MACD Trend Phase MTF by [Itto Ryu]# MACD Trend Phase MTF by — User Manual (Publication Version)
---
## 1 · Purpose
This indicator answers one question: **"Where are we in the trend lifecycle?"** — not merely "has MACD crossed yet?"
A single MACD can only describe momentum state; it cannot describe trend *phase*, because phase emerges from the relationship between multiple timeframes. This script reads a PPO-normalized MACD across three time layers — a slow timeframe sets the regime, a mid timeframe defines the phase, and the chart timeframe tracks entry timing — then outputs an instantly readable phase name, a multi-timeframe dashboard, and a weighted consensus verdict (MAJOR).
Because everything is normalized to percentages, it works on any market and any symbol: index futures, stocks, crypto, or forex.
## 2 · Methodology
**Engine — PPO (Percentage Price Oscillator):**
```
PPO = (EMA(close,12) − EMA(close,26)) / EMA(close,26) × 100
Signal = EMA(PPO, 9)
Hist = PPO − Signal
```
PPO is used instead of raw MACD so thresholds stay constant across markets and across years (raw MACD is denominated in price units and cannot be compared across symbols).
**Phase state machine (computed on the Phase TF, default 4H):** each timeframe uses only three features:
1. **Regime** — PPO above/below zero
2. **Impulse** — PPO above/below its signal line
3. **Leg-peak memory** — is the latest impulse leg's PPO peak lower than the previous leg's peak? (structural momentum divergence)
Combined with the slow-TF regime, this yields 9 phases:
| Phase | Condition | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| ESTABLISHED BULL | Slow bull + mid bull + impulse up | Fully aligned uptrend |
| BULL PULLBACK | Mid bull + impulse down + peaks not declining | Correction inside an uptrend — a classic continuation setup |
| WEAKENING BULL | Mid bull + impulse down + lower peaks | Late-stage uptrend — momentum thinning |
| EMERGING BULL | Mid bull but slow TF not yet bull | New trend, not yet confirmed |
| TRANSITION / CHOP | \|PPO\| < chop threshold | No phase — directionless market |
| (4 BEAR phases = mirror) | | BEAR RALLY = the mirror continuation setup |
**Anti-flicker:** the committed phase changes only after the new raw phase persists for N chart bars (default 2) — hysteresis prevents flickering.
**Timing signal:** when the phase is a pullback phase and the chart-TF histogram inflects back in the trend direction (`hist > hist ` after falling, or the mirror), a ▲/▼ triangle prints on the price chart. The idea: the higher timeframe defines *where* momentum entries make conceptual sense; the chart timeframe shows *when* the counter-move is fading.
**MAJOR consensus:** each grid TF scores its phase (Established ±1.0, Pullback ±0.75, Emerging ±0.5, Weakening ±0.25, Chop 0), weighted by timeframe (default 30m×1, 1H×1.5, 4H×2, D×3) → summed into a net % → |net| ≥ 20% = LONG/SHORT lean, ≥ 50% = strong. This is a structured way of reading multi-timeframe agreement at a glance — higher timeframes get louder votes.
## 3 · Defaults (Inputs)
| Input | Default | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| Regime TF | D | Slowest layer; only its zero-line side is used |
| Phase TF | 240 (4H) | Phase-defining layer — roughly 4–6× the chart TF works well |
| Fast / Slow / Signal | 12 / 26 / 9 | Standard values, identical on every TF — deliberately untuned |
| Chop threshold | 0.10% | \|PPO\| below this = directionless market |
| Phase confirm bars | 2 | Hysteresis against phase flicker |
| Grid TFs | 30m / 1H / 4H / D | Dashboard rows |
| Weights | 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 3 | Higher timeframes get louder votes |
| Major bias / Strong | 20% / 50% | Verdict thresholds |
| Dashboard size | Middle | Tiny / Middle / Large |
All defaults are starting points, not optimized values — adjust them to your market and timeframe structure.
## 4 · Visual Elements
| Element | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Histogram columns (pane) | Chart-TF PPO − Signal; solid color = accelerating, faded = fading |
| Blue / orange lines (pane) | Chart-TF PPO / Signal |
| Pane background color | Current phase (green = bull family, red = bear family, orange = weakening, gray = chop) |
| ▲ / ▼ on the price chart | Timing markers — phase-gated momentum inflections |
| TF grid table | Phase per timeframe + ● dot in the L / S / H column |
| MAJOR row | Weighted consensus verdict + net % |
| Timing row | Timing status ("wait" / "TIMING NOW") |
| ⚠ row | Warns when chart TF ≥ Phase TF (view a lower TF, e.g. 1H) |
## 5 · Who This Is For / NOT For
**For:** traders studying trend-pullback structure who execute manually and use indicators as context filters; anyone who wants a one-glance answer to "is this market trending, correcting, weakening, or going nowhere?"
