EdgeHunter Levels & SweepsEdgeHunter Levels + Sweeps is a multi-timeframe reference level tracker that draws the key highs and lows traders use for context, monitors each level for sweeps in real time using 1-minute resolution, tracks whether a higher timeframe close has reclaimed back inside a swept level, and fires alerts at each stage. All levels, sweep states, and reclaim status are summarised in a live on-chart table.
Levels Tracked
The indicator draws and monitors the following levels simultaneously:
Previous Day High and Low — sourced from the daily timeframe, updated each new session
Previous 1-Hour High and Low — sourced from the 60-minute timeframe, updated each new hour
Previous 4-Hour High and Low — sourced from the 4-hour timeframe, updated each new 4-hour close
Asia Session High and Low — built from a configurable Asia session window (default 20:00–00:00 NY time)
London Session High and Low — built from a configurable London session window (default 02:00–05:00 NY time)
Midnight Open — the opening price of the 00:00 candle in the configured timezone, tracked as a reference level for the trading day
Previous Day Volume Profile Levels — manually entered VAH, VAL, and POC from an external volume profile tool
Each level is drawn from its originating bar and extends forward until swept, at which point the line stops extending and its style switches to dotted to visually indicate it has been taken.
Sweep Detection
All sweep detection runs internally against 1-minute data, regardless of the timeframe the chart is set to. A level is marked swept the moment any 1-minute bar's high crosses above a high level or low crosses below a low level. This ensures sweeps are caught without waiting for a higher timeframe candle to close.
Reclaim Tracking
After a level is swept, the indicator continues monitoring whether price has closed back inside — on a user-selected higher timeframe (configurable, e.g., 1-hour). Each level carries one of three states at any time: Unswept, Outside (swept and the HTF close confirmed outside), or Inside (swept and the HTF close confirmed back inside the level). This reclaim state is what many traders consider confirmation that the sweep was a liquidity grab rather than a genuine directional break.
Status Table
A live table displays every tracked level with its name, current sweep status (SWEPT / UNSWEPT), and current close status relative to the chosen HTF. The table background colour changes to indicate swept levels at a glance. The table position, text size, and colour scheme are fully configurable.
Label Anti-Stacking
When multiple levels are close together in price, labels are automatically staggered vertically to prevent overlap. A configurable minimum separation and step size control how aggressively labels are pushed apart. This keeps the chart readable even when session highs and lows cluster in a narrow range.
Alerts
Three categories of alerts are available:
Level Swept (1m) — fires when any tracked level is crossed using 1-minute precision, naming the level and price
HTF Closed Inside — fires when a previously swept level is reclaimed on the chosen HTF close, indicating a potential false break
VP Level Touch — fires when price touches the manually entered VAH, VAL, or POC, on a per-level or combined basis
All alerts use once per bar close to prevent repeated firing and include the level name and price in the message. Indicator

🧩 METHODOLOGY
LEVELS. Previous Day High/Low and Previous Week High/Low are pulled via higher-timeframe requests and rendered as persistent lines extending from today's session open to the right. The nearest round number is drawn as a single dotted line on the chart; the full list of nearby round numbers is shown in the dashboard panel to keep the chart clean.
BIAS SCORE. For each timeframe (1H, 4H, 1D, 1W), three components are evaluated: fast EMA versus slow EMA relationship, close versus fast EMA position, and fast EMA slope direction. Each component contributes plus or minus one, averaged to a per-timeframe score between -1 and +1. The four timeframe scores are then combined using the selected weighting mode and normalized to a 0-100 scale. Scores above 65 are labeled Bull, below 35 Bear, and in between Neutral.
VOLATILITY. Daily ATR over the configurable length (default 14) determines the expected range. The range is centered on today's session open and expanded by the Range Multiplier input. ATR as a percentage of open price classifies the regime: below 1% is Low, above 4% is High, in between is Normal.
PLANS. The script composes Plan A (primary, aligned with bias), optionally Plan B (alternative, opposite-side rejection path), and optionally Plan C (range / mean-reversion, activated when volatility is low or bias is neutral). Plan references adapt automatically to chart timeframe — intraday and daily charts use PDH/PDL, weekly and higher charts use PWH/PWL. The language is deliberately conditional and references historical patterns rather than predicting future prices.

The script includes five built-in alert conditions:
• New Daily Plan Generated — fires when the daily refresh anchor triggers.
• Price Broke PDH — crossover above Previous Day High.

