Untested Levels - PD Highs, Lows & GapsUntested Levels automatically maps the session prices futures traders commonly mark by hand: previous regular-session highs and lows, current and prior overnight highs and lows, previous closes and unfilled gap levels, plus the all-time high.
The purpose is simple: spend less time redrawing levels every morning and keep important price context visible as the market develops. Each line begins where its high, low, or close was established and is labeled with both its name and exact price.
The indicator is designed around the session structure of CME equity index futures, particularly Nasdaq futures (NQ/MNQ) and S&P 500 futures (ES/MES). Its session times are fully configurable, so the same framework can be used with other futures markets whose trading sessions are defined appropriately.
WHY IT IS DIFFERENT
Many session-level tools either show only the most recent day or remove a level as soon as price reaches it. This indicator maintains a structured history and treats a level's first breach separately from its display timing.
By default, a prior level that is breached during the current trading day remains visible until the day rolls over. This preserves the line for the rest of the session, allowing you to see whether a former high or low is subsequently respected, rejected, or used as support or resistance. If you prefer immediate removal, the "Hide breached levels immediately" setting is available.
Regular-session highs and lows, overnight highs and lows, and prior closes each have their own lookback setting. You can retain more history for one class of level without overcrowding the chart with every other class.
The calculations are session-defined rather than chart-defined. They are built from the symbol's extended-hours feed, so switching the chart between Regular Trading Hours and Electronic Trading Hours does not change the underlying levels. An RTH chart can therefore remain visually clean while still displaying the overnight high and low.
LEVEL NAMES
The numbering follows trading days, not calendar dates. The overnight session belongs to the same trading day as the regular session that follows it.
YD High / YD Low
Yesterday's regular-session high and low.
PD 2 High / PD 2 Low
The regular-session high and low from two trading days ago.
PD 3, PD 4, and later numbers continue in the same way.
YD is effectively the first prior trading day, so there is no separate
"PD 1 High" or "PD 1 Low" label.
ON High / ON Low
The current trading day's overnight-session high and low.
These update while the overnight session is forming.
ETH 1 High / ETH 1 Low
The overnight high and low associated with yesterday's regular session.
ETH 1 therefore pairs with YD.
ETH 2 High / ETH 2 Low
The overnight high and low from two trading days ago.
ETH 2 pairs with PD 2, ETH 3 pairs with PD 3, and so on.
YD Close
The most recent configured session close. This level always displays when
previous-close levels are enabled.
PD 2 Close, PD 3 Close, etc.
Older configured closes that remain unfilled by a later regular session.
These levels identify still-open historical gaps within the selected
gap lookback.
ATH
The all-time high. If a displayed high is also the all-time high, its
normal label receives an ATH prefix. If the all-time high is not one of
the displayed session levels, a separate ATH line is drawn.
SESSION CALCULATIONS
Each configured trading day is divided into three parts:
Overnight session:
Trading-day start to the regular-session open.
This produces ON and ETH highs and lows.
Regular session:
Regular-session open to regular-session close.
This produces YD and PD highs and lows.
Post-close tail:
Regular-session close to the next trading-day start.
This does not create a new session high or low, but its price action can
breach an existing level.
The default times are expressed in Pacific Time:
Trading day starts: 15:00
Regular session opens: 06:30
Regular session closes: 13:15
Close candle opens: 13:55
The time zone and all session boundaries can be changed in the settings. The "Close candle" input identifies the opening time of the candle whose closing price will be stored. If that exact candle is unavailable, the script uses the last available candle before the selected time.
WHAT COUNTS AS UNTESTED
A prior regular-session high remains unbreached until later price trades above it. A prior regular-session low remains unbreached until later price trades below it. The calculation considers price action after the level's own regular session, including that day's post-close tail, later overnight sessions, and later regular sessions.
An overnight high or low is evaluated only against price action after that overnight session ends. This prevents the price action that created the level from also invalidating it.
By default, an exact touch does not count as a breach; price must trade through the level. Enable "Exact touch counts as a breach" if you want a touch to invalidate it.
YD High, YD Low, ON High, ON Low, and YD Close remain available as current reference levels even when tested. Older PD and ETH levels are filtered according to their breach status and your selected display timing.
PREVIOUS CLOSES AND GAPS
YD Close always shows when enabled. Older closes appear as PD n Close only while their gap remains unfilled.
Gap status is based on later regular-session price action. Overnight and post-close-tail activity do not fill a close gap. This keeps the gap logic aligned with the cash-session context rather than allowing overnight movement alone to remove the level.
An alert condition is included for price touching or crossing YD Close during the regular session.
ALL-TIME HIGH
The ATH calculation combines available chart history, extended-hours intraday history, and extended daily history. If the ATH matches a displayed high, that label is prefixed with ATH and emphasized. Otherwise, the indicator creates a standalone ATH level so the price remains marked even when it falls outside the selected session lookbacks.
LOOKBACKS AND DISPLAY CONTROLS
The indicator provides independent controls for:
• Regular-session high/low lookback
• Overnight high/low lookback
• Prior-close and gap lookback
• YD, PD, ON, ETH, close, ATH, and label visibility
• Immediate or end-of-day removal of breached levels
• Exact-touch breach behavior
• Session times and time zone
• Colors, line style, line width, label size, and label offset
Separating the lookbacks makes it possible to retain a broad history of untested highs and lows while using a shorter window for overnight levels or gaps.
RTH AND ETH CHART BEHAVIOR
All session values are requested from extended-hours data, so the same calculated levels appear whether the chart is displaying RTH or ETH candles.
PulseWire scripts only execute when the chart receives a bar. An RTH chart therefore cannot update live while its chart session is closed. To handle this, "Roll levels at the regular session close" is enabled by default. It advances the labels and removes levels breached during the completed day on the final regular-session bar, leaving a frozen RTH chart in the correct end-of-session state. The extended-hours feed completes the normal rollover when the next chart session begins.
For live overnight development of ON High and ON Low, use an ETH chart.
HOW TO USE THE LEVELS
These lines identify historically significant prices; they do not predict which level price will visit or how price will react when it gets there. Traders may use them as context for targets, breakouts, failed breakouts, support/resistance flips, gap fills, and confluence with their own trade setups.
The retained-line behavior is especially useful after a breach: instead of losing the reference immediately, you can observe whether price returns to the level and changes its behavior around it later in the same session.
LIMITATIONS
This indicator is intended for intraday charts. Its session calculations use an extended-hours intraday feed, set to five minutes by default. Available lookback depth depends on the amount of intraday history PulseWire provides for the symbol and the user's plan.
Session defaults are designed for the stated CME equity index futures workflow. Confirm and adjust the time zone, trading-day start, regular-session boundaries, and close-candle time before using the indicator on another market.
Holiday schedules, shortened sessions, missing bars, exchange data differences, and delayed feeds can affect the levels. Use standard price charts and verify the settings for the instrument being traded.

