Crosswind is a signal and trade management indicator built on EMA crossovers, but the crossover itself is only the starting point. Most crossover systems break down in two predictable places. They enter on the cross, which is very often the worst price in the whole move, and they exit at a fixed percentage target, which caps the rare large trends that are supposed to pay for all the small losers. Crosswind addresses both problems and then reports every result net of trading costs, so you can judge whether an edge actually survives the fee schedule.
THREE TIMEFRAME PRESETS
Selecting a trading style sets the EMA pair for you. 15 Min Scalping uses 9 and 21. 1 Hour Swing uses 13 and 48. Daily Trend uses 15 and 150. The preset also sets the width of the trailing stop, since noise that is meaningless on a daily chart will repeatedly eject you from a position on a 15 minute chart.
TREND FILTER
A 200 period SMA gates direction. Long signals are only considered while price trades above it and short signals only while price trades below it. The chart background shades faint green above and faint red below so the active regime is visible at a glance.
TWO SIGNAL MODES
Crossover mode fires when the fast EMA crosses the slow EMA in the direction of the trend filter.
Pullback mode waits. After the fast EMA crosses above the slow EMA, no signal is issued yet. The indicator waits for price to retrace into the slow EMA and then close back across it, within a window of bars that you control. You are buying the first dip after trend confirmation rather than the extension itself. Fewer signals, but a materially better average entry, and your initial stop sits closer to structure.
OPTIONAL MACD CONFIRMATION
A standard MACD can be required to agree with the signal direction. It reduces frequency and filters some counter momentum entries.
HOW A TRADE IS MANAGED
Risk is measured in R, where 1R is the initial stop distance of 2x ATR. Every number the indicator reports is expressed in these units, which makes results comparable across symbols and volatility regimes.
A trade passes through three stages.
Initial stop. Placed 2x ATR from entry. Nothing moves while the trade is proving itself.
Breakeven. Once the trade reaches 1R in your favour, the stop advances to entry plus the full round trip cost plus a small cushion. This is a real breakeven, not a nominal one, so a trade stopped at this stage does not quietly book a small loss.
Trail. Once the trade reaches 1.5R, a chandelier trail arms. It tracks the highest high reached since entry, offset by an ATR multiple, and it only ever ratchets in your favour. The stop line turns blue when the trail is live, so the current stage is always obvious on the chart.
There is no fixed profit target by default. A winning trade runs until the trail takes it out. If you want a cap for comparison purposes you can set a hard target expressed in R.
An alternative EMA trail is included, which follows the slow EMA with an ATR buffer, for traders who prefer a moving average exit.
COST ACCOUNTING
Fees and slippage are charged per side against the actual entry and exit prices, so cost scales properly with price rather than being a flat assumption. Funding is optional and charged per eight hours held, scaled by your chart timeframe. Defaults assume 0.06 percent taker fees and 0.02 percent slippage. Lower the fee if you post maker orders.
This matters more than most traders expect. Cost per trade is roughly twice the round trip percentage divided by the stop distance. On a daily chart with a wide stop this rounds to almost nothing. On a 15 minute chart with a tight ATR it can exceed a tenth of an R on every single trade, which is enough to turn a system with a respectable win rate into a losing one.
READING THE LABEL
The status label reports the live trade state and the closed trade record. Net R and average R per trade are the headline numbers. Gross R and cost drag are shown alongside them deliberately. If cost drag is consuming a large fraction of gross R, the honest conclusion is that the configuration trades too frequently for the size of its edge, and the fix is a stricter entry filter rather than a cleverer exit.
Best and worst trade, win rate, and the outcome of the most recent trade are also shown. Trend following configurations typically produce a win rate below fifty percent while remaining profitable, because the winners are much larger than the losers. Judge the system on average R, not on win rate.
ALERTS
Five alert conditions are available. Long signal, short signal, either signal, stop or trail hit, and trail armed.
THE CONFIGURATION I USE
1 Hour Swing preset with signal mode set to Pullback, and the reversal option left off so that an opposite signal does not close and flip an open position. Trades finish on their own stop or trail, and the next signal is only taken once flat. This produces a lower trade count with cleaner entries and lets the trail do the work of deciding when a move is over.
LIMITATIONS WORTH KNOWING
Signals evaluate on bar close. Stop resolution uses the level carried in from the previous bar before the trail updates on the current bar, which avoids look ahead but means the trail lags by one bar. When a single bar's range covers both the stop and a hard target, the result is scored as a stop, because OHLC data cannot reveal which level was reached first. The statistics are a study of signal quality, not a full backtest, and they assume constant risk per trade with no position sizing or compounding.

