resistance in that gap. Price will run until it hits the next meaningful volume cluster. Use the profile to identify where that cluster is and target it.
Trend Change Warning
When the band flips color, stop trading the previous direction. Wait for price to pull back and hold the newly-colored zone on a retest before entering the new direction. Check the POC — if it is already on the new direction's side of price, the flip has volume support and is more likely to hold.
Confluence Filter
The cleanest setups occur when everything agrees: band color matches the trade direction, price is testing the Kijun, the POC or a high-volume node is at or near that level, and a pivot line adds nearby structure. When all of that stacks at one price, the zone is as high-conviction as this indicator gets.

WHAT THIS INDICATOR DOES
The Momentum Lifecycle Detector (MLD) is a momentum oscillator with integrated trend phase classification. It answers the question every trend trader needs answered: "Where in its life is this momentum right now?"
Most trend strength indicators tell you a trend exists after the move is already underway. ADX crossing above 25 is a lagging confirmation. MLD solves this by detecting the birth of momentum at the earliest mathematically identifiable point, then tracking that momentum through five distinct lifecycle phases until it dies.

THE PROBLEM THIS SOLVES - WHY TRADERS NEED EARLY TREND DETECTION
Traditional ADX tells you a trend is strong when it crosses above 25. By that point, the optimal entry window has often closed. Conversely, ADX gives no clear warning when a trend is dying - it just slowly rolls over after the move has already reversed.
The core innovation in MLD is measuring the acceleration of the gap between +DI and -DI. Here is the mathematical logic:
Spread = |+DI minus -DI| - How far apart are bullish and bearish pressure?
Velocity = Spread minus Spread - Is that gap widening or narrowing?
Acceleration = Velocity minus Velocity - Is the widening itself speeding up?
When acceleration is positive and velocity is positive while ADX is still low, a new trend is actively forming. This is the mathematical fingerprint of momentum at birth - detectable bars before ADX would give any signal.
WHY THESE SPECIFIC COMPONENTS - JUSTIFICATION FOR THE INTEGRATION
This indicator combines several analytical methods into a unified lifecycle detection framework. Each component serves a specific, non-redundant purpose. Here is why each exists:
Zero-Lag EMA Momentum Oscillator
Purpose : The primary visual output traders watch and trade.
Method : Difference between fast ZLEMA (default 9) and slow ZLEMA (default 21), divided by ATR, multiplied by 100.
Why ZLEMA : Standard EMA lags behind price. ZLEMA compensates by adding the difference between the current price and its lagged value before smoothing. This produces earlier momentum readings without adding noise.
Why ATR normalization: Raw price differences are not comparable across instruments. A 5-point move means something different on a $10 stock versus Bitcoin. Dividing by ATR makes oscillator readings universal - a reading of +50 represents the same relative momentum strength on any chart, any timeframe.
Gaussian-Weighted Directional Indicators
Purpose : Feed responsive directional data into the lifecycle detection engine.
Method : Instead of standard Wilder smoothing for +DI and -DI, a Gaussian (bell-curve) decay function applies exponentially more weight to recent bars. The formula is exp(-(n/len)^2).
Why Gaussian weighting : Standard DI treats all bars in the lookback equally. A directional move from 14 bars ago counts the same as one happening now. Gaussian decay makes DI inherently more responsive to fresh moves without shortening the period (which would increase noise).
ZLEMA-Smoothed ADX
Purpose : Trend strength measurement for phase classification.
Method : DX calculated from Gaussian-weighted DI values, smoothed with ZLEMA instead of traditional Wilder smoothing.
Why ZLEMA-smoothed: Standard Wilder-smoothed ADX is deliberately sluggish by design. For lifecycle detection, we need ADX that responds faster to "waking up" and "rolling over" behaviors that define phase transitions.
DI Spread Acceleration Engine
Purpose : The core innovation - detects momentum birth before ADX confirms.
Method : Calculates the absolute spread between +DI and -DI, derives its velocity (first derivative) and acceleration (second derivative), smooths both with 3-period EMA.
Why this matters: This is what differentiates MLD from existing ADX-based tools. Acceleration of the DI spread is a leading indicator. By the time ADX crosses a threshold, spread acceleration has already been positive for multiple bars. This enables IGNITION detection before traditional signals fire.
Kaufman Efficiency Ratio
Purpose : Regime filter that warns when conditions are choppy.
Method : ER = net price movement divided by total price movement. Values near 1.0 mean efficient directional movement. Values near 0.0 mean price went back and forth without progress.
Why included: Momentum oscillators generate false signals in ranging markets. When ER is low, ADX is weak, and momentum sits inside the dead zone, the background turns gray - warning traders that conditions do not support directional strategies.
Momentum Curvature Analysis
Purpose : Early warning of potential reversals via oscillator curvature.
Method : Second derivative of momentum (how the slope is changing). When momentum is negative but curving upward (positive curvature with positive slope), bullish pressure is building from underneath before the trend visibly reverses. Strength is normalized against 30-bar standard deviation of curvature.
Important : This is purely mathematical curvature of the plotted oscillator. It does not use order flow, volume profile, bid/ask data, or any external source. The term "atmosphere" is a visual metaphor for the glow effect.
These components form an integrated pipeline - they are not independent indicators placed on the same pane. The oscillator provides visual momentum reading, Gaussian DI and ZLEMA ADX feed the lifecycle engine, spread acceleration detects phase transitions, ER provides regime context, and curvature adds reversal awareness. Each output feeds downstream components.
THE FIVE LIFECYCLE PHASES - DETECTION LOGIC EXPLAINED
The lifecycle band at the bottom displays one of five phases. Each has specific mathematical conditions that must all be true simultaneously. A state machine with configurable inertia prevents rapid flickering.
IGNITION - Cyan Band
Conditions : DI crossover within last N bars (default 4), spread acceleration above threshold (default 0.2), spread velocity above threshold (default 0.3), ADX rising for two consecutive bars.
Meaning : Momentum is being born. DI lines just crossed, the gap is accelerating open, ADX is waking. This is the earliest actionable signal. ADX may still be below 20.
State machine : IGNITION transitions instantly (1-bar inertia) because early detection speed matters.
THRUST - Green or Red Band (direction-coded)
Conditions : Past ignition window but within 3x that window, spread velocity above threshold (default 0.5), ADX surged more than threshold (default 1.5) over 3 bars.
Meaning : Young trend gaining real power. Spread velocity is high, ADX is confirming with a surge. The trend is no longer hypothesis - it is building strength.
State machine : THRUST transitions instantly.
PRIME - Deeper Green or Red Band (direction-coded)
Conditions : ADX above strong threshold (default 20), ADX either rising or above its signal line, DI spread above minimum (default 10).
Meaning : Mature, established trend. Maximum directional strength. Most productive phase - but also where exhaustion can begin. Use trailing stops.
State machine : Requires configured inertia (default 2 bars) before transition.
FADING - Orange Band
Conditions : ADX above strong threshold BUT falling AND below its signal line, OR ADX strong but spread velocity sharply negative (below -0.5).
Meaning : Trend is dying. ADX rolling over, DI gap closing. Time to tighten stops, take partials, prepare for next cycle.
State machine: Requires configured inertia before transition.
DEAD - Dark Gray Band
Conditions : None of the above active.
Meaning : No meaningful directional momentum. Market ranging, consolidating, or in transition. Directional strategies unlikely to perform well.
HOW TO READ THE OSCILLATOR PLOT
Momentum Line (thick, color-coded)
Bright green : Momentum positive and rising (bullish, strengthening)