LEVELS. Previous Day High/Low and Previous Week High/Low are pulled via higher-timeframe requests and rendered as persistent lines extending from today's session open to the right. The nearest round number is drawn as a single dotted line on the chart; the full list of nearby round numbers is shown in the dashboard panel to keep the chart clean.
BIAS SCORE. For each timeframe (1H, 4H, 1D, 1W), three components are evaluated: fast EMA versus slow EMA relationship, close versus fast EMA position, and fast EMA slope direction. Each component contributes plus or minus one, averaged to a per-timeframe score between -1 and +1. The four timeframe scores are then combined using the selected weighting mode and normalized to a 0-100 scale. Scores above 65 are labeled Bull, below 35 Bear, and in between Neutral.
VOLATILITY. Daily ATR over the configurable length (default 14) determines the expected range. The range is centered on today's session open and expanded by the Range Multiplier input. ATR as a percentage of open price classifies the regime: below 1% is Low, above 4% is High, in between is Normal.
PLANS. The script composes Plan A (primary, aligned with bias), optionally Plan B (alternative, opposite-side rejection path), and optionally Plan C (range / mean-reversion, activated when volatility is low or bias is neutral). Plan references adapt automatically to chart timeframe — intraday and daily charts use PDH/PDL, weekly and higher charts use PWH/PWL. The language is deliberately conditional and references historical patterns rather than predicting future prices.

Previous-period levels are pulled from the daily, weekly, and monthly timeframes using request.security() with lookahead enabled for the completed-period values. This approach is standard, transparent, and non-repainting — historical data does not change.
Session levels are tracked bar by bar using customizable session time inputs. Each session resets at its start time and tracks the running high and low until the session closes. The Asian, London, and New York sessions can each be configured independently.
Touch detection uses an ATR-based tolerance band (default 10% of ATR). When price closes within that tolerance of a level, the touch counter increments. A break is registered when price closes on the opposite side of a level compared to the prior bar. Respect rate is calculated as touches / (touches + breaks) × 100.
Line width scales with touch count: 1 touch = width 1, 2–4 touches = width 2, 5+ touches = width 3. Broken levels switch to dashed style and a muted color.
The label collision system operates in three stages: first, all enabled levels are collected into a sorted array; second, same-price levels are deduplicated based on priority (Monthly highest, Session lowest); third, an upward sweep enforces minimum vertical spacing using a blend of ATR and chart-range heuristics, ensuring labels never overlap regardless of market volatility.

