Market Clock is a multi-timeframe trading clock designed to make market timing easier to see at a glance.
Most candle countdown tools answer a single question: How much time is left in the current candle?
Market Clock expands that idea into a compact timing dashboard. It simultaneously tracks the active chart candle, higher-timeframe candle development, and important market-session events so traders can understand not only how much time remains, but where they currently are within the market's timing structure.
MULTI-TIMEFRAME CANDLE CLOCKS
Market Clock monitors three timing layers simultaneously:
Chart Timeframe — automatically follows the active chart
Higher Timeframe 1 — configurable by the user
Higher Timeframe 2 — configurable by the user
Each active candle displays its remaining time alongside its percentage of completion.
This can be particularly useful for traders who use lower timeframes for execution while relying on higher timeframes for confirmation. Instead of switching charts simply to check when a higher-timeframe candle closes, Market Clock keeps those clocks visible from the current chart.
CANDLE PROGRESS
Time remaining tells only part of the story.
Market Clock also visualizes how far each candle has progressed through its lifespan using a segmented progress meter and percentage reading.
This provides immediate context for questions such as:
Is this higher-timeframe candle just beginning, or is it approaching confirmation?
A setup appearing during the first portion of a candle may carry very different implications from the same setup appearing moments before that candle closes.
As candles approach completion, the progress display changes state to make late-stage candles easier to recognize.
CLOSING WARNING
The final seconds of a candle can be particularly important when waiting for candle-close confirmation.
Market Clock includes a configurable Closing Warning Threshold. When an active candle enters this window, its timer changes state and the dashboard status changes to CLOSING.
This makes approaching closes visible without requiring the trader to continually watch the countdown.
MARKET EVENT COUNTDOWNS
Trading does not occur only according to candle boundaries. Important market-session transitions have their own clocks.
Market Clock currently tracks:

These events appear in a dedicated Next Events section and automatically roll forward to the next trading day.
When an event enters the configurable Event Soon Threshold, Market Clock highlights the approaching event and changes its overall status to EVENT SOON.
DESIGNED FOR MULTI-TIMEFRAME TRADERS
Market Clock can complement many trading styles, but it was designed especially with multi-timeframe analysis in mind.
A trader might, for example, execute from a 5-minute chart while simultaneously monitoring the completion of the 1-hour and 4-hour candles. The lower timeframe provides execution detail while Market Clock keeps the larger timing structure visible.

Price receives most of a trader's attention, but time is the other axis of every chart.
A candle's meaning develops not only from where price trades, but from how much time remains before that information becomes finalized.
Market Clock was built around that idea.

