Model FollowerThis indicator maps price structure using confirmed candle closes rather than wicks — a new high or low only registers once price actually closes beyond the prior range, filtering out spikes that don't follow through. Each new range is anchored to the true swing point: the last opposing candle (or any wick that pierced past it) before the break, giving a clean staircase view of how structure is actually developing.
From that structure, it plots two live target references:
Local Target (orange) — tracks the current extreme of whichever direction price is presently trending, on your chart's own timeframe. Pushing higher, it follows the developing high; the moment structure turns lower, it immediately switches to the developing low. This updates in real time and reflects what's happening on your timeframe right now — including during a countertrend pullback inside a larger trend.
HTF Target (blue) — the same structure logic, calculated independently on a higher timeframe pulled automatically based on your current chart's timeframe. This gives a read on where price is headed on a broader scale without needing to manually flip charts.
How to use it: when the local and HTF targets are pointing the same direction, the immediate move has higher-timeframe backing. When they diverge — say, local structure just turned bullish but the HTF target is still pointing down — that's often a sign you're looking at a countertrend bounce or a pullback rather than a fresh trend continuation, not a fully confirmed reversal yet.
Note: this tool intentionally doesn't auto-label market phases (accumulation/distribution) or draw supply/demand zones — reading trend context and zone validity is left to the trader, since that involves judgment a mechanical rule can't fully capture. Every trader has been there. You're in a trade, the trend looks healthy, and then suddenly price flips on you. You had no warning. You held too long. The trend was already breaking down you just couldn't see it clearly enough.
That's exactly what Structure Break Chain was built to solve.
SBC is a market structure tracking tool that reads how price is actually moving swing by swing, break by break and builds a real-time picture of trend health. Not with a smoothed line or a lagging oscillator, but by watching the raw structure of the market, the sequence of higher highs and lower lows that every trend is made of.
What is a Break of Structure (BOS)?
In any uptrend, price makes a series of higher highs. Every time price closes above a previous swing high, that's a Break of Structure confirmation that the bull trend is still alive and continuing. In a downtrend, it's the opposite: price keeps breaking below previous swing lows.
SBC detects every single one of these breaks automatically and marks them on your chart with a labeled arrow green for bullish, red for bearish. No manual drawing. No guessing.
What is a CHoCH (Change of Character)?
A CHoCH fires when price breaks structure in the opposite direction to the current trend for the first time. In a bull trend, that means price has just broken below a prior swing low. That single event doesn't confirm a full reversal but it's the earliest possible warning that something has changed in the market's behavior.
Most indicators won't catch this until several bars later. SBC marks it the moment it happens, in yellow so it stands out from the regular BOS signals as shown in the image below.
The Chain Counter
Here's what makes SBC different from a standard structure indicator.
Every time a BOS happens in the same direction without interruption, the chain count goes up by 1. When a CHoCH happens, the chain resets to 1 and starts counting in the new direction.
A chain of 4 means price has broken structure 4 times in a row in the same direction. That's a mature, committed trend. A chain of 1 after a CHoCH means the new trend is unproven and fragile you should be cautious about entries.
A live label on the right edge of your chart shows the current chain count in real time as shown in image above. It updates every bar.
Break Quality Score
When price barely scrapes past a swing level by a few ticks on low momentum, that's a very different signal from a strong, high-volume candle closing well beyond the level.
SBC scores every break as STRONG, NORMAL, or WEAK based on two factors:
How far price closed beyond the broken level (relative to ATR)
How large and decisive the breaking candle's body was
STRONG breaks have brighter, more vivid label colors. WEAK breaks are dimmed and semi-transparent as shown in image below. This lets you visually filter the breaks that matter from the noise.
Failed BOS
Sometimes price breaks a level, you get excited, and then it immediately reverses back inside. That's a trap and it's one of the most common ways retail traders get hurt.
SBC watches every confirmed break for the next 1-3 bars (adjustable). If price closes back inside the broken level within that window, the indicator marks it as a FAILED break in purple as shown in image above. This is your earliest possible warning that the breakout wasn't real, often appearing few bars before the CHoCH confirms the reversal.
Using Failed BOS + CHoCH together gives you two layers of confirmation before you act on a potential trend change.
Pullback Entry Zones
After every confirmed BOS, SBC draws a semi-transparent box between the broken level and the previous swing reference as shown in image below. This is the area where price is most likely to pull back before continuing in the trend direction, the optimal entry zone.
The box extends forward by a user defined number of bars and disappears automatically when a new BOS or CHoCH occurs.
Multi-Timeframe Overlay
You can optionally enable a higher timeframe (HTF) structure overlay. When turned on, SBC also tracks BOS and CHoCH events from your chosen higher timeframe and plots them directly on your current chart as dimmed labels as shown in image above, so you always know what the bigger picture is doing.
Note: HTF labels are designed to appear only once per HTF bar, not on every sub-bar. So on a 15-minute chart with a 1-hour HTF, you'll see the HTF label appear once on the first 15-minute candle of that hour not repeated across all four candles.
The dashboard also shows whether your current timeframe trend and the HTF trend are aligned or in conflict. Trading a bull BOS on the 15-minute chart while the 1-hour is bearish is a generally riskier than when both are pointing in same direction.
The Dashboard Panel
A compact information table sits in the corner of your chart (position is adjustable). It shows everything at a glance without you having to read the price action:
Current trend direction (Bullish / Bearish / Neutral)
Live chain count
Quality of the last break (STRONG / NORMAL / WEAK)
HTF direction and alignment status
HTF chain count
Maximum chain ever recorded on this chart
Average chain length across all completed trends
Total BOS count
Total CHoCH count
The chain count in the table turns yellow when it reaches your milestone number (customizable in settings) a visual nudge that the trend is mature.
How to use SBC
Wait for a CHoCH, this is your signal that the previous trend is over and a new one may be starting. Don't trade it immediately.
Watch the first BOS in the new direction if it's STRONG quality, that's confirmation the new trend has real momentum behind it.
Look for a pullback into the entry zone, the green or red dashed box SBC draws is your optimal entry area.
Check the chain count, if you're entering at chain count 1 you're probably early. If you're entering at 6 or 7 the trend is probably mature and a reversal is likely so adjust your expectations accordingly.
Check HTF alignment, if both your timeframe and the higher timeframe are showing the same direction, the trade has more conviction behind it.
Watch for Failed BOS and CHoCH these are your exit warnings. A Failed BOS followed by a CHoCH is a reliable signal to close or tighten your stop.