Macrodoser Moving Average CloudsMacrodoser MA Clouds is a configurable trend-visualization indicator that plots five independent moving-average clouds—ten moving averages in total—directly on the price chart.
While moving-average clouds are a familiar concept, this implementation is designed to provide a more complete and flexible workspace in a single indicator. Its distinguishing feature is the combination of five separately configurable clouds, multiple moving-average types, optional direction-colored MA lines, customizable visuals, and deliberate cloud layering.
HOW IT WORKS
Each cloud consists of a short moving average and a long moving average calculated from the same selected price source.
• When the short MA is greater than or equal to the long MA, the cloud uses its configured bullish color.
• When the short MA is below the long MA, the cloud uses its configured bearish color.
The optional MA lines have their own directional coloring. Each line uses its bullish color while rising and its bearish color while falling. This means the line colors represent the slope of each individual average, while the cloud color represents the relationship between the short and long averages.
MOVING-AVERAGE OPTIONS
Each cloud can independently use one of five calculation methods:
• EMA — Exponential Moving Average
• SMA — Simple Moving Average
• HMA — Hull Moving Average
• WMA — Weighted Moving Average
• RMA — Running Moving Average
This makes it possible to build an all-EMA ribbon, use a different MA type for each cloud, or create a custom combination for a particular market or trading style.
DEFAULT CLOUDS
The default configuration uses the closing price as the source and EMA calculations with the following short/long lengths:
• Cloud 1: 5 / 13
• Cloud 2: 9 / 13
• Cloud 3: 21 / 50
• Cloud 4: 100 / 200
• Cloud 5: 400 / 800
These defaults provide several views of market structure, ranging from short-term momentum to much longer-term trend context. They are starting points only and can be changed to suit the instrument and timeframe being analyzed.
CUSTOMIZATION
Every cloud includes independent controls for:
• Visibility
• Short and long MA lengths
• Price source
• Moving-average type
• Plot offset
• MA-line visibility
• Rising and falling colors for each MA line
• Bullish and bearish cloud colors
• Color transparency
The MA lines can be hidden for a cleaner cloud-only chart or displayed when the exact averages and their individual directions are useful.
PURPOSEFUL CLOUD LAYERING
The clouds use a deliberate drawing order. Cloud 5 is drawn first at the bottom of the visual stack, followed by Clouds 4 through 1. Cloud 1 is therefore the top layer.
When using the clouds from faster to slower, place the shortest-term pair in Cloud 1 and continue toward the longest-term pair in Cloud 5. This keeps faster clouds visible above slower clouds and produces more intuitive blending when transparent colors overlap.
A different ordering can be used intentionally, but reversing this structure may allow a longer-term cloud to cover shorter-term information.
WAYS TO USE IT
The indicator can help visualize:
• Short-, medium-, and long-term trend structure
• Bullish or bearish alignment across several MA pairs
• Changes in momentum as individual averages turn
• Moving-average crossovers and cloud transitions
• Compression, expansion, and overlap between trend horizons
• Areas where different trend horizons agree or conflict
For example, several bullish clouds stacked above their respective longer averages can indicate broad trend alignment. Mixed cloud states can highlight a transition or disagreement between short- and long-term structure.
IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
Moving averages are lagging calculations derived from historical price data. They do not predict future price movement, and cloud transitions can produce false or rapidly changing indications in sideways or volatile markets.
The current, unfinished chart bar can change as new price data arrives. Plot offsets move the display forward by the selected number of bars for visual purposes; they do not provide future information or change the underlying calculations.