World Sessions & Countdown [AFD]
Which session is actually running right now, and how many bars are left in it?
Every session tool on the shelf draws the same coloured stripes. Almost all of them are built on a fixed UTC offset, which means twice a year they are quietly an hour wrong and nothing on the chart says so. The highest-profile clock script in the niche states plainly in its own description that it requires manual UTC offset adjustment at each changeover.
World Sessions is anchored to IANA time zone names instead - Europe/London, America/New_York, Asia/Tokyo, Australia/Sydney. Each window follows its own city's daylight-saving policy, on its own, with nothing for you to adjust. The script draws a rectangle around each session's own bars rather than a full-height stripe, a separate rectangle wherever sessions overlap, and a dashboard that tells you what time it is in all four cities and how much of the
current session is left.
Why the time zone thing matters
14 January - London GMT, New York EST - overlap 15:00-17:00 UTC, two hours.
25 March - London BST, New York EDT - overlap 14:00-17:00 UTC, three hours.
15 July - London BST, New York EDT - overlap 14:00-16:00 UTC, two hours.
28 October - London GMT, New York EDT - overlap 14:00-17:00 UTC, three hours.
A fixed-offset script prints one identical row for all four. The late-October row is the one that bites: Europe has left summer time and the United States has not, so the two cities are five hours apart instead of the usual four, and every band built on a captured offset is an hour wrong for that week.
This is a statement about how the script resolves time. It says nothing about volatility, liquidity, or what you should do with any of it.
At a glance
Session boxes - one rectangle per session RUN, spanning that run's own high and low, not a full-height stripe.
Overlap box - a separate rectangle over the bars two or more sessions share, carrying its own composite name.
IANA time zones - each session follows its own city's daylight-saving policy, with no UTC offset to maintain.
Bars left in session - not minutes, BARS, on your current timeframe.
Dashboard - each session's hours, its city's live clock, an open/closed dot, a progress bar, and the countdown to its next boundary.
Five sessions - Sydney, Tokyo, London, New York, and one Custom slot of your own.
New York hours - regular, extended-equities, or CME Globex, chosen automatically from the symbol or forced by hand.
Eight alerts - four session opens, all sessions closed, overlap start, N seconds to bar close, and last bar of session.
Appearance - fill, four gradient depths in two directions, border transparency, width and style, or outline-only.
One box per run, not one box per chart
A session's rectangle is bounded by that session's run, identified by the instant that run closes, and not by a stretch of bars on which the session happened to be live. The distinction is not academic. On a regular-hours US chart every bar is inside New York's 09:30-16:00 window, so a liveness-based tool never sees New York stop being live: it opens one rectangle on the first
bar of history and never closes it, washing the entire chart in one color. This product drew exactly that defect once, and the lifecycle is now keyed on the run instead. You get one box per day, with clean gaps between them.
A box is a session's EXTENT, not a level. It has a top and a bottom and that is where the resemblance to a zone tool stops - no line is drawn at either edge, no edge is labelled or alerted with a price, and nothing downstream reads one.
The overlap box
Two or more enabled sessions running at once get their own rectangle over the shared bars, spanning the high and low of those bars only, and it carries the name of the sessions that actually made it - TOKYO + LONDON, LONDON + NEW YORK.
One color at any depth, deliberately: Sydney, Tokyo and London genuinely stack three deep, and a per-pair colour scheme has no honest answer for a three-way overlap.
Overlap only is the shipped default, so out of the box the chart draws the overlap rectangle and nothing else. On a chart with no overlap running that means no rectangles at all - the intended state, not a fault. Set Overlap to Highlight overlap to see every session box alongside it, or Off for session boxes with no overlap rectangle.
Every session is named exactly once. Where the overlap box is drawn it carries the joint name, so a session's own name centres on the bars it held ALONE. A session that is never alone shows no separate name, because it has already been named.
The dashboard
Per session - a colour chip, the name, an open/closed dot, that session's own hours, the current wall clock in its city (marked +1 or -1 when the city is on another date), a progress bar, and OPENS IN or CLOSES IN to its next boundary. The open session's row is tinted in its own color and its name set bold.
Two kinds of time, on purpose - LOCAL, the dot, PROGRESS and NEXT are real-world clock readings and stay current on a weekend, on a scrolled-back chart, and in Bar Replay. BAR CLOSE is a property of the bar in front of you and shows an em dash on anything but a genuinely live bar, because a countdown to the close of a bar that has already closed cannot mean what it says.
BARS LEFT keeps counting where BAR CLOSE cannot, because one is a bar-structure count and the other is a clock reading. It names the session it is following. Both step green, then amber, then red as they run out.
The progress column always says something - the bar while a session runs, Not in session while it is closed, and No bars here when that session's window has no bars at all on the symbol you are looking at. Tokyo on a US regular-hours chart is the common case.
Position, background, grid lines, the outer frame and its width, one text size for the whole panel, and progress-bar width are all settings. The frame's Countdown mode makes it the same green-amber-red traffic light BARS LEFT carries.
Weekdays are digits, and the rule has a trap in it
Weekdays live in a field of their own, because input.session() renders two clock fields and no weekday picker. 1 is Sunday through 7 is Saturday, so the shipped '23456' is Monday to Friday.
They are not optional. A session string without them applies to EVERY day of the week - invisible on a stock chart, but on a 24/7 symbol it draws a London box straight through Saturday.
For a session that runs past midnight, the digits name the day it ENDS. PulseWire's own documented example is 1700-1700:23456, in which the Monday session starts Sunday at 17:00 and ends Monday at 17:00. So the CME Globex window here is 1800-1700 with the ordinary 23456 - Sunday evening through Friday afternoon, five sessions, the real Globex week. The intuitive-looking 12345 invents a Saturday-evening session that never trades and loses Thursday evening entirely.