Each session open is evaluated inside a fixed measurement window, and the resulting reaction is broken down into four dimensions: dominant move, close follow-through, wick rejection and counter-move penalty. The output is a single 0-100 reaction score that is then translated into tier-coded labels, premium reaction zones, an active reference band and a compact status panel, so you can instantly read what happened at each session open without scrolling through candles.
The indicator is designed for discretionary traders, systematic traders, SMC and price action practitioners who want a clean, consistent and quantitative way to read session open behaviour around PDH, PDL, PDM, Daily Open and Weekly Open. Reactions are drawn as directional zones (bull zones above the reference and bear zones below), with up or down pointing labels centered on the reaction, so orientation is always unambiguous.

Most session open tools only mark time windows or highlight levels. Session Reaction Map goes further and quantifies the quality of the reaction itself. Four independent dimensions are measured against a fixed ATR-normalized baseline, and the final score determines not only whether a label is shown but also how prominent it is. Elite scores (80+) get the strongest visuals; strong scores (70-79) get a slightly softer treatment; watch scores (55-69) are coded as caution; anything below 55 is filtered out by default.

Session detection uses the chosen timezone and three session windows (Asia, London, New York), each with its own editable open range. When a session open occurs, the script checks whether the open price is within an ATR based touch tolerance of any enabled reference level (Previous Day High, Previous Day Low, Previous Day Mid, Daily Open or Weekly Open). If so, a reaction window is engaged on that bar and tracked for a configurable number of bars.
During the reaction window, the live zone, reference band and dashed reference line are updated in real time. When the window completes, the final score is computed as:
• Dominant move score (up to 45 points) - scaled against 1.20 x ATR
• Close follow-through score (up to 30 points) - scaled against 0.90 x ATR
• Wick rejection score (up to 15 points) - scaled against 0.50 x ATR
• Counter-move penalty (up to -20 points) - scaled against 1.00 x ATR
The sum is clamped into the 0-100 range and mapped into four tiers: Elite, Strong, Watch and Weak. The dominant direction of the reaction (up or down) is determined by comparing the upside excursion from the reference to the downside excursion from the reference during the window.

Labels use a ring buffer overlap check, so dense multi-session conditions do not pile labels on top of each other. When two labels would visually conflict, the higher-scored reaction wins.

📘 HOW TO USE
1. Apply the script on an intraday timeframe. It is designed for intraday use and will stay passive on daily/higher timeframes.
2. Recommended starting timeframe is 4H for swing intraday context, and 1H for tactical intraday work. Lower timeframes (15m, 30m) work too but may produce dense output.
3. Start with the default settings. Observe which sessions and which reference levels generate the most Elite and Strong reactions on your symbol.
4. Use the panel to monitor the current state: last session, last reference, bias, score, tier, label filter, zone filter and the active reaction status.
5. Treat Elite (80+) and Strong (70-79) reactions as the main signals. Watch tier is informative and Weak tier is generally discarded.
6. Align with your own confluence: higher timeframe bias, structure, orderflow, or whatever your primary framework is. The script does not issue buy or sell calls - it scores reactions, and you decide.