The golden cross — the fast moving average crossing above the slow, classically the 50 over the 200 — is one of the most watched events in all of trading, and the death cross is its bearish mirror. Every major cross makes financial headlines. This engine turns that famous event from a headline into a measurable, projectable, and auditable object on your chart.
🔶 WHAT ARE THE GOLDEN CROSS AND DEATH CROSS?
A golden cross occurs when a faster moving average (traditionally the 50 period) closes above a slower one (traditionally the 200 period), signaling that intermediate momentum has overtaken the long-term trend — historically read as the start of a bullish regime. A death cross is the opposite: the fast average crossing below the slow, read as the start of a bearish regime. Because both averages move slowly, the cross itself is a lagging event — which is exactly why this engine adds a convergence countdown that shows the cross forming before it prints.
🔶 WHY THIS SCRIPT IS ORIGINAL
1. The convergence countdown. The engine measures the current slope of both averages and projects their geometry forward, drawing the two converging paths and marking where and when they would meet: "Golden Cross ≈ 9 bars" with the projected price level. It is a projection at current slopes — clearly labeled as such, never a forecast — and it makes the most-watched lagging signal in trading visible in advance. An approach alert fires when the countdown first enters your chosen lead window.
2. Markers that settle into their outcome. Every cross prints in neutral gold, then resolves twenty bars later: the bullish or bearish color if the cross delivered, faded gray if it failed. The chart becomes its own audit trail — scroll back and see the honest history of every cross on the symbol.
3. Per-symbol cross statistics. Using shrinkage-adjusted win rates and Wilson confidence bounds, the engine reports how often golden and death crosses were favorable on this exact symbol and timeframe at five, twenty, and sixty bars, with sample counts and average moves — on every marker's tooltip and in the dashboard. It answers "does the golden cross actually work here" with data instead of folklore.
4. Cross quality grading. Every cross is graded A, B, or C from three observable conditions: elevated volume at the cross, slope steepness of the fast average, and momentum confirmation of price relative to it. Grade A crosses are the full-confluence events.
5. A living regime fill. The zone between the averages breathes: the bullish or bearish tint intensifies as the gap widens and pales as a cross approaches, so regime strength and regime fatigue are visible at a glance. Cross bars flash once.
6. Multi-timeframe cross state. The dashboard shows whether the fast average is above or below the slow on the fifteen-minute, one-hour, four-hour, daily, and weekly timeframes simultaneously — full-stack regime alignment in two compact rows.
🔶 HOW IT WORKS
Averages: Selectable simple or exponential averages at configurable lengths, defaulting to the classic 50 and 200.
Countdown: The engine computes each average's recent slope and solves the convergence geometry. When the averages are approaching within the horizon, it draws both projected paths, the meeting diamond with the bar count, and the projected level. When they are separating, the dashboard reads Diverging.
Statistics: Each confirmed cross records what price actually did five, twenty, and sixty bars later, in the cross's direction, into capped first-in-first-out databases. Win rates are pulled toward fifty percent by pseudo-samples so a thin history cannot display fake confidence, and each rate carries a Wilson lower bound. Crosses are rare events by nature, so sample counts are honest and often small — markers read "collecting history" until the minimum is met.
Outcome settlement: Each marker stores its cross price; twenty bars later it recolors by the realized directional outcome and joins the capped history.
Grading: Volume z-score, normalized slope steepness, and price-side confirmation combine into the A, B, C grade shown on the marker tooltip and dashboard.
Non-repainting: Crosses, grades, and statistics are evaluated on closed bars. The countdown updates on the live bar by design — it is a live projection, and it is labeled as one.
🔶 HOW TO USE IT
1. The natural home is the daily chart of major symbols — indices, large-capitalization stocks, cryptocurrency — where the 50 and 200 cross is the famous event. Intraday charts work identically with proportionally more crosses and deeper samples.
2. Watch the countdown as regime alarm: a shrinking bar count with a steepening fast average means the regime change is forming in front of you.
3. Read the settled history before trusting a fresh cross: a chart full of gray markers is telling you crossovers chop on this symbol; a chart of colored ones is telling you they trend.
4. Use the grade as confluence: an A-grade cross with volume, steep slope, and price confirmation is a different event from a flat, quiet drift-through.
5. Check the timeframe rows: a golden cross on your chart while the daily and weekly already sit bullish is alignment; against them, it is a counter-trend event.
6. The statistics rows are context, not commands — favorable rates describe this chart's history, never the next cross.

🔶 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does the indicator repaint? No. Crosses, grades, statistics, and marker settlement are evaluated on closed bars. The countdown is a live-bar projection and is explicitly presented as one.
Is the countdown a prediction? No. It is where the averages meet if both keep their current slopes. Slopes change; the countdown updates with them. Its value is showing the event forming, not promising the date.
Why are the sample counts small? Because genuine crosses are rare — a daily chart may produce only a handful in years of data. The engine shows honest small numbers with confidence bounds instead of inventing large ones, and lower timeframes build deeper samples.
Why did an old cross marker turn gray? It failed: twenty bars after that cross, price had not moved in the cross's direction. Gray markers are the audit trail working.
Which lengths should I use? The classic 50 and 200 define the famous event. Faster pairs produce more crosses and richer statistics at the cost of more noise.