Create these from PulseWire's alert dialog. How often an alert re-fires while
its condition holds is set in that dialog, not in the script.
How to use it
Add it to an INTRADAY time-based chart. Boxes and session names need an intraday timeframe; the dashboard works on any timeframe, because its countdowns read the wall clock.
Leave Overlap on Overlap only for the overlap rectangle alone, or switch to Highlight overlap to see every session.
Turn off the sessions you do not follow. Set hours and weekday digits to match what you actually trade.
On a futures contract, check the New York hours group is on extended hours if the Globex window is the one you want boxed. Auto by symbol handles this for you on a real futures contract.
Everything else - fill, gradient depth and direction, border style, boxes kept, panel appearance - is a setting to configure once to taste.
What it deliberately does not do
It draws no zone and publishes no session high or low as a level. It offers no fixed UTC offset option, because a dropdown reading UTC-5 would let you silently break the one thing the product is for. It gives no arrows, no signals, and nothing about what price will do during any session. Educational chart context, not financial advice.
Data, timeframes and repainting
The script uses current chart data only. There are no request.security() calls, no higher-timeframe imports, and no lookahead of any kind.
A running session's box updates as new highs and lows print on the forming bar, and its right edge advances with the chart; it is final once that session's run has ended. Confirm the behaviour with the bar-replay tool on your own chart and timeframe before relying on it.
The dashboard's clock columns advance per tick. Pine provides no timer, so on a closed market - where no tick arrives - they hold at the last moment the script executed rather than ticking on by themselves. Scrolling, zooming, or changing any setting re-executes the script and brings them current. This is platform behaviour, not a setting.
Boxes and session names are intraday-only. On a daily or higher chart a session window is shorter than one bar, so they are not drawn.
Drawing history is bounded by Pine's limits. The source declares budgets of 500 boxes and 500 labels, and Session boxes kept is trimmed automatically to stay inside the box ceiling - a faded session costs one box per gradient step plus its outline.
Standard time-based candles. The session arithmetic reads chart time.
A running alert keeps the inputs, symbol and timeframe it was created with - recreate an alert after changing any of them.
Originality and credit
Other session tools draw stripes on a fixed offset. This one bounds each session run by its own high and low, names the overlap for the sessions that actually made it, resolves every window through an IANA time zone so it holds across daylight saving, and reports the one number the shelf does not carry - how many bars are left in the session you are in, on the timeframe you are on. WHAT IT DRAWS
• Symbol and timeframe table: a bottom-right table showing the ticker, the chart timeframe and the current date (weekday plus day-month). Works on every timeframe from seconds up to weekly.
• Weekday labels: forex-session weekday text along the bottom of the chart, drawn on 5m to 4h charts only. Each label is projected forward onto the next session, so the text shows the upcoming day.
• On-chart candle countdown: a floating label to the right of the last bar counting down to the current bar's close, with per-timeframe control over how far right it sits.
• Clock and Countdown Panel: a middle-right table showing any of three rows: the candle countdown, the live London clock, and the current candle's open and close time. The panel sizes itself to the visible rows and stays vertically centred.
HOW IT WORKS
• The countdown reads the time remaining to the current bar's close and updates live. It shows on daily and below (not on weekly or monthly), and a Visibility timeframe input restricts it further if you want it only on the lower timeframes.
• The Clock and Countdown Panel's live clock reads real time, while the candle-time row reads the bar you are on. In Bar Replay the candle time tracks the scrubbed-to bar while the live clock keeps real time. Each of the three rows toggles independently and there is no master toggle: turn all three off to hide the panel.
• The weekday labels draw on 5m to 4h charts only. Below 5m the fixed forward projection (a bar count) throws them far off-screen, and on seconds charts the offset maths mis-places them, so both are gated out. A marker is drawn at each session's open bar but pushed forward so it renders over the next session, which is why Monday's marker reads "Tue", Tuesday's reads "Wed", and so on. Friday reads "Mon", projecting across the closed weekend so Monday's session still gets a label. The Sunday-evening open is not traded, so it is intentionally not labelled.
• Opacity inputs read as true opacity: 0 is invisible and 100 is solid.
EXTENDED TRADING HOURS WHERE THE SYMBOL OFFERS THE CHOICE
The weekday labels need the overnight session-open bar to exist in the data. On any symbol that offers a Regular / Extended hours choice (for example DE40, and some FX feeds), set the chart's Session to "Extended trading hours" (Chart Settings, Symbol, Session, Extended trading hours). On Regular Hours the session-open bar is trimmed out of the series, so the weekday labels simply do not appear. Only the weekday labels depend on this: the countdown, the live clock, the candle time and the symbol/timeframe table read the current bar or real time and work either way. Symbols that trade one continuous session (for example US500, USTEC, XTIUSD) have no such option and are unaffected.
WHAT IT RUNS ON
It runs on any instrument. Only the weekday-label placement is instrument-dependent, so on untested symbols confirm the day labels land where you want them. Tested on ICMarkets data across forex pairs, DE40, XAUUSD, USTEC, US500, XTIUSD and US30.
HOW TO USE
Add it to any chart. Use the symbol/timeframe table and the live clock as an at-a-glance header, and the countdown to see how long the current bar has left. On a 5m to 4h chart, turn on the weekday labels to mark each upcoming session along the bottom (enable Extended Trading Hours first if the symbol offers the choice). Open the Clock and Countdown Panel's candle-time row when working in Bar Replay to read the open and close of the bar you are scrubbed to.