Pivot Length - how many bars left and right are needed to confirm a swing high or low. Higher values = fewer but cleaner pivots.
BOS Confirmation - "Close" waits for a candle to close beyond the level (safer, recommended). "High/Low" triggers on the wick (faster but noisier).

Shift Structure Cloud [JOAT]Shift Structure Cloud is an open-source Pine Script v6 overlay that converts confirmed swing structure into a clean adaptive trend cloud. It tracks pivot highs and pivot lows, separates continuation breaks from character shifts, and uses the active structure range to build a dynamic average and multi-layer cloud around price.
The problem it solves is structural context. Many trend tools react only to moving averages or oscillator thresholds. This script anchors its visual state to confirmed market structure first, then uses an adaptive cloud to show whether price is trading above, below, or inside the current structural center. 1. Confirmed Pivot Structure
The script uses ta.pivothigh() and ta.pivotlow() to confirm swing highs and lows. A pivot is only accepted after the configured right-side confirmation window closes, which means the level is delayed by design but does not depend on unconfirmed future plotting.

The current structure high and low become break reference levels. A bullish break occurs when price closes above the prior structure high. A bearish break occurs when price closes below the prior structure low. If the break happens against the previous side, it is classified as CHoCH; otherwise it is a continuation BOS.

3. Adaptive Structure Average
Instead of plotting only fixed swing levels, the script calculates the midpoint between the active structure high and low. The midpoint is then smoothed with an adaptive alpha. When price moves far from the structural center, the average becomes more responsive; when price is balanced, it becomes slower.