Moving average crossovers are lagging by construction, and the countdown inherits the assumption of stable slopes. 🔹 CORE CONCEPT
Three exponential moving averages — fast (8), mid (21), and slow (55) — form a visual ribbon on the chart. When the EMAs stack in order (fast > mid > slow), the trend is bullish. When they invert, the trend is bearish. Anything else is a transitional state labeled neutral.
The ribbon is more than directional. The distance between the fastest and slowest EMA (the "spread") measures trend strength as a percentage, and the rate at which the ribbon expands or contracts reveals momentum shifts before price confirms them.
🔹 WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
Most EMA ribbons stop at direction and color. This indicator adds four analytical layers that standard ribbons lack:
▸ Ribbon Squeeze Detection
The indicator continuously measures ribbon width against its own moving average. When the three EMAs converge below a configurable threshold (default: 30% of average width), the ribbon turns yellow and the dashboard flags an active squeeze. Compression precedes expansion — a squeeze ending often marks the start of a directional move. Dedicated markers appear on the chart when a squeeze releases into a bullish or bearish trend.
▸ Composite Momentum Score (0–100)
A single number synthesizing four components, each weighted equally at 25 points:
— EMA alignment: full bullish or bearish stack scores 25, mixed scores 0
— Slope agreement: all three EMAs rising or all falling scores 25, partial agreement scores 12
— Spread strength: scaled between 0–25 based on where the current spread falls relative to the user-defined weak and strong thresholds
— Price position: price above the ribbon in a bullish trend (or below in bearish) scores 25, inside the ribbon scores 10, on the wrong side scores 0
The score is color-coded: cyan (80+), teal (60–79), orange (40–59), red (below 40).
▸ Dynamic Slope-Adaptive Colors
When enabled, each EMA line independently changes color based on its own slope — rising EMAs render green, falling EMAs render red. This provides an early visual warning when individual EMAs begin to flatten or turn, even while the overall stack remains intact. A bullish stack where the slow EMA has turned red is a qualitatively different signal than one where all three are green.
▸ Multi-Timeframe Dashboard
A built-in table displays trend state, spread, and grade across five timeframes simultaneously: the current chart timeframe plus 15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour, and daily. The active chart timeframe is marked with ► in the MTF rows if it matches one of the fixed timeframes. A confluence row at the bottom counts how many timeframes are bullish versus bearish and outputs a directional bias: Strong Bull (4–5 aligned), Bull Lean (3), Neutral (mixed), Bear Lean (3 bearish), or Strong Bear (4–5 bearish).
🔹 CROSSOVER SIGNAL HIERARCHY
Not all EMA crossovers carry equal weight. The indicator differentiates three tiers with distinct marker sizes and shapes:
▸ Fast × Mid (tiny triangles) — Early signal. The 8 EMA crossing the 21 EMA indicates short-term momentum shift. Frequent, noisy, best used as an alert rather than a trigger.
▸ Fast × Slow (standard triangles) — Confirmation signal. The 8 EMA crossing the 55 EMA has more significance and filters out minor pullbacks.
▸ Mid × Slow (diamonds) — Trend shift signal. The 21 EMA crossing the 55 EMA typically marks a genuine change in trend direction. This is the least frequent and most reliable crossover in the set.
All crossover markers can be toggled off independently.

The core idea behind MACD Momentum Entry Engine is that a crossover alone contains limited context.
A basic crossover only confirms that one MACD line has moved through another.
It does not automatically explain:
• whether the histogram is expanding
• whether momentum is accelerating
• whether the move is occurring in a directional or choppy market
• whether the signal candle supports the direction
• whether MACD separation is meaningful relative to recent behavior
• whether momentum has persisted
• whether price is aligned with an optional trend filter
• whether a recent signal already occurred
• whether a visual trade model is already active
The engine therefore uses a staged sequence:

MACD Momentum Entry Engine is not designed to be used as a blind buy/sell system.
A raw MACD event must move through multiple stages:
A crossover or momentum event appears
→ the event is classified
→ the momentum-quality layer is evaluated
→ the trend-bias layer is evaluated
→ the anti-chop layer is evaluated
→ the candle and entry-quality layer is evaluated
→ zero-line and absolute-strength filters are checked
→ cooldown and active-trade restrictions are checked
→ the setup must remain valid at candle close
→ a permanent LONG or SHORT setup is printed
→ Entry, SL, TP1, TP2, and TP3 are projected
→ the trade model is monitored from the following candle

The MACD core defines the momentum relationship.
The setup engine identifies what kind of event occurred.
The momentum-quality engine measures the internal strength of that event.
The anti-chop engine measures whether the broader environment is directional enough for the selected mode.
The entry-qualification engine evaluates the signal candle and immediate price response.
The trend-bias engine optionally restricts direction.
The trade engine standardizes the visual risk framework.