According to ICT (Inner Circle Trader) and his SMC framework, a macro is a small program or set of instructions that runs within an algorithm, which influences price movements in the market. These macros operate at specific times and can be related to price movements from one level to another or certain market behaviours during specific time intervals. They help traders anticipate market movements and potential setups during specific times of the day.
To trade these effectively, it is important to understand the time of day when certain macros run, and understand the concept of market liquidity. The theory behind this - is that the market will either seek buy side or sell side liquidity, or seek to rebalance price at a point of interest in between the open and close of the macro. Traders who follow this theory can use that information to anticipate how price might behave.
This script allows traders to visualize the time when a macro will likely occur in the market. As per ICT, most macros run at every hour from x:50 till x:10. The script draws boxes and lines representing a period of time when a macro runs. Additionally, a label is placed next to the line indicating Macro Open (MO). The script includes alerts that can notify traders when a macro starts.

Apart from displaying the macros, the script visualizes another ICT concept - Killzones. The killzone is a time period when there is an increased market participation from major institutions and big traders who are able to influence price movement. According to ICT this is a good time to participate in the market, as the price will move much quicker than outside of killzone times, allowing for more trading opportunities. The macros that run during killzone may have more weight and importance to macros running outside of a killzone.
How to spot a killzone
The script draws small dots either at the top or the bottom of the screen during the time the killzone is in play. There are three major killzones, pertaining to futures market which have been pre-defined in the script, but each user can modify the times to reflect their own understanding and specific instrument they are trading. The script can display small circle next to the clock which symbolizes that we are in a killzone period.

The Clock
When the market is open the script displays a digital clock which can also show when a specific macro is running by displaying macro time. The clock is also able to display when we are in a period of active killzone, which is symbolized by small circle next to the clock.
The script is intended to run on 1m timeframe, but it can also run up to 15m and on sub 1m charts. On higher timeframes it's not practical to display macro information.
SETTINGS:
- KZ Killzones - enable display of killzones
- Timezone - set by default to New York timezone
- Lookback - how many past bars are used for computation
- London KZ, NY AM KZ, NY PM KZ - here the user can define exact times for a killzone
- KZ Markers - the script displays small dot (marker) to represent killzone period

Mathematical Rationale: The bar_index (current candle number) is divided by 20 to create a trigger that changes the output every 20 bars. The modulo operator (% 10) ensures the resulting index loops sequentially from 0 to 9, which maps perfectly to the 10 proverb elements stored in the array.