🛠️ HOW TO USE
1. Add the script to your chart at the start of each trading day (or leave it on permanently — it refreshes automatically).
2. Read the dashboard panel top to bottom: LEVELS tell you where the battle lines are, BIAS tells you the dominant direction, VOLATILITY tells you how much room the market has, PLANS give you conditional playbooks for the day.
3. Check the "Risk Note" line — it adapts to the volatility regime and bias. Low volatility suggests patience, high volatility suggests reducing size, neutral bias suggests waiting for a clean break.
4. Use the plotted levels as structural references for your own entries and exits. The projected range box highlights where mean-reversion trades are statistically more likely to work.
5. Set alerts on PDH/PDL breaks and projected-range expansion events to get notified when your Plan A or Plan B is being tested.
6. Adjust the bias mode to match your style: intraday scalpers benefit from Fast (HTF-weighted), position traders often prefer Conservative (MTF-weighted).

• This is a briefing tool, not a strategy or signal generator. It does not open, close, or manage trades.
• All levels and plans are derived from historical data (previous day/week highs and lows, ATR, EMA structure). Past structure does not guarantee future behavior.
• Projected ranges are statistical estimates based on ATR — actual daily ranges can and do exceed them, especially during news events or regime shifts.
• The multi-timeframe bias score is a momentum/trend structure measurement, not a prediction. Markets can reverse at any time regardless of bias.
• Plan language uses historical-pattern framing deliberately. No plan is a forecast; it is a conditional reference for discretionary decision-making.
• On weekly and higher timeframes, PDH/PDL are hidden by design because "previous day" is not a meaningful unit for weekly-horizon decisions. Plan A and Plan B use PWH/PWL as reference in those cases.
• The script does not repaint on closed higher-timeframe bars. The daily open, PDH, PDL, PWH, PWL are locked once the respective higher-timeframe bar closes.
• Round-number auto-detection uses price magnitude; for unusual instruments (very high or very low priced), review the levels manually.

🔬 Methodology
Previous-period levels are pulled from the daily, weekly, and monthly timeframes using request.security() with lookahead enabled for the completed-period values. This approach is standard, transparent, and non-repainting — historical data does not change.
Session levels are tracked bar by bar using customizable session time inputs. Each session resets at its start time and tracks the running high and low until the session closes. The Asian, London, and New York sessions can each be configured independently.
Touch detection uses an ATR-based tolerance band (default 10% of ATR). When price closes within that tolerance of a level, the touch counter increments. A break is registered when price closes on the opposite side of a level compared to the prior bar. Respect rate is calculated as touches / (touches + breaks) × 100.
Line width scales with touch count: 1 touch = width 1, 2–4 touches = width 2, 5+ touches = width 3. Broken levels switch to dashed style and a muted color.
The label collision system operates in three stages: first, all enabled levels are collected into a sorted array; second, same-price levels are deduplicated based on priority (Monthly highest, Session lowest); third, an upward sweep enforces minimum vertical spacing using a blend of ATR and chart-range heuristics, ensuring labels never overlap regardless of market volatility.

Level Survival Map goes further by measuring the quality of every interaction and turning it into a single composite health score per level. Pivot detection builds the raw candidate levels from swing highs and swing lows using the standard pivot window. A merge filter removes duplicates that sit within a configurable ATR distance of an existing same-type level. Each active level then accumulates four independent components over time. Close Respect rewards closes that respect the level side, for example closes above a support. Penetration Damage penalises wicks and bodies that pierce through the level zone. Reaction Quality rewards strong rejection wicks and bodies moving away from the level after a test. Test Fatigue penalises repeated tests because levels tend to weaken with each new hit. These four components are weighted and combined into a single Survival Score, then clamped between 0 and 100. A structural break caps the score at 35, heavy damage across multiple tests caps it at 28, and a confirmed sequence of opposite-side closes flips the level type while resetting its history. The Active Level is chosen as the closest same-side level to price so that the focus always follows the real decision point.

The visual output itself is the primary signal. Line colour and thickness communicate level strength at a glance. A focused Active Level is drawn with an interaction zone, a darker core band and a forward projection ribbon so that traders can see the exact price band where reaction is most likely, and how far into the future that band is expected to remain relevant. Labels carry the Survival Score directly, so the ranking of levels is always visible without opening any settings. Broken levels switch to a dashed style and faded colour, and once enough opposite-side closes accumulate they flip type automatically, giving a clear visual signature of structural change.

Pivot Left Bars and Pivot Right Bars control how strict the swing detection is. Max Active Levels caps how many concurrent levels are tracked. Level Merge Distance and Interaction Zone are expressed in ATR units so the logic adapts across timeframes and instruments. Scoring weights for Close Respect, Penetration Damage, Reaction Quality and Test Fatigue can be tuned independently, together with the fatigue penalty per extra test and the number of closes required to confirm a flip. Read the map top down. First, look at the summary panel for the Active Level, its Survival Score, Test Count and Damage State. A Fresh or Strong Active Level defending its side is a high-quality decision point. A Fragile or Eroded Active Level with a Severe Damage State is a warning that the next level below or above is likely to take over. Use the projection ribbon as a planning band for reaction rather than a mechanical entry. Use the ranked non-Active labels to understand where price is likely to travel if the Active Level gives way. The tool is designed to be used as a visual framework, in combination with the trader own execution method, trend context and risk management.