The script operates through connected calculation stages.
First, it calculates every supported moving-average type on every candle.
The selected average type is then used for the fast MACD average, slow MACD average, and signal average.
The MACD line is the difference between the selected fast and slow averages.
The histogram is the difference between the MACD line and the signal line.

The indicator uses ATR normalization to compare certain values across changing volatility conditions.
The Absolute Strength Filter calculates:
Absolute Histogram Strength = |Histogram| / ATR × 100.
This value is used as an additional minimum-strength condition.
The default settings are:
• Normalization ATR Length: 14
• Minimum Absolute Strength: 1.0
• Use Absolute Strength Filter: enabled
ATR normalization helps reduce dependence on the raw numerical scale of a market.
For example, a raw MACD histogram value cannot be compared directly across instruments with very different prices and volatility.
Normalization places the histogram in relation to the instrument’s recent ATR.
The same ATR framework is also used by:

The visual model contains three take-profit levels.
ATR Based mode calculates targets from the initial stop distance:
TP1 Distance = Initial Risk × TP1 RR.
TP2 Distance = Initial Risk × TP2 RR.
TP3 Distance = Initial Risk × TP3 RR.
XAUUSD Fixed Pips mode uses independent fixed target distances.
The script enforces the following order:
TP1 < TP2 < TP3.
If a selected value would violate that order, the next target is moved at least one minimum tick beyond the prior target.
The trade model internally treats the position as three equal portions.
Each target represents one-third of the model.
If Stop is reached after TP1 or TP2, the script calculates an internal net-R result from:
• the portions already modeled as closed at reached targets
• the remaining portion or portions modeled at Stop
This internal calculation supports Data Window counters.
It is not broker-verified performance.

• the complete model closes

The script uses one-active-trade-at-a-time visual management.
When the trade engine is enabled:
• a new trade model cannot open while another model is active
• a new trade cannot open on the same candle that closed the previous model
• the internal setup engine continues calculating
• permanent signals are restricted by trade-slot availability
This prevents overlapping Entry, TP, and SL structures.
It also keeps the trade lifecycle easier to interpret.
When the trade engine is disabled, qualified signals can still be evaluated without opening a visual trade model.
The one-active-model rule is a visual and analytical design choice.
It does not restrict the user’s personal trading activity.

⚠️ SAME-CANDLE TP / SL HANDLING
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Trade monitoring begins after the entry candle.
If a later historical candle touches both Stop and one or more targets, standard OHLC data does not reveal the exact intrabar sequence.
The indicator therefore provides two assumptions.
Stop First
If Stop and a target are both touched on the same candle, Stop is processed first.
This is the default and more conservative assumption.
Targets First
Reached targets are processed before Stop.
If TP3 is reached, the model closes at TP3.
Otherwise, remaining portions can close at Stop.
Neither mode reconstructs tick-level execution.
The indicator does not know:
• whether the high occurred before the low
• the bid/ask path
• actual fill sequence
• spread at the time
• slippage
• queue priority
• partial fills
The selected same-bar rule is a modeling assumption required by the limits of OHLC candles.