**What It Does**
The Structure Bias Oscillator tells you which side of the market has structural control — and how committed price is to that direction. It watches for moments when price breaks through a recent swing high or swing low. When that happens, it locks in a directional bias and tracks where price sits within that structure's range until the opposite break occurs. It's a bias meter, not a prediction tool. It reflects what the market has already confirmed through price action.

**How to Read It**
The oscillator displays as a histogram running from –100 to +100, centered on a zero line.
+50 to +100 means price is deep into bullish structure. +50 and below means bullish bias is confirmed but price hasn't pushed far into the range yet. Zero means no structural break has occurred or the market is at equilibrium. –50 and above means bearish bias is confirmed but price hasn't pressed far into the range yet. –100 to –50 means price is deep into bearish structure.
Color reinforces this — bright lime at bullish extremes fading to softer green in the mild zone, bright red at bearish extremes fading to softer red, and gray when there's no active bias.

**Controls**
**Bars Left** — How many bars to the left the indicator looks when identifying a swing high or low. Higher values mean only more significant, widely-spaced pivots are recognized. Lower values make it more reactive to recent swings. Default is 20.
**Bars Right** — How many bars to the right must close before a swing is confirmed. Higher values produce cleaner, more reliable pivots but add lag. Default is 5.
**Non-Repaint Mode** — When on, signals only trigger on fully closed bars. This prevents the indicator from changing its read mid-candle, which is critical for reliable alerts and backreference. Leave this on unless you have a specific reason not to. Default is on.
**Show Signal Line** — Toggles the smoothing line on or off. Turn it off for a clean histogram-only view.
**Signal Type** — How the signal line is calculated. EMA reacts fastest to recent changes. SMA weights all bars equally. WMA gives more weight to recent bars in a linear way. RMA is the smoothest and slowest, best suited for higher timeframes. Default is EMA.

**What Makes This Indicator Unique**
Most oscillators — RSI, MACD, Stochastic, and their derivatives — are momentum tools. They measure the speed or magnitude of price movement. They don't know or care about market structure. They can read bullish while price is collapsing inside a bearish structure, and bearish while price is grinding higher inside a bullish one. You're constantly having to mentally reconcile the oscillator against the chart context yourself.
The SBO skips momentum entirely. It is built exclusively around structure — specifically, breaks of confirmed swing highs and lows. It doesn't fire until structure actually changes. Once it does, the bias is locked and held until the opposite structural event occurs. This means the oscillator and the chart are always in agreement by design, not by coincidence.
The closest existing tools are the Market Structure Oscillator by LuxAlgo and the Structural Range Oscillator on PulseWire. Both incorporate structure in some form. But the LuxAlgo version blends multiple timeframes with weighted period logic, making it more of a composite trend tool than a pure structural read. The Structural Range Oscillator measures price position within a range but doesn't anchor itself to confirmed break events — it adapts continuously rather than locking in on a structural shift.
The SBO does one thing the others don't: it treats a break of structure as a state change, not a score. The bias either flipped or it didn't. And once it has, every subsequent bar is measured against the range that break defined — giving you a normalized, bounded read of how far price has moved into that structural territory. That combination of event-driven bias locking and range-normalized positioning is what separates it from every other structure-adjacent tool currently available.
It also ships with a non-repaint mode on by default, which is not a given on PulseWire. Most public indicators that claim non-repainting behavior bury the logic or leave it optional and off. Here it's the default — because a structural bias tool that repaints on you mid-candle is useless for anything other than chart decoration.

