GMMA Width Trendiness RSI

This indicator combines RSI with a new GMMA-based Trendiness metric designed to quantify what traders visually observe in the Guppy Multiple Moving Average.

Unlike conventional trend indicators that rely only on price movement or moving average slope, this indicator evaluates both the directional efficiency of the slow GMMA and the width of the GMMA bundle.

The result is a trend strength score that closely matches the actual appearance of the GMMA.

Features

* RSI with optional signal line
* Three Trendiness modes
* Price
* Slow GMMA
* Blend (Price + Slow GMMA)
* Slow GMMA Trendiness based on:
* Directional efficiency of the slow GMMA center
* Slow GMMA bundle width normalized by ATR
* Trend background that appears only during trending markets
* Bullish/Bearish trend detection using complete slow GMMA alignment
* Adjustable trend threshold and background intensity
* Alert conditions for:
* Trend start/end
* Uptrend/Downtrend
* RSI confirmation

Trend Detection

A bullish trend is recognized only when the slow GMMA is fully aligned:

30 EMA > 35 EMA > 40 EMA > 45 EMA > 50 EMA > 60 EMA

A bearish trend requires the opposite alignment.

This avoids false trend signals that often occur when using only moving average slope or a single moving average crossover.

Trendiness Calculation

The Slow GMMA Trendiness is calculated from two components:

* Directional efficiency of the slow GMMA center
* Normalized width of the slow GMMA bundle

A trend is considered strong only when both the direction is persistent and the GMMA bundle is sufficiently expanded.

This produces a Trendiness value that better matches the visual interpretation of GMMA than traditional momentum or volatility measures.

Notes

This indicator is intended for trend identification, not for generating automatic buy/sell signals.

It works best when combined with price action and the GMMA itself.