1. The Main Clock Hands (Current Chart Symbol)
The clock hands—hour, minute, and second—are dedicated to the symbol on your current active chart .
Minute Hand: Displays the base currency of the current symbol (e.g., USDT, USD) at its tip.
Hour Hand: Displays the percentage of the winning volume side (buy vs. sell) at its tip.
Color Gauge: The color of the text characters at the tip of both the hour and minute hands acts as your primary volume gauge for the current symbol.
If buy volume is dominant , the text will be green .
If sell volume is dominant , the text will be red .
Tooltip: Hovering your mouse over the text at the tip of the hour or minute or other spherical elements hand will reveal a detailed tooltip with the precise Buy Volume, Sell Volume, Total Volume, Buy %, and Sell % for the current chart's symbol.
2. The Volume Scanner: Bulls & Bears (Symbols Inside the Clock) 🐂🐻
The circular symbols scattered inside the clock face are your multi-symbol volume scanner. They represent the assets you've selected in the indicator's settings.
Green Circles (Bulls - Upper Half): These represent symbols from your list where the total buy volume is greater than the total sell volume over the defined "Lookback" period. They are considered to be under bullish accumulation. The size of the circle and its text grows larger as the buy percentage becomes more dominant. The percentage shown within the circle represents the buy volume's share of the total volume, calculated over the 'Lookback (Bars)' you've set.
Red Circles (Bears - Lower Half): These represent symbols where the total sell volume is greater than the total buy volume. They are considered to be under bearish distribution or selling pressure. The size of the circle indicates the dominance of the sell-side volume. The percentage shown within the circle represents the sell volume's share of the total volume, calculated over the 'Lookback (Bars)' you've set.
3. The Bullish Watchlist (Symbols Above the Clock) ⭐
The symbols arranged neatly along the top edge of the clock are the "best of the bulls." They are symbols that are not only bullish but have also passed an additional, powerful strength filter.
What it Means: A symbol appears here when it shows signs of sustained, high-volume buying interest . It's a way to filter out noise and focus on assets with potentially significant accumulation phases.
The Filter Logic: For a bullish symbol (where total buy volume > total sell volume) to be promoted to the watchlist, its trading volume must meet specific criteria based on this formula:
ta.barssince(not(volume > ta.sma(volume, X))) >= Y
In plain English, this means: The indicator checks how many consecutive bars the `volume` has been greater than its `X`-bar Simple Moving Average (`ta.sma(volume, X)`). If this count is greater than or equal to `Y` bars, the condition is met.
(You can configure `X` (Volume MA Length) and `Y` (Consecutive Days Above MA) in the settings.)
Why it's Useful: This filter is powerful because it looks for consistency . A single spike in volume can be an anomaly. However, when an asset's volume remains consistently above its recent average for several consecutive days, it strongly suggests that larger players or a significant portion of the market are actively accumulating the asset. This sustained interest can often precede a significant upward price trend.

Template: Choose from a wide variety of professionally designed color themes.
Use Template: A simple checkbox to switch between using a pre-designed theme and creating your own.
`Checked`: You can select a theme from the dropdown menu, which offers 20 unique templates like "Cyberpunk Neon" or "Forest Green". All custom color settings below will be disabled (grayed out and unclickable).
`Unchecked`: The template dropdown is disabled, and you gain full control over every color element in the sections below.

It displays a clock-like figure with the Bitcoin price and average lines as spirals, as well as the 12, 3, 6, and 9 hour marks as key points in the cycle.
🔶 USAGE
Giovanni Santostasi, Ph.D., is the creator and discoverer of the Bitcoin Power Law Theory. He is passionate about Bitcoin and has 12 years of experience analyzing it and creating price models.
As we can see in the above chart, the tool is super intuitive. It displays a clock-like figure with the current Bitcoin price at 10:20 on a 12-hour scale.
This tool only works on the 1D INDEX:BTCUSD chart. The ticker and timeframe must be exact to ensure proper functionality.
According to the Bitcoin Power Law Theory, the key cycle points are marked at the extremes of the clock: 12, 3, 6, and 9 hours. According to the theory, the current Bitcoin prices are in a frenzied bull market on their way to the top of the cycle.
