The sequence only begins to display when the stock price reaches the trigger condition.
When the trigger condition is reached on number 9, a 9-turn structure is formed. If the trigger condition is not reached on the number 9, the numbers of the previous 8 disappear, and the 9-turn structure is invalid. A 9-turn structure formed during a stock price rise is called an "Upward 9" structure (a green highlight area with green small arrow). the number above the candlestick chart and then a downward trend may occur after the upward trend. Trendline Architect is an automatic trendline indicator that does what most trendline tools skip: it validates every line before drawing it, makes each line earn its status through real touches, grades every breakout by quality, and then automates the break-and-retest sequence that trendline traders normally track by hand. Lines are born as dotted candidates, promoted to solid confirmed trendlines only after the market validates them with a third touch, graded on breakout, kept on a retest watch after they break, and paired into parallel channels automatically — all with a deliberately quiet chart: one-letter signals whose full context lives in hover tooltips.
The problem this script solves is trendline spaghetti and trendline noise. Automatic trendline tools typically draw every pivot-to-pivot connection and alert on every violation. This engine rejects invalid lines at birth, refuses duplicates, caps how many lines can exist per side, silences the breaks of unproven lines by default, and filters weak breakouts by grade — so what remains on the chart is only what the market has actually respected.
🔶 WHAT IS A TRENDLINE BREAK AND RETEST?
A trendline connects successive swing points and acts as dynamic support or resistance while price respects it. A breakout occurs when price closes decisively through the line. The retest is what disciplined traders wait for next: price returning to the broken line from the other side and rejecting — old support acting as new resistance, or old resistance reclaimed as support. That return-and-reject is one of the most traded patterns in classical charting, and this engine detects the entire sequence automatically: validated line, graded break, watch window, confirmed retest.
🔶 WHY THIS SCRIPT IS ORIGINAL
1. Geometric validity at birth. A candidate line is rejected before it is ever drawn if any candle close violated the segment between its two anchor pivots. Lines that were never respected never reach the chart.
2. Touch-earned lifecycle. Every line starts as a dotted, untagged candidate. Each validated touch — a wick into tolerance with a close that respects the line — is counted, and only at the configured touch count is the line promoted: solid, thicker, fully colored, with a live ×N touch tag. The chart itself shows which lines the market obeys.
3. Anti-spaghetti engineering. Duplicate candidates with similar slope and position are refused, each side is capped at a configurable number of active lines with the weakest evicted first, and stale lines expire by age. The chart stays readable on every timeframe.
4. Breakout quality grading. Every breakout is scored from three observable components — volume z-score, penetration depth in Average True Range units, and breakout candle body ratio — into grades A, B, and C. Grade A signals highlight in the accent color.
5. A retest engine. Broken lines are not deleted; they turn into gray watch lines for a configurable window. A return to the broken line with a rejecting close prints the Retest signal — the classic polarity flip, automated.
6. Silence by default, depth on demand. Signals print as single letters — B for breakout, R for retest — with the full context (direction, grade, volume, penetration) in the hover tooltip. Two noise filters ship enabled: breaks of unconfirmed lines retire silently, and breakouts below a minimum grade stay off the chart and out of the alerts.
7. Automatic channel detection. When an active support line and resistance line run parallel within a slope tolerance, the engine fills the channel between them and reports it on the dashboard.
8. A live architecture dashboard. Active support and resistance counts, the nearest line with its distance in Average True Range units, a trend read derived from confirmed line slopes, the last break grade, the retest watch count, and channel status — in a compact, fully themeable panel.
🔶 HOW IT WORKS
Line construction: Confirmed swing pivots anchor every candidate line. Each new pivot is paired with the previous same-side pivot, the segment is checked for historical violations, duplicates are rejected, and side capacity is enforced before the line is created.
Touch validation: A touch counts only when the wick enters the tolerance band around the line and the close still respects it. Touches accumulate on the line's tag; the confirming touch promotes the line and, from that point, validated touches are marked with dots.
Breakouts: A close through the line beyond the buffer triggers the break. Confirmed lines produce graded signals; forming lines retire silently when the default filter is on. The broken line converts to a gray dashed watch line.
Retests: Within the watch window, a return to the broken line with a rejecting close prints R — upward reclaim of broken resistance, or downward rejection at broken support. Watch lines that see no retest expire quietly.
Channels: Active opposite-side lines are compared by slope; the closest parallel pair within tolerance is filled as a channel.
Non-repainting: Pivots require confirmation, and all touches, promotions, breaks, and retests are evaluated on closed bars only. Once printed, nothing moves.
Chart hygiene: Completed lines, touch dots, and signals are all capped by input, keeping the chart clean and the auto-scale anchored to current price.
🔶 HOW TO USE IT
1. Works on any market — cryptocurrency, forex, gold, indices, stocks, futures — and any timeframe. Raise the pivot length for larger structures.
2. Trust the visual hierarchy: dotted lines are candidates, solid lines with ×N tags are market-validated, gray dashed lines are broken and on retest watch.
3. Treat B signals as regime information: grade A breakouts with volume and penetration carry far more weight than the minimum-grade ones, and the grade is one hover away.
4. The R signal is the classic entry location: the broken line has flipped roles and price has confirmed the flip. Stops belong on the far side of the retested line.
5. Use the dashboard's Nearest row to know how far price is from the closest active line in Average True Range units before it gets there.
6. If you want the raw, unfiltered feed, disable the two noise filters in Signals — the engine detects everything either way.