Yellow boxes appear on the oscillator when momentum energy is coiling - a potential precursor to a strong directional move.
Detection Logic
Two conditions must be simultaneously true:
Histogram (momentum-signal gap) is unusually tight relative to its recent 50-bar standard deviation.
Momentum slope is unusually flat relative to its recent 50-bar standard deviation.
Both thresholds are adaptive - they automatically adjust to each instrument's typical behavior. This means the indicator detects relative consolidation, not absolute levels, making it equally effective on volatile crypto and stable bonds.
Zone Lifecycle
New zone starts as dotted-border, light yellow box.
If it persists for minimum bar count (default 5), it upgrades to solid-border, brighter yellow - a validated zone.
If momentum drifts too far from where zone started (exceeds drift tolerance relative to zone height), the zone is invalidated and deleted. This prevents slow trends from being falsely labeled as consolidation.
When zone breaks (convergence conditions end), box color changes based on breakout direction: teal for bullish breakout, maroon for bearish breakout.
Only one active zone exists at a time to keep the chart clean.
How to Trade It
Validated consolidation zones (solid border) represent coiled momentum. Breakouts from these zones, especially when accompanied by IGNITION or THRUST phase, often produce strong directional moves. The breakout color immediately tells you the direction.
REVERSAL ATMOSPHERE - CURVATURE-BASED REVERSAL WARNING
A soft colored glow appears around the momentum line when mathematical curvature suggests a reversal is forming.
How It Works
The indicator calculates the second derivative of momentum (curvature - how the slope itself is changing).
Bullish reversal detection: Momentum is below zero (bearish), but slope has turned positive (rising), and curvature is positive (the rise is accelerating). This is the mathematical signature of a bottom forming - momentum is still negative but fighting back.
Bearish reversal detection: Mirror image. Momentum is above zero, but slope is negative and curvature is negative. A top is forming.
Visual Output
Green glow: Bullish reversal pressure building
Red glow: Bearish reversal pressure building
Glow intensity increases with curvature strength, normalized against 30-bar standard deviation

