Advanced Bar Counter with HTF HighlightsAdvanced Bar Counter with HTF Highlights is a session-aware bar-counting indicator purpose-built for futures traders, particularly ES and NQ scalpers working on the 1-minute and 5-minute charts. It helps traders monitor higher-timeframe candle closures, developing market structure, and their position within the current session without repeatedly switching away from the lower timeframe.
The indicator places numbered labels beneath selected bars, with counting anchored to a user-defined regular trading hours (RTH) open. Electronic trading hours (ETH) can also be counted as a separate session when enabled.
Default behavior
In Auto counting mode:
• On a 5-minute chart, the first bar and every third bar are labeled. Each third bar represents the closing bar of a 15-minute interval.
• On a 1-minute chart, the first bar and every fifth bar are labeled. Each fifth bar represents the closing bar of a 5-minute interval.
This alignment makes it easier to identify when an important higher-timeframe interval is completing while continuing to analyze price action on the lower timeframe.
By default, the indicator displays only on the 1-minute and 5-minute timeframes. An optional setting allows it to appear on other timeframes.
Higher-timeframe highlights
A defining feature of this indicator is its ability to display session-aligned 15-minute, 30-minute, and 1-hour closing bars in separate, customizable colors.
These highlights are calculated from the number of minutes elapsed since the configured session open. This keeps the corresponding closing bars synchronized when switching between the 1-minute and 5-minute charts. When multiple intervals end on the same bar, the enabled higher-timeframe highlight takes priority.
For example:
• On a 1-minute chart, a trader can recognize when the current bar will also complete a 5-minute, 15-minute, 30-minute, or 1-hour interval.
• On a 5-minute chart, a trader can recognize when the current bar will also complete a 15-minute, 30-minute, or 1-hour interval.
The 15-minute highlight is automatically suppressed when every displayed label already represents a 15-minute boundary, as occurs with the default counting mode on a 5-minute chart. This prevents every label from receiving the same highlight and preserves the usefulness of the color hierarchy.
How it can be used
The bar counts and higher-timeframe highlights provide timing and structural context; they do not generate trade signals.
A lower-timeframe trader can use this information to observe how a higher-timeframe candle is completing. For example, a 1-minute trader may notice that the final bar of a 5-minute interval is closing near its high, while a 5-minute trader may observe the same behavior as a 15-minute interval completes. The same principle can be applied to the highlighted 30-minute and 1-hour boundaries.
This workflow is inspired by price-action concepts popularized by Al Brooks, including attention to candle closes, momentum, and alignment across timeframes. The information is intended to support discretionary entry refinement by helping traders evaluate whether lower-timeframe price action agrees with the developing higher-timeframe structure and momentum regime.
Settings
Users can customize:
• Automatic, odd-bar, every-third-bar, or every-fifth-bar counting
• RTH and ETH opening times
• Chart timezone
• Whether ETH bars are counted
• Visibility on timeframes other than 1 minute and 5 minutes
• 15-minute, 30-minute, and 1-hour highlights
• Highlight and default label colors
• Label size
• ATR-based or tick-based label spacing
The chart timezone setting should match the timezone selected on the PulseWire chart. The configured RTH and ETH opening times must also correspond to the intended futures session. Incorrect session or timezone settings will cause the counts and interval highlights to be misaligned.
Important notes
This indicator is a visual timing and session-orientation tool. It does not predict price direction, assess trade quality, place orders, or provide buy and sell signals. Higher-timeframe highlighting identifies interval boundaries only; traders must interpret the associated price action in the context of their own methodology and risk-management rules. Indicator

Zen RTH Trading ToolkitOVERVIEW
Three research modules combined into one overlay indicator, with every feature independently toggleable. Built to answer three practical questions on intraday index futures charts: where are the normal-day targets from yesterday's close, where are the breakout targets from the 18-bar opening range, and how stretched is today's move relative to the average.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
Most ABR/ADR and opening-range tools either use 24-hour ranges or assume a single session. This indicator does three things differently:
1. Session-aware RTH tracking. The ADR uses session-filtered highs and lows, not 24-hour daily bars. Snapshot and rollover both happen on the first bar of the session, which makes it work correctly on RTH-only charts where there is no session-end transition, and on charts that include extended hours.
2. Instrument presets with timezones. A single dropdown sets the correct RTH session and timezone for ES, FDAX, HSI, and Nikkei 225 futures. No typing session strings, no DST adjustments.