🔶 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does the indicator repaint? No. Anchors are confirmed pivots and every touch, break, and retest is evaluated at bar close. Pivot confirmation introduces intentional lag equal to the pivot length.
Why do I see so few lines? By design. Between geometric validation, duplicate rejection, side caps, and expiry, only lines with genuine market respect survive. Raise the per-side cap or lower the confirmation count for a busier chart.
What do B and R mean? B is a graded breakout and R is a confirmed retest of the broken line. Hover either label for direction, grade, volume, and penetration details.
Why did a breakout print no signal? Either the line was still unconfirmed while the confirmed-only filter is on, or the break graded below your minimum. The line still changed state; only the signal was filtered.
What makes a grade A breakout? Elevated volume, deep penetration beyond the line in Average True Range terms, and a strong-bodied breakout candle — all three together.

A Head & Shoulders is identifiable from the moment the right shoulder begins forming — before price has reached the neckline. A Bull Flag is established from the moment the pole terminates and consolidation begins.
Most pattern indicators wait until the breakout is confirmed — at which point the pattern is already complete, the first wave of breakout traders has already entered, and the entry price is often significantly beyond the pattern boundary. RELAY inverts this model. What FORMING means: The pattern exists and is valid. Completion percentage is typically 60–80% in this phase. The formation box is drawn on the chart in purple. The neckline or boundary is plotted as a solid purple line. The dashboard shows the pattern name, FORMING phase, and the current completion percentage.
How to use FORMING: Plan your trade. Note the neckline level. Calculate where your entry, stop, and targets will be if the pattern fires. Set a price alert at the ARMED zone boundary so you are notified when price begins approaching the trigger level. Do not enter yet.

Phase 2 — ARMED (Orange)

What ARMED means: Price is close enough to the neckline that the next 1–5 bars will likely determine whether the pattern fires or fails. Completion percentage typically reaches 85–100% in this phase. The formation box and neckline shift to orange. The dashboard phase row turns orange. An ARMED alert fires.
How to use ARMED: This is your active preparation signal. If you are trading with limit orders, now is the time to place a limit order at the neckline level. If you prefer market orders on breakout, watch the chart closely for the closing candle confirmation. Review the confluence score — if it is at or above the minimum, the ARMED setup is worth your full attention.
ARMED alert: Separate alert conditions fire for ARMED Long and ARMED Short, allowing you to set up targeted notifications for the direction you want to trade. The ARMED alert is the pre-breakout awareness signal.