CHOPPY MARKET BACKGROUND - REGIME WARNING
When three conditions are all simultaneously true, the pane background turns gray:
Efficiency Ratio below choppy threshold (default 0.30)
ADX below choppy threshold (default 18)
Momentum inside dead zone
This gray background is a visual warning: "Market conditions are choppy. Momentum signals here are statistically less reliable. Consider waiting for cleaner conditions."

ALERTS
Two alert conditions target the most actionable lifecycle transitions:
IGNITION Onset
Fires when lifecycle enters IGNITION phase. Alert message includes directional bias (Bullish/Bearish), current ADX value, and how many bars since DI cross.
FADING Onset
Fires when lifecycle enters FADING phase. Alert message includes ADX value and current spread velocity.
Bar Close Confirmation
When enabled (default), alerts only fire after the bar closes. This prevents false alerts triggered by intra-bar price spikes that later reverse. Recommended to keep enabled for reliable signals.
RECOMMENDED TIMEFRAMES AND INSTRUMENTS
MLD works across all timeframes and instruments due to ATR normalization.
Default settings optimized for: Daily and 4-hour charts.
For lower timeframes (15m, 5m): Consider increasing Momentum Smoothing to 5 and State Inertia to 3 to filter noise.
For weekly charts: Default settings work without adjustment.
For highly volatile instruments (crypto, small caps): The adaptive thresholds automatically adjust. No manual tuning typically required.
For low-volatility instruments (bonds, some forex pairs): Consider reducing Dead Zone Multiplier to 0.3 for more sensitivity.
PRACTICAL EXAMPLE - MOMENTUM LIFECYCLE IN ACTION
Consider a stock range-bound for weeks. ADX reads 12. Traditional trend tools show nothing actionable.
Then +DI crosses above -DI. ADX is still 12. No traditional signal. But MLD detects that the DI spread is accelerating - the gap is not just opening, it is opening faster each bar. ADX has risen for two consecutive bars (waking up). The lifecycle band turns cyan: IGNITION. The dashboard shows BIRTH: ACCELERATING, WEATHER: FAVORABLE.
Over the next few bars, spread velocity increases. ADX surges upward. The band turns green: THRUST. The trend is confirmed and building.
ADX crosses above 20, continues rising, spread stays wide. Band turns deeper green: PRIME. This is the productive phase.
Eventually ADX peaks, starts falling, drops below its signal line. Spread velocity turns negative. Band turns orange: FADING. Dashboard shows WEATHER: CAUTION. Time to trail stops tightly.
ADX falls back below 20, momentum enters dead zone. Band turns gray: DEAD. The lifecycle is complete.
The value: MLD flagged IGNITION several bars before ADX would have signaled anything. It flagged FADING while ADX was still technically strong but deteriorating. This is the early detection advantage.
Chart Example 1:
BTC/USDT 5-minute is showing a classic FADING lifecycle : a bullish thrust peaked around 13:00–14:00, entered a validated consolidation zone, and is now visibly breaking down. The momentum line is curving sharply downward inside the yellow box, the band is orange (FADING), and FLOW has flipped to BEAR 17.9 : confirming the consolidation resolved bearishly, not bullishly. The earlier cyan IGNITION flash (~14:30) failed to sustain, overwhelmed by the dominant fading structure. The dashboard reads WEATHER: CAUTION, PRESSURE: NONE : no reversal energy building yet.
Chart Example 2:
BTC/USDT 15-minute is in DEAD phase with WEATHER: UNFAVORABLE : no tradeable momentum present. The dashboard tells the complete story: FLOW is FLAT meaning neither bulls nor bears have directional control, and PRESSURE is NONE meaning no reversal energy is building beneath the surface either. Despite BIRTH showing ACCELERATING, without flow direction or reversal pressure to back it up, the acceleration has no confirmed destination yet. Stand aside and wait for the lifecycle band to shift out of DEAD before committing.
WHAT MAKES THIS INDICATOR ORIGINAL
The originality lies in three specific innovations not present in standard ADX/DI implementations or common momentum oscillators:
DI Spread Acceleration Analysis
Standard tools measure the DI spread itself or track ADX thresholds. MLD applies derivative analysis - velocity and acceleration - to the spread, transforming a traditionally lagging measurement into a leading indicator of trend formation.
Gaussian-Weighted DI Calculation
Standard DI uses Wilder smoothing with equal weight to all bars. Gaussian decay weighting makes DI inherently more responsive to recent directional moves without the noise penalty of shorter periods.
Five-Phase Lifecycle Classification with Inertia-Gated State Machine
Rather than binary trend/no-trend output, MLD maps momentum onto a lifecycle model with distinct phases and specific mathematical criteria. The state machine prevents flickering while allowing speed-critical states (IGNITION, THRUST) to transition immediately.
These are integrated innovations, not independent indicators on the same pane. Each feeds into the lifecycle engine or provides context for its output.