🔸 WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Most open-line indicators simply draw horizontal lines for Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Previous Close and stop there. This script goes further by adding four layers on top of those lines:
• State tracking — each reference is classified as Untouched, 1st Touch, Tested, Held, Reclaimed, or Rejected, and the state updates bar by bar as price interacts with the level.
• Control attribution — a proximity-weighted scoring system selects one reference as the current "controller" of price action, highlighted with a dominant-row background in the panel and a thicker line on the chart.
• Confluence grouping — when two or more references sit within 0.5 ATR of each other, they collapse into a single cluster label (for example "D-Open + W-Open + PClose") instead of stacking separate labels on top of each other.
• Distance-aware rendering — references far from current price are demoted to a thin gray zone with a dotted line, keeping them visible as structural context without crowding the active map.
The engine also includes a far-aware state machine: references that price has not meaningfully engaged stay in the Untouched state instead of being forced into misleading classifications.
🔷 METHODOLOGY
Reference levels are pulled directly from the higher timeframe open (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) and the previous daily close using lookahead-safe security calls on confirmed bars.
Distance classification uses ATR(14) as a volatility scale. A reference is considered "near" when price is within a configurable ATR multiple and "far" when it exceeds the far-distance threshold. This adapts the map to both low-volatility ranges and high-volatility expansions without manual tuning.
State transitions are driven by a finite state machine with six states. Key transitions:
• Untouched → 1st Touch when price enters the touch zone (default 0.25 ATR) or wicks through it.
• 1st Touch / Tested → Held when price moves cleanly away from the level on the same side.
• 1st Touch / Tested → Reclaimed when price closes on the opposite side (optionally requiring multi-bar confirmation).
• Any engaged state → Rejected when a large wick rebounds from the level with more than 60 percent wick ratio.
• Held / Rejected → Reclaimed on a confirmed cross.
The control score combines proximity (how close price is to the reference relative to ATR) with a state weight (Reclaimed and 1st Touch score highest, Held scores lowest). The reference with the highest score is tagged as controller; if no reference has meaningful engagement the panel reports No Active Control.

All parameters are ATR-scaled so defaults transfer cleanly across instruments and timeframes.
🔸 HOW TO USE
1. Open the panel and read the controller. If the footer shows "D-Open Controls" with a Bull bias, intraday operators treat Daily Open as the session pivot and trade with that bias until the state changes.
2. Watch the confluence label. A grouped label such as "D-Open + W-Open + PClose" means three references are stacked — a cluster of this kind is typically a higher-conviction zone than a single isolated reference.
3. Use state transitions as triggers. A Rejected state at Monthly Open during a rally is a different signal than a Reclaimed state at the same level. The state tells you what just happened at the level, not just where the level is.
4. Use the far zone as context. A Monthly Open plotted as a gray zone five ATR away from price is not an execution level — it is orientation. When price approaches it, the zone transitions into an active band and the state engine re-engages.
5. Combine with your own structure work. This map is designed to sit underneath price action analysis, order flow, or trend tools, not replace them.
🔷 LIMITATIONS AND TRANSPARENCY
• This is an indicator, not a strategy. No entries, exits, position sizing, or backtesting is performed.
• Reference prices are sourced from higher timeframe candles using confirmed lookahead. Results on intraday charts should match the official Daily, Weekly, and Monthly opens of the exchange the chart is connected to.
• State classifications are heuristic. They describe observed behavior at each level in historical terms and should not be read as forecasts. A Reclaimed state is a description of what just happened, not a prediction of what comes next.
• ATR-based thresholds mean the map adapts to volatility but can feel different on very low-volume or very thinly traded instruments. Adjust the touch threshold and far distance inputs if defaults feel too loose or too tight.
• Confluence grouping uses a 0.5 ATR window. On very wide-range days this window can become large; on very narrow ranges it can feel tight.

作为一名独立开发者与实战交易者,我构建此工具是为了解决一个长期的困扰:标准时段指标精度的缺失。对于基于市场微观结构进行交易的人来说,“大约准确”的水位本身就是一种逻辑错误。
Key Price Levels Daily Ver 是我对日内关键水位线的个人工程化实现,专注于以“外科手术式”的精度重构时段数据。它专为那些需要可靠、过滤噪音的基准位来锚定日内执行的交易者而设计。
核心设计逻辑:
1秒级微观重构 (1S Precision) :我不满足于直接调用现成的日线数据。脚本通过扫描 1秒 (1S) 微观颗粒度数据 来重构整个交易时段,确保 POC 和价值区的计算基准来自于最真实的成交细节。
15分钟周期硬限制 :为了保证 1S 数据聚合的极致精度,本脚本仅限在 15分钟及以下周期 运行。在更长周期调用微观数据会导致精度大幅下降。作为开发者,我不允许“大约准确”的逻辑存在于我的系统里。
自适应视觉层级 (Fade & Limits) :通过内置的 淡化强度 (Fade) 与 周期限制 (Limits) ,水位线会根据你当前的图表周期自动调节透明度或可见性。
可靠性设计 :在 24/7 不间断的交易中,脚本的稳定性至关重要。我在代码底层加入了防御性设计(包括 98,000 数组容量熔断机制 ),旨在防止极端行情下的计算溢出或图表崩溃。我追求的是一个能让人放心的工具,若你在使用中发现任何问题,欢迎随时反馈,我们共同完善。