Traditional support and resistance tools draw static lines. They cannot tell you whether a level was tested once or ten times, whether reactions were backed by strong volume or weak, whether the level was formed yesterday or months ago, or how price is currently interacting with that level.

HOW PRICE MEMORY WORKS
The lifecycle of a memory level:
BIRTH - A confirmed pivot swing (high or low) creates a new memory level, or merges into a nearby existing level if one exists within the merge distance.
REINFORCEMENT - Each subsequent reaction at the level adds heat. Reactions with above-average volume add proportionally more heat. The level's price adjusts as a weighted average of all reactions.
DECAY - Every bar without a reaction, the level's heat is multiplied by the decay rate (default 0.992). This creates a natural half-life where untouched levels gradually lose prominence.
DEATH - When heat falls below the death threshold (default 0.08), the level is permanently removed. This keeps the chart clean and focused on relevant levels.
The heat value drives everything:
→ Zone color intensity (hotter = more prominent visual)
→ Classification tier (Dominant, Strong, Active, Developing)
→ Dashboard ranking (sorted by heat, hottest first)

HEAT → Visual heat bar using 8 segments.

BEHAVIOR DETECTION
When price approaches a memory zone, the indicator analyzes real-time price action to classify how the market is interacting with that level. The detected behavior is displayed as part of the zone label and in the dashboard STATUS column.
Behaviors are checked in priority order. Only the highest-priority match is displayed.
BREAK (Highest Priority):
→ Price opens on one side of the zone and closes decisively on the other
→ Requires strong body (more than 50% of candle range)
→ Close direction must match candle direction (bullish close for Break ↑)
→ Indicates the level has failed and may flip from support to resistance or vice versa
→ Once a Break is detected, the level is marked internally so future Retest detection becomes possible
SWEEP:
→ Price extends significantly beyond the zone (1.5x zone height past the edge) then reverses
→ The extended wick must be larger than the body and more than 35% of total range
→ Close must be back near or inside the zone
→ This pattern often represents a liquidity grab - price pushes through to trigger stops then reverses
REJECTION:
→ A prominent wick touches or enters the zone, and the body closes away
→ Wick must exceed 45% of the candle's total range
→ Body must have meaningful size (more than 25% of range) confirming conviction
→ Indicates the level is actively defending - buyers or sellers are stepping in
RETEST:
→ Price returns to a level that was previously broken
→ Requires all lookback bars to have been on one side (away from zone)

A Dominant-classified zone (gold/yellow) showing 7 or more hits with Veteran age tells you this is a deeply embedded structural level. The market has reacted here many times over hundreds of bars and the level continues to maintain high heat. When price approaches this zone, the probability of a meaningful reaction is elevated compared to a Developing zone with 2 hits.
EXAMPLE 2 - CONFIRMING A BREAKOUT:
Price approaches a Strong resistance zone. The label updates to show "Break ↑" as price closes decisively above. The dashboard STATUS column changes from "0.5% below" to "BRK↑". If price later returns to this zone and the label shows "Retest ↑", this confirms the classic resistance-to-support flip pattern. The zone's wasBroken flag ensures Retest detection only activates after a confirmed Break.
EXAMPLE 3 - SPOTTING LIQUIDITY SWEEPS:
A high-heat zone sits above price. Price spikes through the zone with a long upper wick but closes back inside or below. The label displays "Sweep ↓" indicating a potential stop-hunt pattern. The wick exceeded 1.5 times the zone height beyond its edge and the upper wick dominated the candle's body - both requirements for Sweep classification.
EXAMPLE 4 - READING VOLUME CONVICTION:

The reactions that built Zone A attracted nearly 3 times the average bar volume, suggesting strong institutional interest. IMPORTANT NOTES
RETROACTIVE ANCHORING:
Pivot-based levels are confirmed after the Pivot Sensitivity number of bars have passed. The level is drawn at the true swing bar but only becomes known after confirmation. This is standard pivot behavior used across all pivot-based indicators and does not constitute future data usage.
VOLUME DATA AVAILABILITY:
Some assets, particularly certain forex pairs, may not report volume data. When volume is unavailable, relative volume displays show "-" and volume weighting is automatically disabled. The indicator functions fully without volume data.
EARLY CHART BEHAVIOR:
Zones and behavior labels may be sparse early in chart history. The indicator needs sufficient bars to detect pivots, accumulate heat, and meet the minimum hit count. Allow at least 100 bars for the system to populate meaningfully.