This indicator implements a simple, MSA‑style momentum oscillator that measures how far price has moved above or below its own long‑term trend on the active timeframe, expressed in percentage terms. Instead of looking at raw price, it "oscillates" price around a timeframe‑appropriate simple moving average (SMA) and plots the percentage distance from that SMA as an orange line around a zero baseline. Zero means price is exactly at its structural trend; positive values mean price is extended above trend; negative values mean it is trading below trend.
The script automatically selects the SMA length based on the chart timeframe:
On daily charts it uses the configurable Daily SMA Length (default 252 trading days, roughly 1 year).
On weekly charts it uses Weekly SMA Length (default 208 weeks).
On monthly charts it uses Monthly SMA Length (default 120 months).
This approach is inspired by the ideas behind Momentum Structural Analysis (MSA), which studies where a market trades relative to long‑term moving averages and then treats the momentum line (the oscillator) as the primary object of analysis. The goal is to highlight structural overbought/oversold conditions and regime changes that are often clearer on momentum than on the raw price chart.

How to use it on ratio charts
Apply the same indicator to ratio symbols such as NIFTY50/GOLD, BANKNIFTY/NIFTY50, sector vs index, or any spread you plot as a ratio.
On a ratio chart:
The oscillator now measures relative momentum: how far that ratio is above or below its own long‑term mean.
High positive readings = strong outperformance of the numerator vs the denominator (e.g., equities strongly outperforming gold).
Deep negative readings = strong underperformance (e.g., equities structurally lagging gold).
This is very much in the spirit of MSA’s work on spreads between asset classes: it helps visualize major rotations (equities → gold, financials → commodities, etc.) and whether a relative‑performance trend is stretched, reverting, or breaking into a new phase.

Using multiple timeframes for better decisions
You can stack information across timeframes to get a more robust view:
Monthly : a). Use monthly charts to see secular/structural phases. b). Long multi‑year stretches above or below zero, and large bases or trendline breaks on the monthly oscillator, can mark major bull or bear cycles and big rotations between asset classes.
Weekly : a). Use weekly charts for the primary trend. b). Weekly structures (multi‑month highs/lows, channels, or trendlines on the oscillator) are useful for medium‑term positioning and for confirming or rejecting signals seen on the monthly view.
Daily : a). Use daily charts mainly for timing entries/exits once the higher‑timeframe direction is clear. b). Short‑term extremes on the daily oscillator that align with the larger weekly/monthly structure can offer better‑timed opportunities, while signals that contradict higher‑timeframe momentum are more likely to be noise.

Zones are drawn when a break of structure (new high or low being created) or a market reversal happens.
It will highlight the last valid down move before a new high for bullish zones and the last valid up move before a new low for bearish zones.
These zones are used to analyze the market trend and to make entries into the market trend once the price retraces into these zones.
For example, with the latest bullish zones drawn in green for LTF zones and in blue for HTF zones, when the price retraces into this zone, there is a strong probability that the price will turn around to provide a buying opportunity all the way to the top of the zone or even higher.
These buying opportunities generally occur at specific retracement levels in the 30%, 50% and 70% zones, automatically represented by broken lines in the zones when they are created.
Example with bullish zones :
The aim with these zones is to find places on the chart where it's best to buy or sell, in order to take the biggest possible move while minimizing your risk.
Indeed, if the price is rising and a bullish zone has been created, I don't want to buy on the highs, preferring to wait for a retracement in my bullish zone to buy lower and reduce my risk, as the invalidation of the current trend will be found below the last protected low under the bullish zone drawn in blue for the HTF and in green for the LTF. Conversely, if the price is falling and a bearish zone has been created, I don't want to sell at the bottom. I'd rather wait for a retracement in the bearish zone to sell higher and reduce my risk, as the invalidation of the current trend will this time be above the last protected high above the bearish zone drawn in orange for the HTF and red for the LTF.
Example with bearish zones :
When it comes to market structure, it's good to know that zones recur within the same trend at a frequency of between 3 and 6 before there's a trend reversal.
So, after a certain number of successive zones, you can expect a reversal or the last protected high or low to be breached. The indicator automatically counts the number of successive zones, so you can keep track of the market and avoid surprises.
The zones are generated through the structure length. It can be increased to display larger (and more important) zones.
As we recommend keeping the default value (20) for new traders, experienced traders will find some success with other settings depending on their strategies.
Structure Pilot also provides auto HTF Zones, which is particularly useful to have a macro vision of the market.