3. Data Window exposure. Every stats-table metric is also published as a Data Window plot, so the values remain available even when the on-chart table is hidden. Useful for spreadsheet export, historical bar inspection, and clean-chart workflows.
MODULE 1 - ABR MEASURED MOVES
Projects 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, and 2x ABR targets from yesterday's RTH close. Also plots yesterday's high and low, and the original 1x measured move from yesterday's range extremes.
ABR here is the Average Bar Range - the rolling average of daily RTH ranges over a configurable lookback (default 8 days). 1x from yesterday's close represents a typical day's travel on index futures; 2x is rare, hit roughly 1 percent of days.
MODULE 2 - OPENING RANGE
Default 18 bars, which is 90 minutes on a 5-minute chart. Locks the range at the end of bar 18 and draws a box plus configurable breakout projections at 0.25x, 0.5x, 0.75x, 1x, 1.5x, and 2x of the range, in both directions.
MODULE 3 - VOLATILITY STATS TABLE
Compact on-chart table showing:
- ABR: chart-timeframe average bar range
- ADR: average daily range, RTH and ETH columns
- Today: current session's range
- % ADR: percentage of ADR already used (turns red at 80%)
- OR %: opening range as a percentage of RTH ADR (fills in once the OR locks)
- Swing: swing target in points (% of RTH ADR, configurable, default 40%)
- Scalp: scalp target in points (% of RTH ADR, configurable, default 10%)
INSTRUMENT PRESETS
- ES (CME E-mini S&P 500): 0830-1600 America/Chicago
- FDAX (EUREX DAX): 0900-1730 Europe/Berlin
- HSI (HKEX Hang Seng): 0915-1630 Asia/Hong_Kong
- Nikkei (OSE Nikkei 225): 0845-1550 Asia/Tokyo
- Custom: set your own session and timezone
HOW TO USE
1. Add to a 5-minute chart of one of the supported instruments.
2. In settings, pick your instrument from the dropdown.
3. Toggle the modules and features you want. If you only want the stats table, turn the MM lines and the OR box off. If you only want the OR, hide the table.
4. Adjust the Swing and Scalp percentages to match how you size your targets.
WORKS ON
RTH-only charts and charts including extended hours. Designed for 5-minute and other intraday timeframes on index futures.
NOTES
This is a research tool. It shows volatility and structure context; it does not generate buy or sell signals and makes no claim about future performance.

Zen Open on High/Low (OOH/OOL) v3Zen RTH Open = HOD/LOD
This indicator flags the first bar of an RTH session when the open prints exactly on its high (Open = High) or exactly on its low (Open = Low) — the "shaved open."
█ WHY IT IS USEFUL
A shaved open on the first bar of the session is a rare structural event — on most liquid futures it occurs on only about 2% of sessions. Because the open and the extreme are literally the same tick, the opening level becomes an exact, unambiguous reference price rather than one buried inside a wick. Traders studying opening range behaviour, reversion to the open, or rare-event base rates can use this indicator to locate and count these events across their chart history.
█ WHAT IT MARKS
Green up arrow and translucent green highlight when Open = Low on the first bar
Red down arrow and translucent red highlight when Open = High on the first bar
Stats table (top right) showing Days, Open=Low, Open=High and Either across the visible chart history, with percentages
█ INPUTS
Tolerance (ticks) — 0 for exact shaved opens, raise to loosen the match
Highlight opening bar — translucent one-bar background band, transparency adjustable
Show arrows and labels — toggle chart markers
Stats table — toggle the running tally
█ TIMEFRAME
Designed for 5-minute and 15-minute RTH charts. Will also run on 1-minute and 30-minute. Not recommended above 60 minutes — the first bar becomes too large a slice of the session for the structure to be meaningful.
█ ALERTS
Built-in alerts for both Open = Low and Open = High conditions, firing once per bar close.
█ LIMITATIONS
The indicator relies on a day-change detection for session start, so it should be used on an RTH chart where each trading day starts on a fresh bar. On 24-hour or ETH charts, the detected "open" will be the overnight open rather than the RTH open. Tolerance is set in ticks, so at tolerance 0 the match must be exact to the tick — opens that are one tick off the high or low will not flag.