**NOT for:** scalpers far below the phase TF (higher-TF data updates too slowly to matter); anyone expecting a fully automatic buy/sell system (this is decision support, not a bot); extended sideways markets (it will mostly show CHOP — which is the correct reading: no trend phase exists).
## 6 · How to Use (Study Playbook)
1. Open the chart one or more steps **below the Phase TF** (e.g. 1H chart with a 4H phase TF).
2. Use the background color and phase label as context: trend-following ideas align with ESTABLISHED phases, continuation setups form during PULLBACK / RALLY phases, and WEAKENING or CHOP suggest standing aside.
3. Check the **MAJOR** row — study how often lower and higher timeframes agree before strong moves, and how disagreement resolves.
4. The ▲/▼ triangles mark where a counter-trend swing's momentum fades *while the higher timeframe still points with the trend* — the classic pullback-entry concept. Observe how these behave on your market before acting on any of them.
5. Momentum-inflection signals are, by nature, short-horizon events — they describe the next swing, not the next month. Re-evaluate whenever the phase changes.
6. Alerts: alert dialog → Condition = "MACD Phase" → choose "Phase changed", "Major bias changed", "Long timing" or "Short timing" → recommended trigger **Once per bar close**.
7. WEAKENING is best studied as a position-management state (momentum thinning), not a reversal signal.
## 7 · Common Mistakes
- ❌ Treating ESTABLISHED phases as entry signals — by the time everything is aligned, much of the move has often happened; the pullback phases are where continuation logic actually applies.
- ❌ Taking every triangle in both directions on every market — different markets have different structural drifts; study each side's behavior on your instrument first.
- ❌ Expecting momentum-inflection signals to define long swings — their information decays quickly.
- ❌ Viewing on a chart TF larger than the Phase TF (the ⚠ row will warn you).
- ❌ Reading MAJOR % as a probability — it is a weighted vote score (a structured prior), not a measured probability.
- ❌ Changing several inputs at once — you lose track of what actually changed the behavior.
## 8 · For Educational Purposes Only
This indicator is published **for educational purposes only**. It is a tool for studying how momentum, trend phase, and multi-timeframe structure interact — it is **not** a trading system, does not generate financial advice, and makes **no claim of profitability**. No performance figures are stated or implied; past behavior of any signal, on any market, does not guarantee future results. Before risking real capital on any concept illustrated here, do your own testing on your own market, timeframe, and cost structure, and consult a licensed financial professional where appropriate. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions.
## 9 · Disclosure Block
- **Pine version:** v6
- **Repaint:** NO on closed bars — every HTF value uses only fully closed bars (`security(expr , lookahead_on)` idiom); historical bars are never redrawn. Note: current-bar table values and signals update until the bar closes — use alerts set to "Once per bar close".
- **Chart type:** standard candles only (no Heikin Ashi / Renko / Range — synthetic prices distort PPO).
- **Originality:** fully original code — the phase state machine, leg-peak memory, and weighted MTF consensus were written from scratch, not adapted from any open-source script.
- **This indicator is create for educational purposes only — not investment advice or recommendation or professional advice, you are on your own risk **

Future Swing [BigBeluga]🔵 OVERVIEW
Future Swing is a swing-based projection tool that estimates the potential size and price target of the next swing move using historical swing behavior.
Instead of predicting direction randomly, it analyzes completed swing legs, measures their percentage moves, and projects a statistically derived swing target into the future.
The indicator combines swing structure, high/low zones, volume context, and a real-time dashboard to help traders anticipate where price may travel next.
🔵 CONCEPTS
Swing Detection — Swing highs and lows are identified using a configurable lookback length.
Swing Percentage Tracking — Each completed swing leg is converted into a percentage move and stored.
Statistical Projection — Future swing size is estimated using Average, Median, or Mode of past swing percentages.
Directional Awareness — Projections adapt automatically based on current swing direction.
🔵 FEATURES
Historical Swing Sampling —
• Uses a user-defined number of completed swings.
• More samples = smoother projection, fewer samples = faster adaptation.
Future Swing Projection —
• Dashed line projects the estimated swing target forward in time.
• Projection distance is visual-only and does not affect calculations.
High/Low Swing Zones —
• Upper and lower swing zones expand using ATR distance.
• Zones visualize potential reaction and rejection areas.
Volume Context per Swing —
• Buy and sell volume are accumulated during each swing leg.
• Delta and total volume are displayed in the dashboard.
Smart Dashboard —
• Displays each stored swing percentage.