If prices pull back to this level after an uptrend and flip in a lower timeframe, traders might view it as a strong sign of continued bullish momentum. 50% Level : This level is seen as a balance point or midpoint in the price move. A retracement to 50% can indicate a strong trend change or continuation.
70% Level : A retracement this deep can signal that the market might be losing steam or that the previous trend could be weakening. If the price bounces off this level, it might suggest that the trend is still in control but needed a more significant correction before moving further in its original direction.

Much like the MACD, the PPO uses a couple lagging indicators to present Momentum as a percentage. But it lacks context to market structure.
What It’s Based On
This tool is based on a dual-moving-average PPO oscillator structure (Percentage Price Oscillator) enhanced by:

How It Works
1. Oscillator Structure
LHs (above zero): momentum weakening in uptrends.
HLs (below zero): momentum strengthening in downtrends.
Only valid pivots are shown (e.g., an LH must be preceded by a valid LL).
2. Exhaustion Levels
Green demand lines: price is making new lows, but oscillator prints HL → potential exhaustion.
Red supply lines: price is making new highs, but oscillator prints LH → potential exhaustion.
These lines are future-facing, projecting likely reaction zones based on momentum weakening.
3. Moving Averages on Price
Two MAs are drawn on the price chart:
Fast MA (same length as PPO short input)
Slow MA (same length as PPO long input)

Lower High and Higher Low Signals

**These LH and HL markers are not reading as divergences in price vs momentum.**
They are simply registering against the highs and lows of itself..
Moving Averages on Price Action
The Oscillator will cross over its ZERO level the same time your Short and Long MAs cross each other. This will indicate that the short term average trend is moving ahead of the long term.
Crossovers are not an entry signal. It's a method in determining you current timeframe trend strength. Always observe price action as it passes through each of your moving averages and compare it to the positioning and direction of the oscillator.
If price dips in between the moving averages while the oscillator still shows a strong trend strength, you can wait for price to move ahead of your fast moving average.

A vast majority of modern data analysis & modelling techniques rely upon the idea of hidden patterns, wether it is some type of visualisation tool or some form of a complex machine learning algorithm, the one thing that they have in common is the belief, that patterns tell us what’s hidden behind plain numbers. The same philosophy has been adopted by many traders & investors worldwide, there’s an entire school of thought that operates purely based on chart patterns. This is where Sniffer comes in, it is a tool designed to simplify & quantify the job of pattern recognition on any given price chart, by combining various factors & techniques that generate high-quality results.
This tool analyses bars selected by the user, and highlights bar clusters on the chart that exhibit similar behaviour across multiple dimensions. It can detect a single candle pattern like hammers or dojis, or it can handle multiple candles like morning/evening stars or double tops/bottoms, and many more. In fact, the tool is completely independent of such specific candle formations, instead, it works on the idea of vector similarity and generates a degree of similarity for every single combination of candles. Only the top-n matches are highlighted, users get to choose which patterns they want to analyse and to what degree, by customising the feature-space.
Background
In the world of trading, a common use-case is to scan a price chart for some specific candlestick formations & price structures, and then the chart is further analysed in reference to these events. Traders are often trying to answer questions like, when was the last time price showed similar behaviour, what are the instances similar to what price is doing right now, what happens when price forms a pattern like this, what were some of other indicators doing when this happened last(RSI, CCI, ADX etc), and many other abstract ideas to have a stronger confluence or to confirm a bias.Having such a context can be vital in making better informed decisions, but doing this manually on a chart that has thousands of candles can have many disadvantages. It’s tedious, human errors are rather likely, and even if it’s done with pin-point accuracy, chances are that we’ll miss out on many pieces of information. This is the thought that gave birth to Sniffer .
Sniffer tries to provide a general solution for pattern-based analysis by deploying vector-similarity computation techniques, that cover the full-breadth of a price chart and generate a list of top-n matches based on the criteria selected by the user. Most of these techniques come from the data science space, where vector similarity is often implemented to solve classification & clustering problems. Sniffer uses same principles of vector comparison, and computes a degree of similarity for every single candle formation within the selected range, and as a result generates a similarity matrix that captures how similar or dissimilar a set of candles is to the input set selected by the user.
How It Works
A brief overview of how the tool is implemented:
- Every bar is processed, and a set of features are mapped to it.
- Bars selected by the user are captured, and saved for later use.
- Once the all the bars have been processed, candles are back-tracked and degree of similarity is computed for every single bar(max-limit is 5000 bars).
- Degree of similarity is computed by comparing attributes like price range, candle breadth & volume etc.
- Similarity matrix is sorted and top-n results are highlighted on the chart through boxes of different colors.