Bar Count (Timezone Fixed | Colorful Multiples)Bar Count (Timezone Fixed | Colorful Multiples)
This indicator sequentially numbers each bar within a trading day, featuring two key improvements over traditional bar counters:
1. Timezone Fixed – No More Noon Reset
Uses the exchange’s timezone to detect a new trading day ( time("D", syminfo.timezone) ), rather than local time or calendar date. The counter resets only at the exchange’s actual session start, eliminating the common issue where numbers reset at noon due to timezone differences or lunch breaks.
2. Colorful Multiples – Highlight Key Intervals
Supports custom colors for bars at specific multiples (e.g., every 12th, 24th bar). Visual markers help you easily identify repeating cycles, important time windows, or rhythm points without manual calculation.
Input Parameters
Label Size : Text size (Auto/Huge/Large/Normal/Small/Tiny)
Display at every X bars : Show label every X bars (set to 1 for every bar)
Default Color : Default label color
every N bars : The multiple interval (e.g., 12 for every 12th bar)
N bars Color : Color for bars at the specified multiple
Use Case
Ideal for intraday traders, especially those trading futures, forex, or indices with overnight sessions or lunch breaks. The timezone fix ensures accurate continuous numbering, while the color-coded multiples provide visual cues for recurring intervals.
本指标为图表上的每根 K 线按交易日顺序连续编号,并针对传统同类指标的痛点进行了两项关键改进:
1. 时区修正,告别中午重置
使用交易所时区判断新交易日( time("D", syminfo.timezone) ),而非本地时间或自然日。
Label Size :标签文字大小(自动/特大/大/正常/小/微小)
Display at every X bars :每 X 根 K 线显示一次编号(设为 1 则每根显示)
Default Color :默认标签颜色
every N bars :倍数间隔(例如 12 表示每 12 根 K 线使用特殊颜色)
N bars Color :倍数序号的标签颜色
适用场景
日内交易者、期货、外汇、指数等有夜盘或午休的品种,确保编号连续准确;同时通过颜色区分固定周期,辅助识别关键时间节点。 Indicator

Al Brooks Second Entry**\ Al Brooks Second Entry Indicator\ **
This custom indicator helps identify second-entry setups based on Al Brooks' price action principles. The script marks key levels in trending markets, indicating potential long and short entries. It displays the first and second entry signals (H1, H2, L1, L2) as well as relevant pullback zones for added clarity.
\ Features:\
\
\ \ First Entry Signals\ : H1 (Long) and L1 (Short) are marked when a trend begins to form.
\ \ Second Entry Signals\ : H2 (Long) and L2 (Short) are plotted once the market pulls back and continues in the direction of the trend.
\ \ EMA Filter\ : An Exponential Moving Average (EMA) is included to filter trades in the direction of the trend (longs above EMA, shorts below EMA).
\ \ Pullback Zones\ : Highlighted areas to assist in identifying optimal zones for entry.
\ \ Adjustable Label Sizes\ : Customize the appearance of the entry labels (tiny or small).
\
\ Inputs:\
\
\ \ Show First/Second Entry\ : Control whether the first (H1, L1) and second (H2, L2) entry signals are displayed.
\ \ EMA Length\ : Set the length of the EMA to use for trend direction.
\ \ Label Size\ : Choose between tiny and small label sizes for clear chart visibility.
\ \ Pullback Zones\ : Toggle the highlighting of pullback zones.
\
\ How it Works:\
\
\ The indicator detects a trend direction using price action (new highs/lows, inside/outside bars).
\ Once a trend is identified, it waits for a pullback and marks the first and second entry points (H1, H2, L1, L2).
\ The indicator also plots the EMA to help confirm the overall market bias.
\ Pullback zones are drawn to help spot potential areas of support or resistance.
\
This script is ideal for traders looking to trade retracements in trending markets, providing clear entry signals and a visual representation of market structure.

Indicator

Price Action All In OneThis indicator represents the most advanced level of price action indicators, incorporating six useful features: traditional gaps, shadow gaps, bar counting, moving averages, previous values, and IO pattern matching .
When I refer to price action, I mean the teachings of Dr. Al Brooks.
While you can find these features in other indicators, mine is more advanced. The default settings are designed to work on a 5-minute timeframe, but you can also use this indicator on other time periods if you prefer.
Gaps
Traditional Gaps: Occurs when the lowest price of a bar is higher than the highest price of the previous bar, or the highest price of a bar is lower than the lowest price of the previous bar.