• Shows calculated swing projection value.
Flexible Projection Method —
• Average: smooth and balanced.
• Median: filters out extreme outliers.
• Mode: focuses on the most common swing size.
Extendable Zones —
• Swing zones can optionally extend forward indefinitely.
🔵 HOW TO USE
Anticipate Swing Targets — Use the projected swing line as a probabilistic price objective.
Combine with Structure — Align projections with support, resistance, or liquidity zones.
Filter by Volume — Confirm swing quality using delta and total volume metrics.
Adjust Sensitivity — Tune swing length and historical sample size to match timeframe and volatility.
Context, Not Certainty — Use projections as guidance, not fixed take-profit levels.
🔵 CONCLUSION
Future Swing transforms past swing behavior into a forward-looking projection model.
By combining swing structure, statistical aggregation, ATR zones, and volume analysis, it offers traders a structured way to estimate where the next meaningful price move may reach — without relying on fixed targets or subjective assumptions. Indicator

McCrayTrendTraders often rely on price breaking above or below the 50-day moving average (50D-MA) as a buy/sell signal. However, this approach frequently results in false breakouts, especially during low-volatility periods when price compression precedes major moves. To address this issue, we use an 8-day exponential moving average (8D-EMA) to represent price and focus on the crossovers between the 8D-EMA and the 48D-EMA as entry/exit signals. This method reduces noise in low-volatility conditions, enables earlier trend entries, and helps traders stay in trends longer.
The indicator incorporates a 111-day EMA (111D-EMA) to define market bias:
• Above the 111D-EMA: Bias is long, favoring buying and selling into cash.
• Below the 111D-EMA: Bias is short, favoring selling and buying into cash.
An exception to this rule occurs when a bullish cross happens within 40% of the 200-week moving average (200W-MA), as these conditions historically signal optimal times to acquire BTC.
Signals:
Buy signals:
• A bullish cross while price is above the 111D-EMA.
• A bullish cross near the 200W-MA threshold (optional setting).
Sell signals:
• A bearish cross while price is below the 111D-EMA.
Exit signals:
• Both EMAs turn red (for long trades) or green (for short trades).
• The shading between the 111D-EMA and 200W-MA turns red (for longs) or green (for shorts), if enabled.
Reversal opportunities:
• A buy or sell label during an exit signal may indicate a reversal point, allowing traders to take profit and reopen positions in the opposite direction.
The methodology behind this indicator has generated 132% alpha since October 6, 2015. Special thanks to Anurag Parashar for refining the stylistic elements of the indicator. Indicator

Swing Percentile Lines [QuantVue]The Swing High/Low Percentile Indicator is designed to help traders identify key price levels based on the most recent swing high and low. By anchoring to the most recent swing high and swing low, the indicator automatically generates percentile lines ( 25%, 50%, 75%) that act as dynamic support and resistance levels.
What Does the Indicator Do?
The Swing High/Low Percentile Indicator works by identifying the most recent significant price swings, whether it's a swing high or swing low. It then calculates the range between these points and divides the distance into percentage-based levels. These levels are plotted on the chart as clear, easy-to-read lines at 25%, 50%, and 75% of the range between the swing high and low.
These percentile lines serve as dynamic price zones where traders can anticipate potential reactions, whether the market is trending or consolidating.
How Can Traders Use the Indicator?
Support and Resistance: The percentile lines act as evolving support and resistance zones. Traders can anticipate price bounces or breaks at these levels, providing opportunities for trend-following or reversal trades.
Trend Identification: The indicator helps traders determine the strength of a trend. In a strong uptrend, price will likely stay above the 50% or 75% lines, while in a downtrend, it may remain below the 50% or 25% lines. This gives traders an edge in recognizing the overall market direction.
Entry and Exit Points: Traders can use the percentile lines to time their entries and exits. For example, entering a trade on a pullback to the 25% or 50% line offers a favorable risk-to-reward ratio. Similarly, the percentile lines serve as natural profit targets, allowing traders to plan exits as the price approaches the 50% or 75% levels.
Risk Management: The clear delineation of price levels makes it easy for traders to set stop-loss orders. For example, if price falls below the 25% line in an uptrend, it may signal weakness, prompting an exit or reduced position size.
Breakout and Breakdown Scenarios: When price breaks above a recent swing high or below a swing low, the percentile lines provide traders with pullback entry opportunities or key levels to watch for continuation of the move. Indicator

Indicator

Swing based support and resistanceThis indicator provided here is for identifying swing-based support and resistance levels. It uses two swing lengths, which can be adjusted by the user, to identify swings in the price data. For each swing length, the script calculates the support level as the low of the swing if the trend is up, or the high of the swing if the trend is down. It then plots the support and resistance levels on the chart, along with buy and sell signals.