A brief overview of how degree of similarity is calculated:
- Each bar set is compared to the inout bar set within the selected feature space
- Features are represented as vectors, and distance between the vectors is calculated
- Shorter the distance, greater the similarity
- Different distance calculation methods are available to choose from, such as Cosine, Euclidean, Lorentzian, Manhattan, & Pearson
- Each method is likely to generate slightly different results, users are expected to select the method & the feature space that best fits their use-case
How To Use It
- Usage of this tool is relatively straightforward, users can add this indicator to their chart and similar clusters will be highlighted automatically
- Users need to select a time range that will be treated as input, and bars within that range become the input formation for similarity calculations
- Boxes will be draw around the clusters that fit the matching criteria
- Boxes are color-coded, green color boxes represent the top one-third of the top-n matches, yellow boxes represent the middle third, red boxes are for bottom third, and white box represents user-input
- Boxes colors will be adjusted as you adjust input parameters, such as number of matches or look-back period

Users can configure the following options:
- Select the time-range to set input bars
- Select the look-back period, number of candles to backtrack for similarity search
- Select the number of top-n matches to show on the chart
- Select the method for similarity calculation
- Adjust the feature space, this enables addition of custom features, such as pattern recognition, technical indicators, rate of change etc
- Toggle verbosity, shows degree of similarity as a percentage value inside the box

Final Note
- Similarity matches will be shown only within last 4500 bars.
- In theory, it is possible to compute similarity for any size candle formations, indicator has been tested with formations of 50+ candles, but it is recommended to select smaller range for faster & cleaner results.
- As you move to smaller time frames, selected time range will provide a larger number of candles as input, which can produce undesired results, it is advised to adjust your selection when you change time frames. Seeking suggestions on how to directly receive bars as user input, instead of time range.
- At times, users may see array index out of bound error when setting up this indicator, this generally happens when the input range is not properly configured. So, it should disappear after you select the input range, still trying to figure out where it is coming from, suggestions are welcome.

Price Swing Detection - Smart Money ConceptSince my own style is Smart Money Concept and these days I have seen a lot of my friends who are having trouble identifying structures for their indicators and strategies. I wrote this code so they could use it in their strategy . In fact, this type of structure, as one of the strongest technical structures, can increase the success of your strategy according to your personalization.
The script detects swings (i.e. significant highs and lows) in a financial instrument's price action over a specified period. The user can set the lookback period (number of candles to consider) and the colors of the lines representing bullish and bearish trends.
The script has two functions: detectSwing and pivot high. The detectSwing function calculates the swing highs and lows for the specified number of candles. The function uses the ta.highest and ta.lowest functions to find the highest and lowest prices, respectively, over the lookback period. The function also determines the swing state (high or low) of the current candle and returns the calculated swing values.
The pivot high function calculates the pivot high, which is an important step in detecting bullish structures in the market. If a new top (i.e. swing high) is found, the script updates the pivot high values and creates a line from the recent top to the last bar. The script also updates the trailing maximum values, which are used to extend the top extension line.
For Strategy :
The variable "trendDirection" in the code is used to keep track of the trend state, either bullish (up trend) or bearish (down trend), in the market. The variable is initialized to 0 which represents a downtrend. The value of this variable is updated later in the code based on the calculations of swing highs and lows, pivot crosses, and the trailing maximum.