Shadow/Tail Gaps: Occurs when the lowest price of a bar is higher than the highest price of the second last bar, or the highest price of a bar is lower than the lowest price of the second last bar.
Gaps indicate strength, and consecutive gaps in one direction are characteristic of a strong trend. They offer a perspective on the strength of a trend, signifying that limit orders on one side are at a loss with no opportunity to exit at breakeven. Can bulls or bears create gaps? Are the gaps they create filled, or do they remain open?
Traditional Gaps & Shadow/Tail Gaps
Bar Counting
The ability to use different timeframes (e.g., to determine the minute within an hour or the hour within a week).
Consistent display of 1; in other indicators, if you set intervals to 2, you see 2, 4, 6, etc., or 1, 2, 4, 6. In my indicator, you will see 1, 3, 5, etc.
In intraday trading, certain specific times are more important than others. For example, a form of reversal is more likely to occur at the midpoint of the trading day (if there are 80 candles in a day, the midpoint is at the 40th candle).
This doesn't mean you should make reversal trades at the 40th candle. The bar count feature simply reminds you of the current time, helping you gauge how long until the trading day ends. For instance, if there are 80 candles in a day and you're an intraday trader, you probably shouldn't make a swing trade at the 70th candle because there are only 10 candles left until the close—likely not enough time for a swing to develop.
Additionally, if you trade on a 5-minute timeframe, seeing candles numbered 3, 6, 9, etc. indicates the close of a 15-minute candle. This means that in addition to 5-minute timeframe traders, 15-minute timeframe traders will also pay attention to these candles, making them more significant. For the same reason, the 12th candle is crucial, as its close also marks the close of an hourly candle.
Day Time Frame & Week Time Frame
Moving Averages
Provides three EMAs. You can set different timeframes and choose between continuous or discrete modes.
Moving averages are excellent tools for determining trends. The 20 EMA is particularly popular, which increases its significance. Traders using different timeframes, such as 5-minute, 15-minute, and 1-hour, all utilize the 20 EMA. This indicator allows you to see what traders on 15-minute and 1-hour timeframes are observing, even when you're on a 5-minute timeframe.
Once again, the default settings of this indicator assume that the user is trading intraday on a 5-minute timeframe. However, if that's not the case, you can easily adjust the moving average periods. For instance, if you trade on a 1-hour timeframe and want to display the 4-hour and daily moving averages on your chart, this can be done effortlessly.
5m 20, 15m 20 & 1h 20
Previous Values
Features three previous value displays. You can set their sources and timeframes independently and define the range for all previous values.
For intraday trading, marking the previous day's high, low, and close prices can be crucial. While some other indicators provide this feature, mine does it better. You can set different timeframes and choose various sources. For example, you might want to display the average of (O+H+L+C)/4 for the last week.
In addition to setting the timeframe and source, you can also configure the display range:
All: This will show the data in all positions. For example, you can see the high price from two days ago on yesterday's chart.
Today: This will only display the previous day's high price on the current day's chart.
Timeframe: This will display the data based on the specified timeframe you set.
Last Week High, Last Day Close & Low(Timeframe Display)
IO Pattern Matching
More advanced than other IO pattern matching indicators. For adjacent IIs, it merges to display as III, IIII, and so on. The same applies to OO patterns. Additionally, it automatically merges adjacent IOI and II into IOII, and adjacent OO and IOI into IIOI.
II Pattern: This refers to two consecutive inside bar candles. On a lower timeframe, the II pattern forms a converging triangle, which is a breakout pattern. The II pattern could also potentially become a final flag, which is the last flag in a trend.
OO Pattern: This refers to two consecutive outside bar candles. On a lower timeframe, the OO pattern forms an expanding triangle. You can use the OO pattern similarly to how you would use an expanding triangle.
IOI Pattern: This pattern occurs when the first candle is contained within the second candle, and the third candle is also contained within the second candle. This is a breakout pattern and could similarly represent a terminal flag in a trend.
The appearance of II, OO, or IOI patterns does not necessarily mean you should make a reversal trade. These patterns are meant to mark potential moves in a lower timeframe within the current cycle, providing a new perspective on the market and reminding you to stay vigilant.
You shouldn't look for IO patterns in a tight trading range. There are many IO patterns in a tight trading range, but they don't hold much significance.