The completion percentage is a pattern-specific quantitative score that measures how far along the formation has progressed toward its breakout. Unlike a simple binary detection, the completion score gives you continuous awareness of pattern health.
How completion is computed:
Each pattern type starts with a base completion score that reflects the geometric confirmation of the core structure:
Double Top / Bottom base: 70% — the two-pivot structure is confirmed
Head & Shoulders / Inv H&S base: 65% — the three-pivot structure with neckline is confirmed
Triangles base: 60–75% — converging trendlines with sufficient base height
Flags / Pennants base: 62% — pole plus parallel or converging consolidation confirmed
Wedges base: 58–78% — converging wedge with correct slope relationship
Additional completion points are awarded for:
+15 points — price is on the correct side of the neckline (below the neckline for Double Tops, above for Double Bottoms)
+15–20 points — price is within the ARMED zone (within ATR tolerance of the neckline or boundary)
Maximum possible completion before breakout is 100%. FIRED state also shows 100% on the dashboard.
Minimum formation threshold: Patterns below the configured minimum completion percentage (default: 55%) are not displayed. This prevents very early, nascent patterns with insufficient structural confirmation from cluttering the chart. Raising this threshold (e.g., to 70%) shows only well-developed formations where the pattern geometry is fully confirmed and price is approaching the trigger.

The neckline for H&S patterns is computed as a projected line through the two neckline pivot points, evaluated at the current bar — producing a dynamically sloped neckline that accurately reflects the true pattern boundary at any point in time.
Phase transitions follow the same ATR-based FORMING → ARMED → FIRED logic, with the ARMED zone assessed against the sloped neckline projection.

Converging trendlines formed by a falling or flat upper trendline and a rising or flat lower trendline. The three variants are distinguished by slope:

Descending Triangle — lower trendline near flat, upper trendline falling. Bear breakout expected
Symmetrical Triangle — both trendlines converging, neither flat. Can break either direction; RELAY tracks the direction of the actual breakout
The ARMED zone is computed relative to the projected upper (bull) or lower (bear) trendline at the current bar. Completion receives a bonus for larger triangle base heights (more than 2× ATR adds 15 points vs 5 points for smaller bases).

Flags and Pennants
A sharp pole move followed by a consolidation with parallel downward-sloping trendlines (Bull Flag / Pennant) or parallel upward-sloping trendlines (Bear Flag / Pennant). The pole size must be at least 2.5× ATR to qualify as a genuine pole rather than normal price movement.
The upper trendline for Bull Flags and the lower trendline for Bear Flags are the breakout boundaries. The ARMED zone is assessed against the projected trendline level at the current bar. The target is the breakout level plus the full pole distance.

Rising and Falling Wedges
Converging patterns where both trendlines slope in the same direction but the lower trendline has a more extreme slope than the upper (Rising Wedge — bearish) or the upper trendline has a more extreme slope than the lower (Falling Wedge — bullish). The slope relationship distinguishes wedges from flags (which are parallel) and triangles (where lines converge to a point rather than widening).
Completion bonus is proportional to the wedge width in ATR multiples — wider wedges with more price range between the trendlines score higher completion. The target is the high of the wedge origin (Falling Wedge) or the low (Rising Wedge) — the structural measurement move.