The core idea is that zones alone generate too many potential entries — by requiring alignment across multiple independent factors before labeling a zone touch, the indicator filters out low-conviction setups and highlights where several references converge.
HOW IT WORKS
Supply & Demand Zone Detection
Zones are built from 60-minute pivot highs and pivot lows using a 3-bar left / 3-bar right pivot structure. When a pivot high is confirmed, the area between the candle's high and the top of its body becomes a supply zone (red). When a pivot low is confirmed, the area between the candle's low and the bottom of its body becomes a demand zone (green). Zones extend forward in real time and are automatically removed when price closes beyond the zone boundary or when the zone exceeds a configurable age limit (default: 500 bars). Only the 3 most recent zones per side are kept to avoid chart clutter.

When price enters a fresh (unused) zone, the indicator checks up to 5 independent factors before printing a signal:
1. Volume delta direction — estimated from the bar's close position within its range. A buy signal requires positive delta; a sell signal requires negative delta.
2. VWAP proximity — whether price is near the session VWAP (within 0.15% of current price).
3. Key level proximity — whether price is near a relevant prior-session level (PDH, PDL, PMH, PML).
4. POC proximity — whether price is near the intraday volume Point of Control.
5. VWAP trend bias — whether price is on the "right side" of VWAP for the signal direction (buy below VWAP, sell above).
Each matching factor adds 1 to the score. The signal label displays the count (e.g., "Buy 4/5") so traders can see at a glance how many factors aligned. A configurable cooldown (default: 12 bars) prevents repeated signals in the same area. An additional filter requires bearish candle close for sells and bullish candle close for buys.
Note: The confluence score is simply a count of how many factors happen to align at the moment of zone contact. A higher count does not predict or guarantee a successful trade. It is a filtering tool, not a performance metric.
SESSION LEVELS & KEY LEVELS
The indicator tracks and displays levels from multiple sessions:
- London session high/low — plotted as live-updating steplines during the session, then held after session close.
- Asia session high/low — same behavior, off by default.
- Key levels drawn as dashed horizontal lines: Previous Day High/Low/Close (PDH/PDL/PDC), Pre-Market High/Low (PMH/PML), Previous Week High/Low (PWH/PWL), Overnight High/Low (ONH/ONL), and the RTH Opening Print. All are off by default and individually toggleable.
Previous day and week values use request.security() with a offset and lookahead_on, which is the standard method to reference the prior completed period without future data leakage.
ADDITIONAL TOOLS (all off by default)
- VWAP — standard session-anchored VWAP using ohlc4 as source.
- POC — intraday volume Point of Control calculated by distributing each bar's volume into a 100-bin histogram across the RTH price range, then finding the bin with the highest accumulated volume. Resets daily.
- Fair Value Gaps — bullish and bearish imbalances detected when a gap exists between bar 's low and bar 's high (or vice versa), filtered by a minimum percentage size (default: 0.15%). FVGs auto-expire after 40 bars. Maximum 6 active FVGs.
- Opening Range — plots the RTH opening range as a box (15 or 30 minute, configurable). Extends through the session.
WHY THIS COMBINATION
Most zone-based approaches generate signals every time price touches a zone, regardless of context. This indicator addresses that by requiring zone contact AND directional volume AND candle confirmation before printing anything, then layering additional context (VWAP, key levels, POC) as a visible confluence count. The result is fewer signals that occur only at zones where multiple independent references happen to converge.
The session levels (London, Asia, pre-market, overnight) are included because futures often react at session boundaries, and having them as toggleable overlays avoids needing separate indicators cluttering the chart.
HOW TO USE
1. Apply to a 1-15 minute intraday futures chart (defaults tuned for NQ on 5 min).
2. Adjust "Min Zone Size" for your instrument (NQ: 20-50 pts, ES: 5-15 pts).
3. Watch for Buy/Sell labels at zone touches. Higher confluence counts (4/5, 5/5) mean more factors aligned — use your own judgment on whether the context supports a trade.
4. Toggle key levels on/off depending on which session references matter to your trading approach.
5. All features are independently toggleable. Start with zones + signals, then add levels as needed.

LIMITATIONS
- Volume delta is estimated from bar close position within range — it is not true order flow data.
- POC uses a 100-bin histogram which is an approximation, not tick-level volume profile.
- Confluence scoring counts factor alignment but does not predict outcomes. Past confluence patterns do not guarantee future results.
- Zone detection has a 3-bar lag due to pivot confirmation.
- Designed for futures instruments. Adjust zone size settings for other markets.