The buy and sell signals are generated by comparing the current closing price to the support and resistance levels. If the closing price is above the support level, the script plots a buy signal. If the closing price is below the level, the script plots a sell signal.
To use the script, you would first need to add it to your trading platform. Once it is added, you can configure the swing lengths and other parameters to suit your trading style. You can then apply the script to a chart and begin using the support and resistance levels and buy and sell signals to make trading decisions.
Points to be noted while using the indicator:
# The script is designed to be used on a daily chart. However, you can also use it on other timeframes, such as weekly or monthly charts.
# The swing lengths that you choose will depend on your trading style. If you are a swing trader, you may want to use longer swing lengths. If you are a day trader, you may want to use shorter swing lengths.
# Remember, the support and resistance levels generated by the script are not exact price points. They are rather zones where demand and supply can change. Therefore, you should always use other technical analysis tools and indicators to confirm your trading decisions.
# Overall, the script is a useful tool for identifying swing-based support and resistance levels. It can be used by traders of all experience levels to generate trading ideas and improve their trading performance.
To use the swing-based support and resistance indicator with respect to price, you can follow these steps:
=> Identify the support and resistance levels that have been generated by the indicator.
=> Look for price action that is taking place near these levels.
=> If the price is above the level, look for bullish reversals or continuations.
=> If the price is below the level, look for bearish reversals or continuations.
For Example,
=> Bullish reversal: The price is above the level and forms a bullish candlestick pattern, such as a bullish hammer or engulfing pattern.
=> Bullish continuation: The price is above the level and bounces off of the level.
=> Bearish reversal: The price is below the level and forms a bearish candlestick pattern, such as a bearish hammer or engulfing pattern.
=> Bearish continuation: The price is below the level and rejects the level.
$$ You can also use the indicator to identify potential trading entry and exit points. For example, you could enter a long trade when the price breaks above a resistance level and exit the trade when the price retraces to the resistance level. Or, you could enter a short trade when the price breaks below a support level and exit the trade when the price rallies to the support level.
This swing-based support and resistance indicator is just one tool that you can use to trade. You should always use other technical analysis tools and indicators, such as price action and trend analysis, to confirm your trading decisions.
Additionally:
=> Be aware of the overall trend direction. If the trend is up, you should be looking for bullish reversals or continuations. If the trend is down, you should be looking for bearish reversals or continuations.
=> Use a stop loss order to limit your risk on each trade.
=> Consider using a position sizing strategy to manage your risk.
=> Do your own research and backtest any trading strategy before using it in a live trading environment.

[blackcat] L1 Whale Jumping out of the OceanLevel: 1
Background
One of the biggest differences between cryptocurrency and traditional financial markets is that cryptocurrency is based on blockchain technology. Individual investors can discover the direction of the flow of large funds through on-chain transfers. These large funds are often referred to as Whale. Whale can have a significant impact on the price movements of cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin . Therefore, how to monitor Whale trends is of great significance both in terms of fundamentals and technical aspects.
We often see whales suddenly jump out of the ocean and then set off huge waves. What we need to do is to surf the wave according to the trend after the whale jumps out of the sea. This is really an exciting sport!
Function
By modeling the behavior of Whale and individuals (Surfers), L1 Whale Jumping out of the Ocean can not only simply describe the behavior trends of Whale and individuals, but also describe the shape of waves generated by the whale jump. Individual traders need to follow the wave trend to take profit.
NOTE: white line and yellow candles represent whale appears but it CANNOT indicate the direction as PUMP or DUMP. This indicator is one of the whale series. It is featured by vividness. A technical indicator is drawn as ocean (momentum in blue and aqua), whale (whale PUMP/DUMP in white, yellow, red, fuchsia and green), huge wave (mid-term trend or swing trend in aqua and blue). However, it does not accurately generate buying and selling points.
Key Signal
var01 --> huge wave caused by whale jump. it is used to confirm whale jump and describe the trend of wave for surfers.
var02 --> whale move signal
var12 --> whale move signal
var28 --> high confidence level of huge whale move
dynabot --> deep ocean (dynamic bottom)
Pros and Cons
Pros:
1. Detect Whale pump and dump and the strength of huge wave.
2. Vividly compare the market movement to a huge wave caused by a whale jumping out of the sea.
3. When it resonante with buy or sell signal from other independent indicators, it has higher confidence level.
Cons:
1. No exact long and short entries.
2. It is sensitive and may have noise inside and generate fake entry signal.
Remarks
Please do not think that this is just a technical indicator, this is a documentary about whales.