🏅 The 10-Point Quality Scoring System
Every active pattern is scored through a 10-point confluence system. Only patterns meeting the minimum score threshold (default: 5) are displayed, and the quality-ranked selection algorithm picks the highest-scoring pattern when multiple formations are active simultaneously.
Score components:
Formation Completion (up to 2 points):
Completion at 85% or above scores 2 points. Completion above the configured minimum scores 1 point. This ensures well-developed patterns score higher than nascent formations.
HTF Bias Alignment (up to 2 points):
Bull pattern with bull HTF, or bear pattern with bear HTF, scores 2 points. When HTF is disabled, 1 neutral point is awarded. Counter-HTF patterns score 0. The HTF filter can be set as a hard block on FIRED patterns — preventing counter-HTF breakout alerts even if the pattern is technically valid.
Non-Chop Market (1 point):
Choppiness Index below the threshold. Also enforced as a hard gate — extreme chop blocks all patterns from displaying.
Pattern Phase (up to 2 points):
FIRED scores 2 points, ARMED scores 1 point, FORMING scores 0. This weighting ensures that more advanced phases naturally score higher in the quality ranking — a FIRED pattern will nearly always outscore a FORMING pattern in the selection algorithm.
Volume Coil Before Break (1 point):
Current volume is below the configured fraction of the volume moving average (default: 0.85×). A drying volume condition approaching the neckline is the classic pre-breakout behavior — the market is consolidating on declining interest before the explosive release. This layer rewards patterns where this institutional behavior is present.
R:R at Minimum (1 point):
The computed R:R between entry and TP2 meets or exceeds the minimum (default: 1.5). Ensures only patterns with adequate measured moves relative to their stop are displayed.
Pattern Size (1 point):
The pattern height or target distance meets or exceeds 1.5× ATR. Filters micro-patterns with trivial measured moves.
Selection algorithm:
When multiple patterns qualify simultaneously, RELAY uses a composite ranking that combines the confluence score, completion percentage (weighted at 0.05 per percent), and phase bonus (FIRED: +3, ARMED: +2, FORMING: +0). This ensures that a FIRED pattern with good confluence almost always outranks a FORMING pattern, while also rewarding high-completion ARMED patterns over low-completion FORMING patterns of equal confluence.

📦 Formation Box and Neckline Visualization
Every active pattern is rendered with two core visual elements:
Formation Box:
A rectangle spanning the pattern's horizontal range (from the start bar to the current bar) and vertical range (from the neckline to the opposite extreme of the pattern — the tops for bear patterns, the bottoms for bull patterns). The box color reflects the current phase: purple for FORMING, orange for ARMED, yellow-green or red for FIRED. The fill opacity is moderate (88%) — present enough to identify the pattern zone without obscuring price action behind it.
Neckline / Boundary:
A solid line at the critical breakout level, extending 20 bars beyond the current bar. For patterns with flat necklines (Double Tops, Rectangles), this is a horizontal line. For Head & Shoulders with sloped necklines, the line reflects the slope. The neckline color matches the phase color — shifting through purple, orange, and the directional color as the phase advances.
Phase Label:
A label at the right edge of the formation showing the pattern name, current phase, and completion percentage. Positioned above price for bear patterns, below for bull patterns. The label color matches the phase.