I want to stress that while this indicator shows emotional response signals, it is a very powerful tool when analyzing your own emotional responses while watching the chart. If you are feeling that strong urge to buy or sell for no real reason, this indicator will help you identify that it may simply be a false emotional response.
This indicator was designed to help you identify emotional response zones so you can step back and analyze the price action carefully before irrationally opening a losing position.
Before getting into the dumb money signals, I will briefly describe the special features below the chart:
1) First, this indicator also has a unique Dumb Money Index (DMI) which plots the combined and normalized retail sentiment score, calculated from a combination of RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, Volume, and Crowd sentiment. It plots two moving averages and displays a MACD-style histogram.
The DMI shows bullish and bearish sentiment crossovers which can be used to detect trend reversals.
2) Second, there is a hidden display which can be toggled in the settings which is the Dumb Directional Index (DDX). The DDX uses the DMI to create "dumb DI" and "dumb ADX" lines, which show strength of trend.
Now here is a brief explanation of each of the unique dumb money signals.
If you don't want to memorize all these, that's OK. I put a detailed description of each when you mouse over the labels.
🔥FOMO
FOMO is when the price has been increasing rapidly, social sentiment is screaming to buy the stock and retail starts to fear they are missing their chance to go to the moon. On top of that, every single commonly used indicator is in the extremely bullish range, and everybody is looking at the same set of basic indicators. In reality, an entry here will likely mean you are the exit liquidity.
🐑HERD EXHAUSTION
Herd Exhaustion is when the price has been consistently going up and volume has been rapidly increasing. This is when everyone is piling in, but it also means that it is likely reaching buy exhaustion where there are no longer enough buyers. This tends to happen around extreme tops, and is the point where the people enter with the hopes of a quick flip and find themselves leaving as long term community members.
🏃 CHASE PRICE
Price chasing is where there is a strong bullish trend, but the bullishness is starting to fade. Many retail traders think this point is where a small pullback makes a strong entry point, when they are entering at the reversal.
😱 HOPELESSNESS
Hopelessness is the opposite of price chasing. It is where there is a strong bearish trend with bearishness starting to fade. This tends to be where social sentiment is at a low and your emotions are telling you to get out while you still have a small amount of money left in your account. This also tends to signal price reversals.
🩸 PANIC FLUSH
Panic flush is your stoploss hunting. This is when the price spikes down on heavy volume and triggers unsuspecting trader's stoploss limits. These traders get stopped out at the extreme lows and will soon make their way over to social media to complain about how the market is rigged.
😴 BORING PRICE ACTION
Boring price action is where there is no real move either way for an extended period of time. This is when you look away from the stock and go to trade something else because the price is boring and you want to see some serious returns and fast. Well you just looked away at the exact wrong time because this boring price action generally tends to happen right before large moves. Sorry, you just missed the move and now you are going to chase.
When there is a major move immediately following a boring price bar, there is a horizontal line that gets plotted halfway between the open and close of the following candle. This horizontal line is the reversion price. This is the level that the price on the chart will likely return to in the near future since there was accumulation at the 'boring' price level right before, and the price likes to revert back to areas of high concentration.
Retail also tends to have a ton of indicators on their charts which don't offer too much, and simply makes the charts look messy. This indicator also has that option. You can enable 'retail clutter' in the settings, which adds a bunch of lines onto the chart to imitate a chart you might see out of a first-day trader who just watched a tutorial on moving averages.