Momentum Conviction [HermesCore]WHAT THIS INDICATOR DOES
Momentum Conviction watches two things at the same moment: where price momentum turns, and how much agreement stands behind that turn. The turn is an EMA crossover — the fast EMA (Exponential Moving Average) crossing the slow one — but only when the MACD histogram (Moving Average Convergence Divergence, a standard momentum gauge) is leaning the same way. A LONG fires when the fast EMA crosses above the slow EMA while MACD momentum is positive; a SHORT is the exact mirror. A cross with no momentum behind it is ignored.
Every signal that does fire is then graded 0 to 5 by a conviction score, built from five independent checks the moment the signal prints. You decide how much conviction you require: show every signal, or raise the minimum and keep only the ones with weight behind them.
WHY IT IS DIFFERENT
Most moving-average tools print an arrow on every cross and leave you to separate the real ones from the noise by eye. My rules are:
A cross is not a signal on its own. It has to happen while MACD momentum agrees. A large share of the crosses that fail are crosses that fired into flat or opposing momentum; gating on the histogram removes them before they ever reach the chart.
The score is a filter, not decoration. It is not a confidence label added after the fact — it is five yes/no facts, known at signal time, summed. Set a minimum and the weak signals never appear.
The higher timeframe gets a vote, not the final word. One of the five points is HTF agreement, so you can weigh it without being ruled by it.
ADX is deliberately excluded. I tested it repeatedly on the charts this was built for and it did not earn a place.
Everything updates on confirmed bars only. No intrabar flicker, no repainting, and the higher-timeframe reads use no look-ahead.
HOW TO READ THE CHART
LONG bubble (green, below the bar) and SHORT bubble (red, above it) mark each qualifying signal. Bubble size is adjustable.
The gradient EMA cloud is aqua when the fast EMA sits above the slow one (uptrend lean) and magenta when below. The slow EMA carries a soft gold glow so the spine of the trend is always easy to find.
A faint background tint colours the whole pane in the trend colour — a peripheral regime cue, nothing to act on by itself.
A faint gold background band shows the previous day's and previous week's range, for context on where price sits inside the larger structure.
THE CONVICTION SCORE
Each check is worth one point, decided at signal time, and never changes afterwards:
Momentum strength — the MACD histogram is larger than its own 50-bar average: the push is bigger than this market's normal push. +1
Slope agreement — the fast EMA is itself moving in the signal's direction, not merely crossing. +1
Higher-timeframe trend — the chosen HTF (4H by default) is trending the same way; its price and 50/200 EMAs agree. +1
Not over-extended — price is within a set ATR (Average True Range, a volatility measure) distance of the slow EMA, so you are not entering after the move has already run. +1
RSI room — RSI (Relative Strength Index, 0–100) is not already at an extreme in the signal's direction; there is room left to travel. +1
Five of five is a cross with bigger-than-normal momentum, sloping the right way, aligned with the higher timeframe, entered near value, with room to run. Zero is a bare cross with nothing behind it. The minimum-score input is where you set your own bar.
HOW I USE IT
The defaults are deliberately fast (EMA 2/12) — a low-timeframe, many-signals setting. Slow the lengths down for swing work and you get fewer, heavier signals.
I treat a high-score signal that agrees with the higher timeframe as the one worth acting on, and a low-score signal as information about the tape rather than a trade. The honest part: this is trend and momentum logic. It earns its keep when the market trends and gives a good deal of it back in ranges. The regime tint and the HTF vote exist to keep you on the right side of that question, not to solve it — be honest with yourself about which regime you are actually in.
SETTINGS THAT MATTER
EMA fast/slow and MACD lengths — the engine. Defaults are fast; raise them for higher timeframes and fewer, heavier signals.
Minimum score (0) — your conviction bar. 0 shows everything; raise it to thin the chart to signals with agreement behind them.
Higher timeframe (4H) — the trend you check against. Match it to your horizon.
Max distance to slow EMA (2.0 ATR) — how far from value still counts as "not over-extended."
RSI overbought/oversold (72/28) — the "room left" thresholds.
Each score component can be switched off individually if you want to see what it contributes on its own.
ALERTS
Momentum Conviction LONG and Momentum Conviction SHORT, both firing on the confirmed close of the signal bar, with ticker and timeframe in the message.
CALCULATION DETAILS
All logic evaluates on confirmed bars. A signal cannot appear or disappear inside a forming candle.
The trigger is the fast/slow EMA cross; the gate is the sign of the MACD histogram on the same close.
The higher-timeframe trend uses that timeframe's prior-bar close and 50/200 EMAs, requested with no look-ahead, so it does not repaint.
The conviction score is computed once, at signal time, from the values listed above.
HONEST LIMITATIONS
This is trend-following momentum. In a range it will cross back and forth and hand gains back; no filter removes that, it only thins it.
The score is a hypothesis about signal quality, not a measured edge. This indicator does not keep score for you. If you want to know whether higher scores actually perform better on your symbol, run the matching strategy version in the Strategy Tester with realistic costs and read the result yourself.
The defaults trade often. On a live account, slippage and spread on frequent entries matter more than the chart suggests — cost everything before you believe anything.
Signals are evaluated at the close; real fills happen later and worse. Treat the chart as the ideal case.
It runs on any symbol and timeframe, but "runs" is not "has an edge" — whether it works on your market is yours to verify. Past behaviour is not the next signal.