The Spark — How a 2,000-Year-Old Paradox Found the Charts

It started with a film about Aristotle's Wheel
Paradox — a problem that puzzled mathematicians
for two millennia. The setup is deceptively
simple: two circles, one inside the other, share
the same center and roll together along a
straight line. The outer circle traces a distance
equal to its circumference. But the inner circle,
attached rigidly to the outer, also travels the
same distance — yet its circumference is smaller.
How?
The answer lies in slipping . The inner circle
doesn't truly roll — it is dragged . And as it
moves, a point on its rim traces a beautiful
curve called a curtate cycloid — a compressed
wave that never reaches the full height of the
outer wheel's standard cycloid.
The moment I saw those curves being drawn in the
film — the elegant, rhythmic arches of the
cycloid — a thought struck me: what if this
geometry lives inside price charts too? What if
each candle, with its High, Low, Open, and Close,
could be mapped onto a rolling circle — and the
resulting cycloid curves could reveal hidden
structure in market behavior?
That question became this indicator.
The Problem — Why Raw Charts Break Geometry
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A financial chart has two axes that measure
completely different things : the horizontal
axis counts bars (time) , the vertical axis
measures price (currency) . Drawing a circle on
such a chart is meaningless — it stretches and
distorts with every zoom or rescale. A "circle"
on a 1-minute chart looks nothing like the same
"circle" on a daily chart.
To draw real geometry on a price chart, both
axes must speak the same language . I needed a
scientifically rigorous way to convert between
time and price — not an arbitrary ratio, but one
derived from the market itself.
The Bridge — Volatility-Diffusion Normalization (σ√t)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The answer comes from the σ√t scaling law in
financial mathematics. Under Geometric Brownian
Motion, the standard deviation of log-returns
scales as the square root of time:
std(Δ ln P) = σ × √Δt
This means 1 bar of time is equivalent to
σ_bar units of log-price . Once you know σ_bar,
both axes measure the same thing. Geometry
becomes invariant — it doesn't distort with
zoom, timeframe, or instrument.
For σ_bar, I use the Yang-Zhang volatility
estimator — the most statistically efficient
single-bar estimator in the literature. It uses
all four OHLC prices plus the overnight gap
between consecutive bars, combining three variance
components into one optimal estimate. After
extensive testing, a lookback of 20 bars proved
to be the best balance between responsiveness and
stability for geometric calibration.
Candle Selection — Finding the Dominant Voices
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Not every candle deserves a rolling wheel. The
indicator selects maxima candles — candles whose
H−L range is strictly larger than their immediate
chronological predecessor. These represent
volatility expansion events — moments when the
market spoke louder than the bar before it.
Two selection methods work in parallel:
1. Predecessor-Comparison (M0, M1): The scanner
walks backward from the basis candle. At each
step, it compares a candle's range to its
predecessor. When it finds one that is strictly
larger, that candle becomes a maxima. Two are
found this way.
2. Period Largest (M2): A separate scan finds
the single biggest candle (by H−L range) within
the last N bars (default 20). If it differs from
M0 and M1, it's appended as a third maxima — the
"biggest voice in the room."
Live vs. Closed Basis: The user can choose
whether the scanner starts from the live candle
(real-time, updates every tick) or the last closed
candle (stable, confirmed data). This affects both
the backward scan starting point and the CVCA
contact detection basis.
The Geometry — Three Concentric Circles per Candle
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Each selected maxima candle defines three
concentric circles in the normalized space — all
sharing the same center (the geometric midpoint
of the candle):
Outer Circle — diameter = H − L (full candle
range). This is the primary rolling wheel. A point
at its apex (the High) traces a standard cycloid .
Upper Wick Circle — diameter = H − max(O, C)
(upper wick). This inner wheel is dragged by the
outer — it slips along the baseline (Aristotle's
paradox). Traces a curtate cycloid with reduced
amplitude.
Lower Wick Circle — diameter = min(O, C) − L
(lower wick). Also dragged. Also traces a curtate
cycloid.
How the candle maps to circles:
⊚ Outer circle: diameter = H − L (full range)
→ traces a standard cycloid
▲ Upper wick circle: diameter = H − max(O,C)
→ traces a curtate cycloid
▼ Lower wick circle: diameter = min(O,C) − L
→ traces a curtate cycloid
All three share the same center (candle midpoint).
The outer circle is the driving wheel. The two
inner circles are dragged — they slip along the
rolling surface (Aristotle's paradox in action).
Drawing these curves in Pine Script was itself a
challenge — there's no native circle or parametric
curve function. By defining the normalized
coordinate space (where 1 bar = σ_bar units of
log-price) and using polylines with a hybrid
Newton-Bisection root solver to invert x(θ) → θ
at each bar index, I was able to render the
cycloid curves directly on the price chart with
high fidelity.
The parametric equations for each curve follow the
two-radius Aristotle's Wheel formulation:
x(θ) = R·θ − r·sin(θ+φ₀) + r·sin(φ₀)
y(θ) = R − r·cos(θ+φ₀)
Where R = outer rolling radius, r = traced
point's circle radius, and φ₀ = π (apex start,
clockwise rolling). The inverse transform
price = exp(lnLow + y_norm × σ_bar) maps the
normalized cycloid back to the price chart —
geometry anchored at the candle's Low.
On the chart, the curves appear as follows:
⊚ Outer Apex (y = 2R): highest cycloid point