The Directional Logistic Oscillator (DLO) is a momentum-based indicator designed to measure directional market strength and identify potential trend reversals or mean-reversion opportunities. It builds on the classic Directional Movement Index (DMI) by transforming its components (+DI, -DI, and ADX) into probabilistic signals using logistic functions, then combining them into a bounded oscillator that oscillates between approximately -1 and +1.
Unlike traditional oscillators like RSI or MACD, DLO emphasizes directional probability by estimating the likelihood of bullish or bearish dominance while factoring in overall trend strength (via ADX). This makes it particularly useful for:

The oscillator is plotted as histogram bars (columns) for visual clarity, with color-coding to highlight strength and direction. Positive values indicate bullish momentum, negative values bearish, and crossings of key levels can signal trading opportunities.
How It Works
At its core, DLO processes DMI data through a logistic transformation to create "probabilities" of directional movement:
1. DMI Calculation : Uses the standard DMI with a user-defined length (default 14) to compute +DI (upward movement), -DI (downward movement), and ADX (trend strength).
2. Logistic Probability : Each DMI component is normalized against its long-term mean and passed through a logistic (sigmoid) function. This creates smooth probabilities between 0 and 1.
The logistic function is defined as:

Strategy Description

ADX defines whether or not there is a trend present; +DI and -DI compliment the ADX by taking direction into account. An ADX above 25 indicates a strong trend, and a Bullish alert is subsequently triggered when +DI is above -DI and a Bearish alert when -DI is above +DI.
Note that the Bullish or Bearish crossover alert will only trigger if ADX is simultaneously above 25 during the crossover event. If ADX later rises to 25 and +DI is still greater than -DI, or -DI greater than +DI, then a delayed alert will not trigger by design.
Basic Use

Acceptable DMI values are up to the trader's interpretation and may change depending on the financial instrument being examined. Recommend not changing any default values without being first familiar with their purpose and impact on the indicator at large.
Confidence in price action and trend is higher when two or more indicators are in agreement -- therefore we recommend not using this indicator by itself to determine entry or exit trade opportunities.
Recommend also choosing 'Once Per Bar Close' when creating alerts.

Color Candles - an option to transpose the bullish and bearish crossovers to the main candle bars. Can be turned off in the Style Tab by deselecting 'Bar Colors'. Dark blue is bullish, dark purple is bearish, and the black inner color is neutral. Note that the outer red and green border will still be distinguished by whether each individual candle is bearish or bullish during the specified timeframe.

Entry and Exit Conditions:
LONG:
DMI Cross Up: The Directional Movement Index (DMI) indicates a bullish trend when the positive directional movement (+DI) crosses above the negative directional movement (-DI).
Bollinger Bands (BB): The price is below the upper Bollinger Band, indicating a potential reversal from the upper band.
Momentum Indicator: Momentum is positive, suggesting increasing buying pressure.
MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence): The MACD line is above the signal line, indicating bullish momentum.
Supertrend Indicator: The Supertrend indicator signals an uptrend.
Schaff Trend Cycle (STC): The STC indicates a bullish trend.
Aroon Indicator: The Aroon indicator signals a bullish trend or crossover.
When all these conditions are met simultaneously, the strategy considers it a favorable opportunity to enter a long trade.
SHORT:

THIS ISN'T AN OPTIMAL STRATEGY AT ALL! It was just an old project from when I started learning pine script!
The backtest doesn't promise the same results in the future, always do both in-sample and out-of-sample testing when backtesting a strategy. And make sure you forward test it as well before implementing it!
Furthermore this strategy uses both trend and mean-reversion systems, that is usually a no-go if you want to build robust trend systems .

Directional Movement Index FLEXA common problem experienced by short term traders using DMI/ADX is that the session breaks results in carry-over effects from the prior session. For example, a large gap up would result in a positive DMI, even though momentum is clearly negative. Note the extremely different results in the morning session, when the gap is reversed.
The DMI-FLEX algoritm resets the +DI and -DI values to the prior session ending midpoint, so that new momentum can be observed from the indicator. (Note for Pinescript coders: rma function does not accept series int, thus the explicit pine_rma function)
DMI-FLEX has the added feature that the ADX value, instead of a separate line, is shown as shading between the +DI and -DI lines, and the color itself is determined by whether +DI is above -DI for a bullish color, or -DI is above +DI for a bearish color.
DMI Flex also gives you the flexibility of inverse colors, in case your chart has inverted scale.
Summary and How to use:
1) Green when +DI is above -DI
2) Red when -DI is above +DI
3) Deeper shading represents a higher ADX value.