What it shows
📊 Mid-centered stochastic histogram — instead of plotting Stochastic only in its standard form, the script centers the histogram around the 50 level so bullish and bearish pressure become easier to compare visually.
📈 %K line and ghost %D line — the main momentum line stays visually dominant, while %D acts as a softer confirmation layer.
🎯 Adaptive zones — rather than relying only on static 80/20 thresholds, the script calculates percentile-based extreme zones from recent Stochastic behavior. Traditional Stochastic readings above 80 are often considered overbought and readings below 20 oversold, but adaptive thresholds can better reflect changing market behavior.

The script is built around the idea that the Stochastic Oscillator is not just an overbought/oversold tool, but a momentum regime detector.
Classic Stochastic compares the latest close to the recent high-low range and is typically interpreted through:
%K and %D crossovers
movement around 80/20 zones
and changes in momentum before price fully reacts
Your script extends that by:
recentering the oscillator around 50
using histogram structure for directional emphasis

This helps reduce the classic problem of noisy Stochastic crossovers in sideways conditions. Stochastic crossovers are useful, but they generally become more meaningful when combined with trend or momentum context rather than taken in isolation.

A practical reading method is:
Use the histogram around the midline to read directional pressure.
Use adaptive zones to identify statistically stretched momentum.
Use %K / %D crossovers for trigger logic.
Use the squeeze state to identify contraction before expansion.
Treat follow-up triangles as continuation confirmation, not as fresh primary entries.

🔥 Extreme Release Signals — the RSI mistake most traders make
Most traders are taught RSI wrong. They sell the second it crosses 70 and buy the second it crosses 30 — and then they watch the market keep ripping in the same direction without them, or worse, against them. Here's the truth: RSI can stay in extreme zones far longer than you expect. Selling overbought into a strong trend is how accounts bleed.
This indicator doesn't fire when RSI enters an extreme zone. It fires when VWRSI comes back out of one. An orange flash and a labeled Up or Dn triangle mark the exact bar where momentum returns to normal range — meaning the extreme is resolving, not building. You're not fighting the trend. You're acting once the move has cooled and momentum has rotated back to your side.
How to use it:
Wait for the orange flash + triangle — don't act when VWRSI hits 70 or 30, act when it leaves
Down triangle (Dn) at the top — overbought is resolving, momentum cooling, look for short setups or trim longs

Raw VWRSI crosses happen all day. Most are noise. The trick is waiting for the VWRSI to cross its signal moving average — that's the moment when short-term momentum has shifted decisively against the smoothed average, not just twitched.
The fill color flips with the cross — green for bullish momentum, red for bearish. By waiting for this confirmed cross instead of acting on every wiggle, you skip the chop, dodge the fake-outs, and only enter when the regime has actually changed. It's slower, on purpose. That's the point.
How to use it:
Watch the cloud color — green means VWRSI is above its MA (bullish bias); red means below (bearish bias)
Enter on the flip — when the color changes, momentum has rotated. Trend traders take entries with the new direction.
Stay in until it flips back — exits trigger when the cloud color reverses, signaling the regime has changed again
Skip the in-between — when VWRSI is hugging the MA closely (thin cloud), the market is undecided. Wait for separation.

VWAP Cross Flow Engine is a precision scoring system for price-to-VWAP
crossovers. Instead of treating every VWAP cross as a binary signal,
this indicator measures the QUALITY of each crossover event in real
time using a weighted composite score derived from momentum, volume
expansion and optional sigma-band confluence. The engine is designed
for intraday scalpers and swing traders who rely on VWAP as a dynamic
equilibrium reference and need a structured way to separate high-
conviction continuation crosses from low-quality noise flips.
The script plots an anchored Volume-Weighted Average Price line with
optional volume-weighted standard-deviation bands, detects every
price/VWAP crossover event, scores each one on a 0–100 scale and
visualizes the result through compact X markers, directional bar
coloring, a retrospective quality dashboard and a dynamic bias zone
anchored on the strongest crosses.
🔸 UNIQUE EDGE
Most VWAP-based tools stop at plotting the line and marking raw
crossovers. VWAP Cross Flow Engine adds a multi-factor quality layer
on top of the crossover itself:

1. VWAP CALCULATION
Volume-weighted average of HLC3 (configurable) anchored to the
Session, Week or Month boundary. Cumulative price*volume and
cumulative volume series are reset at every anchor change.
2. SIGMA BANDS (optional)
Volume-weighted variance computed as E − E ² where X is the
source price weighted by volume. Square root produces the true
volume-weighted standard deviation. 1σ and 2σ envelopes are drawn
around the VWAP line.
3. CROSS DETECTION
Standard ta.crossover / ta.crossunder between close and VWAP.
4. QUALITY SCORING
• Momentum sub-score: |RSI(14) − 50|, scaled to 0–40 range
• Volume sub-score: volume / SMA(20), capped at 3x, scaled 0–30
• Confluence bonus: +5 if prior bar touched the opposing 2σ band
• Total live score (max 70 or 75) is rescaled to 0–100
5. COOLDOWN FILTER
A new cross is only plotted if BOTH conditions are met:
• At least N bars since the last plotted cross
• At least K × ATR price distance from the last plotted cross
6. FOLLOW-THROUGH TRACKING
Each cross is stored with its direction, price and ATR at the time
of the event. After N bars, the displacement (in the cross
direction) is measured. Success rate and average follow-through
in ATR units are maintained inside a rolling lookback window.
7. QUALITY ZONE
A rectangle zone (0.8 × ATR tall by default, 60 bars long) is
drawn at every strong cross (score ≥ 70). The zone acts as a
dynamic bias area anchored on high-conviction VWAP interactions.

• SWING BIAS — use Week or Month anchor on 4h and daily charts. Treat
strong crosses as potential regime-shift events. Monitor the
Success Rate metric to calibrate expectations for the current
market and instrument.
• MEAN-REVERSION — enable sigma bands and confluence bonus. Crosses
that form after a 2σ stretch tend to score higher and mark
statistically meaningful reversal attempts.
• FILTER CALIBRATION — raise Min Quality To Plot to 60 or 70 for
high-selectivity environments; lower to 40 for noisier instruments
where you want earlier confirmation.
The dashboard gives at-a-glance context: how many crosses have fired
this session, how many were strong, what the historical win rate
looks like in the current lookback window, the average ATR-normalized
follow-through, and whether price is currently above or below VWAP.
🔷 LIMITATIONS & TRANSPARENCY
• This is NOT a strategy and does not generate buy/sell orders.
• Score is a quality filter, not a directional prediction. A high-
score cross still carries market risk and can fail.

Murphy Timeframe Lens is a timeframe compression tool inspired by John Murphy's explanation of weekly and monthly bar charts in Chapter 3 . The indicator displays higher timeframe structure directly on your current chart, helping traders study markets from a longer-range perspective without switching timeframes.
As Murphy explains, compressing data into larger bars allows chartists to see the bigger picture. A 15-minute bar on a 1-minute chart contains 15 bars of price action. An hourly bar can represent 60 minutes of trading activity.
The indicator adapts to different trading styles: intraday scalpers can use 15m or 1H compression on 1-minute charts, swing traders can view daily structure on 4H charts, and position traders can see weekly or monthly compression on daily timeframes.

█ FEATURES
Multi-Timeframe Compression
The indicator offers seven timeframe options: 15m, 30m, 1H, 4H, Daily, Weekly and Monthly . Each fetches higher timeframe OHLC data and overlays it on your current chart.
The default 15m setting follows the two timeframes higher principle — when trading on 1-minute charts, viewing 15-minute structure provides directional context without excessive lag. This compression ratio balances noise reduction with real-time relevance.
For different base timeframes, select the appropriate HTF. 1-minute charts work well with 15m or 1H. 5-minute charts pair with 1H or 4H. Hourly charts benefit from Daily or Weekly compression.
Three Display Modes
The indicator offers three visualization options to match different analysis needs.
OHLC Bars — shows the full higher timeframe bar structure: open, high, low, and close levels with shaded range zones and clear O/C labels marking exact price levels.
Close Line — displays only the higher timeframe closing price as a stepped trend line, emphasizing directional bias without visual clutter.
HL Zones Only — plots just the high and low boundaries, creating range bands that show where the higher timeframe bar is trading.
Progressive Range Tracking
The indicator builds HTF high and low boundaries progressively as the timeframe bar develops. When a new 15-minute bar starts on a 1-minute chart, the high and low begin at current price and expand as subsequent 1-minute bars extend the range.
This prevents look-ahead bias — HTF boundaries reflect only information available at each moment, not the final bar values. Labels mark HTF open and close levels with exact prices for precise reference.