The outer cycloid arches from Low up to 2R and
back. The pin cycloids oscillate within the outer
envelope with reduced amplitude — visible as
nested waves inside the main curve.
The Signal — Cycloid-Volume Contact Analysis (CVCA)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Drawing beautiful curves is one thing. The real
question is: what happens when price touches a
cycloid curve?
The CVCA engine detects real-time intersections
between the live candle and all active cycloid
curves. When contact is detected, it runs a
7-axis prediction matrix that combines geometry
with volume analysis:
Axis 1 — Contact Direction: Did the body cross
the curve? Did a wick test it? Five states: Passed
Up, Passed Down, Stopped, Wick Bounce, Wick
Reject.
Axis 2 — Curve Type: Which circle generated
this curve? Outer (strongest), Upper Pin, or Lower
Pin.
Axis 3 — Curve Zone: Is the contact near the
Apex (peak), Trough (bottom), or Mid-range of the
cycloid?
Axis 4 — Volume Magnitude: How does current
volume at the contact price compare to the maxima
candle's volume at the same price? Amplified,
Proportional, or Depleted.
Axis 5 — Delta Character: How has the buy/sell
imbalance changed since the maxima candle?
Continued, Weakened, or Flipped.
Axis 6 — Absorption Detection: Is heavy
opposing volume being absorbed while price holds?
Buy Absorption, Sell Absorption, or None.
Axis 7 — Multi-Cycloid Confluence: How many
other cycloid curves pass through the same price
level? Single, Double, or Triple+ confluence.
All seven axes feed into a continuous scoring
engine using logistic-sigmoid soft-clamping — no
hard thresholds, no cliff-edge label flips. The
output is a directional probability P(↑), a
conviction score, and a behavior classification
(Strong Bounce, Breakout, Exhaustion, Absorption,
Battle Zone, Delta Flip, Confluence Wall, and
more).
When footprint data is available (PulseWire
Premium/Ultimate), CVCA operates at tick-level
precision — comparing buy and sell volume at the
exact contact price row between the maxima candle
and the current candle. Without footprint, it
falls back to geometry-only analysis using the
first three axes.

Commonness in RBR, DBD, DBR, RBD patterns ?
There is an impulse price movement at first, be it rally (price moving up) or the Drop (price moving down), followed by a period of consolidation which is referred as "BASE" and later with another impulse move of price (Rally or Drop).
Why is the Base Important
1. Market Balance: Base represents a balance between buyers and sellers. This is where decisions are made.
2. Confirmation: It confirms the strength of previous impulse move which has happened.
Base & the Liquidity Play:
Supply & Demand Zone predict the presence of all large orders within the limits of the Base Zone. Price is expected to return to the zone to fill the unfilled orders placed by large players.

1. Indicator computes technical & mathematical operations such as ATR, delta of Highs & Lows of the candle and Candle ranges to identify the patterns and marks the liquidity lines accordingly.

Show Valid Forma t: If this parameter is on "On" mode, only patterns will be displayed that they have exact format and no noise can be seen in them. If "Off" is, the patterns displayed that maybe are noisy and do not exactly correspond to the original pattern.
Show Formation Last Pivot Confirm : if Turned on, you can see this ability of patterns when their last pivot is formed. If this feature is off, it will see the patterns as soon as they are formed. The advantage of this option being clear is less formation of fielded patterns, and it is accompanied by the latest pattern seeing and a sharp reduction in reward to risk.
Period of Formation Last Pivot : Using this parameter you can determine that the last pivot is based on Pivot period.

Show : Enter "On" to display the template and "Off" to not display the template.
Color : Enter the desired color to draw the pattern in this parameter.
LineWidth : You can enter the number 1 or numbers higher than one to adjust the thickness of the drawing lines. This number must be an integer and increases with increasing thickness.
LabelSize : You can adjust the size of the labels by using the "size.auto", "size.tiny", "size.smal", "size.normal", "size.large" or "size.huge" entries.
